Hi,
I created a Progress version for my company code.
In WBS, Progress Tab --> Progress version field my progress version is missing.
Where should i assign my progress version so as to appear in WBS progress tab

Two - Progress Versions in One Project

Dear Experts,
I need to setup two progress versions for one project.
Progress Version 1 - for monitoring project progress and preparing S curve., measurement method is time propotional.
Progress Version 2 - for Result Analysis, measurement method is Estimation.
Please advise on the following....
a) Is it necessary to enter both plan and actual for RA POC (for Progress Version 2), or can I enter only the actual progress.
b) Can I maintain the POC only on the Billing Element (WBS Element) where the RA will be calculated (RA key attached WBS Element).
c) Can I use two different POC weighting for the two different progress version.

I know I can right click and pulldown to "locate referenced files" and in both cases it says there are no referenced files which means that neither of these is in an Album or whatever.
Sorry, no, that means something completely different. It means that your master images are managed, they are imported into your Aperture Library and not stored outside your library. Perhaps you mixed this up with "Show in project", that you can use to find out the home project of an image in an album.
But is there a way to know what the Master is for these two?
No, both images are versions, referencing the same master. What you can find out, however, is which of the two is the most recent version.
To see this, you need to define a Meta Data preset in the Inspector Window. Open "Meta Data" in the Inspector Window. Select "Edit" in the selector. In the right panel navigate to Aperture -> Last Modified Date and check this item.
Now you will see the date when your your version was last modified. So you will be able to which of these two is the original version.
I know these sound confused and I am even after having pored over the full extent of the documentation.
Good for you! Keep it up, and do not only read but experiment with this information - try it out with a small experimental library.

Enter progress version once only-7A304

HI Gurus
We are upgrading system from ECC5 to ECC6.0 and we are getting error like "Enter progress version once only-7A304". Can anyprovide some pointers to resolve the issue.

Actully our issue is Ecc6.0, progress version values are getting populated automatically in WBS in progress tab but not in case of ECC5.0. Our client requires restore the same functionality in ECC6.0. Could you please provide info on this why it is behaving in that manner and what is the resolution

Default Progress Method and Progress Version

Hello all,
Could someone explain me why are Plan or Actual POC not shown in CNE5 when no progress version is set in progress tab of any WBS element or activity? According to squence of consideration of progress method if system couldnt find any method set by manually then go next step and check consistence of opposite POC method. (plan POC consider actual POC method if not manually set, actual POC method consider plan POC method if not manually set.) If also opposite POC method is not assigned then go next step and check default measurement methods defined in IMG. If also not assigned then the system goes through SAP 0-100 method.
But, when I check my reports in CNE5 when I didnt assign any progress version in progress tab none of date comes screen. I dont get it.

Hello,
it is mandatory to enter a Progress Version for the objects relevant for the Progress Analysis. This is needed as the settings concerning the default measurement methods are depending on the Progress Versions.
If you don't like to maintain a Progress Version for each object note 549097 might be useful for you.

is it possible to have a default progress version in projects.. note, i am referring to progress version, not measurement method...
my main requirement is to have progress values but no need to maintain progress version in progress tab of WBS and activities...
is this possible using substitution or user exit or is it possible no need to maintain prog version in wbs but still have poc values..

Error in Project Progress Config and process steps

Hi experts,
I am implementing PS for Asset procurement, in this i will procure material against material component which is added in Internal activity. I am using scheduling also. Now My client requirement is that he want project progress report on cost basic.
I am using CJ40, CJ30 and CJ32.
IN IMG i have configured like given below
1. I have created Progress version 100
    EV base - Cost Plan ( active Proejct, Annual Value)
    POC weighting - Weight
    Planning type - Basic dates
    Early/Late - Earliest Possible
    Actual method and Ref plan method tick.
2. Measurement method -
   for cost based report i have selected - Cost proportional
3. Default value for measuremnt method -
    100 -WBS element - Plan - Cost proportional
    100 - WBS element - Actual - Cost proportional
    100 - Acitvity ( int)- Actual - Cost proportional
    100 - Acitvity ( int)- Actual - Cost proportional
I have put this in CJ20N. I followed following steps
1. CNE1
2. CNE5
but it is showing 0 value in all tabs such as Aggregate planned percentage of completion, Non-aggregated planned percentage of completion
can anyone tell me the total process to get this report perfectly. It is very urgent need so please help me guys.

1) in wbs goto progress tab for enter version plan ,give ur method and actual also give your method poc weightage give 1
2) in activity go to progress tab enter your version, give your method for plan and actual give the work measurement method and weightage give 1
3) now confirm the activities if partial confirmation enter the degree of processing (%).
4) goto progress calculation screen and give your project number and select with hierachy and with orders. enter the month and year.
5) excute,
6) goto the report and check the report.
if still not working send screen shot of the report.

Problem in Project progress

Hi,
I am facing problem in Project progress report CNE5.
System is calculated 300 % poc in Adjusted aggregated actual POC & Aggregated actual POC field only after full confirmed the activity (Degree of Processing is showing in report as 100%).
If I confirmed 50 % then system is showing above value 0% .
Also while CNE1 system is taking default method as :SAP 0-100, so i changed it into activity by 00006 (Work) then system calculate the Progress but only after full confirmation, but again it is 300%. which should not.
The configuration settings are as
1. Progress Version: -
Progress Version : 100
Plan Version          : 0
EV Basis                 : 1 ( Cost Plan)
POC weighting      : 4 Work, Basic ( Active Project)
2. Group of Progress version:-
Controlling Area & 1
3. Assign Progress Versions to Group Progress Versions:-
Controlling Area, 100 & 1
4. Define Statistical Key Figure for Percentage of Completion:-

My problem is system is calculating poc only after full confirmation but i want at partial confirmation. Also after full confirmation poc is showing 300% which i want 100%.

Hi All,
I have defined Measurement Method 0000000003(Milestone) in progress analysis for my company code.
But while running CNE1 for my project it is not picking the measurement method i have defined for my company code but it is picking the 0-100 Method .
Please advice.

I have read all the posts on the subject, we are facing the same problem as reported by Muzamil. I have done the follwing
1. Creat Progress Version
2. Define Measurement Method as Default Values
2.1. Define measurement methods for WEBE
2.2. Ddfine measurement methods for all activity types
3. Assign progress versions to the WBS Elements and Activities in their progress tabs.
But, wen I run CNE1, SAP does not pic the default methods while analyzing progress. SAP uses 0-100 method, which is not right.
Please propose some solution

I have checked both BAPI but BAPI are not working as per our requirement.
Firstly we wanted to update progress parameter like measurement method(progress version,method plan,method actual) & POC weight into activity but as per BAPI given by you there is no any field available related to measurement method(progress version,method plan,method actual).
And secondly we wanted to update status profile residing in Activity tab not in network header or WBS.
Waiting for some more input related to query.

PropertyChange progress value

Hello,
I'm trying to create a progress bar in my program when a user uploads a File.
I've created a class that extends SwingWorker to upload a file using FTP. I'm creating an instance of the class and adding a propertychange listener to it. But when I run it the only calls im getting from the propertyChange method are two states that tell me when the file upload has started and when its finished. The file upload works fine. I've been reading this tutorial http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/progress.html and it looks like I should be getting the progress aswell, so I can use it in a progress bar.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.

it depends on the setting for the EV basis, which is done in the customizing for the Progress Version. There you can choose between:
- cost plan (annual values, per periods) e.g. via transaction CJR2
- cost plan (overall values) e.g. via transaction CJ40
- budget (annual values)
- budget (overall values)
The calculation of the BCWS and BCWP is done for each object. This means that the budget/planned costs from the relevant object are used for the calculation of the Earned Value. So if there is a POC for this object, but no budget or planned costs, then the EVs will be zero.
Besides this you should check whether this is just a reporting problem. Therefore you should check whether there are entries in table COSB with value type 'P1' and/or 'P2' for the relevant objects. If there are entries then check whether there are corresponding entries in table RPSCO (Project Info Database) with the same value types.
If these entries are missing, check the assignment to value categories of the cost elements that you have maintained for the Progress Analysis (cost elements can be found in IMG Project System -> Progress -> Progress Analysis -> Maintain Assignment Of Cost Element Group).
The assignment of cost elements to value categories can be done via transaction OPI2.

Progress Tab fields as required field

Hello PS Experts,
We do Progress analysis and update the Progress Tab of activity in
CJ20N. One of our business requirement is to make one of the fields in
Progress Tab as required field.Eg. Progress Version.
Is there any way to make this field as required ?

Version in BPS

Hello Gurus.
There is a concept of version in BPS.
Q1. What is the purpose of having version?
Q2. Where do we define version? For ex: i want to plan on version 001,002,003 for different levels. Do i need to upload the version data from flat file or do we need to punch in transactional cube manully..
i am not very much clear regarding version...I would appreciate if someone thro some light on this..

I think these are readly given by SAP. If i want to create new version..can i upload the versions directly from flat file or after entering the planning data that version will come at sit in 0version object.

We can get the progress analysis data (tcode CNE5) for a network activity and also for WBS element. However data is not cumulated at the network header. Need your urgent help for getting this at the network header level. Is there a workaround like user exit for doing this?
Also let me know available user exists for PS. Please guide me how to find an user exit for PS in particular.

Importing and handling progressive (non-interlaced) video...

Hi, have searched around and can't quite find the answer to my problem so I hope somebody can help...
Ive recently aquired a Sony TRV 900 (3ccd) which has a progressive shooting option. Apart from a strange semi-strobing effect on that sometimes occurson fast moving objects this option generally seems fine in good light.
I can import into Final Cut Express (v1) ok, and when I view the clip frame by frame (with the arrow keys) every single frame is clear, crisp, free of jaggies etc.
As soon as I play it back (either as a clip or in a sequence) it appears to be lower quality somehow and there is lots of nasty aliasing or jaggies. Pausing restores the image quality back to normal.
Ive messed with various options available when putting the browser into list view. (PAL or square ratios etc). Even tried exporting a final cut express movie, to view in Quicktime but the quality never matches that of a frame by frame playback in FCE. The exported versions if viewed frame by frame lack also lack the higher quality.
I cannot find any sort of interlace or field options during the import stage but as my 'stills' are great I assume it's either the preview playback or the rendered export at fault,but it's driving me pretty crazy! lol
Even though footage may end up on a dvd at some point (ie. interlaced, right?), I would still like progressive versions to create web versions etc.
Am I completely missing the point here or something?
Hope somebody is able to shed a little light here for me?!

As far as i know, Final Cut Express (at least the version i've used which is version 2) assumes you are working with interlaced video and that is that. In Final Cut Pro there is the option to work with progressive footage, but i think FCE just assumes you are using interlaced, and doesn't allow you to change that.
The way you are describing it, it does sound like it is playing progressive footage when in an interlaced mode. A similar thing happens when you play interlaced footage in a progressive mode. It looks absolutely fine when you look at a single frame, but once playing it has lines and artifacts around edges.
I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about that. I'd like to be wrong though.
