    Okay.
Can you check something for me please?
Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
    Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)?

Your Mac is definitely one of the supported models? http://www.apple.com/uk/osx/specs/
If so, what happens when you try to download? Is it a case of nothing happens? If so, take a look at the suggestions under 'Stalled Download' in this link:
    http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/10/mavericks-issues-and-fixes/#slideid-23477 1
Also, some usrs have found that logging out of the Mac App Store and then back in again and starting over has kick-started the download. It seems that the 5+gb download can take a long time to give any feedback as to what's happening.

If Photoshop crashes the should be a System crash report generated by your OS. For example Windows

  • Program/Applications open on phantom second monitor

I used to have a second display connected to the iMac. After upgrading to Lion, I disconnected it as it does not really work in the full screen display with Lion. However, some of my programs that were on the second display still think its on that second display. Despite the fact that there is no second screen attached or configured in Displays control panel.
It is annoying because a program will be open, however, I cannot find the program (other than seeing the menu bar on the top). When I click in the Dock, under OPtions, and show program or move to this screen, then I see it (or when I go to Expose), but I can never drag it permanently to see it on the main screen.
    Help!
    Jonathan

After many days i found solution:
Run the client and get it set up the way you prefer, or Open your saved RDP file
On the Display tab, choose a non-fullscreen resolution.
On the General tab, click "delete these credentials", if possible.
    Click Connect .
You will immediately get a local login dialog. Leave it blank and click
    OK .
When you are connected and the remote login dialog appears, drag the window to the desired monitor.
On the remote login dialog, click Cancel . The settings dialog should reappear locally.
On the Display tab, you can now choose fullscreen.
You can now save your session with the Save button on the
General tab, as well as save your login credentials.
Try more times ,worked for me.

  • HT4599 Outlook doesnt open after sync Icloud

Help, I just added Outlook Synch to my Icloud and now Outlook "spins in place" and does not open after 30 minutes of trying to open. Does anyone know what may be wrong and how to fix it?

I had the same problem after successfully moving from MobileMe to iCloud yesterday on my PC, ipad and iphone.
Today I couldn't open Outlook 2010. An Outlook dialogue box for my MobileMe email account kept asking for the email password, and although I put the password in, it kept re-appearing.
I turned off Norton spam temporarily, because I noticed Outlook was stuck processing the Norton plug ins at opening, and managed to open Outlook but the programme crashed every time I tried to access my email account settings (I thought I would try to delete the MobileMe email account).
I then opened the Control Panel for iCloud and unchecked the Mail with Outlook box, which has enabled Outlook to work again. The @me.com email account was gone when I checked the email accounts. I never needed to use the @me.com email account anyway.
How frustrating and such a waste of my time.
Does anyone know what difference it makes if the MobileMe/iCloud email is not connected to Outlook? Does it really make any difference when you have your email accounts in the iPad and iPhone anyway?

  • Programs dont open after installing Mountain Lion

    Hi!
After I installed Mountain Lion last week is my iMac(4 cores, late autumn 2009) very slow and several programs dont open anymore.
When I click on them they bounce in the dock and vanish again. I approved in the security tab to open all programs, also not `Mac Store programs`.
The only way to get these programs started again is by unpacking them and than they work for one reboot. After 1 reboot they dont open again.
What can I do with this?
    With kind regards,
    Silvia

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Try the action again. Post any messages that appear in the Console window – the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

  • Is it possible to add a rescue email AFTER creating an account on iTunes?

I've got an issue with this fu... with the App Store - can't download any paid app just because these "security questions", that I have forgotten! I know 'bout the "rescue email", and I want to add it now, after creating the iTunes account.

If you know the answers to your security questions then steps 1 to 5 half-way down the page that you posted from will take you to a screen where you can add one.
If you don't know their answers then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset you can then use those steps to add a rescue email address for potential future use

  • Programs not opening after install

Alright... I am brand new to Linux operating systems (about roughly 2 days now, and making the switch from MS to Arch). after scouring the forums and the wiki I still can't open up the packages that I installed from the AUR,core, community, or extra repo's... I have tried opening up a terminal session and typing in the program name, but that didn't work, I have gone into the /bin folder and still nothing there either... where/how could I open the files that I installed on my system? If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated..Thanks

  • Problem after creating second library

So I finally decided to create a second library where I placed my aac rips for my ipods. Everything seemed fine.
When I restarted iTunes for the first time after that procedure I held down the option key to pull up the "choose library" dialog box. This is where the problems start. It just directed me to the root of my external HD where my library is held. I thought a dialog box or something would come up letting me choose between my newly created "IPOD LIBRARY" and my regular library. No such luck so I just pointed to the main iTunes folder and iTunes started to launch but with an "updating iTunes" box and it started doing its thing(Why? I have no idea). Keep in mind I have 5000 or so albums in my library. In the background I noticed at the bottom of the interface that it is showing WAY less albums, etc. than I know I have. I didn't want to do a force quit or anything while it was updating because I thought I might corrupt everything. What it did was load an old .xml file from 10 months ago so anything I've imported since last April is not loading into my library. I've tried to restart and choose a newer .xml file in hopes of it being the correct one but what it's loading IS the newest file. What the **** happened? I don't want to lose the countless hours I've spent inserting all sorts of custom tags and groups and such.

No one has any insight with this problem?

  • Why are the K-thermocouple values (first DAQmx channel) are wrong after creating second (voltage type) DAQmx channel?

I am trying to Creating an Analog Input Task with Multiple Measurement Types: Voltage and K-thermocouples (the system is PCI6034E – SCXI1000 –SCXI1122-SCXI1322). It does not work properly: as soon as I add second "DAQmx create channel" for voltage I start reading wrong K-thermocouple values  (100-160 deg C instead of 24.3-24.7) and it does not depend on sampling rate, etc. The Labview example "Multiplechannels_Created.vi" gives me same wrong temperatures. Did somebody meet this problem? Thanks.

    Lorne,
Thank you, for detail explanation about temperature shift.
I am sorry for confusion. The program, which was attached in my previous message: DAQ_Task is not working properly with my hardware as I have already described it above. Do you have any ideas where can it be a problem: PCI6034E?, Chasse?, thermocouples?, Computer?
As I mentioned, currently, another approach for  Temperature and Voltage data acquisition (see attached file) is realized, but it will be not suitable for fast data acquisition tasks.
    With best regards,
    Donatas

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled several times trying to install using my activation code, installing without just as a trial and nothing seems to make a difference.  Finally after about an hour of waiting Ive just got a message when opening fireworks saying "Licensing for this product has stopped working"  something about unistalling and reinstalling that I didnt manage to catch.  This is installed as the trial version so there should be no licensing issue... right?
Has anyone else had this happen to them and does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?
    Thanks

Try the CS Cleaner tool before re-installing.

  • After creating new accounts Password not accepted

On my daughter's G3 iMac (10.4.5) I have always had it set up with one user that was auto-logged in. Today I am trying to add 2 more users but the login window is rejecting the passwords. The set up for the users goes fine, but when the users try to log in their password is not accepted and the box shakes (nice touch btw).
My admin login still works fine. I also tried setting up those new accounts with no passwords, but they still get shaken off. Anyone have any ideas?
To make sure this wasn't user error on my part, I successfully set-up similar accounts on my iBook and they worked fine.
    Thanks

sounds like a netinfo database issue to me. if you have applecare you could call to be sure. otherwise, you can rename your netinfo database (which has probably become corrupt) by booting to single user mode (apple+s on startup) and typing the following commands:
    mv /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb.bad
    reboot
once you do that, the setup assistant will launch on reboot and to be sure you don't lose any of your daughter's data, make her user name, shortname and password are the exact same as they are now. after you've logged back in as her user, go ahead and try to re-create the users again. it should work. if not, you may be looking at an archive or possibly erase and install.
good luck! it may be a good idea to back everything up just in case!
