Hello,
i was hoping someone would be able to tell me why my Progress Bar option is disabled? i need to add a progress bar to my project but I cant seem to figure out how.

Progress bar is disabled on startup
Every time I start up spotify on the pc, the progress bar is disabled. Its greyed out and I can't press previous, play, next or scrub through a song anymore. The buttons with lyrics, shuffle, the volume etc do work. The issue is usually temporarily resolved after updating spotify, however the next day its the same issue over again. This is happing since a couple of months now. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this? I am currently on version 1.07.157, windows 7.
Spotify should update every 2 weeks. If you are getting lots of frequent updates, then there could be a problem with your installation of Spotify.
Try a clean reinstall by also deleting the cache folders:
First uninstall Spotify and then delete these folders if they exist:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify
and C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Spotify
After that reinstall Spotify
If you can't find the folder, try this:
Uninstall Spotify: Start > Control Panel > Programs / Uninstall a Program > Spotify
Find your AppData folder and delete all Spotify data.
Start, run, type: %appdata% and hit enter
You probably see 4 folders; enter each and see if they contain a folder called Spotify. Delete the entire Spotify folder.
Restart your computer at this point.

Short answer is, not in Flash Catalyst right now.
But you can change it in Flash Builder with a little coding.

Hi Guys,
I keep getting a progress bar on startup. Not every time, but at least every few days. I've had this before since installing Mavericks and eventually my drive was not reparable in disk utility and I had to do a clean install and start from scratch.
I'm using a Macbook Pro 2012 with a Sandisk Ultra Plus SSD.
One thing I've noticed is that it seems to happen when I shutdown and close the lid of the macbook overnight and leave it unplugged. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not.
I'm not sure exactly what is causing this issue and I can't seem to find what it is from the log files. I've pasted my log file in below, hopefully there's someone out there who can see what it is!

we are running a windows server 2008r2 sp1 domain controller and a 3com gigabit switch to which 7 windows 7 pro computers are connected. We are only using the windows server to distribute a few printers and as a network share (z drive).
we are storing all files (word documents only) centrally on the server (z share), and files are accessed and written to the z share.
Problem is that file access from the z share on the windows 7 client computers is at best buggy. we are able to browse the z-share, but as soon as we want to search the z-share for files (f.i. use file explorer with "content: memorandum") the green
progress bar shows and no search is performed. something like alphabetically sorting a directory on map/file name on the z-share also shows a green bar with no sorting. manually going to the files works.
One thing i noticed, sometimes not all files that one user created and stored on the server is visible and can be found by another user. I prefer to disable all offline file caching setting, because that feature is not used. no files should be made accessible
offline. i don't know where to change that on the server side.
I am reluctant to experiment on the server end (2008r2 sp1), so i tried a few suggested solutions on the client end (windows 7 client)

i tried properties (z share) ==> advanced and map optimizing and several options there
i tried disabling the smbv2 protocol and disabling the smbv1 protocol (using
sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/nsi command etc. posted by microsoft)
i tried disabling windows defender
i tried accessing the z share via ip and server name (the share is mapped via its servername, e.g. dennis-dc1\share). still the same
file searching on the clients c drive ('own harddrive') works much better, file searching on the server also works.
any suggestions or solutions that i can test on the client side, as mentioned i am reluctant to change something on the server side. if a solutions works, i prefer to change it on the server side.Hi,
The issue could be due to windows indexing service taking long time in sorting and searching in mapped drives. Please try the steps belwo to disable windows indexing service or search service on the windows 7 client to resolve the issue.
You can click on Start and select Control Panel, click on
Programs and Features, go into the Turn Windows Features on or off section Scroll down the list and uncheck the box next to Indexing Service or Windows Search.

I'm looking for a way to lock the progress bar in the playbar in Captivate 8. This has come up a few times in regards to older versions of Captivate, but I haven't seen anything for 7 or 8 yet.
I've tried this: Captivate 6 Help me Lock the Progress Bar in the Playbar, which relates to ver 6, but seemed to kinda do what I'm looking for, but not exactly.
However, the Playbar Lock Widget seems to do exactly what I'm looking for (Flash-Factor » Playbar Lock Widget (Cp5, Cp5.5)) but is for 5 and 5.5 only. According to this threadCaptivate 6 playbar lock, the widget doesn't work on 6, so I assume it doesn't work on 7 or 8, either. I've emailed the developer (Whyves) the other day, but considering the last activity on that site was a couple of years ago, I'm not really expecting a response.
Does anyone know if there is an easy-ish way to do this or if there is an updated version of this widget available?

Thank you very much for your response. I realize it was very unlikely that particular widget would be updated, but was hoping someone has since been able to make something like that work in Captivate 8 (or even Cp7).
I am actually working on a project that must be completed in a linear fashion the first time through. It consists of three parts, with each part consisting of a short video presentation followed by a couple of knowledge check/quiz questions. Learners must correctly answer the questions before they can proceed to the next part, and should be able to review the video they just watched (or any previous video) at any time, but they must not be able to skip ahead to the next video until they've correctly answered the KC questions for each part, or to skip the video the first time through.
Enabling remediation helps in that it allows learners to re-watch the video before and even during the knowledge checks without getting 'stuck' on a question they've answered correctly already. However, it seems that forcing a linear flow while still giving learners an idea of their progress through the course via a progress bar without allowing them to use it to skip ahead has proven very difficult to do.
The widget seemed to perfectly fit the bill in that it would disable 'scrubbing' with the progress bar until learners completed the activity. Then, once they've completed it, they could now use the progress bar to review the material again if they wished.
Oh, well... we'll keep digging and hoping that maybe someone out there with more knowledge and skill in this than us figures out a way to make it work.

Black screen/progress bar with Yosemite startup
Since installing Yosemite on my relatively new imac, when I boot up i get a black screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar, which takes about 90 seconds to load. I've tried disc first aid, verify/repair permissions etc , done a new install from my backup disc but it still persists. is this now the way of the yosemite world?

BruceTry booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

Need very simple ''progress bar'' or a ''Please wait notice'' in javascript
I have a JSF portlet app, made in JSC. It uses remote EJB calls and some calls take a long time to finish. E.g. User clicks a button, some data are gathered, sent to an EJB and the app. is waiting for reply.
For the user it looks like this: Click ... Internet Explorer progress bar flashes, nothing happens for 30s, then the progress bar starts from zero again and loads the next page in 15s.
So I need a very simple notice in the middle of the screen, that will just say "Take a break, don't click the button again, please! ... " and animate a clock, a bar or whatever, maybe disabling the window so the user will not be able to push buttons. (The users are annoying folk!)
The message should dissapear as soon as the next (or the same) page loads.
I've never did javascript, so if anybody has a simple example code, I will be grateful and give him a duke or two. (And I really don't need the AJAX super-components)Martin, best of luck, i fought this same problem last year.
Even when I got a progress bar on my page, it would not "animate" as IE apparently does not animate gifs after a form is submitted (and before the page is destroyed). I think I eventually got around this by adding an onclick event to my form submit that reset the image.

Ideally, is there anyway that we can get this IE behavior (page loads, waits for X times, page loads again correctly) fixed? This is highly confusing to my clients. -
Downloading Lion and I don't believe all I get is a box that says "installing" and no progress bar. This is the height of silliness.

If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
Try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security
If you have an app called Little Snitch installed, that can prevent files from downloading including Lion.

I am unable to download itunes software onto my PC windows 7. the progress bar stops at around 80%. If my security (Spyware is blocking it then I don't know how to 'temporarily' disable it, or then get it back?
I've been unable to research a reason its trying to go to a directory that does not exist. It leaves me with out any way to sinc tunes onto my iPod.

A second non-functional progress bar is always visible on the status bar, how can I get rid of it?
The second bar is inside of the sizing grip on the right side of the status bar. It does nothing, but take up space. The functional progress bar appears only when it is working inside of the message panel and outside of the authentication panel on the left side of the status bar. I've turned the status bar off and then on again--no luck. I've also tried disabling all add-ons--no luck. I've also changed themes--no luck. Do I need to re-install the browser?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
If you have many extensions then you can first enable half of the extensions to test which half has the problem.
Continue to divide the bad half that still has the issue until you find which one is causing it. -
After waking from sleep, my Macbook Pro shows grey progress bar
I have the mid 2012 Macbook Pro (13 inch). When I leave it open and let it fall asleep after the time I have chose, it wakes up again fine.
But if I choose the sleep from the Apple in the menu bar or SHUT the lid, when I wake it up, it shows the grey progress bars and takes about 3-4 minutes before it is responsive again.
Any advice? I'd just like it to sleep normally. It's a bit embarrassing to have to wait that long if I'm trying to show off how cool my laptop is

Thanks for any help!This was added to all 2012 model MBPs as part of some bs Euro power saving standard. By default, when on AC power, the system has to sleep for 14400 seconds before this deeper hibernation state happens. When that happens, the system takes a while to resume to normal operation. There is a workaround for this and it is available on this site, but I urge you to call AppleCare and complain about this issue yourself please because without a lot of complaints about it, Apple won't fix it. The workaround is to simply issue a command in a Terminal prompt that disables this option from happening, but it's not a fix by any means.
