Hi,
I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 with 2GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB HDD, GeForce 9400 GT, AMD Athlon Dual Core 5400+ 2.80 Ghz Processor.
Quicktime does not work properly for me, it is jumpy and different colors randomly flash. I have followed other instructions in similar posts but they have had no effect.
I am going to change to Vista Ultimate x32, but before I do that I am wondering if there is any software or hardware that I may have that would cause QT to do this.

Yes, I have done that.
I've tried a few different things and none of them have worked, so I'm thinking it must be some hardware and/or software that is causing this to happen.

Recent ITunes update has caused ITunes not to work. Tried uninstalling all Apple products and reinstalling fresh. Still doesn't work. Tried reinstalling from an old install.exe. Install went nicely but program won't start as it says it can't open the library file.

Now that I have no way of accessing any of the products I have purchased from ITunes, I will most certainly never use ITunes again for any reason. Why throw good money after bad? I will use another MP3 player that is not as cumbersome or proprietary.

I am running windows 7. I have tryed uninstalling and reinstalling and every time it locks up at the same point, when it is checking for updates to plug-ins. I have run troublt shooting and it tels me :Incompatible Application. Why??

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

What type of reset were you doing, a soft reset via the home and sleep buttons, or a reset back to factory defaults ? Have you tried another soft reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Why does the new Quicktime NOT play my old MOV files?

Hi Folks.
I'm using the lasted updated Yosemite on a 3-year old iMac.
Back in my early iMac days (3 years ago), I imported my camcorder's AVCHD files
into iMove or Final Cut Express and converted them to Quicktime MOV files.
Turns out they were rendered by Apple or Final Cut into MOV files using the
Apple Intermediate codec. I had no choice over this.
Until I upgraded to Yosemite, I was able to preview any of these movies
very easily in the Finder. Simply highlight the movie, press the spacebar,
and it opens, in a real-time, real-size screen, with a simple play-pause button
in the progress bar at the bottom. Never had a problem with any previous
Mac OS.
Now when I click on the file in the finder, instead of a movie preview, I get a
big, silent QT "Mov" icon that just sits there looking silly.
I double click it to open it up in Quicktime, and it attempts to go through this
lengthy conversion process, taking at least as long as the movie is in minutes,
then asking me if I want to save this new "converted" version.
Fortunately, I have an old version of Quicktime 7 on my Mac, and QT 7 opens it
and plays it no problem. No "conversion" necessary. No cumbersome and
space-hogging needs to create a "cloned" copy, just so the new, lame version
of Quicktime can play it.
What's up, Apple? AIC was YOUR codec that YOUR SOFTWARE chose to
transcode into. Now, your new Quicktime does NOT support this codec?
And your old version does? And why might THAT be?
Really, this is so elementary. This is not rocket science. Just like JPG images
not displaying properly in Mac Mail now. It begs the question "why" ...?
I mean, for the elementary preview abilities that always made Mac such a
friendly computer ... *uh* ... where is that?
And here we go, wasting hours of time, looking for fixes that should not
have to be "fixed"...

Aeclay: here's a couple of ideas. And an answer to your earlier post.
Basically two options to work with here:
Store the files as native AVCHD files... OR
Convert the files to Quicktime
I keep two archives of my AVCHD recordings, partly for backup, and partly for Sony's ability to archive nicely in it's own native format on it's PC-friendly utility called "PMB". (came wtih both my NEX and ALPHA cameras). I have an old PC that I use for my complete archive; Sony's PMB utility works only on PC's and will do a good job both of archiving, providing a thumbnail database, and re-writing your choice to removable media in it's typical Sony hierarchy.
If you've only got Mac's, you can still archive your AVCHD recordings; copy them to folders named or organized to your own spec's. AVCHD is a high-quality compression format, and they'll take up way less disk space than converted Quicktime MOV files. You can open and play all AVCHD movies quite easily with VLC player.
The only extra trick to be aware of here is this. The only reason you would need to preserve the intact "sony" folders (named "AVCHD" / "BMDV" etc) is is you were using Adobe Premiere as a video editor. Somehow, it needs the hierarchical folder stuff in place to properly index the files. Not mandatory, but helpful if you are a Premiere user. Otherwise, forget the weird "package" folders; just right-click (ctrl-click) on them, choose "view package contents" and MOVE the MTS files out of the Sony hierarchy for permanent storage. Use VLC player to open and view them.
From that point on, you have control over how you manage the files and what intermediate or end-user format you convert them to for your own use.
I'm not clear on your other question about the files that add the word "converted" on. Of course Mac will convert to Quicktime MOV files. Not sure what codec they're using now, likely H.264. Anyway, don't bother converting. It'll take up a lot of time and waste a lot of disk space.
ps. I just found this free utility on the internet. It's called "MTS CONVERTER". I have not tried it, but it claims to be able to convert all AVCHD files to various useable formats.

10.1.2.3 patch causes webutil not to work.

I had 10.1.2.2 Developer Suite working with webutil. Then we applied the 10.1.2.3 patch. Now webutil does not work. I read metalink and it said to use jacob_1.10.1.zip. I did that. I also got the frmwebutil from webutil.2.2.zip. I signed both jacob.jar and frmwebutil.jar. I also overwrote the jacob.dll with the new jacob.dll. I recompiled a previously working webutil form. When I run the form I get this... Remember, this all worked before I applied the patch.

Ok, let me see if I can clear this up.
1. First from a patching point of view it doesn't matter if you are using Application Server or Developer Suite 10.1.2. The patches are the same for both.
2. The base release (complete product) is 10.1.2.0.2. Both 10.1.2.2 and 10.1.2.3 represent patched versions of 10.1.2.0.2. All patches are cumulative so it doesn't matter if you got to 10.1.2.3 by way of .2 or .0.
3. Patch 9593176 is a Forms Bundle Patch intended to be installed on top of 10.1.2.3 only. Refer to Note 1188127.1 for more information about this patch.
4. If you patched from .0 directly to .3 and skipped .2, it is important that you refer to Note 1058514.1 in order to address a known issue with said path.
5. As already noted, applying patch 9593176 does require the use of Jacob 1.10.1 if you plan to use the OLE functionality. However, more important is that this patch also includes a replacement for webutil.pll. It is very important that older versions be removed, including its related PLX file. You then need to generate a new PLX using the new PLL.
Last but never least, is the original issue...
...java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.forms.webutil.clientInfo.GetClientInfo...This error suggests that either the jar file is not being downloaded or the bean is not being identified in the form. The latter is usually the issue and can be corrected by regenerating the FMX and ensuring that you use the compile_all=yes option when doing so. However, I would first recommend that you address the pll info I mention in #5 first.
If this doesn't correct the issue, then look closely at the java console and see if you note the frmwebutil.jar files as being downloaded. If not, then it is likely missing from your archive entry or not being picked up for some reason and this is the cause of the problem.

Adding Signal Processing vi to application causes exe not to work

I am having a problem with building an exe that I hope someone can help me with.
I have a LV2010 (10.0.1) project that I a build into an exe. This has worked fine and the exe works as it should.
My problem starts when I add a vi.lib (Extract Single Tone Information) vi to the code to calculate the detected frequency of a vibration signal. I can run the application in Labview without any problems.
When I try to build the executable I get an error:

After searching through the message boards I found that I could enable debugging in the Build Specifications and that would allow LV to compile the exe without error:

I am stuck now. The exe does not run on my development machine. Am I missing some dll files that are needed because of the Extract Singal Tone Information.vi?

I have managed to fix this problem.
I am posting my solution here for anyone that might run into something similar.
It turned out to be a strange problem to solve.
first I tried to create an executable using only the Basic Single Tone Measurement.vi as suggested. This I could build and run without any problem.
This showed that the vi was not the problem but rather something in my project.
Next I tried various ways to build the project with the Basic Single Tone Measurement.vi placed at different locations in the project. But nothing worked.
What finally resolved this problem was that I deleted a subvi that had originally contained an fft vi inside a true/false statement that was wired to a constant (to disable it). Even though the fft vi had been long since deleted and the conditional statement as well then for some reason the project would not build correctly when I placed the Basic Single Tone Measurement.vi anywhere in it.
To summarize. I deleted a subvi that had previously contained a vi to calculate the fft and eigen frequency and placed the Basic Single Tone Measurement.vi in the top vi. This solved the issue and I could build and run the exe without any problems.

Having the top( ) Volume stuck in the press down position would that effect the phone ringer not to work.

My ringer was working fine from one day to another it stopped working, looking at the phone I looked at all the setting , the little switch on top was not showing the line, but I did notice the top volume button was stuck in the down position. Would this effect the ringer not to work. I can listen to videos, music and streaming videos on the internet without any issues. What you think

I have been able to use the Zoom function to zoom in and the keys on the top row no longer are in the non-responsive strip of area.

Skype 7.6 causing Chrome not to work

A few days ago, Skype updated automatically to the latest version (7.6). Since then, I have been experiencing awful issues with Chrome and with Skype itself. --ISSUES WITH CHROME--If Skype is running, any page I load on Chrome won't appear, no matter if it is among my favourites or if I type in the web address myself. Chrome does reach the website, which means the search engine works, but it either doesn't show the page, which means I see Chrome's black background (...the one you see when you're reading PDFs on Chrome for instance) or it shows the actual page for half a second and then it goes back to the said black background. Refreshing the page won't work either. Plus the Adblock Chrome extension keeps crashing. How do I know it's Skype's fault? Because as soon as I quit Skype 7.6 everything goes back to normal! --ISSUES WITH SKYPE--As if this wasn't enough, Skype 7.6 has been having terrible issues also in terms of functionality. As soon as I start running the program, it looks as if it is working, but then, as soon as I start a conversation, the page won't move and I can't see what I've written and what other people have written. Names and conversations only appear (in bits and pieces) if I pass my mouse over them...it's as if Skype was constantly stalling. As of now, Skype is not usable and it's even causing issues to my Chrome. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

regardless of the account that logs on I get the error "the following remoteapp program is not in the list of authorized programs: WordPad
I have tried various things but I am sure the setup is correct.. any ideas?

Based on my experience on similar issues, this error may be caused by missing Host Records of the TS servers on the local DNS.
To fix this issue, please add the Host Records of the Terminal Servers into the local DNS and test it again.

Having trouble with my filters in the filter gallery not all working on the image.

Bas relief filter is not adjusting all the layers. It is applying the filter to a white screen. The underlying image does not show through. I did this successfully yesterday - can't figure out what went wrong.
The image is in RGB color, 8 bit, and I've tried to do this in both TIFF and PSD formats.
I have been creating images by opening the image and then immediately going into the bas relief filter and applying the filter. This time, when i do that, the preview image in the filter panel goes completely white. I can see very, very faintly that there is the design in there, as though the design is hidden well behind a thick layer of white. I adjust the sliders, and it doesn't help.
To make matters worse, it's doing this for a few of the filters! Some of them work just fine, and some don't!
Where I used to be able to go through the entire filter gallery and see how every filter would love on an image, now many of them just show a white screen when I try to apply them, so I know that it's not only the bas relief filter.
I have a job to turn out - so I need to figure out what I've done wrong!

color settings for foreground and background that existed prior to the
change and duplicate them?
I was working on several different files that look quite similar, as I was
adjusting the color to have lighter varations. They all started out the
same, though.
It looks like the File>Info shows the process of changes, and I would love
to know what the settings were before the changes- what the settings were
when I opened the file.

Cloning tool causes keyboard not to work.

Every time I use the cloning stamp tool to edit a file, sometimes I hear a piano-like sound and my keyboard won't work. I have a Mac running Yosemite but even before the upgrade it did that. I'm using Creative Cloud but had CS4 and it did it with those too. Is it a glitch? Is anyone else having this issue?
Under tags there seems to be a 'cloning stamp bug' choice. Then I'm not crazy! So, what's the solution?
