Project 2013 free trial setup.exe module doesn't work

I installed the Project 2013 free trial and it opened with 7zip, but now the issue is the setup.exe. When I click on it, I get an error message "The specified module could not be found". What do I do from here?

Hi There,
There might be some wrong file association or a module missing. I would suggest you to uninstall both Project 2013 free trial and 7zip and then first install Project 2013 and check if it works.
Once you are sure that Project 2013 trial works, you can install 7zip.

The problem was that you migrated CS6. Unfortunately, migration doesn't work because it doesn't move all the files.
First, you'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove the components that were installed:

Office pro 2013 download: setup.exe "module could not be found"

Have downloaded Microsoft Office Professional 2013 4 times. Takes about 7 minutes. Then when I click on setup.exe, the computer (windows 8.1) asks if I want to let Microsoft make changes to my computer (this is normal for a software download). I say yes
and I get a popup that says "the specified module could not be found". You have other threads with this same notation but none seem to be with a software download so I am starting a new thread.
This was downloaded from Microsoft Volume Licensing. There was a note that I would need to download the Microsoft webapps something or other and I tried downloading that as well, but the download name was the same as the other download, and the
outcome and resulting error message also were the same.
Concerned because no where was I asked for any license key or setup key or anything else.
Any advice would be greatl welcomed.

When you download Office 2013 from the Volume License Service Center, it comes down as .ISO files.
.ISO is not a file format that Windows can open natively.
There are several possible options you can use to install the software:
Use .ISO image file software to download and save the .ISO image file to a CD-R or a DVD-R.
Virtually mount and access ISO files as a virtual device.
Extract the .ISO files to your hard drive.

You can run setup.exe as administrator then try the install.

MS Project 2013 - Report Page Setup Bug

Hello
When I create a report in MS Project, for example a cash flow, I will setup the header and footer then save and print the file. When I return the gannt chart view or any other view then return to the report and re-print, the header and footer information
is no longer there.
I'm using MS project 2013 stand alone with no server integration, this is going to probably stop the wider use of this tool within our team as it's a pain. Does anyone know how to work around, or is this a known bug?

Cannot install trial, setup.exe launches but no window opens

I have a license of Dreamweaver CS4 (it's registered) and I wanted to install it. I however can't find the disk so I downloaded a trial (where I would supposedly be able to convert it to a registered version). I downloaded the trial using the Akamai Download Manager to my desktop, and ran the Executable to extract files from the .7z. It launched "setup.exe". It required UAC permissions, so I gave it UAC permissions.The problem I am having here is that the installation wizard "setup.exe" is not appearing in the GUI, even though the process is running (I can see it in the task manager, it's running, screenshot attached). It would nice if you knew a way to fix this problem, and thanks in advance for your help.

Are you re-installing on the same system or installing on a new system. If it is a re-install there could be left-over files from the original install that are causing issues. In this case you would need to run the clean script before installing ( Adobe - Adobe CS4 Clean Script ). That will wipe all traces of the Adobe software, including serial numbers.
If not you may need to contact Adobe technical support. They do offer free installation help for all users. They will need to know more about your system so be prepared for those questions (ie; Windows Vista/7?, 32 or 64 bit?, etc.).

I have office 32bit 2010 and want to try project 2010 free trial.

I am wanting to download MS Project 2010 to go with my office 2010. I keep getting redirected to Project 2013. I downloaded that and now I am getting the error 32bit error and I am directed to upload 64bit. My questions is how can I use
the free trial if I can not upload it to my computer?

You have 32 bit of office 2010 then you have to download project professional 2010 32 bit project professional 2013, 32 bit.
You are facing compatibility issue with office 32 bit. You need 32 bit of MS project professional.

Free Trial Setup Error

I am currently trying to download the free trial of Photoshop Cs4 but I am having difficulties. I am able to download and extract the necessary files but I am unable to actually setup the program.
When I click on the "setup" icon, a window opens that states "Checking system profile..." After a few seconds, it finishs and then a larger window pops up that states "Loading Setup." However, the window then abruptly closes and nothing happens. When I click on the "setup" icon again, the "checking system profile" window pops up but is quickly interrupted by a dialog box that tells me there is a setup error.
I have Windows XP and I'm on an administer account. I also meet all the system requirements.
I appreciate any help or advice.

Defrag the hard drive.
Also install Windows SP3 if not already done.

Project 2013 Professional Trial

I'm currently using Project 2013 Professional on trial and while following instructions in Microsoft Project 2013 Step by Step for creating a resource pool I found that I wasn't able to click on the "Share Resources..." option under the "Resource
Pool" button on the "Resource" tab. Is that because I'm on trial? The option is not grayed out, it simply does nothing when I click it.

I'm assuming you were able to successfully activate the trial? Are all other commands working as expected?

I see that Microsoft Lync Server has a free trial offered, but I do not see Microsoft Lync Online free trial. Is this available? We do not want/need Lync on our server but we want to test Lync Online before we purchase anything.

How do I make the free trial for photoshop premier elements 8 work?

I can't get the free trial to do ANYTHING. The welcome screen comes up but when I click on "New Project" the program shuts itself down & my screen goes blank. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it work or should I just delete the darn thing all together?

Oracle 9iLite download setup.exe file does not work

Like many people (I am discovering more by the minute), I am unable to install 9i Lite.5.01. When the setup.exe file is triggered, a hourglass appears for a second, then nothing...
I am installing on a windows 2000 terminal server, therefore I have to go through (Control Panel) Add/Remove Programs. The Oracle Universal Installer says that setup.exe is either a directory or is corrupt.
I have tried a couple of fixes suggested in this forum, such as unzipping the files to /install/disk, but to no avail. I have also tried downloading the software again, but with the same results.
Is there anyone out there who has successfully overcome this problem ?

Yes, there has been a problem reported with setup.exe on the Pentium 4 processor.
To overcome the problem, copy the contents of the CD on to your hard drive.
Then search for every occurence of the file symcjit.dll under the base directory where u have copied from your CD.
and rename them to symcjit.old.
Then launch setup.exe.
This should take care of the problem

Setup.exe... not working?

I've been having this problem for a while. Whenever I run the setup, nothing happens. Actually, I have noticed Setup.exe does open as a process for about a second, but other than that, nothing. I've ran as Administrator, I've ran without visual themes, I've ran in XPSP2 compatibility mode, and there's not much left to try.

You should only need to have .NET 1.1 to run MSI and it should more or less be on the system already, it may just lack a update. SP1 should not be required. After all, it was not around when CS3 was developed. Still, it may potentially straighten out a misconfiguration that may be the source of your troubles, so it's definitely worth a try (and on a sidenote: it really fixes several serious Vista shortcomings, so I warmly recommend it). If you know your way around your system, you could also check the group policy and system security policy settings. Maybe somewhere there's an option enabled that will not allow install unsigned (unknown) applications and UAC/ execution protection kicks in regardless of your other settings... Also one question: what graphics card an settings do you use? It's rare, but the installer frowns on certain "odd" screen resolutions because it thinks it can't draw the installer option screens and will close immediately, which might require choosing a different resolution...
