Progress bar stuck in upgrade

While trying to update, I first updated from my iPad, and it got stuck multiple times (between resets by holding power and home button) about ⅚ through the second progress bar. Now I put it in recovery mode, and updated via iTunes. The progress bars on my mac all went through and finished, and now iTunes shows my iPad as it normally does, but my iPad screen still shows the progress bar at ⅚! What should I do?

Since the update appeared to complete properly using iTunes, did you try the reset again by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen?

The error that you are seeing has to do with your Internet connection. Try disabling your anti-virus software and connect the iPhone again and try to restore. See this support document for help. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • Trying to install CC apps, Progress bar stuck

I have spent most of my day trying to get the Creative Cloud desktop application installed (I have had to now create a new user on my computer which has seemingly fixed that), and when I tried to install Audition as a test, the progress bar got stuck at 40%. Since it wasn't going anywhere, I tried to cancel it, but it got stuck on cancelling for ages. So what I did was close the application, end all the Adobe processes and open CC Desktop up again. It crashed twice, and I then tried running it as administrator. It is now running, but my Audition download is now stuck at 11% for no obvious reason.
Has anyone had similar problems? Is there any way to fix it? (I've tried deleting the adobe files in %appdata%).
This is a 64-bit computer running on what should be fully updated Windows 7 with 8GB of RAM and an i5 4670K.

if you've already gone through all the help on that page, you really need to make sure your cc app is properly installed.
    i would uninstall it.
run the cleaner to see if it can find anything, http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    restart your computer.
then reinstall the cc app and make sure it installs without problem.

  • Initial progress bar stuck

We have a Flex 1.5 app our clients use. 99.9999% of the time
when our sales people go on a demo for a potential client, the app
loads just fine. That .0001% of the time, the initial progress bar
gets to a certain percentage and just sticks. In one situation,
having the sales person demoing use or install Firefox on the
client’s machine did the trick. We have a similar situation
with a potential client and we have tried everything. We’ve
cleared caches on both browsers, we’ve uninstalled and
reinstalled the Flash plug-ins for both IE and
Firefox…we’ve upgraded to IE 7…no matter what we
do, the app loads up and stops at 8%. It loads for every other
existing client and every other demo sales goes on…it loads
on all of our local machines in-office…this one single
client’s office cannot load the app…and the best part
is, it loaded for them last week when the sales first went to demo.
They went in for round two this past week and the app will not pass
8% on any of their machines.
    Any suggestions?

I have seen behavior like this when an application is near
    the 32k limit.
How are you running the app? Always from a Flex server? If
so, a suggestion for debugging is to compile the swf on a maching
the works, and then call it from a custom wrapper.
It might be worth trying this i reverse as well, saving the
swf on the non-functional system and running it directly from a
wrapper on a system that it has been working.
The 32k limit issue involves the compilation on the Flex
server, If a swf get generted and compiles and run successfully on
one system, it should run on all.
Hmm, even before that, try running the app with debug=true,
on the non-functional system. The debug switch causes code to get
generated into the swf that changes the way it get compiled. Often,
this will either overcome the 32k problem, or will display it
    clearly.
See the FAQ on CFLEX.net for more details on the 32k issue.

  • Progress bar stuck while installing Mavericks in recovery

    Hello
I erased the harddrive via Disk Utility in recovery and now i'm trying to reinstall OS X Mavericks. The problem is that the progress bar is stuck. It says "Downloading additional components. Your computer will restart automatically" yet there has been no progress at all. It's just stuck. I'm connected to WiFi and everything. It's a 2011 17 inch MBP

Since the update appeared to complete properly using iTunes, did you try the reset again by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen?

  • Migration Assistant Progress Bar Stuck Halfway

Today I bought the new 13" MacBook Pro (baseline).  I updated Migration Assistant on my 2008 Macbook and after that the transfer of content to the Pro seemed to be going smoothly.  However, the progress bar of Migration Assistant has stuck halfway, with an estimated 40 minutes remaining.
I don't know if this is related to the fact that I forgot to have my 2008 Macbook charging and so it ran out of battery during the process, until I realized it and attached the charger.  When I looked online for an anwer, someone had said to make sure that the "donor" computer didn't go to sleep, so I went and changed the settings on the Macbook so it wouldn't go to sleep.  Nothing happened and I don't know what step to take next.

The Migration Assistant is known (by users of this board) to be problematic between PowerPC and Intel. If you succeeded the first time, it may be the problems the second go around even though they are between Intel Macs, is from any Rosetta applications and plugins installed on your older Intel Mac.
Here's the user tip Kappy and I wrote about migrating between platforms:

  • Progress Bar Stuck, weird behavior running reports

Sorry if it's not the right way to reply or post a comment.
I just installed EA3 and additional to comments reported by ChrisMiller about the "Locks' reports, please, add this "weird" issue that occur once you try to run whatever of those reports, the progress bar got stuck like the query is running but it's not true, if you move your mouse pointer over the progress bar you'll see the child query corresponding  to "Blocking lock by user" the query predicate is looking for :BLOCKER_ID that doesn't exist?  and if you try to run another different report (whatever) you'll see in the progress bar the query executing is the one that was stuck from "Locks" reports, again you see the query with the :BLOCKER_ID in the predicate.

This is a fairly common problem. I have no idea what Apple had not issued a fix for it yet. But here is a thread from a couple months back with one theory as to WHY it happens...

  • Mac. MobileMe-to-iCloud. Upgrading Mail Database process seems to be hung - has been running for over 1 hour - progress bar stuck at about 20%.

Am wondering whether to 'Force Quit' and restart, or to let it keep running. Noticed that Activity Monitor is reporting very use of CPU (98% to 100%) of an activity named as "AddressBookSourceSync". Am not sure if that's related to this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks....

  • Yosemite Upgrade - iMac mid-2011 - Stuck on white progress bar screen at about 50%

I have a mid 2011 iMac.  I started the upgrade to Yosemite about 4 hours ago.  For the last 3 and 1/2 hours it's been "stuck" at the white progress bar screen at about 50%.  I hear the harddrive occasionally do reading/writing, but it isn't doing a lot just a tiny bit.  I've seen others post across the net with similar situations, but no solutions.  I'm willing to wait, but would love to know if it's actually proceeding or simply in some infinite loop.
Anyone know how to tell if it's in a loop or proceeding?
Anyone have any ideas on things to try?
I really don't want to try and interrupt the upgrade, but it doesn't appear it's going to complete.
    Ideas?
Thanks for any help you all can provide.

This worked for my MBP 17" mid-2010 after 10 hours of minor panic watching progress bar stuck at 50%:
Reboot and hold SHIFT key to go into Safe Mode and keep holding that SHIFT key.
*Patience is the key to the Shift key*
    Keep the Shift key down.
Do not let go of Shift key until you go to Italy when the computer does its Venetian blinds thing and goes into Safe Mode.
Check whether you have any login items. Do this via via Sys Preferences > Users & Groups
It is going to be slow. You are in SafeMode.
    Remove any login apps.
Run any updates for Yosemite (e.g. Pages, Numbers, Keynote) within Safe Mode.
    Reboot.

  • Yosemite upgrade, stuck at 50% progress bar

Some guys faced the same issue. But I couldn't restart to safe mode with shift, and recovery mode turn off wifi doesn't help to me. I tried to verify and repair the disk and permissions as Apple Care told me when I called, but not help. I also tried to use internet recovery with cmd option R and reinstall 10.9, but after reinstallation and reboot, it also stuck with some error log file, and I couldn't save this log file to my HD because I don't have permission it said.
Anyone can help me with that? I tried to use cmd S and sudo command could't be recognized in that mode. Maybe someone can help me go to safe mode without shift and let me turn off file vault (not sure whether it's on) or delete some apps.
Or any other ways to reinstall 10.9 without losing current files? I didn't back up.
    Please help me.

  • 10.7.5 update progress bar "upgrading iCal calendars"

I completed the 10.7.5 update on my MacBook Pro (2011) about ten minutes ago. Since then, after opening iCal, the progress bar "upgrading iCal calendars" has been sitting here. I do have a lot of historical calendar data, going back to 2003. Has anyone else had this problem? Will it finish if I let it go, or are my calendars already corrupt?
I'm worried because I've had bluetooth/external speaker audio issues, followed some directions, tried to boot into safe mode, and wasn't able to (left the machine for 3 hours, progress bar stuck at about 25%).
    thanks,
    Kim

After an hour, I tried to quit iCalendar. It was "application not responding," so I force quit, and got back in. In the title bar, it said it was updating, for maybe 45 seconds. Now it's fine and my historical data (stored locally) is there.
I upgraded another machine, and the Updating progress dialog box appeared for less than a minute and then was fine.
There's probably something underlying that's wrong with my main machine. Guess I'd better get on with cleaning up.

  • Problem with the progress bar

I've have a problem with the progress bar of my ipod. I bought a 5th generation ipod about 8-9 months ago. Now its progress bar stuck so it only shows the 5 dots. It doesn't show both scrubber bar and song time bar. When I press the center button, the 5 dots dissappear from the screen and then reappear but it doesn't show the other bars. Do you know what is the problem and How can I fixed it?

have you tried resetting ipod, cause as far as i know, this is sometimes just a temporary glitch, mine does this.
