Program Not Responding with Command Code

The following code works to connect to my database. It basically selects records from December 1, 2007 forward. It takes about 10 minutes for the command show up when I "Add Command".
But when I change the code to select data >= '01-JUL-07', the program is non-responsive for hours/overnight.
Is there something wrong with this command code? Or is there a problem with my database?

I posted a couple weeks ago and got no responses.
I run a command that queries data which works fine for days greater or equal to 12/1/07. Then if I change the date to be before December 1, 2007 Crystal crashes.
Does anyone have any ideas why? Is it possible that it is too much data?
Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
