Dear Dina,
I have installed Project Billing, Project Costing and Project Manufacturing module in stand alone PC.Now I want to start the entering the new Project Part-I and Part-II.How should I proceed the same.Please help me in details step by step process by examples.
(Part-I) For example I have a project to enter, the below are agreements with customer.
1) Engeering Drawing Charges- A Amount
2) Material Supply- B Amount
3) Civil Work at Site- C Amount
4) Fabrication at Site- D Amount
5) Erection at Site- E Amount
6) Installation at Site - F Amount
(Part-II) Now we have sub contract the above work to diffrent sub contractor as below
1) Civil Work at Site to Sub Contractor with - G Amount
2) Fabrication at Site to Sub Contractor with - H Amount
3) Erection at Site to Sub Contractor with - I Amount

Hi
Setting up a project and its WBS (list of tasks) depends on the agreement with the customer but also on the company managerial requirements for setting work plans and tracking actual costs.
Assuming the company wants to plan and track project execution the same way as the commercial agreement with customer dictates, then you can setup a separate top task for each one of the commercial agreement lines. change project status to approve/active.
After setting up the project, enter the agreement and allocate funds to each one of the top tasks. The fund allocation amount should equal the contract line amount. Baseline the funding.
You might need to enter cost budget as well. Set up to budget at top task level, using a resource list, and then hit details to start entering the amount of each resource on each one of the tasks.

You are ready to start project execution.
In Purchasing enter a purchase order for you sub contractor. The PO will have three lines of type service. The line amounts are as described in your post.
