Programs to put video on video ipod using mac osX.

I bought a 30 gig video ipod and want to put video material I've shot on it. I have alot of my stuff on DVD and on my harddrive. What software is available for the mac at converting video to the ipod. Help is much appreciated.

I just want to be able to take a segment of video I made on a minidv camcorder and put it on the iPod. There are many options that work great for windows users. I personnaly use "Video Vault for the IPOD". My home movies where captured to the hard drive as MPEG 2. The above software will accept just about any file (DVIx, XVId AVI, DV, MPEG 1/2, WMV, Realplayer etc.) and format and convert for you. I have over 280 video files currently on my IPOD. The software is not freeware, but you get a good product for your money. It will automatically transfer the file when complete to your IPOD. Music videos take about 1 minute to convert from WMV format. TV shows in MPEG 2 format take about 6 minutes and a 2 hour movie takes about 48 minutes. It has a very fast encoder and keeps your audio and video streams in perfect snyc. Use Google and you can download a trial to try it out. It is really easy to convert videos to your IPOD. You just need the right software. I see so many MAC users stating that us "Windows" users have so few options other than "Videora". While MAc's have some very good software programs, so do we, you just need to find the right one. Good luck and stay positive. Don't hesitate if you need more help to post back.

It is now confirmed that iWeb, and iDVD, has been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. It now appears that the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought.
Personally, if I didn't already have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.

I'm having trouble setting up a VPN using MAC OSX 10.4.11 Server. I have and XSAN system and one of my volumes has been down for quite a while now. There is a very kind MAC IT professional that is willing to help be troubleshoot my system but he needs to be able to access my system remotely. I am able to connect the MDC to DSL but I haven't been able to set up the VPN. Please help, this is an emergency. Thanks!

Hello, The Hatter, I read about the 'trick' of backing up, erasing, and restoring too, but I figured it would take longer than defragmenting the disk.
But the defragmentation process has just finished! so I'm gonna try to run Boot Camp again soon!

And P.S. I didn't clone my system onto the external drive, I just inserted the Mac OS X Install CD, rebooted holding down the "C" key, and installed a fresh Snow Leopard system onto the predetermined partition. I will use that in cases of emergency, when my main/internal system becomes unusable.

Since photoshop cs5 can't use past the camera raw 6.7 plugin and that camera requires at least the camera raw 7.1 plugin, you could use the 8.7.1 dng converter
to convert the files to dng copies, which then photoshop cs5 should be able to open.

Make sure you are not in one of the full screen modes.
