Profit Center Value in the Purchase Order Pricing

Dear Friends
I am stuck at a process design step and I need your help to proceed further.
We have created a new Condition type in MM Purchasing to display the charges incurred towards the inward freights.
These freight costs vary depending on the Profit center. ( The Profit Center is already included in the Communication Structure KOMP) So We have Profit center field included as one of the field in the Table and in access sequence.
The Profit center is visible in the item data of the Purchase order in the Account Assignment Tab Page  Under Item Details section.
But this value is stored in EKKN & not in EKKO or EKPO
I have created condition records  also.
Now when I create  a  PO the value is not picked from the condition records. When i looked at Pricing analysis the value for Profit center is Blank.
So Kindly advice me how can i get the value of the Profit center in the condition records.

Hi,
We have  a similar scenario with the order type and we created a new field as ZZBSART in the field catalogue.
included the ZZBSART in to the communciation structure KOMG so that it will be available in the KOMK structure.
After that, some coding have to be written in the user exit J_117_USEREXIT_FILL_KOMK_KOMP.
Sample coding for Vendor region
Select single regio into XKOMK - regio
   Where LIFNR = XKOMK LIFNR
Try with this and let me know if you have any issues.

    If you want to overwrite the profit center in sale order (determined from the materail master) with a different profit center based some other criterion you can use profit center substitution rules. Check the wiki:

  • Assign manual cost and profit center for 3rd party purchase order

    When we have a 3rd party purchase order we need to assign OUR cost and profit center to that document.  Here is the scenario:
    We buy a product from a vendor for $10 and then re-sell the product to a customer for $100.  Instead of posting this information to either cost or profit center of the vendor and customer, we need to assign the $10 to our company cost center and the $90 to our company's profit center.  We are basically acting as a middle man for selling a product.
    I am fairly a newbie, so please provide detailed answers if possible.  We create the sales order in VA01 and create the purchase order in ME22N.

    For any accounting entry you need to define a General Ledger Account where the details (Amount) of the transaction will be stored.
    Just by maintaining cost centre will not help in completing any transaction involving accounts. So you need to  maintain G/L account in the controlling area of your company code.
    You can use T Code FS00 to create new G/L account in the chart of accounts.
    In the edit cost element Tab you can give the cost center that you want.

  • Printing Tax values in the Purchase order

    Hi MM Gurus,
        In the print out of Purchase order, I am getting the Total net value excluding tax
    while the requirement is PO should have the value including the tax. Tax setting is
    maintained and I am getting all the tax values properly in the P.O. but in print out
    tax amount is not coming. How to resolve this? Any configuration required in the
    IMG or is it an ABAP work? Kindly let me know as early as possible.

    Hi Yoga,
    It is not clear whether you are using the standard SAP layout for PO printing or you have prepared your own layout. It is also not clear whether you want the %age of tax is to be printed or the value of tax.
    I assume you have prepared your own layout using smartforms.
    You have to get in touch with your ABAPer to modify the smartform for tax %age/amount.
    You can get the table tables using FV13.
    I hope you know how to get those details.

  • BAPI_PO_CHANGE, changing condition value in the purchase order

    Hi Friends,
    I have a requirement,
    a flat file is present in the application server that contains the information about PO,PO-ITEM,Condition type, movement type , condition value, plant, storage location .
    And i m calling the bapi "BAPI_PO_CHANGE" and passing the po number to it.
    the bapi returns the following tables, i_return, i_header,i_cond, i_item,i_itemx.
    But the purpose of calling the BAPI is, to check, if the condition value in the specified PO is '0', then it has to replace with the value of condition type present in the flat file.
    But when we check the tablei_return, its shows error type.
    And the PO is not updated with the new  condition value.
    Help me out in sorting this problem, by telling me
    what value is to be passed to the respective BAPI and what should i do to solve the issue?
    and after that i m using a BAPI " BAPI_GOODSMOVEMENT_CREATE".
    and it is for the purpose of creating the GR(Goods Receipt),
    when i go through the i_return table of the bapi, it si returning a message that "BAPI_201  Unable to create goods movement".
    Help me in proving the input to those bapi's and how can i get the expected output?
    And let me know, what the bapi's ,"BAPI_COMMIIT" and " BAPI_ROLLBACK" , will be doing?

  • Purchase Order Pricing Condition and Withholding Tax

    Hi
    We have investigated Extended Withholding Tax functionality, which appears to be FI specific.
    The problem is that we want to have the Purchase Order pricing conditions reflect that some amount is being withheld for tax purposes.
    At invoice time, the vendor would invoice for the entire amount (i guess) (ie. 100$) but we would pay the vendor only 80$ and 20$ would go to a withholding tax account...or something like this would happen ...
    I have some pricing config knowledge...but limited
    Can anyone tell me
    a) if this is possible?
    b) any hints on how to go about this?
    Also noticed a 'withholding tax code' field on MEK1 - Create Condition Records. .... which appears as display only depending on how i configure my condition type - haven't figured out how to use this field or what is means...

    If you are using the standard PO Print then check in M/08 and check for that Condition Type whether Print Indicator is "X"? If it is is Z-Print Program then take help of ABAPer.

  • Substituion of profit center while posting to internal orders

    Dear experts
    Can anyone guide me to substitute a different profit center while posting to a real internal order.
    I tried substitution rules, user exits, etc.  Eventhough the control goes there, substituion is ineffective since profit center assigned to the internal order in its master data is getting replaced again.
    Any other work around is possible to achieve this.

    Find below your clarification for the points
    Why we assign cost center while posting to any G/L, even though we have been assign cost center to the cost element it will post the co entry through cost element.: Once you have assigned cost center to cost element in T.code OKB9 or KA01, no need of manually entering the cost center for the respecting primary cost GL while passing enteris.
    Please any one make me understand the internal logic and process of how cost element and cost center works.: Whenever you post a cost to primary cost element , you require an object in Controlling , such as cost center to identify the costs. This primary costs are only created when the respective GL exist in the operational chart. Cost center is the location where cost incurs. Thus when you assign the cost to cost center , the cost will be booked against that particular location .

    While capturing excise invoice , the excise rate and value is not getting defaulted from the purchase order and in Excise Item Tab BED,AED,ECS is Zero at both header as well as item level for only one material in STO process and if we are doing same process taking other material all things are coming perfectly and We are maintaining condition with respect to vendor,plant and material combination.Any input related to this will be helpfull and rewarded.

    Follow STO Process for this;
    1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group: 0007 using T-Code XK01.
    2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
    4. In pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
    Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
    Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings, Create the STO using T-Code: ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
    11. In supplying plant Maintain condition record in sales using VK11 the same will flow in receiving plant when referring the OBD no during MIGO.
    10. Create Delivery: VL10G
    12. Picking, PGI: VL02N
    13. Billing: VF01
    Save the document and its done
    14. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice
    15. MIGO - Goods Receipt against outbound Delivery
    16. J1IEX - Capture & Post Excise Invoice

  • User Exit / BAdI to update the pricing conditions of the Purchase Order

    Hello SAPients,
    This is my requirement:
    "Copy the Pricing Conditions from the Shipment Cost Document (VI01 / VI02) to the automatically generated Purchase Order".
    I'm using the enhancement V54U0002 (Function Module EXIT_SAPLV54U_002) to EXPORT  the values of the Pricing Conditions to memory and I have used the enhancement MM06E005 ( FM EXIT_SAPMM06E_006, 007, 012, 013, 014, 016, and 017) to IMPORT the values from memory and store them in TKOMV. But, when the PO is generated the values don't stay, they are always changed with the standard PBXX pricing conditions.
    My question is: Does anyone know the User Exit / BAdI that I can use to change the Pricing Conditions of the Purchase Order?

       May I know why you do not use cost center for consumption?
       You may create a new account assignment category in OME9 by copying K and maintain the cost center as optional. Please note that you have to maintain the item category blank and the account assignment category combination in OMG0. Now, you can use a GL account in PO which doesnt require a cost center assignment (in OBC4 against the field status group of the GL)
       You may use the same account assignment category created in the previous step with item category D, after you maintain the combination of the account assignment with item category D in OMG0.
        Please test the scenario and revert back.

  • ERP Sales Order with Profit Center value mandatory in ECC side!

    I'm working with a scenario using SAP CRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0 EHP4, using ERP Sales Order and ERP Quotation.
    The sales order transaction type in ECC side is set up to use profit center at item level as mandatory and I can't find this attribute at Item Details in CRM Webclient. I can't save my order, because this error and the AB Incompletion Log always shows this error.
    Any ideas? Is it possible set profit center value in CRM?

    Profit center is used for internal controlling purpose. It helps you to analyze clearly the costs and revenues.
    You can create Profit Centers according to product lines and Functions. Before creation of profit center we should do the basic settings you divide your business or company into internal areas of resposibility. You divide your business into profit centers by assigning it to master data like Materials, Projects , Cost centers, sales orders .
    It is necessary to assign to SD sales orders to Profit Centers in order to reflect receivables, sales revenues and sales deductions on profit centers
    The profit center assignment is also passed on from the sales order through the supply chain: sales order --> delivery note --> goods issue --> billing document. This means that the when a goods issue is posted, the corresponding revenue value for the goods is also passed on to the profit center of the sales order.
    Each order item is assigned to a profit center. The system proposes the profit center of the material in the supplying plant as default, you donot assign profit center manually. This default supports both a product‑oriented and geographical division of your organization into profit centers.
    AFter Creation of profit center you will assign sales order to profit center.
    IMG --> Controlling --> Profit Center Acounting > Assignments of A/c assignemnt objects to profit centers>sales orders --> assign sales orders
    The system uses these substitution rules to determine the profit center from sales orders. You also need to activate these substitutions for each individual controlling area
    b. for that we need to activate  the indicator "Ent org active" then we proceed accordingly.
    IMG --> Controlling --> Profit Center Acounting --> Enterprise organization
    c. The system proposes the profit center of the material in the supplying plant as default, you donot assign profit center manually. When you create a sales order item, the default profit center is copied from Material master or Substituioon rule
    IMG --> Controlling --> Profit Center Acounting > Assignments of A/c assignemnt objects to profit centers>sales orders --> Sales orders substituion rules
    Profit center configuration
    It is configured in Controlling:
    IMG --> Controlling --> Profit Center Acounting --> Master Data --> Profit Center
    When you are trying to create a profit center it will ask for Contolling area.

    Profit Center replacement   in Tcode VA01 and VA02
    I want to replace the profit center value (COBL- PRCTR) in Account assignment TAB in sales order creation time VA01 and VA02 by using custom logic (Line item Material Group and Sales District VBKD-BZIRK).
    Can anyone tell me what exit or BADI I can use for this ( I tried some of them and not working properly).
    1.     In Exit I need to have the value of Sales District VBKD-BZIRK and Line item u2013 Material Value  - These 2 field values I need in the exit.

    What do you mean this is not correct user exit. That is an include and there are user exits within that include.
    Have you tried save document prepare?  If yes, what have you done?
    Don't just blindly say 'that is not correct' or don't expect someone code for you. You better try in different way and learn how to do it. I just got it worked in my system just in 5 minutes in debug.
    You are not going to change COBL-PRCTR but you should change XVBAP-PRCTR.
    put a break point in userexit_save_document_prepare in include MV45AFZZ
    Loop through XVBAP and change PRCTR as per your logic.... This changed PRCTR carried till end (billing document/accounting document). I can see the profit center document with changed profit center.
    Good luck... if that solves. Mark this thread appropriately.

    We have three profit centers & three finished goods..All the three finished goods are manufactured  in all the three profit center.At the time of sales order , i am not sure from which profit center i am going to deliver to the customer.so i want to update the profit center field at the time of delivery order.
