Program failure in Photoshop

My Photoshop says that there is a program failure. Shall I uninstall the whole package CS6 and then install it again?

PS 7 won't recognize HD above 1TB. Are you OK there?

Over the last few days I've been trying to work on images I've scanned, the images belong to me, and I often get a 'program error cannot save' then file name. All the files are below 50Mb, coming from an Epson V500 scanner.
I'm trying to save as jpegs, same as from scanner, and saving at 12 on the sliding quality bar. I don't remember this happening before, and I've been using PS7 for several years now.
My pc is a 64 bit Windows 7, 2.5GHz dual core intel machine with 8Gb ram. So it's more than powerful enough to handle such small files, I have a few hundred gigabytes of space on my hard drive for PS 7 files.
Does anyone recognise this problem please? and how do I cure it?

System doesn't recognize the software programs on the Photoshop elements disk?

How do I get my Windows XP system to recognize the software programs on the Photoshop Elements disk? This is not a download from the web. I've got the minimum requirements. Turned off all security systems. Created a separate account for Photoshop. And tried other disks to make sure the drive is working. After hours of troubleshooting I'm ready to return the software.

If the drive is correctly installed on to the sled, and the mounting screws are snug, not tight, and the sled is inserted properly so that all the roof-tangs catch as the sled is inserted, failure to show up in Disk Utility means the drive is not useable.
A Bug in 10.8.4 and later precludes Disk Utility ERASE-ing large drives in Internal bays. Use PARTITION only, and create one new partition, GUID partition Map, Mac OS Extended (journaled) Volume.

I just installed Camera Raw 8.7.1. It put the folders in a "Pug-Ins" folder under \Programs\Common Files. My Photoshop CC 2014 is in \Programs\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC2014. When I try to open a NEF file from my Nikon D750, CC 2014 says it cannot open it;

Sounds like it did not install correctly. Uninstall, then reinstall. If that does not help, use the Adobe CC cleaner. It will remove all traces of your Adobe programs. Then do a normal install. If it still is not working, let us know.

Looking for a less expensive program other than Photoshop CS6 and was wondering if Photoshop Elements is the answer. Does Photoshop Elements read PSD files, create layers, can you change the levels and color balance?

Time Machine will back all files except files like caches, trash or temp files, you can select with file you would like to exclude by going into the Time Machine preferences.http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427

Actually there are many older programs which will run with Win98 and not Win7.
Same with Lion. There are some earlier programs which will not run -- and anything designed for the PPC CPU is in that category.

I did not try the free evaluation program of adobe photoshop lightroom 5 on my mac, but since i downloaded it long ago, it will not allow me to try it now

i recently got a macbook pro, migrating to it from windows XP pro. its operating system is OS 10 X; however, the most up to date mac OS is really (on my mac) called OS mavericks.
when i downloaded adobe reader for mac--some months ago--adobe gave me the chance to download adobe photoshop lightroom 5 as a trial evaluation. the download took a lot of time.
i never had the time to try this application yet, and now i need to do that.
the reason i have not yet tried it is because i am still in the learning curve learning how to use my macbook pro.
I REALLY NEED TO WORK ON SOME PHOTOGRAPHS! the free mac apps for photos have proved to be difficult and very time consuming. they do not have capacities to perform tasks like i want, for instance, to compress a photo, or to work on editing some photos as a batch operation. in fact, i cannot even "select" a number of photos that i need to work on. it is driving me crazy!
at this time, i need to try this product. i opened it, but the only thing that i can do is provide the license number, as though i bought the product. I NEVER TRIED THE EVALUATION COPY. not one time at all.
since i never tried it out, what can i do to try it now?
must i uninstall the program from my macbook and then reinstall the trial version? would that work since i work at home, so therefore adobe would recognize my IP address.

Getting a program error while Photoshop CS3 is running.

I am running Photoshop Version 10.0.1 on a Mac Pro desktop running OS X Version 10.5.8. It is usually running as I normally do not quit the application. When I bring the Mac out of screen saver mode I have been getting notifications that it cannot perform a certain request because of a program error. I do not have any file open in Photoshop. How do I get the messages to stop?

Yeah, it's a MacOS bug in the screensaver code. Apple thinks they fixed the bug in MacOS 10.6, and I believe we worked around it in Photoshop CS4. In CS3 and 10.5.x, there's not much you can do.

Not enough Ram memory and cannot save due to a program error in photoshop cs6

Hi, I'm currently a beginner at photoshop cs6, and I've been using it since december last year, mostly to draw stuff and it has worked fine with few to no errors at all.
However, recently when I've been drawing, the same message keeps popping up over and over again "Can't use (tool) due to the computer not having enough ram" followed by either "cannot save due to program error" or, it just simply crashes.
This is obviously a something that worries me A LOT since at first, I thought that it was just a small error, but recently, it's been like this for several day s and I've been forced to re-start the computer (and photoshop) countless times... It really slows down my working progress and is VERY annoying to deal with.
As a beginner though, I don't really know how to fix this. I've been trying to look up some answers on this site, but I've just not found any answer yet...
I'm currently using photoshop cs6 that's up to date and I've got lots of memory left on my computer, so, I'm wondering. What exactly is the cause of this problem, and how can I fix it? Please answer as fast as you can.. I'm getting a bit desperate...
Oh, in case you're wondering, they're all saved as PSD files and every single one of them has about 15+ layers on them.

It would help if you could list a few things:
1. Your operating system
2. How much physical RAM do you actually have in your machine?
3. Under Preferences > Performance, have you allocated "Scratch Disk(s)"?
4. Also under Preferences > Performance > Memory Usage, what is the "Ideal Range" listed there, and what % is "Let Photoshop Use"?

Program error message - Photoshop CS4 for Mac

I started to get the message "Could not complete your request because of a program error" a little while back, but it would go away after restarting photoshop, so I wasn't too worried about it. But now I've encountered this one file that won't let me do anything to it. As soon as I open it it pops up with the error message. No amount of clicking makes it go away, and I have to force quit photoshop. Always the same thing. I read up a little about how to fix it but I haven't found anything that works (I tried the file info>copyright idea and deleting Photoshop's preferences, even getting rid of extra fonts, and clearing the library>cache.) Any ideas? I'm not sure what to do!
More info:
It's a psd file.
There are only 2 layers on the files, one is a vector smart image.
I opened the file and was able to edit it fine on a friend's computer, no error messages whatsoever - so it's not a corrupt file. (But that doesn't solve my computer's dilemma.)

I have this same problem. I use Font Agent Pro and I only have about 50-ish foundry fonts activated. I'm wondering if anyone else has found a fix? The second I open Photoshop I get an error message and I have to force quit, let's not even begin thinking about opening a file.
I'm on OSX 10.6.8, running CS4. This is getting frustrating. I'm considering reinstalling the whole suite, there goes my entire evening.
