Program needed for Airport's?

I had my router and airports around my house hooked up by a 3rd party. It has given me trouble in the past and everytime something goes wrong I have to call this guy to come over and fix it (charges me every time out) He gets on his computer and fixes the problem. The last problem was the airports were flashing red, (Looking for signal) So I am assuming he is using a program off his computer to fix the issue's that we have had. Do I need that CD he is using to I can install the program onto my computer? Or can I just Download it off of apple?
Please advise...Thanks in advance.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

  • I need to go back to an older version of Firefox in because a SaaS program needed for work cannot be opened using Firefox 4

  • What hardware do i need for airport extreme

I have a macbook pro (with intel) and an iMac (with intel); i just ordered an airport extreme base-station. I currently have the old airport which has been working fine but i thought i'd upgrade to something faster. Do i also need to buy an airport extreme card for my computers in order to be able to use the new airport extreme base station? Can i simply download the software that apple is selling for 1.99 to upgrade the capacity my computers already have? I can't find the answer to this anywhere so i'd appreciate some assistance.

You can't upgrade older Macs (including the older Core Duo Intel Macs) though these will still work with the new Airport Extreme just not at n speeds.
The n enabler software for Core 2 Duo Macs does not need to be purchased/downloaded as it comes free with the new Airport Extreme base station.
The Macs which can use the n enabler software are listed on this page.
    http://www.apple.com/wireless/80211/
    Does my Mac support 802.11n?
These Mac computers support 802.11n in the new AirPort Extreme Base Station using the included enabler software:
iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo (except 17-inch, 1.83GHz iMac)
MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo
MacBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo
Mac Pro with AirPort Extreme card option

  • When Apple TV comes out will it replace need for Airport Express?

    Hello,I have a couple questions:
1.) If I want to play iTunes through my stereo will I be able to use Apple TV for this? Or should I buy Airport Express.
2.) Can I use Airport Express or Apple TV for DVD player? Does the signal have to come through iTunes?
Thanks to anyone who knows these answers.
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

1.) If I want to play iTunes through my stereo will I be able to use Apple TV for this? Or should I buy Airport Express.
You should ask in the Apple TV discussion area if the Apple TV has the features that you want (i.e. remote music streaming). From the description it does not appear to have this functionality.
2.) Can I use Airport Express or Apple TV for DVD player?
Since neither the Apple TV nor AirPort Express (AX) have an optical drive they can't be used directly as a DVD player.
Does the signal have to come through iTunes?
    Take a look at Airoil.

  • What other accessories do I need for airport express?

Can I buy airport express and use it as a stand alone system?  On the set up page it said to connect to a DSL network and I don't have one of them.  Will airport express still work?

Can I buy airport express and use it as a stand alone system?
Yes, but its primary design is to operate as a wireless Internet router. However, you can use it to create a wireless network without any access to the Internet.
On the set up page it said to connect to a DSL network and I don't have one of them.  Will airport express still work?
The AirPort will work with any Ethernet-capable Broadband Internet modem provided by most ISPs. It will work with a number of Internet access type services, including: ADSL, DSL, Cable, Satellite, etc.

  • I am trying to upload itunes 10.5, but get a message "There is a problem with this Window Installer Pkg. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.  Contact your support personnel or package vendor".  What is it I need to do?

I am trying to install itunes 10.5, but during the download I get the following message, "There is a problem with this Window Installer Package.  A program required for this install to complete could not be run.  Contact your support personanal or package vendor."  If this is my personal computer and was able to upgrade to the previous version (pre 10.5), why not now?  What is my "package vendor"? And what is it I need to do to fix this?  The message is unclear.  Unfortunately, I deleted my itunes program, thinking that in doing so, 10.5 would finally load.  Now I have no itunes on my computer and unable to sync my iphone.  Help!
    Thanks - Rick

    Hi Rick,
by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.
    Success,
    Peter

  • I have a Mac Pro 4,1 quad core intel Xeon running mac OSX 10.6.8 and I have just moved studios and now need to use the Internet wirelessly but there's no airport facilities on this model can anyone tell me what model of airport card I would need for this

Instead of getting a wireless card for the Mac Pro, you might want to consider getting an 802.11ac wireless bridge device that would enable you to connect more than one device to it by Ethernet cable and to eventually take advantage of the faster 802.11ac wireless standard.

  • Which Airport card do I need for an iMac G4 Flat Screen 15"?

Hi, I have an iMac G4 (flat screen, with silver arm and round base), 15".
I'd be extremely grateful if someone could let me know which Airport card I need for this Mac and also whether or not I also require an adaptor. I have looked this up on the Apple site and also in 'The Flatscreen iMac for Dummies' book (I'm a complete technophobe, I'm afraid!), but am none the wiser.
If possible, model numbers for the Airport card and adaptor that I do need would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Jeremy

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and click on More Info, or if you're running Mac OS 9, choose Apple System Profiler from the Apple menu. Check the speed of the computer's CPU; if it is below 1GHz, you need the regular AirPort card, with the AirPort Extreme card being used on newer iMacs. No iMac G4 requires an adaptor to use an AirPort card.

  • Need Help With Download For Airport Express

Ok, computer dummy here needing help with airport express. We were given airport express last night from a friend who recently purchased a newer gadget. He told us we would need to come here to download the operating system. I see lots of links to updates but no links for someone like me who has never had anything like this on my computer before. Does anyone know what link I would need to use? We have a pc with windows XP. Thanks so much for your help!

Hello jesschambers. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
The AirPort Express Base Station (AX) doesn't have an "operating system" per se, but it does have built-in firmware which pretty much is the same thing. In addition, in order to administer the AX, you will need the AirPort Admin Utility for your Windows PC.
Here are the links for the latest versions of both:
o AirPort Express Firmware Update 6.3 for Windows
    o AirPort 4.2 for Windows

  • Do we need unique program ids for different SAP Channels

    Hi All,
I am using different channels for receiving SalesOrder and Invoice idocs from SAP system. Wanted to confirm if we need unique program ids for each SAP channel or a single program id can be configured in SAP GUI to receive both idocs. I am using SOA 11g.
    Regards
    Subhankar

Unique program id for each type of IDOC is preferred per each channel
    IDOC Type 1->Programid1->Channel1
    IDOC Type 2->Programid2->Channel2
