Project cptx not opening in the responsive design workspace.
I built a CP8 project cptx in a responsive design but when I went back to open it I get the normal workspace. What did I do wrong?

If I understand well, this is a 2013 mpp file that you want to open with Ms Project 2013? Then you get Project hang? Are you using Project Server as well or just the standalone MS Project version?
Can you reproduce this issue with other files or just this file?
Your file might be corrupted, try this
method, export the file as XML and saving it back as mpp.

I had just downloaded 9.0.3.2 and was trying to check if some critical problems we had were indeed fixed in the patch. As I realized myself later, my assumptions were wrong (but not the final results, unfortunately).
After another couple of days of debugging, I was able to identify the real problem, which I posted in BC4J: association accessor problem
As you can notice from the other thread, the issue is not that the entity row is not added to the cache (this is false), but that a second use of the association accessor will not "see" the new row - took me some time to understand the "slight" difference ;)
Maybe you could check that issue and suggest me a workaround...

i have a project i have been working of for weeks. today i went to open the project in iMovie and the sould would not play, the red indicator line stayed stationary and nothing happened. when i went to the Event Library, i could see the clips and the indicators that they had been imported. When i attempted to play the clips in the event library, they would play but without sound.
I quite iMove and tried to repair permissions, now the project refuses to open. the issues i mentioned in the event library remain unchanged, but the project refuses to even open.
i moved all files to an external HD and reopened iMovie. iMove identified only one project, but can't tell which one but it would open play. the Event Library had two files with the movie clips, but only one had the identifers of an import into a project. Both of the event libraries would now play the clips with sound.
I quite iMovie and ejected the external HD then relunched iMovie. the project that remained still would now not open or play and the sounds and the event library clips had no sound. i could see the green indicators of sound in the meter but none came out of the speakers.....this seem to be the only project effected and it had just over 2 hours of movie time in it.
I am running iMovie 11 (version 9.09 build 17950) on a macbook pro running OSX 10.8.3, 2.2 Ghz Intel Cor I7, 4GB RAMthis was the post i found, i wish i could give this guy the credit on his post, so cut and paste of it was the next best thing. As you can see from the post date, nearly 3 years later and the issue still exsists. I don't think it effects many of us, but is worth knowing.

I had a heck of a time today trying to figure this out, spent about 12 hours. This string helped me the most. I had to go a few steps further to get a total fix for iMovie and my project and thought this might be useful for others who have similar problems w/ iMovie. I have been working on a particularly large project with many, many clips in one Event Folder. Today all of the sudden the sound and playback wouldn't respond when I hit the space bar, I couldn't view anything at all in the window viewer, eventually iMovie wouldn't open at all, and all I would get is the spinning beach ball. Had to force quit a hundred times. What worked for me was: 1. Freed up some space on my hard drive by pulling other events (which were not tied to any completed movies) to external HD. This may not have anything to do w/ the fix, but I ain't leavin it out after what I went through today.
2. With imovie closed, found where the Event Folder and associated Project I have been working on were saved on the hard drive...in my case I had them saved on the ext. HD. I highlighted the Event Folder and Project File separately, right clicked on each and moved them to trash. Remember-you are not deleting them by moving them to trash, just do NOT hit "Empty Trash". (If you drag somewhere else other than trash it will only create a copy and can take longer)
3. Followed John's advice above by going to User Library>Preferences folder and dragging the files named com.Apple.iMovie7.plist, and com.Apple.iMovie8.plist to my desktop. For me at this point I was able to open iMovie and navigate through my other events and projects. Space bar worked for sound and playback, viewer worked, iMovie running pretty efficiently.
4. I then went into my Trash folder, right clicked on the Events Folder and Project File separately and selected "Put Back" which places them right back in former location. I closed iMovie and re-opened.
What I found is that iMovie was not responding well because I had too many clips in one event folder. And with those same files now back in iMovie it will not take long for it to start acting funky. So I broke the event into 3 folders. While in iMovie I created 3 empty Event folders by clicking on File/new event (you might just need 2). I titled them Sports 1, Sports 2, Sports 3. Even though I still couldn't play or hear the Event clips/ project clips for this project, I was able to highlight approx 1/3 of the EVENT clips (not Project clips) by holding down the shift key and pointing the arrow/cursor across the appropriate clips. With the Sports Project back in iMovie, your Event folder should still show the green and orange highlights for your "favorite" and "imported" clips and should allow you to copy only those clips to the new, empty EVENT folders. Once I had highlighted and dragged the Event clips across 3 new event folders I was back to normal...can play, view, and hear all Event Clips and the Project clips. Best of all, I didn't have to re-start my project - of which I have spent a lot more than 12 hours on. I hope this helps someone. Thanks to all on this string for pointing me in the right direction. Have CS 5 Installed on my iMac and works ok. But installed on my new MacBook Pro it won't open NEF files from my Nikon D810. Displays NEF icons, but when I try and open them the response is: Make sure latest RAW updates are installed. If problem persists follow link: http://www.adobe.com/go/kb407111. Have installed Bridge 5.0.2.4; Raw Ref Version 7.0.0.308; DNG converter_8_7_1.dmg; Bridge 5.0.2 Update 2. Also same problem with Lightroom which I don't normally use. Lightroom_3_LS11_mac_3_6.dmg installed.
In the link you posted it states that the Nikon 810 requires ACR 8.6 or newer.
Version of ACR are specific to versions of Photoshop. You cannot use 8.6 nor even 7.0.in CS5.
I believe that ACR 6.7 is the latest that will work with CS5, so make sure you have this installed and get rid of ACR 7.
Having 2 versions of ACR will cause problems.
You have already downloaded DNG Converter 8.7.1.
Have you double clicked the DMG file to allow you to install DNG Converter on your computer?
Be aware that DNG converter is a stand-along application and not a plug-in.
You need to open DNG converter at select the FOLDER that contain your .NEF files.
Don't open the folder and try to select individual files, it doesn't work that way.
After converting your D810 files to DNGs you can then open the DNGs in CS5
The problem is your camera didn't exist when CS5 & its version of ACR was developed.
i don't use Lightroom, but the list mentions Lightroom 5.6 as needed to open D819 so your 3.6 version of LR won't cut it. -

Regarding your last sentence, if you're referring to AE and PPro files, that is true. But it is not true of Encore project files. -

I have Version 12 on a PC.
My friend has Version 12 on a MAC.
E-mailed him a file.
He could not open, and a message box popped up: "The project is not compatible with the current version of Premiere Elements".
Could someone kindly asssit, this does not make sense as to why it is not opening, since both computers are using the same version.

As said, you cannot open a Premiere Elements 12 Windows project file (named project.prel) in Premiere Elements 12 Mac. And vice versa.
Details
Given that your source is imported into a Premiere Elements 12 Windows project and placed on its Timeline for edit. That Timeline content cannot get out of the program without export. Export choices are found in the Publish+Share section of the program.
In your case, you want to take the Timeline content of Premiere Elements 12 Windows and export it to a format with which Premiere Elements 12 Mac supports (look at .mov or .mp4). In this regard, in Premiere Elements 12 Windows look at Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD and one of its .mp4 presets or Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime and one of its .mov presets (suggested H.264 video codec).
Those exports will be saved to the computer hard drive of the Windows computer. Then email the .mov or .mp4 file (beforehand, check the
email carrier's specification for that). Depending on the circumstances, you could transfer the file to a USB Flash Drive for the sharing.
Remember, sharing the .mov and .mp4 involves "whole" video. Depending on the edits, the video may need to be cut by the receipent. You are not dealing with the project file. The story would be different if this sharing and editing is done from Premiere Elements Windows to Premiere Elements Windows. And, if that were the case, then you would have to assure that the source media of the project traveled with the project file. (See Project Archiver feature of the program.)
That is a rough sketch of the situation. I can fine tune the details further if necessary.

Well, bad news for you: It's a goner. Simply write it off and re-create it and next time learn how to work safely.

Has the program ever opened to the Expert workspace or the Quick workspace?
Some of the typical drill questions:
1. Does the problem exist with and with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Do you have any other security programs
on your computer?
2. Are you running the program as Administrator in a home computer in contrast to a school or company network?
3. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements?
5. What video card/graphics card does your computer use and is the driver version up to date according to the
web site of the manufacturer of the card?
How far do you get...Welcome Screen, Video Editor, New Project or elsewhere? Any error messages?
Let us start here and then decide what next.

I am using version 3.6.10. Windows 7.
But I have had this problem for years.
Have the same result in a clean installation.

When creating a bookmark, you have the option to
1. add a KEYWORD, and
2.the option to check the box that says "load this bookmark in the sidebar."
If a bookmark has BOTH a keyword assigned to it AS WELL AS a checked box to "load this bookmark in the sidebar", then
1. it WILL NOT open in the sidebar when the keyword is entered in the locationbar.
2.It WILL open in the sidebar if you click on the bookmark directly from the bookmark menu, toolbar, or the like.
Is there any plan to fix this? Is there an extension to fix this? A patch to fix this?
It's kind of ridiculous that such a bug still exists.
more and more tech sites are advocating the time saving qualities of being able to load mobile and iphone sites in the sidebar - like gmail, google calendar, twitter, facebook chat, igoogle gadgets, widgets, meebo, and almost every other site either via it's mobile version or by converting an igoogle gadget or just using and iframe. it makes me nuts that I have to shove all my bookmarks that are sidebar-loading to be within view on the bookmark toolbar. help!Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

My hard drive crashed on my Mac Book Pro and I just had it replaced yesterday. After restoring my data, Safari will not open. The error message I continue to receive is "Safari quit unexpectedly" Should I just delete the application and download a new one?

I recently upgraded from an iPad 1 to an Air. One of its main uses is to avoid printing volumes of papers for meetings, so the abilty to open attachments with mail is pretty important.
There are some attachments that will not open in the mail application on an iPad Air. Some in the same format do (docx). They do open in Mail on my MacBook, and iPad1, or if I go to webmail on any device including a Blackberry, so it is not a file corruption problem. The problem persists on different networks. Other emails from the same sender do work. It seems to be specifically related to IOS 7 or the Mail app. Quickview won't work, nor will opening with a range of Apps which report a file error.
There was an historical problem with Apple garbling pdf files, but this is a new one on me.
All this is a shame because it is opening emails in attachments that was one of my main reasons for buying an Air.
Does anyone know of the cause? A solution?What about a work-around?
Ios 7.1 etc. has a problem with communicating with exchange. There are lots of reports of problems with pdf files.

Numbers does not open with the main user after installing mountain lion. It works flawlessly when I use the second account on my mac. What got corrupted in the admin-account, something in the user-library? How can I fix it? I´m kinda desperate... (the same happens with the other iWork-Apps!)
Looking forward to hearing from somebody with a littlemore expertise than me, Chrisyou can remove preferences files by navigating to the Preferences folder for your user as follows:
0) Quit ALL iWork apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers)
1) from the Finder select the menu item "Go > Go To Folder…". This will bring up a dialog:
2) enter the path "~/Library/Preferences" (no double quotes)
3) find the files:
com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
and move these to the trash. I would NOT empty until later.
4) restart Numbers -
