Profit center field and internal order field in sales order

Hello all,
I am unable to find the settings for profit center field and internal order field in sales order account assignment tab screen. kindly let me know the path and configuration settings.

Hi Srinivas
If you want to assign the profit center then make sure that the Profit center is assigned in MMR->Sales orgn 1 view .
But to assign the Profit center in MMR also you need to configure the Profit center first for your Material in your company code with the help of FI/CO consultants and then assign then the profit center will flow from MMR to sales order item data->account assignment tab

Hi Experts,
Profit center is not picking correctly.. in PO
In material master Profit center is configured as XXXX
We have raised a sales order for the same material with two line items (e.g) 1500 kgs & 1600 kgs and profit center has been changed in the sales order to YYYY
There is one purchase requistion for the same material with two line items
But we have raised two purchase order for each line item in which the same sales order is linked to these two purchase order.
In the first PO , for the first line item in sales order ie., 1500 kgs profit center is picked from the sales order ie, XXXX which is correct but in the second PO, for the second line item in sales order ie., 1600 kgs profit center is picking as YYYY ie which is configured in material master.
What could be reason ? Help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Check the Account assignment in the 2nd PO.. Does it have E as Acct Assgn Category?
It should have sales order as the account assignment... If yes, then it must pick up PC from the sales order...
Try to put a deletion flag to this PO and create a new one, if possible... You would come to know if some one has changed the PC

Difference in Profit Center Document and CO-PA Document

Hi,
We are getting difference in Profit Center Document and CO-PA Document Cancelled Sales Invoice.
Sales Accounts GL:
Profit Center Document amount in Sales Accounts GL: 558095.04
CO-PA amount in Sales Accounts GL: 558095.15
In Sales Invoice, Exchange Rate is maintained as 7.75132
Invoice Amount is 72000 USD. So the Amount calculated should be 558095.04.
In Accounting Document the Amount posted as 558095.15 for the GL Sales Account.
But in Cancelled Sales Invoice, Amount posted is 558095.04 in GL Sales Account.
So Profit Center Document is picking the Amount 558095.04, but CO-PA document is picking wrong amount i.e from Sales Invoice and not from Cancelled Invoice.
Please help me to understand why Co-PA Document is fetching amount from Sales Invoice and not Cancelled Invoice.
Also why there is difference in Sales Order Invoice and Cancelled Sales Oder invoice Amount.

Yes you can transfer the planning data from COPA to ECPCA. You can do the configuration at
SPRO->Controlling->Profitability Analysys->Planning->Integrated Planning->Set up transfer of planning data to ECPCA/FIGL
Then you can use TCode KE1V to transfer the planning data.

Dear expert,
Please advise how to substitute successfully the profit center by which user-exit via FI substitution function.
Substitutions have been set for profit centers in FI via t-code OBBH, but the profit center will always be determined from the internal order when posting from MM subcon goods receipt

Hi,
SAP give note 539421 - Dummy profit center with cost center
account assignment. Looks applicable for your case.
Solution:
With the attached modification, you can restore the function from Release
3.1: The directly assigned profit center remains and is not overwritten
with the dummy profit center of the cost center.
The problem is not caused by a program error in this case. The profit
center is always derived from the existing CO account assignment even if
this is the dummy profit center (see also Note 62417).
This note applicable from release 40 until 605
I hope this can help you. FYI, in my case, i do not create dummy profit centre, then profit centre working as sap priority.

MRP Generated production orders greys out Sales Order and Customer fields

The MRP generated production orders greys out the Sales Order and Customer fields for some reasons. These fields are really important as they link the production order to the sales order and the customer's purchase order. Could the SAP team please fix this or advise alternative way of getting the sales order and customer info on production order? Thanks.

MRP only poulated this fields in case the material master has been set up with a strategy group hich is make to order (normally 20). Otherwise MRP summarizes all the requirements from different Customer orders and creates a production order

Profit Center Planning and CO-PA

Dear All,
We are using Both Profit Center Planning and CO-PA ,it is possible to lead over the planned data, turnover and mat. costs, from CO-PA to the profit center accounting. Therefore it is necessary to maintain a transfer scheme in the customization of COPCA and to assign value fields of CO-PA to the relevant accounts of COPCA.
So can anyone guide me how to do this..

Issue on profit center group and profit center group hierarchy

hi experts
I have a requirement where i have profit center,profit center group and profit center group hierarchy.
profit center group and profit center group hierarchy are same?if they are same how to get them into BI.if they are not same how to get them into BI
im using two datasources 2lis_11_vaitm and 2lis_12_vcitm,how to connect the profit center group and profit center group hierarchy with the datasources,My dataflow is on top of these datasources there are two write optimised dso and on top of those w-o dso there are std dso and on top of the std dso there is a infocube.on infocube there is multiprovider

Hi Sivaram,
Profit Center would be an attribute of any object which is used in the 2lis datasources. maybe CO Order or WBS etc...from these objects Profit Center should be or could be made as navigational attribute.
Further you can load the master data and hierarchy from the datasource 0PROFIT_CTR_0106_HIER

what is key fields and non-key field of condition table?

Key field
Each condition table contains keys that can be used for creating dependent condition records.
for example let take condition type PR00.
PR00 uses access sequence PR02 .
Access sequence PR02 has following tables associated with it namely 304, 305 & 306
When you create a conditon record for PR00 with transaction VK11 or VK31, you have a button 'key combination' which is nothing but fields associated with tables 304, 305 & 306.
In brief, Condition records are always created using specific keys. Condition tables are used to define the structure of the keys of a condition record.
Non key field
For example take condition table 144 - sales deal basic data.
Table 144 is associated with access sequence PBUD.
If you check the fields associated with this table (click technical view button), there are three fields at bottom which do not have 'key' check mark -KDATU, PLTYP, KSTAF
So, when you create a condition record for PBUD, system does not propose these 3 fields in 'key combination' and hence are non key fields.

Or any other way to to achieve this functionality in ME2xN.
Our Requirement is while raising a service PO in the Limits tab the 'Overall limit' should be same as 'Expected Value', at present the user can enter overall limit greater than 'Expected Value'.

this will not work. you cannot add another structure (AUFK) on top of CEBAN. all characteristics have to be of one structure and since you want to release a PR it has to be CEBAN. before attempting to program something around that why do you not go to tx. OLME -> PR -> Release Strategy -> With Classfication -> Release Strategie and run it in a simulation mode. you will then see how it reacts.

I am using weblogic 8.1 and MyEclipse 5.1.1. I am deploying my ear application through MyEclipse 5.1.1 as an ear file.
When I ran the following EJB QL:
SELECT OBJECT(p) FROM Product p.category = ?1
I get the following error:
n relation Category-Product, a cmr-field and a cmp-field on the bean are using the same name. The names of cmr and cmp fields must be unique.
It is basically complaining that I have a field

cmr field which is "category" in ur mapping , u can't use as cmp field in abstract schema mapping. just remove category from cmp field . and every thing is fine

Profit center hierarchy and cost center hierarchy

What are the things we have to consider to create Profit center hierarchy and cost center hierarchy and what is the need to assign profit center hierarchy to profit center and cost center hierarchy to cost center. What levels does this fall into? Can some one please guide me.

As you would for any other infoobject
Activate the business content hierarchy datasources on R3 for cost centre and profit centre
Go into BW - replicate the metadata
Then just connect via transformations or transfer rules the datasources to yoru infosources or master data objects
Create an infopackage per hierarchy!!!!! - press the button available hirachies from OLTP - click the one you want on the left - fire it off
Then repeat new infopackages for all hierachies

The requirement is to change the profit center group and cost center group from one node to another. Please remember it is trying to simulate the transactions KCH5 and OKEO programatically.
I would like to know if somebody had this requirement previously and had made use of some function module or some other technique which will help in changing the standard hierarchy nodes.

Profit center dummy and company code XX01 are not consistent

Hi Gurus ,
can you please tell what i should do when the system gives the message that Profit center dummy and company code XX01 are not consistent . this is happening when i post document in FB50.

Owing to program or transport errors, the company code assignment of profit centers may not be stored correctly.
This inconsistent data then causes program terminations or short dumps in further processing.
This note contains the report ZPCA40B_CHECK_CEPC_BUKRS, which checks the consistency of the company code assignment and corrects possible errors.

Header and Item Incoterms different in Sales order

Hello SAP Guru's,
I have an unique issue of Incoterms in Sales order item being different from the Header, when this happens any change to the header Incoterms is not getting copied to sales order Items.
The issue is due the different Division maintained for Sales order item in the Material master, which is fetching the Inco 2 from the Different Sales area for this is customer.
This is fine as per design where Item category is checked for Business data and Sales Document type is checked for different Division in the config.
However the Business would like the Header Incoterms to be copied to all items and any change in Header should also be copied to Line items also.
We had narrowed down on Couple of Alternatives:
Remove the Business data allowed check in the Item category config
But this would allow all Business data to be copied from sales order header to items
2. Make changes to VBKD user Exit during Sales order creation to copy the Incoterms from Sales order header to items
But this is causing multiple lines in VBKD and some issues while adding new items in VA02 ending with an Update termination.
Would like to know whether there is any other Option whether there would be least impact and also would like your advice on the better Option between the above two Options.

Finally we removed the Business Item check in the Item category which is causing the Header incoterms and any changes in Header incoterms to be copied to Sales Order line items as required but we have an issue where Sales Order item Pricing date is being greyed out due these changes, Currently the Sales order Pricing date is being determined through a Z table triggered from a User Exit which was also editable in Sales order item level.
Due to these new changes Sales order pricing date is being determined in the header and getting copied to the Sales order line item thus greying out the Sales order item pricing date field.
Would like to know your thoughts on how removing the Business Item check in Item category in VOV7 is causing the grey out of sales Order item pricing date, where the Business can modify on certain occasions and what would the workaround to restore the functionality of Sales order item pricing date.

Need IDOC and segment for mappping the sales order number

Hi,
we need the IDOC name and segment for mapping the sales order number created by oracle in sap for transaction VA01.
Whether the sales order number created by Oracle can be used to create the sales order in sap using the idoc ACC_SALES_ORDER01?
. If we can do,then what is the segment and field for the sales order number in the idoc ?

Hi,
IDOC for sales order is ORDERS05. Segment E1EDKA1, for field go to SE11 and enter E1EDKA1 to find field for sales order.
