Profiles disappearing on 9500

When I select profiles I only get the option to turn the phone off. If I select profiles from the front panel I get the message "application died". If I try to look at profiles under telephone/menu I get "Not enough memory". I have tried re-formating several times, which works & everything then behaves until I restore my data. Same happens when I restore to another 9500 so presumably something to do with the restored data. Any suggestions how I can solve this please?

Sounds like a memory issue - when you reload all your data and are having the issue, how much used / free memory do you have?
If it's very full might be worth adding things back on 1 by 1 till it happens?
Alternatively off to Nokia care I would suggest

  • "your notes" in buddy profile disappear

Recently, notes I might have put in a buddy profile disappear for no reason. I can put them back in and they can disappear again and again. Some seem to hold as expected and others just never seem to be able to retain the data. One in particular I have reentered information 4 times this month as recent as yesterday!
I just upgraded to 10.5.7 last week, but this problem began in 10.5.6
Any ideas what is going on?

This happened to me last night. I updated the night before, shut down my macbook and now lost my one and only secure note...and I didn't do Time Machine set-up yet. The latter I am embarrassed about.
Did you get any feedback about this?

  • ICC Printer Profiles Disappearing

I have OSX in a Mac Pro, and use Photoshop CS4. When printing, I cannot find the Epson 4000 profiles which I used with a prior PC. When I go to the ColorSync Utility, it does not show any of these profiles, though my application of Lightroom 2 does show the Epson Profiles. Does the OSX operating system keep the profiles in another place, and why would they have disappeared from the Photoshop printing module?

The Epson 4000 profiles do not get installed into the normal Profiles folder. Not from the OS X disks or even from Epson's own download. But they are on the hard drive. Go to:
    /Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter/PrintingModule/
Right click on the file "SPro4000_Core.plugin". Choose "Show Package Contents" from the contextual menu that appears. Open the folders /Contents/Resources/ICCProfiles/.
You'll find all of the supplied profiles in that folder. Copy them to the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder.

  • Remote Management profile disappears on reboot.

Yosemite Server. Yosemite iMac and MBP were updated using Net Install from the server. MBP's that were not set up using Net Install do not have issues.
mdm_profile.mobileconfig and other profiles delete upon reboot. Trust Profile are placed on computer. Enrolled computers through myserver/mydevices to place mdm_profile.mobileconfig on each computer.  Other profiles will be pushed to each computer successfully. After reboot they disappear. I had System Preferences open and one by one they were deleted.
It appears to have something to do with the Net Install, due to the fact that they are the only computers  that this occurs on. Any ideas?

It is possible. I just ran into this myself. The key is in understanding the difference between Supervised and unsupervised devices. Only supervised devices can be locked to an organizations profile manager. Devices are considered supervised when they are purchased by a company with a business account and account manager from apple.
If the device is supervised there are now additional settings you can adjust. You can also create device groups. Any device purchased from apple without a business account, or from anywhere else, is considered to be an unsupervised device. You can still add it to profile manager and control a lot, but the end user will be able to remove the Management Profile, and thereby all other profiles rolled out on the device or user level.
When you purchase from the apple business store, your account manager will set up a list of the devices.
You log into the Apple Deployment site and enter your order number.
All your new devices are auto ported into your profile manager.
At that point you can set them to device groups
    set device groups settings
then when turn them on they will force you to login, register, etc etc.
After that you can layer on device and/or user profiles on top of your group profile.

  • Problems with configuration profiles disappearing

So, I have inherited the task of joining our Macs to our Active Directory domain. To facilitate, and to get a handle on local profile vs network profile, I have joined the Macs in question to the domain, reassigned folder/file permissions to the network user, and all is relatively well.
However, most of our Mac users tend to use wireless, which can be difficult on network login at boot (granted the way Mac handles wifi connections at startup.) To handle *that*, I have used Apple Configurator to create a wifi profile that tells the Mac to load wifi at startup, and connect to the WPA2 WLAN we have for internal users with the supplied credentials and certificate. This profile works pretty well.
What I am running into is the following: On one Mac, I have found that if it it sleeps, it decides to have issues reconnecting to the wifi - this is usually cleared by either a reboot or preventing sleep (not the best options but they work). On several, I have this issue, which is more troubling:
The wireless profile just disappears. Users are unable to connect to wifi, and when looking in the Profiles, it's (now) completely blank. So, it would appear that something is removing/deleting the profile I have installed. This does *not* happen at boot/reboot, but seems to be (AFAICS) at random.
And there you have it – ever seen this?
What logs should I pull to see where/when/why this happens? Note: I have had this happen on one Mac more than once, and on another, only once thus far. The multiple incidents are on a Mac running 10.8.6  and the single incident is on one running 10.9.2.
Profile was created using Apple Configurator 1.5

    SolidWood --
A cert is indeed used, as this is the WPA2 Enterprise WiFi being used. The certificate in question is bundled into the Configurator package that gets pushed onto the Macs in question, and does indeed appear in the Keychain Access on the client machines. Additionally, the cert has not expired (expiration is 2017) - if indeed expired, my problems would be *much* larger than these Macs, as nearly every machine in the company uses the corp WiFi.
It's puzzling, as in one machine's case, I will push the config, it will work for days, and then without warning, the mobileconfig I added into Profiles is just...gone. I add it back, and all is well - but this is hardly an ideal situation.
I appreciate the response! I am just wondering now...where and which logs would, if at all, show me the drop/removal of the profile?

  • Help! System Profiler disappeared!

So I went to the about this mac section and clicked on more info, but nothing happened . So then I looked for my system profiler manually in the utilities folder and it wasn't there.
I haven no freaking idea how it disappeared, but it did. How can I get it back without installing my imac all over again? Especially since lion didn't come with installation cd's so it's not like I can extract it with pacifist.
Also can I know if anything else disappeared or got erased?
    Thanks a bunch!!!!!!

    Hey ,
Try to run a "repair disk permissions" in disc utility.
From the Go menu chose Utilities to open the utility applications folder. Find the application named Disk Utility and double click it to launch it.
The column at the left side of the Disk Utility window lists the available disk drives with the volumes they contain indented below each. Click on the indented volume with the name of the disk you want to check. Odds are you’ll only have one choice, a volume named “Macintosh HD”, unless you partitioned the Mac’s drive or added extra drives.
The right side of the window should already be showing you the First Aid tab, otherwise select it yourself.
Click the Verify Disk button at the lower right corner of the window to check the volume for errors. If no problems are found then congratulations, you’re half way home! If problems are found and the Repair Disk button is enabled click it and keep your fingers crossed that Disk Utility can tidy things up for you. If that button is dimmed you are probably checking the Mac OS X startup disk which, unfortunately, can’t be repaired while you’re running from it so you’ll have to use one of the other methods that follow to attempt a fix.
Assuming you passed the first test you can now click the Repair Disk Permissions button to find and fix problems with file ownership and access rights. It’s somewhat normal to see a few errors here especially after a software update and with printer drivers and internet plug-ins. Problems here are generally not critical but repairing permissions has been known to fix a few obscure issues from time to time.
You’re done! Press COMMAND + Q or choose Quit Disk Utility from the Disk Utility

  • Partner Profile disappeared

    Hi
I was trying to extract data from APO system to within APO BW system. It was running fine for many months. One day, it suddenly failed. The error analysis says Partner profile not active. When Checked in WE20, the Logical system name is missing.
I dont know how that could happen. My BASIS says they can't help with that, as no one can trace, who created/ deleted.
They say something triggers automatically by some action.
So any idea, how this could happen, and how to fix it ? As I just can't make an entry, as it does not allow me to add message type.
    Thanks for any help..

  • Smart Doc Scan 2.7 Scanner Profiles Disappear

    Hello,
In 64-bit Windows 7, with a Scanjet N8420 scanner, immediately after Smart Doc Scan 2.7 is installed, the Select a Scan Profile list is populated with many different profiles.  The software can be closed and re-opened multiple times and the profiles will be there each time.  After logging off/on, however, when the software starts, it displays "Scanner: There is no selected profile!" and the Select a Scan Profile list is empty/blank.  I can click Profiles/Import and browse to the Profiles.xml file, but the Import screen comes up blank also.  I also can't create a new profile.  If I re-install the software, the scenario will repeat, the profiles display normally until I logoff/on or reboot and logon.  I have completely uninstalled the HP scanning sofware, downloaded the latest version and re-installed.  Thanks for your help,

    Hi,
Have you installed the ISIS/TWAIN Drivers and Utilities prior installing HP Smart Document Scan Software or may you only installed the Basic Drivers? the ISUS/TWAIN drivers are required for Smart Doc to operate
I suggest unplugging the scanner and gremoving any installed HP software for your scanner, then reinstall the ISIS/TWAIN Drivers below:

    Next Reinstall HP Smart Doc:

Also see the followig note which listed on the download page:
The first time the SDSS software is launched after importing Scan Profiles from a previous version you may see a red X or the message "Upgrade Required" next to each of the imported profiles; simply restart the software to fix the problem.
    Hope that may help,

  • User profile disappeared after reboot

I rebooted my MBP Retina today. When booted back up I couldn't log in, wouldn't take my password. I booted into recovery mode to reset the password vua terminal. My user profile was not there, so I reset the password of another profile, logged in, checked users & groups again, my profile is not there. WHen I borwse the disk the folder structure of my username is there but profile is not. - Can i recover from this? I do NOT have a time machine backup.

    Hello jimjimk
All you would have to is go to System Preferences > Users & Groups and then create the user again. Pay attention to what you are creating and at least make sure that the short name is the same name as the folder in the Users folder. Once that is don’t you should see and alert that states A folder in the Users folder already has the name "short name". Would you like to use that folder as the Home folder for this user account?" just say yes, log out and then log back in to the user that was just created and all should be good.
How to get files from a previous home directory after Archive and Install
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2196
    8. Use the Accounts pane in System Preferences to create a new user with the same short name as the home folder moved in the previous step.
    9. Click OK when prompted with "A folder in the Users folder already has the name  "short name".  Would you like to use that folder as the Home folder for this user account?". This will correct the ownership on all files in the Home.
    10. Log out.
    11. Log in as the user created in the previous step.

  • Macbook 10.10.4 Update Killed Outlook Profile & disappeared documents

We have a user that installed the 10.10.4 update on his macbook and it seemed to go okay until he restarted and his outlook profile and some documents are missing.  Outlook started up with the wizard and he says there was an important document he just finished using that is gone.  He is an Active Directory user with a mobile account that had been working without issue until the update.
I'm not a Mac expert but I checked the user folder on the hd and it appears he is logged into the correct profile and user folder.  Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

  • User profiles disappearing

This is a problem we are experiencing with OS 10.6.8 on an X Serve with client iMacs. I have some users that have been on our system for 4 months, in which time they've built up work only to find it missing since our return from the Christmas break.
All user accounts are set up in the same manner, in the same network share, and using time machine on the X serve are backed up to our SAN. I'm currently unable to restore lost work/profiles, as whilst the user is visible in Workgroup Manager, looking on the iMac they've used, the share directory or the Time Machine backups, I see absolutely no trace of their profile.
    Any help is appreciated

  • Default printer, in RDS W2012 roaming profile, disappear sometimes

    Hello!
We have a problem with the defaults printers in my roaming profiles. We have an AD W2012 and my domain users can connect to a RDS farm in W2012 too. Obviously the roaming profile works fine. In other W2012 server, I have a printServer, with all the company
printers installed. The user only must to add any printer listed in the directory to his session, because the server already have the drivers installed correctly.
The problem starts when during the day, in any moment, the user lost the default printer, he is printing 3 or 4 followed documents, and can lost 1, a message appear: The user XXX don't have any default printer in his profile!! This occurs in every moment,
but not always. Others users can print during all the day without any error, but at the next day they can get the error other time.
We dont' see any error, about this in the event viewer.
    Thanks.

    Hi Pedro,
Would you please let me confirm whether this issue occurred after anything changed (install any third-party
application or update)? Or did this issue occurred suddenly?

It’s an odd issue. Just check if have new print drivers which need to be installed.

    Hope this helps.

  • Updated Nikon D810 camera calibration profiles disappeared LR5

  • Soft Proofing:  View Proof Setup Custom:  Profile Disappears when Re-opened

    Photoshop CS6 on Mac
Edit an image file and get it to where I like on the monitor
Duplicate the file and set the new file to the profile for the printer which will be used, by using View > Proof Setup > Custom and setting an imported printer profile for the printing company that I use.
As soon as you do that, the file looks like crap, so...
Edit the soft proof file to get it to where it looks good again.
Save off the file for the printer and also save the new PSD file.
    Close the PSD file.
Reopen the new (soft proofed) PSD file.
Still looks good, but.... when you check View > Proof Setup it's now generally set to Custom: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 instead of to the imported printer profile which was set previously.  WHY????  Where did the printer profile go?  Is it supposed to do this?
If I then reset View > Proof Setup to the correct printer profile, the image goes to crap again.
Is this me doing something wrong, or is the PSD file not properly remembering the printer profile, or... what's going on here?
    Thanks much!

None of what you write makes any sense whatsoever to me, sorry.
Let's start by using correct terminology.  For the last time, you are not "importing" any freaking profile.  Wrap your head around that once and for all, please.
Let me try once again, totally disregarding the scenarios you were unsuccessfully attempting to describe above.  Forget all that mumbo jumbo for now, please.
You have not mentioned what your working space is, so let's assume it's Adobe RGB.
You have finished editing an image, so now you have an AdobeRGB-tagged image.  Fine.
Now you want to soft proof it to see what it will look like in that FujiWonderPrinterInAlaskaUsingMatteThaiElephantPoopPaper printer in Anchorage.  (Made up names of course.)
So you make a duplicate COPY of your finished image file named BabyPictForPrint.psd.  You're still in Adobe RGB, of course.  You put the original away in a safe and forget about it—forever.  That's like your negative in film days.
Now you soft proof the BabyPictForPrint.psd COPY by using the infamous FujiWonderPrinterInAlaskaUsingMatteThaiElephantPoopPaper.icc profile the outfit in Alaska sent you.
When you soft proof it with that Alaska profile, you have not imported anything.  Photoshop is simply using the profile you pointed it to to show you in your monitor what it would look like.  Your pixels so far are untouched, yet yo see your image "die" before your very eyes.  Ouch!  Now you need to compensate for the effect of printing under those proposed conditions, so you set about the task of editing the copy accordingly.  Remember, you're still in Adobe RGB.
Once you have the copy just the way you like it, YOU SAVE ALL YOUR CHANGES in that copy.  Now you have a fully edited image file in the Adobe RGB space but tweaked to look fine when printed in the FujiWonderPrinterInAlaskaUsingMatteThaiElephantPoopPaper printer.
At that point you are done!  Finished!
Now you are faced with two choices:
    A) Sending the finished, saved ADOBE RGB COPY to your printer if you consider him capable of knowing what he's doing.  (If you think he does not know his business, look for another printer).  Or…
    B) Assume you're dealing with a moron on the other end who wants the image CONVERTED to his custom FujiWonderPrinterInAlaskaUsingMatteThaiElephantPoopPaper.icc.  If that is the case, then open your COPY in Photoshop, go to the Edit menu > CONVERT to Profile… and convert the copy to the infamous FujiWonderPrinterInAlaskaUsingMatteThaiElephantPoopPaper.icc profile.  It's critical to use CONVERT TO Profile, not "Assign Profile"!
At that point, under scenario B), you do not EVER want to return to Proof View / Soft Proof mode, ever, EVER again, because then you would be applying the profile doubly and you'd see your image die before your eyes once again, and if you edited it you'd have real elephant poop!
    Hope that helps.
