Profit centre planning

can you guide me in the steps needed to build a profit centre planning in SEM-BPS. I need to create a model,so could someone guide me through it.

    The user requires to delete the exising Profit centre plan and enter fresh (we use 7KEX to upload plan). Is there any other option than entering zero values to overwrite the exising values to delete the exising data?

    Hi,
    With transaction 0KE1 by leaving 'blank' the field 'profit center' all
    profit centers are considered for the deletetion. You can reset all
    your planning data without selecting one by one.

    One company seems to have uploaded the same plan (via 7KEX) several times.
    Is it possible to delete or reverse this plan upload data?

  • Problem while running the Profit center Plan/Actual Report in Background

    While executing the T.Code s_alr_87009722 (Profit Centre plan/Actual Comparision Report) on fourground it is giving all the profit centers/groups in the particular profit center group. But when i run the same report in back ground mode it is picking only the last profit center in that group. Please help me regarding the same.

  • Cost Centre Plan data not updating FAGLFLEXT

    Dear Experts,
    In our production environment, our cost centre plan is not updating FAGLFLEXT table. Profit centre plan using GP12N is fine.
    We are using the New GL and have FIN-CCA and FIN-PCA scenario activated.
    Integrated planning is ticked in the planning versions for both Controlling and New GL Plan versions.
    Controlling plan version and New GL plan version have the same name.
    In table Controlling table COSP, I can see the plan data on business transaction type RKP1.
    I expect to see it in FAGLFLEXT with RKP1 but I see no plan values at all.
    In fact, in the previous 3 environments, we have not had this problem and cost centre plan and actual has updated FAGLFLEXT. Only in Production...
    Any suggestions? Help if you can! Thanks alot,

    Dear Ravi,
    I don't think this is the problem.
    It seems that:
    - the CC plan was created -> it updated CO tables e.g. COSP -> no update to FAGLFLEXT
    - the CC plan was deleted -> it updated CO tables with negative value -> updated FALFLEXT with negative value
    -the CC plan was update again -> it updated CO table -> updated FAGLFLEXT and balance with negative value is zero
    - the CC plan was deleted again -> it updated CO tabe with negative value -> FAGLFLEXT  is in minus value!
    It seems like somewhere between first and second steps, the scenario FIN-CCA was not behaving like it was active!
    Have you come across this before?

    For better view of Profit Centre Reports we are planing to change the Profit Centre Hierarchy.
    I wanted to know that, are there some Specific Points which we have to take care of, before changing the Hierarchy?
    Will some other settings get affected in System after changing the Hierarchy?
    Also i want to know the TCode for entering Profit Centre Budget in System.

    Hi,
    Profit centre planning (there is no budget for profit centres) is entered via 7KE1 transaction. If you change your hierarchy you should think of the effect on your reporting and allocation processes. That is if you use certain group in your cost allocation cylce and now you change it, it might have an effect on costs distribution.

  • Activity elements planned values not showing in profit centres and cc.

    Hi,
    i'm currently working on a project involving Co and PS. I'm in charge of the CO module and i've got a problem with planned values on activity elements and in PS. Planned values are calculated on activty elements and so are actual and they show in real time in profit centres and cost centres but not their planned counterpart values. i've absolutely nothing on profit and cost centres reports. Integrated planning is activated in PS and so is project in versions.
    i've asked the PS "Expert" and he said it comes from the "plan cost calculation" tab in cj20n, which obviously isn't the cause.
    Doesn't it come from the project profile or status profile customizing? (opsa or ok02)?
    Can the problem come from CO?

    what is the difference between FAGL_CO_PLAN and transaction 1ke0.
    when i log on transaction 1ke0, i can see all my planned values.
    wouldn't the issue be resolved by launching t-code faglgcle "fi-gl activate update of plan line items" ?

  • Validate the posting date for profit centre documents actual/plan

    Hi,
    I have an requiremnt where we want system to validate the posting date for profit centre documents actual/plan, Functionality should be same as system check  posting period for FI documents maintained in OB52 and controlling cost centre documents posting period maintained in OKP1.
    For creating Profit centre document activity types are available in Tcode 0KEO.
    I have come across Exits EXIT_SAPLPC08_001 and  EXIT_SAPLPC08_002. But i am notsure whether we can use these and implement these.
    PLease suggest what can be done to achieve this.

    U can use subsititution and specify that the profit center could be your head office or the store as per your req...
    I think thats the only option we have..

  • Automatic plan figures updates at Profit Centre level.

    Hi,
    I would like to know whether do we have any scenario like Automatic Plan figures updates at Profit Centre Accounting level when we do Cost Centre planning.  The Profit Centre should be picked up by the system automatically from the Cost Centre master. 
    Of course, here the Cost Centre to Profit Centre relationship is 1:1. 
    If anybody come across the above required scenario, please let me know how to achieve it.

    Note: I know we can copy the Cost Centre plan figures to Profit Centre level by using copy function.

    In version maintenance, you need to tick integrated planning....
    In PCA, create the doc types for planning and maintain no ranges...
    Also, if you are on New GL and you want to use New GL planning, you need to do settings in new GL menu for the same... assign version to ledger, fiscal year , etc
    last month there were couple of threads on it .. Refer this link for new GL planning settings

  • Stock balances by Profit centre-New GL

    Hi,
    Is there any standard FI report by which I can get the stock/material/inventory balances by profit centre and segment. We are in ECC 6.0 with new GL activated.
    If there is no standard report, can this be acheived by using a ABAP query by table join.If yes, please let me know the tables to consider.

    Try the report S_E38_98000088 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance for your inventory accounts. This will give you stock values by profit center. Leave the profit center value blank in the selection criterial. Run MB5L for stock values by inventory account and then double click the account to get the stock values by material.
    FAGL_FLEXT, MBEW and MARC can be joined to get the values.

  • Relationship BCS-Profit Centre and FAGLFLEXT

    I'm in ECC5, using BCS 4.0 and BW 3.5.
    Our current designed required 2 type consolidation, which is company consolidation and profit centre consolidation. Note that the profit centre consolidation also required balance sheet and profit/loss.
    Now, I know that basicly the source of data coming from R/3 is actually the special ledger table FAGLFLEXT. In this table, both company and profit centre shared the same table in order to maintain data consistency.
    My question is:
    1. Is my understanding about FAGLFLEXT correct?
    2. What are the prerequisites steps so that the table FAGLFLEXT can have the profit centre data inside?
    Any advise please....

    FAGLFLEXT is a totals table in which totals records are stored.
    It is used in general ledger accounting as the basis for your parallel ledgers. It offers a number of dimensions such as company, account, cost center and product. SAP delivers the totals table FAGLFLEXT for general ledger accounting in the standard system.
    2. What are the prerequisites steps so that the table FAGLFLEXT can have the profit centre data inside?
    When you activate new general ledger accounting, the totals records in general ledger accounting are updated in the standard totals table FAGLFLEXT. This totals table is deployed in functions such as planning and reporting.
    If the standard totals table delivered does not fulfill your requirements, you can define your own totals table. To do this, in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New), choose Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Ledgers -> Fields -> Customer Fields -> Include Fields in Totals Table. Choose Extras -> Create Table Group. When a totals table is created, the system simultaneously generates the corresponding line items table.

  • Profit Centre Reporting

    Normally plans are entered using KP06 in cost centre planning, Planning  relating to expenses are appearing on both cost centre and profit centre reports, but Income plans are only appearing on cost centres reports, i would assume these should be visible in profit centre reporting as well.  i am  i correct?  if so how can i see the incomes CE on profit centre reporting .

    Hi,
    Income on cost centres is only statistical. Therefore, for income planning you should do it directly on profit centres:

    You can also try 1KE0 transaction, but I cannot say if it will copy income accounts.

    For the first point, you can use KE55 transaction.
    For the second point, there is no assignment of cost element to PCtr as such, but you can see the postings in profit centre/cost element in any standard report, i.e. S_ALR_87013326 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance.

  • Profit centre report drill down total

    Hi
    I am executing S_ALR_87009722 proft centre report from period 0 to 1. The balance of a bank account is  76,729.18.
    When I drill down to actual line items it's showing the break-ups amounting to 3,320.17; which is only the break up for period 1. Shouldn't this show the break-up of the balance as at the report date?
    We need to see the break-up for 76,729.18 (Balance as at end of period 1).
    The Profit centre currency is different to company code currency and the transaction currency.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

    Some things you might to check:
    Actuals/ Plan values?
    Same version?
    Has somebody changed report recently?
    Have you run line item transactions individually and compared?
