Programs missing from "Open in" menu.

Up until today, iAnnodate was listed in my iPad "Open in" list. Today it is missing. I tried the Home button and off switch reboot, but no luck.

  • Updated ACR to 8.4 with latest OSX. Now ACR is missing from "Open with" menu in Bridg

Clearly from what I am reading online, there are all sorts of horrors resulting from this latest ACR upgrade.
Mine is that the option to open a file in ACR has disappeared from the right click menu in Bridge.
Raw Nef's still open in ACR by default, but I cannot open any other file type in ACR
Is there a way to uninstall ACR 8.4 and reinstall an older version?

There's a fix coming....  don't reinstall CS6 yet, although that would be hours of fun
I just received a replacement file to test for the camera raw plugin. This fixed the problem on my installation of CS6 that had updated to 8.4 and was not able to launch Camera Raw from Bridge, and also Bridge was not able to view or alter any Metadata.
There was no need to reinstall PS, just a direct replacement of the file. I don't know how Adobe will be supplying the fix, but as of now, I would not recommend updating to Camera Raw / DNG 8.4 if you are using CS6 until the new file is available.
thanks to Adobe for the quick fix.

  • Why is the "Send to iDVD" command missing from the share menu in iPhoto 9.4.3 when trying to send a slideshow to iDVD?

How come the "Send to iDVD" command is missing from the share menu? In iPhoto I used to be able to send my slideshows to iDVD simply my clicking on the slideshow, selecting the "Share" menu at the top and going to "Send to iDVD". Now in iPhoto 9.4.3 that option is missing.
Further i am also using iDVD 7.1.2 and running OSX version 10.8.3.
    Thanks!

Export the slideshow via the Export button at the bottom of the slideshow window with Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, choose a theme and drag the exported movie file to the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help ensure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Photomerge command has gone missing from File Automate - menu

Was using Photomerge command successfully in PS and at some point later PS crashed and locked my Mac. I restarted and now the Photomerge command is missing from the File Menu. I asked Adobe support for help, they had me reinstall latest PS but it's still not there.
Is there anywhere in the PS Folders I can check for a file associated with this command (like there are for Scripts for example) and could possibly replace?
I also tried initiating the command from Lightroom with a set of images selected and using the relevant contextual menu and it produces an error saying Photoshop could not be launched (it is launch though).

Hi and thank you. Yes Photomerge.jsx is there in the scripts folder. Although when I go to launch other scripts from within PS using the File> Scripts… menu I get the following error:
Could not complete the Image Processor command because Photoshop was unable to find the JavaScript plug-in
    How can I get it?

  • Programs missing from Programs and Features

    Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me.
A few weeks back i accidentally downloaded a program that wasn't from a reliable source, which in turn downloaded a bunch of junk on my computer. It was stupid of me, i'm usually really careful!
I managed to get in and remove most of them, but then all of a sudden all but a few of my programs completely disappeared from Programs and features. Flash Player, Google Chrome, Firefox and a few other programs were the only ones hat remained. The major
programs that were missing from the list are still working fine from what i can see, but i didn't get the chance to remove a few items of adware and they are still active on my computer and being as irritating as an STI (i'd imagine...)
On searching online how to remove these parasites, most of the sites suggest uninstalling from Programs and Features, which i can't do because they aren't on the list! All other suggestions have not worked!
I have tried going into safe mode (with and without networking) and setting up another user profile with admin but the list stays the same.
I can't remember the last time i backed up (Months ago i presume)
    Any suggestions?

  • "Toolkit for CreateJS" Missing from Flash CC Menu

I'm a Creative Cloud user running the latest version of Flash Professional CC on my 27" iMac running OSX Mavericks. I want to export an animation file using CreateJS. However, the "Toolkit for CreateJS" option is missing from my "Window" drop down menu - it's not even grayed out, it's just not there. Using the alternate of Shift+F9 doesn't work either. I tried downloading the CreateJS extension from Adobe but is says I need to be running CS6 for it to work, and that "Toolkit for CreateJS" is supposed to come pre-installed in Flash CS Pro. But it's not there. This is very frustrating, and I'd be deeply grateful for any help someone could give me. Thanks!

HTML5 publishing with the new update is now more inetgarted with the application and we now have a new document type called "HTML Canvas" which publishes using the same CreateJS libraries.
The Toolkit for CreateJS panel is no longer present with the new update, but the HTML5 publishing using the toolkit is now intgerated as part of the HTML canvas document type that you will see new in this update.
    Please refer to:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/using/whats-new.html#Creating%20and%20pub lishing%20HTML5%20Canvas%20content
Also you can convert your previously created AS3 document that publish to HTML5 into HTML5 Canvas documents. This is also mentioned in the documentation below:

  • HT4623 The 'software update' tab is missing from the General menu. How do I get it reinstalled?

Software Update tab is missing from General settings. How do I fix this.  I NEED TO LOAD NEW new a new iOS

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

  • Apps Removed from 'Open In' Menu on Ipad with IOS 8.0.2

Since getting the IOS 8 update, I am unable to open PDFs in email attachments with the "Open In" menu at the top righthand corner of the screen, from Quick Look view. Before the update, all of my apps that supported PDFs were available in that menu (such as Notability). Now, the apps are gone.
What can I do to resolve this? I've checked the settings on the individual apps, and I don't see a solution there.

Not entirely clear what you are seeing. Are you saying you no longer have the file action bar at the top of the screen, or you have it, but your apps do not display when you tap the icon on the far right?
If it is the former, tap anywhere on the document to display it.
If it is the latter, try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
The functionality is still there. I have over two dozen apps available for handling PDFs that show up in mine.

  • Deleting options from "open in" menu

How does one delete items from the "Open in" menu? Since the menu only holds about 10 items, when I download a new app that supports the "Open In" option, I lose other apps that we're previously location within the menu, e.g., Dropbox and Evernote, specifically. I'd like to remove some of the other apps populating the menu list (WITHOUT deleting the other new apps) and retain the two previously mentioned apps. Thx.

From my research I found the following:
There is no way to control this. When you install an app, that app can register its ability to process a certain file type with the iPad's operating system, iOS. Then, when you get that 'Open in' option, iOS uses the apps that have registered their ability. Unfortunately, iOS does not provide the user with the ability to control this list - other than by uninstalling the apps that can process a file type.

  • "Edit in Photoshop Elements" missing from windows context menu.

How do I get the "Edit in Photoshop Elements" back in my context menu? I think what happened was that after installing PSE 13 I uninstalled PSE 12 and that may have removed the context menu item. Just guessing. Is there a way to add it back without re-installing PSE 13?

Right click on a photo file of the type that you will want to open in PSE. In the context menu, mouse over Open With to open the menu. Select "Choose default program" and in the window that opens select PSE 13 if it appears in either Recommended or Other. If it isn't shown, choose Browse and navigate to the PSE 13 .exe file in Programs/Adobe/Photoshop Elements. If you want files of this type to always open in PSE when double-clicked, check the box "Always use the selected program". If you want PSE 13 to only appear in the Open With menu, be sure the box is not checked. Click OK.

  • Photoshop missing from bridge tools menu

I have upgraded from CS2 to CS3 and now cannot access Photoshop automate features via bridge as the Photoshop menu item is missing from the Bridge tools menu. I am running XP professional all programmes are up to date

All items are checked in Startup Scripts dialog, but when I click on Reveal My Startup Scripts, the folder is blank.
In /Library/Application Support/Adobe, there is no Startup Scripts CS5 folder.
I have now uninstalled CS5, used the cleaner and reinstalled it from different download files seven times, so I doubt that's the problem.
Don't know what to do next.

  • Remove Items from "Open With" Menu

I installed Photoshop CS2 last week and it added a ton of unnecessary and unwanted items in the "Open With" menu in Tiger...
Sorry that image is so large, but imagine having to look at that on a regular basis. Can I remove all of that crap?! It's slowed Tiger's performance considerably.

If you are never going to use them, you can simply trash and restart. Or you can do what I (and many others) have done and leave the ones you do use and zip the rest. They are here:
    "/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS/Samples/Droplets"
There's one folder for Photoshop, and second for ImageReady.

  • PSE11 Outlook Option is missing from Client Email Menu

I have recently installed Photoshop Elements 11 on a new Windows 7 64 bit PC.
When I try and send an attachment by email (Share - File Attachment) then my Outlook 2010 client is missing from the list of Email Client options. I only see the Adobe service and Windows Live Mail.
Is there a way of getting Elements 11 to recognise that I have Outlook 2010 installed ?
    Thanks, Dave

    Hi Dave,
Yes, it would be useful if Adobe included this sort of thing in the release notes or even a FAQ.
I think that the main problem lies in the 32bit PSE trying to talk to a 64bit application.
I did notice that when I got my Office 2010, even Microsoft recommend to use the 32bit version.
Good Luck - please let us know the results.
