P&L indicates your rvenues and expenses where BS shows you your assets and liabilites.
Salaries : P&L Expneses
Sales  : P&L Revenue
Buildings : BS Assets
Creditors : BS Liabilites

    Enter report group SL01.
    Choose  Execute.
    Enter report group SL01 again, and then choose .
    Enter the following data: current year, period 01-12, company code,ledger and plan version

    Hi,
    Plant wise balance sheet can not be taken, provided if you would have assigned one plant to one business area. that too you can see only on business area level or profit centre level.

  • Consolidated Profit and Loss , Balance Sheet

    Our client has been requesting for Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss, which consolidates accounts across multiple SAP companies.
    If I understand correctly, the only way to pull the data is through journal entries, OJDT and JDT1. 
    This seems to be very cumbersome especially just imagine as time passes, the database is growing.  It will be good if SAP could have a table that actually summaries the balance (balance sheet) and net movement (Profit and Loss) of each accounts by year by period.
    Eg:
    Year    Month   Accounts        Formatted Acc   Parent Acc    Type     Balance
    2007    Jan       _SYS000012   1100-00             1100             Asset    1000
    2007    Feb      _SYS000012    1100-00             1100            Asset     200

    thank you for your input.
    We are planning enhancements for Financial Statements including new user templates and new print layouts. The idea of consolidating Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet will be investigated as well.
    Summarizing balances per year and net forward of each G/L Account year by year should be a part of complete Data Archiving solution planned for one of the next releases. Please check threads on this very important topic.

  • Profit center Balance sheet report

    Hi,
    When I run PCA B/S report, S_ALR_87013336 - Profit Center Group: Balance Sheet Accounts Plan/Actual/Variance, it shows the balance sheet accounts + P&L accounts with zero values. It even shows the secondary cost elements with zero values.
    Is there any way we could hide the P&L and secondary cost elements, or populate these with their respective values?

    HI Ram.
        Which version you are using? If you are using 6.0 version and using docment splitting functionality then system posts the transactions in FAGLFLEXT & FAGLFLEXA tables. Then in that case old transaction codes will not work. There is a customization setting, wherein you can write the data to classic ledgers also.

  • Profit center  balance sheet

    Dear Gurus
    My actual vendor open item  is  Rs. 38878  my cheque amount is 38877 so balance   Rs. 1 is automatcally goes to sundry balance written off account ,here  sundry balance written off   a/c is posted without profit center , my Balance sheet  is based on profit center
    Here my problem is Rs. 1 is not tally in my balance sheet account , so how can I solve

    profit center accounting  derivation rules  : costs through  cost centers
                                                                       : revenue accounts - OKB9 ( business area)
                                                                       : balance sheet items - 3KEH  (business area)
    i have maintain both settings while i am posting documents cost & revenues accounts derives pca automatically ,but balance sheet items are not derives automatically .
    is there any additional settings need for balance sheet accounts .
    is there any difference  between  - 3KEH  & FAGL3KEH

    In the IMG Step "Activate Document Splitting", did you tick "Inheritance"
    Also, assign FIN_PCA scenario to the ledgers...
    Check FAGLL03 for the balance sheet account after posting a transaction once you ensure the above config

    Same as in 4.7EE and earlier versions ...
    Create FSV- Financial Statement Version and use TCODE: F.01 to get the reports.
    Also, use the RP/RW for the same.

    Hi,
    We don't assign Balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts to same FS item.
    All P&L a/cs are linked to a retained earnings a/c automatically when we define only one Retained earnings a/c in customizing. And if we define multiple Retained earnings a/cs in customizing, then we have to assign the corresponding Retained earnings a/c for each P&L a/c in GL master.
    And since Retained Earnings a/cs is BS a/c, they are grouped with all other BS accounts.

    Hi Experts,
    I have the following question on preparing PCA Financial Statement (Profit/Loss Account and Balance Sheet), ECC6.0, with document splitting features.
    Let say I started my business with the following GL accounts:
    Bank A, USD6,000
    Bank B, USD4,000
    Capital, USD10,000
    My company does have 2 departments (cost centers), and the above Balance Sheet GLs, cannot be identified / separated in the cost centers level. My cost centers to profit centers is one-to-one, which are cost center A = profit center A, and cost center B = profit center B
    I have  Sales to customer of USD12,000, and Receipts from customer is USD7,000 at Bank B, therefore (customer balance is USD5,000).
    I have also expenses:
    Expense A: USD1,000 (cost center A)
    Expense B: USD800 (cost center B)
    Double entry for expense is Dr Expense, Credit Vendor.
    I paid 50% of each of the expenses using Bank A, which are: expense A, paid: USD500; expense B, paid: USD400
    My Financial statement without profit center should be as follows:
    P/L Account:
    Sales, USD12,000
    Expenses, USD1,800
    Profit: USD10200
    Balance Sheet:
    Bank A: USD5,100
    Bank B: USD11,000
    Customer: USD5,000
    Vendor: USD900
    Profit: USD10,200
    Capital: USD10,000
    Question:
    How can I report the above financial statement into PCA level, which are Profit center A and Profit center B?
    Note: I can't hardly separate Bank account, Sales (revenue) into Profit center level (Assuming I am only using FICO module, No SD/MM Module).
    I can't use FAGL3KEH to differentiate the Bank Account.
    During data entry for revenue, I can't have valid reason the revenue belongs to which profit center.
    Kindly advise on is there any way (with logical reason) to make financial statement into profit center level.

    Basically You/Business need to Identify the need for Profit center wise Balancesheet is required or not? If Balance sheet at Profit center level is required then whether they have to decide whether can seggeregate every account balance to a profit center is possible or not? In other words on a cut over date you should have a Profit center wise Trail balance in place. Once it is in place rest all is possible.
    What I can understand from your question is how to identify Gl balances against profit centers foor balance sheet Items. If it is not possible then you can create a corporate profit center and post all transactions to that profit center.
    When comes to cash / Bank/Customer/vendor balances the system Identifies the item belongs to whihc profit center and in case cross profit cneter transactions are involved the system uses the "ZERO BALANCE CLEARING" account as an intermediate account for posting the data. By this one profit center will be Dr. and other will be in Cr as far as ZERO BALANCE ACCOUNT" is concerned and at company code level this GL balance is always ZERO.

  • Profit center wise Balance Sheet

    Dear Experts,
    I am working in a project right now and the company requirement is to get the Balance sheet profit center Wise.
    We are implementing ECC 6 and have activated Document splitting Functionality.
    We are Considering products as Profit centers.
    My concern is if I assign profit center in Material Master, my flow from PR to MIRO is working fine, as the system is assigning profit center at line items in Accounting from Material master.
    But at the time of Sales delivery the entry in accounting is
    COGS DR.
    To Inventory Cr.
    COGS is a cost element and I cannot post it without assigning cost center
    The issue I am facing is if I fix one cost center over here, it will only pick one profit center assigned to it, but I want to have different Profit centers
    Not only in the above entry, I am facing this problem on all automatic Profit and loss entries
    How can I assign correct profit center to the line item. Please suggest me some solution.

  • Balance Sheet by Profit Center

    Hi Gurus,
    Just a clarification for the profit center balance sheet. Let say for example I purchase an item from vendor A for the profit center A. The profit center is then inherited from the expense line item.
    Debit    Expense      900                    Profit Center A
    Debit    Input tax       100                    Profit Center A
    Credit      Vendor A 1000                   Profit Center A
    Now, before payment they realized that a portion of 100 should be for Profit Center B. I did a repost of line item, thus creating financial entry also to transfer the Profit Center A to Profit Center B. But this is only for the expense account.
    My question is, is there a way to allocate also the portion of 100 for the Vendor and tax line item from Profit Center A to B?
    If this is not met, then how can we actually generate balance sheet by profit center.

    You can get the balance sheet as well by Profit Center.. New GL's document splitting functionality is very much equipped to provide that
    Once you activate it, and specify pr ctr as the doc splitting characteristic, no document will be posted without Profit center populated in the line items.. However, this is possible only for ECC Version of SAP (5.0 or above)
    If you are using Classical PCA, then you have to execute transactions like 1KE* at period end to update Pr Ctr in the balance sheet line items
    Personally, I appreciate the New GL functionality of Profit center and doc splitting over Classical PCA

    3) May I know why balance sheet items require profit center? Normally p&l items with profit center which deriving from cost center.

    Hi dear,
    Earlier SAP was using business area. But it was not able to derive correct balance sheet.
    So to resolve this new gl is implemented. It has a unique feature of Balancing GL. Here when the debit and credit line items has different profit center, it creates a additional line items with apposite effect to profit center. So u r profit center wise balance sheet always tally.
    Basically all expenses are related to cost and hence they are recorded in cost center. If you ask me before coming to sap I use to use profit center to group cost center for internal reporting. But  sap derives profit center balance sheet where expense comes from cost center to profit center and balance sheet accounts are assigned to profit center.

    If i post any profit center documents after i do the balance carry forward for the profit center balance sheet accounts to the new fiscal year, will the system update the opening balance of the new fiscal year automatically or i have to re-run the balance carry forward again to update the opening balances?
