Programmare controller tramite seriale

Devo far muovere due stepper motor in una camera riverberante per mezzo di un controller 6200 2 axis indexer della Compumotor.
Scaricando dal sito della Compumotor i drives del controller, è possibile poi programmare il controller con MAX?

  • HP 10-F001UA - SM BUS CONTROLLER & UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) CONTROLLER - WINDOWS 7

I instaling my device with windows 7, but i missing SM BUS CONTROLLER , UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) CONTROLLER & unknow driver, could you give me the link for that driver?

    Hi:
I cannot find that model number anywhere.
Does it have an Intel or AMD processor?
If it has an Intel processor is it a 3rd or 4th generation core processor.
Also, please do the following and I will post the link to the driver for the unknown device once I figure out what it is...
Go to the device manager, find the Other Devices category, and click on the Unknown Device needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Unknown Device window.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

  • Has anyone used the Parker Bayside BDS I-Drive servo controller via serial

I need to send 3 pairs of speed and position setpoints from Labview over a serial connection to a Parker Bayside BDS I-Drive servo controller. They actually use the USS protocol from the Siemens drives. Has anyone already done this? And maybe could provide some pointers to a novice?
PS this a repost of a question I left in the Machine Vision forum by mistake.

    Hi DRP,
I regularly look at both the Vision and Motion boards, so I showed your post to a buddy of mine who does a lot of serial communication.   From a programming standpoint, this application looks like its just LabVIEW code to control serial outputs, which (depending on your expertise) might make the project significantly easier.  Either way, Craig should be able to help you out on your original thread.
    Good luck with your program,
    Robert

  • 8500 Controller - No Serial Access

I am prestaging a 8500 series wireless controller and am having problems getting connected to it. I apply power and connect my serial connector to the serial port at the back - i see nothing on my putty session. I have connected VGA so can see the box boots, it gets to
    "Decompressing Linux......done.
    Booting the kernel."
No messages appear after this. From the install guide i can see that using the serial connection is the proper approach, but i have absolutely nada appearing on screen. I've checked serial cable with another box, seems ok - only difference is the gender changer i am using on the 8500, but this is brand new.
Am i doing something completely stupid??

I don't believe it will work converting that way.  You will require the following:
    http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/Tripp-Lite-DB9F-RJ45-Modular-Serial-Adapter-Ethernet-to-Console-Server/1787786.aspx?cm_mmc=ShoppingFeeds-_-GoogleBase-_-Cables/Network%20Cables-_-1787786_Tripp%20Lite%20DB9F%20-%20RJ45%20Modular%20Serial%20Adapter%20Ethernet%20to%20Console%20Server_TRI-B090-A9F
Then you should have no issues getting into the console normally.

  • Connect a PIC/MCU micro controller to serial port of phone

    Hello,
I am relatively new to j2me programming and i would lke to ask if it's possible to connect a MCU to the serial port of the phone and receive streamng data while the MIDlet is on?
If so how can this be done> Does it work the same way a serial connection? I connect the MCU to the USB pins then to the mobile phone.
Does anyone who have worked with this care to share their valuable experience? Thanks in advance.

Hi, i checked with the helpdesk from motorola and they replied that i require a license to access the proprietary interface (please refer to the reply below). I'm thinking ofusing Sony Ericsson k610i since it's JP-7. However, I wonder if they have similar issues with it.
It seems that since we are to interfacing with a PC, the allocation of a virtual port might be a problem, that'smy main concern.
    FAQ found in motorola website:
We'd like to connect a RS232 device to a RAZR V3 phone. From a Java API perspective this is possible via the CommAPI.
We have succesfully tested to connect the RAZR V3 Mini-USB with a PC via a USB-cable - and we were able to transmit data from the RAZR V3 to the PC (Hyper Terminal) and vice versa.
Which technology is needed in the RS232 device (no PC - just a stand alone RS232 device) to communicate to the RAZR V3 via the Mini-USB?
    Answer
We do not normally support the use of non-PC RS232 connections to current Motorola handsets. The only serial connection supported is serial-over-USB, where the handset is connected to a USB port on a PC, and the PC operating system assigns a virtual COM port to the USB connection for this purpose. Microsoft Windows is normally needed to meet this requirement.
Although RS232 functionality exists within the handsets, it is a Motorola proprietary interface only available to firms who licence the technology from us. Motorola currently licenses the CE Bus technology to selected 3rd party companies interested in building accessories for our PCS devices. Please contact Gene Eggleston ([email protected]) or telephone 847-523-4976 (USA) for information on the license and business arrangement. As a licensee you will receive a specification that details the access and use of Motorola's CE Bus.

  • Can we connect xbee to cfp2020 controllers serial port for wireless communication

    hi,
i wanna do data aqcuisition using ethernet as well as wireless technologies, for that i wanna use xbee with cpf 2020.   is it possible?
    thanks in advance

    You can do it fine..
I am guessing the wireless modem is really a router as well. When you say wireless do you mean 3g internet or 4g internet or do you mean cable or adsl and a wireless modem router.?? It is just helpful to know what you are talking about by wireless modem or wireless internet.
You have that plugged into ethernet over power (EOP) adapters .. that is great.
Plugged into TV again that is fine.. although I am unclear what or how it is decoding.. is it IPTV??
    Now to your specific questions.
    Now, is it possible to
    a) connect the Time Capsule to the powerline, so it can act as an access point? When connected to this powerline (ethernet) I hope I won't loose speed to the wireless connection
Yes, the TC needs to be bridged..
Go to manual setup of the Airport utility.. click on the internet tab.. go to connection sharing on the bottom of that page.. select off bridge mode.. update the TC.
Now you can plug the TC into the EOP adapter. And it will work as Wireless Access Point.. WAP or short AP.. and switch.
Plug the TV into the TC as well.. that should all work fine.
    b) will I be able to connect my digital tv-decoder to the TC without any problems? So the TC is the decoder's "ethernet port"?
Hope this is a bit clear, as English is not my mothertongue...
IPTV can be complicated to setup and exactly how it works will depend on the main router.. sometimes IPTV is only delivered to a specific ethernet port.. in which case the above suggestion will not work.. you can use either internet or the TV.. not both..

  • HP Pavilion G6 2230SA Windows 7 64 bit \usb \controller driver

Hi - I'm attempting to install Windows 7 (64Bit) on a HP Pavilion G6 2230SA Notebook which was originally delivered with Windows 8. I appreciate that this is not supported by HP but am simply hoping that someone could help me install the correct drivers which I'm missing? These are:
    PCI Device
    SM Bus Controller
    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
Any help that anyone can offer would be hugely appreciated!

    Hi:
    You need these drivers...
    SMBus Controller:
Download, unzip and manually install the smbus controller driver I attached under Attachments below.
Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing drivers.  Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.  Then reboot.
USB3:   Install both of these and reboot.

  • Newport controller ESP300: Time out error

    Hello,
I am using ESP 300 controller to control UTM25PP.1 stepper motors, both are provided by Newport. I am using two motors to move/scan the sample in YZ direction (please see the attachement), the area of scan is something like 500 X 500. If you look at the figure first Y motor moves in some equal step starting from Y_Initial to Y_Final and at each step I am acquiring a photo diode image, then Z motor moves a unit of 1 and Y motor moves to Y_Initial and this keep on repeating untill
Z_Final is reached. I have not added the code as I believe that issue is with controller (Newport was not able to help me out).
Whenever I am trying to run the code, it runs smoothly for a while and then controller reports the error that
"Communication Timeout occured" and labview also reports an error that "Input/Outpout operation aborted". When I click "OK", it runs fine for a while and then errors.
What I am doing wrong? Can I increase communication timeout on Newport controller (I beleieve that I read somewhere that it's 13 sec)? IS there anyway that automatic error handler can click "OK" so that the whole operation can run smoothly?
Thanks for looking at this message n trying to help me out.
If you believe that I should paste my code, then please let me know.
GPIB read/write is being used to communicate with ESP300 controller and Serial read/write is used to communicate with photo diode controller.
    Thanks,

    Hi Dushyant:
It is hard to say if there is something "wrong" in your code, and I would say that if it is running properly most of the time, the code should be good. Based upon your last post, it sounds like the error may be initiated by the device and not from the program since the device reports an error, then LabVIEW tells you that I/O was terminated. Also, it is hard for me to tell exactly what is going on without having the device and because I do not have several of the subVIs in your program.
However, here are a couple of suggestions: you may want to put your error handlers outside of the while loop. Sometimes having the error handler inside the loop causes an infinte loop of pop up error messages. If it works for your application, you may want to put the error handler outside of the while loop and program the loop to stop if an error occurs. Also, in your first post you asked if there was some way to automatically hit the ok button. There is no direct way to do this, however if all you wanted to do is ignore the error, you could use the General Error Handler (found right beside the Simple Error Handler on the Time & Dialog Palette) and set it to ignore a certain error code.
Again, my first thought is that the device is causing the error and not the program, but I hope something here can help you out.

  • How do I configure my PCI-GPIB cards so that one is a controller and the other is a device being controlled by the first card

I have 2 PC's, both fitted with PCI-GPIB cards. One will be the system controller and the other will be a device on the GPIB bus. How do I configure both cards using LabWindows/CVI v7.0 to achieve this ? What commands are used to send and receive the data ?

    Hi Pete,
For the controller board you don't really need to do anything. By default the GPIB interface is configured as controller.
The non-controller can be configured in MAX. Right-click on the interface, uncheck the ono-controller box and change the primary address. It is usually a good idea to set these parameters programatically. Use ibpad to set the primary address and ibrsc to release system control.
For the controller you can use a device descriptor (using ibdev) or a board descriptor (ibfind).
You can only open a reference to the non-controller board using ibfind (ibfind("gpib0"), for example). This will open a board reference. You cannot use a device reference because that implies that the board is capable of addressing the bus. On
    ly the system controller can.
Here are some links I found on the web on this subject:
Passing GPIB Control -- System Controller vs. Controller In Charge
Tutorial: Programmatic File Transfers over the GPIB
Example: Using a C Program as a GPIB Non-Controller with LabVIEW as the GPIB Controller

May be you are getting confused betwween controller and serial interfaces :
1st case:If configured as a unframed serail interface numbering is same as for controller only need to add group number.

  • Driver needed for Network controller,PCI Device,SM Bus controller

Need helpt to get the drivers for win 7 64 bit for Network controller, PCI Device,SM Bus controller, Universal Serial Bus controller, PCI Encryption/Decryption controller

Hi: For the smbus and usb 3 controllers, download and install the amd chipset drivers and reboot. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%207%20-%2064 PCI device: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-141812-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=7174407&sw_lang= PCI Encryption/Decryption controller: Download and run this driver.  Then you have to manually install it. http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=vc_133833_1 To manually install the driver, go to the device manager, click on the PCI E/D Controller needing the driver. Click on the driver tab.  Click on update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file. That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66974. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.   Then reboot. Network controller...need the hardware ID for that because I don't know what model wireless card your model has. Since there is no wireless driver installed, there should be a device labeled Network Controller in the device manager under an Other Devices category.  The network controller device will have a little ! mark next to it. So, find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab. Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description. Drop down on that list and select the third item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

  • Downgraded Win8.1 to Win7 and now need help to find drivers

So I didn't like Windows 8.1 and downgraded to Windows 7 64-bit SP1, formatting all the drives in the process. Now I don't have some drivers and I'm not sure which ones to download since there are like 2 indentical types of drivers for everything on the page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-g000-notebook-pc-series/6545564/model/7234521
In Device Manager there are 6 things with yellow !s
    Ethernet controller
    Network controller
    PCI Device
    PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller
    SM Bus controller
    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
I'm not sure if I'm meant to provide the Device ID or Hardware IDs so please tell me to provide whichever ones.
And also some additional things that I think are related to drivers
Function buttons dont work so I can't change brightness while holding fn + f2/f3. Is that the HP System Event Utility Driver?
"The current video card may supoprt Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM)". Do I just the Graphics drivers on the page I put above? And which one? Or doesn't matter?
Also under System Information > Components > Display, is it meant to be generic llike 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" Is that what its meant to be or will they have the specific network adapters after I install some drivers?
Under Components > Modem, there is nothing there
Under Components > Ports > Serial, there is nothing there
Under Components > USB, it says 'Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller' rather than something more speciifc.
I'm comparing these to my other laptop which has pretty specific things written under those sections so I'm assuming they're to do with the drivers right? I just threw these here in case theres more underlying issues.
Also how would I go about installing these drivers since the USB ports dont work? Putting the drivers on a CD?
I would really appreciate any help provided because without these, my laptop is basically unusable. Thank you so much.

    Hi:
Yes, you can burn the files to a CD and use those to install the drivers you need.
You need to install the AMD Chipset and USB 3 drivers which are not on your notebook's support page.
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=cp_117181_1
Download and install both of these drivers for the usb...

    Reboot after each installation.
PCI E/D Controller:  Not on your notebook's support page.
Run this file and then manually install the driver.
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=vc_133833_1
To manually install the driver, go to the device manager and click on the PCI E/D Controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab, click on update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66974.   Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.  Then reboot.
    Ethernet Controller:
Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver
    File name: sp69625.exe
    PCI Device:
    Realtek Card Reader Driver
    File name: sp69619.exe
I don't know what model wireless card your model uses, so if you still need the wireless card driver (Network Controller), please do the following steps so I can figure that out and then I will post the link to the wireless card driver you need...
To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the device labeled Network Controller.
