Program RFKORD50_PDF and SMARTFORMS
Hello
Does the program RFKORD50_PDF only use PDF based forms, or can it be configured to allow the use of SMARTFORMS?
I was looking in the code of the program and I saw the following line:
DATA: save_ftype TYPE rfkord_ftype. "space, 2 smartforms, 3 pdf
Nowhere in the program can I find the value of "2" being used.
Any help would be appreciated.

It reminds me what I have done on RFKORD50 report if I remember well, it was exactly the same issue, and I had enhanced the source (something like a modification of the standard) to be able to process smart forms, and it was pretty easy to do. I also had to enhance a DDic view so that we can enter the form type in the customizing table. Unfortunately, I haven't a more precise answer

the go to the related application Tcode
(for sales order goto VA02 or VA03)
(delivery -VL02N or VL03N)
for Invoice VF02 or VF03
for PO -goto ME9F
enter doc number, Issue Output to -> screen/printer
then see the output
step 1 : copy the z layout into testing client thru SCC1.
step2 : go to se71 and check modified layout.
step3 : if it is under logistics.. go to TCODE "NACE".
u will see various applictions for each business process.
there u have configure ur related layout according to requirments,
for example u consider for Request fo Quatation..
there is APPLICATION called "EA"
click and enter into it. configure it with ur requirments, for help consult with ur functonal consaltant, and save it.
step 4 : goto tcode ME9A for requst for quatation(RFQ).
step 5 : enter test data avalable and check it with message display.
it is same for other applications like Contract agreament --> ME9k
invoice --> vl02n
and goes on..

How do I find a driver program for a smartform in CRM. The tables like TNAPR and NAST are not available in CRM. Does this mean there is no driver program? What do You mean by "send a variable"?

Runtime error in print program of a smartform

While trying to execute the print program of a smartform I am getting the following runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
The call to the function module "/1BCDWB/SF00000288" is incorrect:
In the function module interface, you can specify only
fields of a specific type and length under "IT_BOOKINGS".
Although the currently specified field
"IT_BOOKINGS" is the correct type, its length is incorrect.
In the form interface of the smartform under tables parameters I have declared like this.
IT_BOOKINGS LIKE SBOOK
IT_SCHEDULE LIKE SPFLI
Can anyone tell me why do we get this error?

program to call smartform is really simple :
-> function SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME give you the name of the function link to your sapscript.
-> function WFMC_PREPARE_SMART_FORM help your to prepare your options to your smartform.
-> function xxx to call your smartform (find with the first function).
Sometimes you have to play with values of NAST (for ex) to find the language (set in control_parameters) or for example if you want to print without display (when it ask you for print / print preview and the name of the print device) .....

Requirement :I have to create a print program for the smartform where the output type may be print out,email or fax ,so i need to put the condition for selecting the output type (like printout,email,fax).

It is not the output type that has to be changed
it is the MEDIUM which you have to change and configure
for printout medium is 1
for FAX medium is 2
for MAIL it is 7.
so instead of printout change the medium to 2 or 7 for the same output type and attach to the same driver program and smartform/form.

Printing checks from payment program F110 with smartforms
Hi! I am working in ECC 5.0 and I want to print checks from the payment program with a smartform, I created a non standard smartform but when I try to link the smartform with the program by transaction FBZP the available options are SAPScripts only. Is possible to do it?

Even I am working in ECC 5.0 and I want to print checks from the payment program with a SAP SCRIPT Form, but the issue is that we hav the standard print program for printing the form and this form is being used by some other custom program....I want to customize the standard print program in the transaction F110 so that It successfully calls that form which is now called by some other program. I've the option of customizing the standard print program as per the program which is calling that Form but I'm not able to understand the flow of either of the print programs. Can anybody guide me here on how to understand the flow of the print and go for the customizing of the standard print program for the payment process?
Also, the current print program and Form which is being used by some other custom print program is already customized in the transaction FBZP.

How to get SapScript and Smartform printed in one spool request?
Hello experts,
I want to print the production order package in one spool request.
Print program consists of Smartform and SapScript.
First page is in landscape format with barcode(Smartform) and the rest is in portrait format(Sapscript).
In SAP documentation is written that it is possible for several Smartforms to be printed in one spool request.
Is it possible for 1 Smartform and 1 SapScript called from a single program to be printed in one spool request?
I have tested it with calling first the Smartform control-no_close= 'X' without success.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible and how?

I understood your requirement. What i found is, you are creating screen 500 and call it after START-OF-SELECTION,
at that time your AT USER-COMMAND doesn't work.
So what i would suggest , u should create GUI STATUS named ' PFSTAT'
having one functional key 'EXIT' that is standard u can just name it
and
other two u can assign in Freely assigned Function keys as 'BUT1' & 'BUT2'. and than in Application Toolbar u jst have it in ITEM LIST by typing BUT1 and BUT2.
For 'BUT1' text would be 'ALV' and 'BUT2' text would be 'SMARTFORMS'.
Now in Program you can code,,,
START-OF-SELECTION.
SET PF-STATUS 'PFSTAT'.
WRITE:/ 'TEST'.
at user-command.

But say if SD is implemented then the forms like Sales Order,Delivery and INvoice are must
and similary in MM Pur order is a must

Advantage of scripts over smartforms is ,
labels can be created in scripts but not in forms
and scripts are client dependent where forms are not..
in detail:
SAPscript technology is based on a mainframe product from the 1980s, while Smart Forms have only been around since (roughly) 2001. With that sort of time gap, there are bound to be significant differences between the two tools. As you have noted correctly, client dependence is a fundamental one.
Although SAPscript has had some incremental improvements over time, its forms have always been -- under the hood -- relatively passive objects, with minimal embedded logic. These forms were designed to be driven and controlled by ABAP programs, much in the way ABAP programs read in database tables to produce reports; if you ever download a SAPscript form (e.g., via utility program RSTXSCRP), and look at the portable text file it produces you'll see what I mean. Many text objects (e.g., invoice header texts) are bound directly to documents which are client-dependent, so it makes sense for these text objects to also be client-dependent. From a complexity standpoint, SAPscript forms are close enough to these text objects where I can see how it made sense at the time to make them client-dependent too.
Conversely, a Smart Form is significantly more robust and complex. For instance, it can contain program nodes and nested tables with patterns. When a Smart Form is compiled, it generates an ABAP function module and these are always client-independent.

How to Debug the Driver Pgm and Smartform while Invoice Creation(VF01)
Hello All,
I've configured the Driver Pgm and Smart Form in NACE for the output type RD00. I would like to debug the Driver Pgm and Smartform while creation of invoice using VF01. I've set the break points in the Driver Pgm and Smart form, but its not taking me to there while creating an Invoice using VF01.
Once the Invoice created, If I go thru the VF02/VF03 to see the output, I'm able to debug.
Please help me to debug the Driver Program and Smartform during the Invoice Creation.
I've configured the following objects in NACE:

1. Can anyone tell me the difference between sapscript and smartforms
some practical differences are :

One main difference which is
visibility in the report is TABLES
(in sapscript we cannot design MATRIX like tables,
having grid lines,
but in smartforms, it is much possible to
design tables, having grid lines, color just
like excel table)</b>
a) sapscript requires
- driver program (se38 program)
- layout (se71 layout)
smartforms just require
smartform,
(and a program is just required for
selection screen purpose)
b) the logic of printing (ie. sequence, flow)
is CONTROLLED BY drier program,
in case of sapscript.
where as in smartform, it is inbuilt using TABLES element.
c) In sapscript we cannot write our own logic for printing.
where as in smartform,
we can write our own logic for pritning.
(we can even write SELECT Statements, DATA statements,
and many program lines + logic to suit our requirements)
2 Which we have to use
If we are copying some standard sapscript,
then we have to go for sapscript only.
We can use both. but practically smartforms is easier to
develop.
