Program download for PalmOne Tungsten E2
I have a PalmOne Tungsten E2, I know it's old, but I have all my address info. on this palm and I just got a new computer and need to put the palm program on my new computer so I can access my data from my handheld PalmOne unit - Can someone guide me or tell me if palm has a download available for my unit and how can I go about getting it and making sure the data on my handheld unit will hotsync with my new computer? Please help!!!

What version of Vista? 32bit or 64bit?
If 64bit, you cannot sync via a USB cable. This subject has been extensively covered many times in the Windows HotSync section of the forum, BTW. I'm going to move your post to there for better focus.

What do you need? Palm Desktop? It's available on the support pages for palm.com.
What OS is on your computer? Is it a brand-new 64bit OS? Palms cannot use a USB cable to sync with these...

Dream Spark Programs downloaded for MBA program - How can I open them?
Hi,
I downloaded Visio and some other programs below for my class through Dream Spark. However, I cannot open the programs. I have a Office 365 Home account on my Windows 8.1 computer under an Outlook email address. When I try to switch the user to my student
account I can't sign in. I have tried for several days. Here is the screen I get and I can't get any further. How can I open these programs?

Look at the screen shot you added. Do you see the Account option on the left? You need to add your student account in that place. Once done you can start switching accounts. My guess would be that there is only one account available to choose from right
now and that is your home account.

Cant get Palm desktop to download for a Tungsten-E
hi guys, I have an OLD Tungsten-E, and I cant get the Palm Desktop to download to my new(er) windows 7....any ideas?

IIRC, the internet connection part was nothing important.. Are you saying Palm Desktop does not appear on your computer if you choose "No."?
Is the HotSync Manager running? Can you see the red and blue icon in the tool tray of the PC?
Might try a "Clean Uninstall"/reinstall of Palm Desktop.
Here are the clean uninstall instructions.
You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something happens. You can find your data files by going to C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and copy. Then go to your PC desktop, right click on a blank spot and select paste. You can skip the first step above because of the data not being current.
Now you want to uninstall Palm Desktop and remove everything that has to do with Palm Desktop from your computer. Like the above folder, delete the Palm folder. Once this is done, you will need to delete some registry keys from your PC Operating System registry.
Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC to not start up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel you are unsure of yourself, see if you have a friend that can help you or a PC technician that you can pay to help you. This will show them everything they need to delete. To retain your current Registry settings, we need to do a backup of the Registry.
On the PC, go to start and run type "regedit" without quotes
Highlight MY COMPUTER, go to File --> export. Should pop up with a Save As box. Current location is fine should be in My Documents or you can change to a location you will remember. In the file name box, type "Regbackup[todaysdate]" i.e. Regbackup07072008. Next, the hard part.
The easiest way to make sure your working with the correct key, highlight the key i.e. palm quick install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you, are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician. BUT do not turn off your computer.
The reg keys are as follows (Note: some of theses reg keys will not be here but if they are delete them)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm, Inc. * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmDesktopAutorun * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
Next reboot your computer
Then reinstall your Palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks you for a username and you synced your device before, put in 'test" if you did not sync before you create a hotsync name.

When i see my brothers phone, nokia 7210 supernova, when downloading some songs, the english letters including folders in the memoy card changes as other foreign languages or machine language, which i do not know. The unwanted downloads could not be deleted. Formatting will be losing all the music and video files he stored hitherto. I usually learnt that nokia java phones are not affected by the virus. But seeting this I want to safeguard my and users of nokia s40 phones. Is there any antivius program in jar format available as on now. Could the java phone be affected by virus. Go to Solution.I, i HAVE ACCESSED THRO DATA AND STORAGE, BUT THEN I RECEIVED A MESSAGES THAT MEMORY CARD IS IN USE BY OTHER APPLICATION. So, I Have changed the theme from the memory card and then i could access it and could scan the virus. Thank you. This I rate as very useful, because, i found so many threads expressing, alternate programs and downloaded spurious programs which is given as jar files and did the extensive damage of slowdown of device and ultimate to device doom. Thank you farby.

I have been unable to download adobe acrobat pro, which I purchased on a month to month basis almost exactly 1 year ago, since I purchased it. I just received a renewal email and it had a link to download the program and for the first time when I clicked on the link it actually sent me to a page that had the icon to download now. I clicked on that, but when I went to open the file and start downloading after about 3 minutes into downloading it says an error had occurred. Can anyone help me?
I am a little worried. If you are an existing subscriber why would Adobe need you to download... I wonder if the message is a fake.
I'm not clear, if you've had it for a year, whether you need to download, or you are just following the email?

Has anybody had the following error while trying to download iTunes 10.5? There is a problem with Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.
Go to "control panel" then "add or remove programs". Highlight "Apple software update" Choose "change" click "Repair" This should do the trick. Then download and install iTunes 10.5 again.
