Programs aren't registering

I just got CC on my workstation computer, and whenever I run a program it will open but close shortly after. I am not having this issue with Lightroom or Acrobat. One thing I noticed, however, is that Lightroom asked me to register the product/serial number whereas the other programs have not. When I log into my Adobe account and look at my products and services page, it shows that Lightroom is registered and its serial #, as well as my CC membership.
I would really like to know what is going wrong, because I need to work.
P.S. I have tried opening the programs on a different user account. I have uninstalled everything adobe, used the CC cleaner tool, then reinstalled. I have renamed the opm.db and the 1.0 folder in the AppData\Local\Adobe directories. I have logged out of the Creative Cloud program and logged back in. Nothing has worked.
I apologize if this has been posted in an incorrect area.
If it matters, my computer is a Windows 8.1 64-bit machine.

Alright, I think I've fixed the issue because now Premiere is working perfectly. Essentially what I did was go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and renamed the "SLCache" folder to SLCache.old. I then right clicked on Premiere and ran it as an administrator, and now it works perfectly.

  • Registered Server Program not being registered?

    Hi,
first of all, I'm an ABAPer, not a Basis guy, so i apologize if i'm not giving all the info required to solve this issue.
We have a program that's scheduled to run every morning at 4am. This program calls an RFC to XI and sends data to an external SQL database.
it seems that EVERY Sunday, after full backups, the initial run of this program fails. If it fails, the job is run up to 3 more times. Almost 100% of the time, one of the successive runs works.
And when I say a successive run works, I mean a duplicate job that's been kicked off, literally less than 1 minute later, will run fine.
Also, the job will sporadically fail during the week on its first run, yet successive runs will work.
it seems to me that there is a problem registering the program that my ABAP program calls.
any ideas on what I ask my basis/XI team to check for?
    points will be awarded.
    thanks,
    rp.

  • Program ID not registered

    Hi,
I am trying to test RFC connection but it is saying  " program ID not registered"  at gateway.
I  registered in saprfc.ini file at gateway but still its not working.
Please let me know if you have any idea where should I register it.
    Best Regards,
    Tushar

I am not dure what is the setup you have in your env .
    To register a progid
1.you have to have two separate applications
say one is sap and second is xxx
2.You have to register xxx applications prog id in sap.
3.you have to have both applications up and running.
4.It shall be a TCP/IP connection and register program id option in SAP system , define the gateway host and gateway service using sm59 .
5.The application xxx shall have information about sap system.
    and then it works properly.
    Hope it helps.

  • "Program is not registered in xi " problem

    hello all,
we get the error "Program is not registered in xi" when
executing the "connection test" via transaction 'sm59' for the relevant RFC connection between our XI and ECC systems.
the same test went fine earlier and just went wrong.

This is the main issue. The TCP Gateway Host and service in the Sender RFC adapter will be that of your R3 system. Also make sure that the detdails in the sender RFC adapter are correct,
Also try to deslect the option verify sender System , like I have mentioned above.
And, in my sender RFC adapter, have not selected the option Unicode and SNC

  • Program B1IRFCxx not registered

Following the steps in the Guide to generate R/3 Configuration to run SAP B1i... we have defined the RFC destination. But when pushing Test connection button we get the error 'program B1IRFC00 not registered'. This error is from the Gateway Error Codes groups, where it gets return code 679 - TP not registered.
The program ID B1IRFC00 is the same as in B1i landscape initialization. On the other hand the Test connection from B1i Landscape initialization of R3 system works fine. Restart of Tomcat does not help.
Has anyone idea how to overcome this issue?
    Thanks
    Lubos

    Lubos,
OK ... but this link is different from the documentation that comes with B1i.  My thought was possibly you would find something based on this document.
Also ... in your email ... you have three different environments.  I understand the frustration you are having, but can we pick one and try to troubleshoot that one.  Maybe #2 from your email?
If we look at number 2 ... here are the areas that you need to verify ...
    1. Verify that the Apache Tomcat Server service is running and is using the Local account for login or an administrator login for the system.
    2. Verify that the DI API and specifically the JCO (Java Connector) is installed.
    Path = ...\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One DI API\JCO\LIB
    3. Verify in the SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server 2005 Network Connections > Protocols for MSSQL Server, that TCP/IP is enabled and then also verify that the same is true for SQL Native Client Config > Client Protocols that TCP/IP is enabled.
    4.  The B1i start page you are connecting to is ...
    http://<server>:<port>/B1iXcellerator
    5. The login for B1i 2007A would be ...
login = sa (SQL Server login)
password = the MS SQL Server "sa" password NOT B1iadmin as in older version of B1i (unless that is the MS SQL Server password).
See the B1i Troubleshooting Guide that I have sent you via email...
    Let me know,
    Eddy

  • Changes made in iWeb aren't registering!

I've been using iWeb since the week it was released, but i'm experiencing a new problem while using my Core Duo iMac: any changes made on any page aren't registering. that is, i can change content on a page and the 'publish' icon stays unusable, and i can't undo what i just did because the computer thinks nothing has changed. this just started a few days ago.
anyone come across this problem? any hints on fixing it?
no other iLife apps are suffering from the same malady, just iWeb.

sure, i am able to manually do it, but that ends up republishing every page. this didn't have any effect on the problem, although i've been able to update the site when i need to. but under what circumstances would this happen? i'm a big fan of command-z to undo my mistakes, and that option is off the table now. what gives?

  • A good program to clean register of my mac?

I need some advice with a program that cleans my memory register.
    Thank you very much

    How to maintain a Mac
Make two or more backups of all your files
One backup is not enough to be safe. A copy of a backup doesn't count as another backup; all backups must be made directly from the original data.
Keep at least one backup off site at all times in case of disaster. Backing up to a cloud-data service is one way to accomplish this, but don't rely exclusively on such backups.
In fact, don’t rely exclusively on any single backup method, such as Time Machine.
If you get an indication that a backup has failed, don't ignore it.
Keep your software up to date
In the App Store or Software Update preference pane (depending on the OS version), you can configure automatic notifications of updates to OS X and other Mac App Store products. Some third-party applications from other sources have a similar feature, if you don’t mind letting them phone home. Otherwise you have to check yourself on a regular basis.
Keeping up to date is especially important for complex software that modifies the operating system, such as device drivers. Don't install such modifications unless they're absolutely necessary. Remove them when they are no longer needed. Before installing any Apple update, you must check that all system modifications that you use are compatible. Incompatibility with third-party software is by far the most common cause of difficulties with system updates.
    Don't install crapware
...such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” "boosters," “extenders,” “cleaners,” "doctors," "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, such stuff is useless or worse than useless. Above all, avoid any software that purports to change the look and feel of the user interface.
It's not much of an exaggeration to say that the whole "utility" software industry for the Mac is a fraud on consumers. The most extreme examples are the "CleanMyMac," "TuneUpMyMac," and “MacKeeper” scams, but there are many others.
As a rule, you should avoid software that changes the way other software works. Plugins for Photoshop and similar programs are an obvious exception to this rule. Safari extensions, and perhaps the equivalent for other web browsers, are a partial exception. Most are safe, and they're easy to get rid of if they don't work. Some may cause the browser to crash or otherwise malfunction. Some are malicious. Use with caution, and install only well-known extensions from relatively trustworthy sources, such as the Safari Extensions Gallery.
Only install software that is useful to you, not (as you imagine) to the computer. For example, a word processor is useful for writing. A video editor is useful for making movies. A game is useful for fun. But a "cache cleaner" isn't useful for anything. You didn't buy a computer so you could clean caches.
Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it. Otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve. Do not rely on "utilities" such as "AppCleaner" and the like that purport to remove software.
Don't install bad, conflicting, or unnecessary fonts
Whenever you install new fonts, use the validation feature of the built-in Font Book application to make sure the fonts aren't defective and don't conflict with each other or with others that you already have. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions.
Deactivate or remove fonts that you don't really need to speed up application launching.
    Avoid malware
"Malware" is malicious software that circulates on the Internet. This kind of attack on OS X was once so rare that it was hardly a concern, but it's now increasingly common and dangerous.
There is some built-in protection against malware, but you can’t rely on it—the attackers are always at least one day ahead of the defense. You can’t rely on third-party "anti-virus" products for protection either. What you can rely on is common-sense awareness—not paranoia, which only makes you more vulnerable.
Never install software from an untrustworthy or unknown source. If in doubt, do some research. Any website that prompts you to install a “codec” or “plugin” that comes from the same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy. Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must come directly from the developer's website. No intermediary is acceptable, and don’t trust links unless you know how to parse them. Any file that is automatically downloaded from the web, without your having requested it, should go straight into the Trash. A web page that tells you that your computer has a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with it, is a scam.
In OS X 10.7.5 or later, downloaded applications and Installer packages that have not been digitally signed by a developer registered with Apple are blocked from loading by default. The block can be overridden, but think carefully before you do so.
Because of recurring security issues in Java, it’s best to disable it in your web browsers, if it’s installed. Few websites have Java content nowadays, so you won’t be missing much. This action is mandatory if you’re running any version of OS X older than 10.6.8 with the latest Java update. Note: Java has nothing to do with JavaScript, despite the similar names. Don't install Java unless you're sure you need it. Most people don't.
Don't fill up your disk or SSD
A common mistake is adding more and more large files to your home folder until you start to get warnings that you're out of space, which may be followed in short order by a startup failure. This is more prone to happen on the newer Macs that come with an internal SSD instead of the traditional hard drive. The drive can be very nearly full before you become aware of the problem.
While it's not true that you should or must keep any particular percentage of space free, you should monitor your storage use and make sure you're not in immediate danger of using it up. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the startup volume for normal operation.
If storage space is running low, use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the most space. Move seldom-used large files to secondary storage.
    Relax, don’t do it
Besides the above, no routine maintenance is necessary or beneficial for the vast majority of users; specifically not “cleaning caches,” “zapping the PRAM,” "resetting the SMC," “rebuilding the directory,” "defragmenting the drive," “running periodic scripts,” “dumping logs,” "deleting temp files," “scanning for viruses,” "purging memory," "checking for bad blocks," "testing the hardware," or “repairing permissions.” Such measures are either completely pointless or are useful only for solving problems, not for prevention.
To use a Mac effectively, you have to free yourself from the Windows mindset that every computer needs regular downtime for maintenance such as "defragging" and "registry cleaning." Those concepts do not apply to the Mac platform.
A well-designed computing device is not something you should have to think about much. It should be an almost transparent medium through which you communicate, work, and play. If you want a machine that needs a lot of attention just to keep going, use a PC, or collect antique cars.
The very height of futility is running an expensive third-party application called “Disk Warrior” when nothing is wrong, or even when something is wrong and you have backups, which you must have. Disk Warrior is a data-salvage tool, not a maintenance tool, and you will never need it if your backups are adequate. Don’t waste money on it or anything like it.

  • Help!  Rosetta programs aren't working

The programs that require rosetta to run are not working at all. The only thing I've done recently is run monolingual, but I didn't think it would have erased anything crucial.
MS Office, fugu, WM player, and a printer driver are the Power PC programs that aren't running. Any suggestions?

    OK,
    Lets try this now ...
Locate the program you're interested in running.
Lets say for example that you want to execute the TextEdit application by hand.
    Switch into the /Applications/TextEdit.app folder.
Open up a terminal, and type:
    cd /Applications/TextEdit.app
    List the contents:
    ls -al
You should see a subfolder called Contents
    Switch into that directory:
    cd Contents
Finally, you should see another subfolder called MacOS, switch into that:
    cd MacOS
You should now be in the following directory:
    /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS
if you do a directory listing there (ls -al), you will see the executable binary TextEdit.
    To execute this binary, type:
    ./TextEdit
You should be able to do this with any application -- Try this with your Rosetta Applications (just substitute the Application name with TextEdit) and see what result you get in the terminal window.
    Good Luck,
    Golan.
