Program Scripts in Tools Menu have disappeared

Not sure what happened to all my program scripts, such as Photoshop image resizing and InDesign contact sheets. Where the programs used to be listed under the "Tools" menu there is nothing.
In Preferences > Startup Scripts they are all checked.
When I try "reveal scripts in Finder" through the preferences panel, the folder is empty.
I would try to reinstall, but how do I just reinstall bridge instead of the whole suite?

>The scripts Bridge scripts folder (Library>Application Support>Adobe>Bridge CS3>Startup Scripts) is empty. How do I get them back?
That is normal behavior, most of the scripts are in the script folder under presets in the application folder itself. (edit: and in the root library folder application support as I forgot to mention but it is a little tricky to play around with it I think...)
Have you tried deleting the Bridge plist file and have you tried to create a new user just to check of this solves the problem.
Can you be more specific about your computer specs and application version numbers?

  • Help. Scripts in Tools menu in Bridge have vanished

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum to place this message, but I need some help, so here goes:
I have CS2 installed on a G5 dual 2 Ghz, with 1 GB RAM. When in Bridge, under the Tools menu where there should be 3 submenus for Photoshop, Illustrator and InDeisgn, there is nothing. I get the Batch Rename, Cache and Metadata submenus, but nothing else.
So, I completely uninstalled CS2, including running the Version Cue uninstaller, did searches for literally anything Adobe or Bridge related on the whole system, deleted these, restarted and proceeded to reinstall CS2. But the problem remains- no script menus under Tools. What the heck?!
Yet, on another Mac running the same version of CS2, including the updates that were available for it, the Tools menu shows these script submenus. I don't understand why it won't show up on this one Mac. And I've searched just about everywhere on both systems to see if there is some folder in application support or elsewhere that's missing on the Mac that doesn't display them, but I can see no difference.
Has anyone run into this before, or have any ideas what I might try? We need to be able to use the InDesign Contact Sheet script from Bridge on this Mac, so it's causing some problems that it's not showing up.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

    No solution et?
    Good Luck.

  • My task bar and start menu have disappeared how do I recovery them?

The task bar has disappeared on my HP Touchsmart 610-1280qd.  I have searched at all of the edges like suggested but mothing showed up.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Alburko,
A good place to start to learn about how Windows 8.1 works is the Learning How to Use Windows 8 Features and Apps HP Support document.
In Windows 8.1, there is no taskbar on the Start screen, but there is on the desktop. Click the Desktop tile on the Start screen, and it will take you to the desktop, which will look a lot like previous Windows operating systems. The desktop has a taskbar and a Start button, which is in the lower-left corner, but the Start button works differently. When you left-click, it takes you to the Start screen or the last app used. When you right-click, you get a list of commonly used options.
A good way to search for anything, either on the desktop or the Start screen, is to press the Windows + Q keys, type the thing you are searching for into the search field, and select it from the list of results.
The Start button is back in Windows 8.1, but keep in mind that the entire Start screen is a lot like the old Start button in Windows 7. Click the tiles to get the programs and apps that you want to use. To get the Start button on the Start screen, hover over the lower-left corner until it appears, or right-click in the lower-left corner to get a menu of options such as Control Panel or Task Manager.
The easiest option: Simply type the name of what ever you need on the Start screen. This will open the Search charm, with a list of search results. Click whatever you are searching for.

  • My frequently visited sites which used to be on a tool bar have disappeared when Firefox upgraded itself in the last few days. How to get them back?

There used to be a bar with my frequently visited sites just below the search bar. It disappeared with the upgrade. How do I get it back? I don't understand the terminology in the help video

Was it the Bookmarks Toolbar? You can display the Bookmarks Toolbar below the main toolbar in a number of ways.
    * right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Bookmarks Toolbar
    * right-click the "+" button on the tab bar > Bookmarks Toolbar
    * tap the Alt key to open the classic menu bar (File, Edit, View), the click View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
    Any luck?

  • What Happened to Bridge CS6 Tool Menu?

For some reason some of my Bridge CS6 Tool menu has disappeared. See the bottom of the menu it's missing the option to go into Photoshop Bactch Image processor etc
This is what it should look like:
How do I get back the missing options?
    Thanks,

This morning I booted from another internal drive and repaired permissions and the disk using the Apple Disk Utility and Disk Warrior. That didn't fix anything in fact I now have even less options under the Tool Menu.

  • Menus have disappeared

We just bought Apple TV, had it attaced to TV for 2 days - was going fantastic, have watched 3 movies but now the menus at the top under the Movie Menu have disappeared.  There is only Rented - NO Categories, Genres, Search etc - ALL GONE!  Have restarted etc etc  NO JOY, any help appreciated.

There are reports of TV Shows and/or Movies missing from users screens, initially it looked like this might be an issue in the UK only, but it may well be more widespread. It appears to be an issue that can't be fixed by the user, you will need to wait until this is resolved by Apple.
If you have other icons missing you may have an entirely different issue.

  • I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps

I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps at all. And 2, Lr everytime I load it up it gives me the option to retry or switch to and it takes a while for me to even get anywhere with it I think it has something to do with the catalogs? I've been using these programs for a few years now on a Mac...no problem but when I use a PC when I'm away coz it's the (only) comp available these happen PC's are so useless! Please can anyone help??...

I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
    First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

  • In Windows 7 I mistakenly un-installed Adobe Application Manager and all applications (CS3E, CS5 and Elements 6) have disappeared from programs on the start menu

WIN7: Mistakenly un-installed Adobe Application Manager and now all Adobe apps (CS3, CS5 and Elements 6) have disappeared from the programs list in the start up menu.
CS5 Bridge is still there so I can get into the photo editor to de-activate it and re-install.
However, all of CS3 has disappeared so I cannot get into it to de-activate.
Question 1: Will downloading and re-installing Adobe Application manager get CS3 automatically back?
Question 2: If not, what to do to get CS3 back things working properly again? Remember, I can't de-activate it.
Thanks and have a happy day!

Don't worry about activation unless you are installing on a new and different machine. Simply reinstall in order. It should all work.
Then install any updates. Product updates
After that, let me know how it went and if there are any further questions.

  • When I open Add-ons, from the Tools menu, I get an unresponsive script error: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623.

When I try to click on Add-ons, from the Tools menu, I get this error message of an unresponsive script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623. This is to say the least about the unresponsive script errors at other times. However, at all times, it won't go away - even by clicking on the 'stop script' option; even with checking the 'don't ask again' option. I've cleared the cookies and history as best I could, but it appears that there is some sort of conflict. How can I resolve this? Kevin: [email protected] Thank you.

This is typically caused by a problem with the Personas Plus 1.6 add-on and it conflicting with the Google toolbar.
Try disabling the Personas Plus add-on. To do this open the add-ons manager by selecting the Tools menu, then Add-ons. In the list of installed extensions click on Personas Plus, then click on either disable or uninstall.
If you can not access the add-ons manager, follow the instructions in the [[safe mode]] article to start Firefox in safe mode. You should then be able to disable or uninstall Personas Plus. You can find more information on this procedure in the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.

The display resolution allows a user to set according to pixels I think, eg 3200 x 1800. So which setting is considered normal? It does not have a "normal field.
    You are right.
Before HiDpi displays became available three years ago, you could find advice about what was the good resolution for displays, depending on their size in in/cm and viewing distance.
    - For relatively big displays (22" to 30") a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080 was considered optimal.
    - For big laptops or small desktop, 1680 x 1050 or 1640 x 900 were good.
In Windows, you could set the size of fonts to full resolution or 25% or 50% bigger... if the software supports this feature, which was not the case with Photoshop, Elements... The size of the fonts was deternined and fixed in the software itself, with no way to scale the fonts. The solution needed Microsoft to provide developpers with new programming interfaces and the solution for developpers was to rewrite a substantial part of the code.
Anyway, to enable good viewing of characters on common 12 or 13" HiDpi displays, you need to use the fonts at 200%.
And that makes sense. To see the same characters on a 12" display the same as on a 24", they must be twice the size... good rule of thumbs.

  • My Bridge Tools menu does not have Photoshop submenu

    Hi,
In Bridge CS3, I just noticed that the Tools menu does not have a Photoshop submenu and therefore I cannot apply Batch commands - among other things.
I have the latest version (2.1.1.9) in MAC OS X Leopard. What is going on?
I have a friend that has the same program in Windows Vista and has the Photoshop submenu...
    Please help!
    Juan Dent

Check your preference folder start up scripts. Inhere the startup script should have a checkmark on it. if not put in on and after restart the script should be there.
Otherwise try a refresh preferences holding down the option key when restarting bridge.
