Project folder list not sorted!
Hi,
I've just downloaded and installed SunStudio 12 on Linux x86. Then I created a new C++ project from existing code pointing SunStudio at my project's source folder which contains many subfolders. Everything went fine except that the list of project folders in the "Projects" tab is not sorted alphabetically. Is there an option to make the folder list appear sorted?

My openSUSE 10.2 system uses "LANG=en_GB.UTF-8" throughout.
Folder names are simple things containing only ASCII characters like "libxyz" and "libabc", etc
BTW, I've also reproduced this issue on several openSUSE 10.2 systems used by my colleagues.

Managed Content Folder Pagelet: Can Sub-folder list be sorted?

It seems that even prefixing the names of folders with numbers cannot influence the random arrangement of folder names. Is it possible to sort these for Interaction Hub 9.1 ?
The image below is of a homepage pagelet that was generated with the Pagelet Wizard for the type 'Managed Content Folder.' Note that when viewed from the managed content 'Browse Folder' these sub-folders do appear in order 1 through 8.Is the content of the pagelet a navigation collection?
I have seen that in a navigation collection we can specify the order using the 'Placement in Folder' drop down.
I am assuming these options should be similar for Interaction Hub 9.1 as well? Let us know if this was useful or if you are still running into issues. Thanks! -
Imovie project folder will not open in toast titanium

Just purchased a Lacie external dvd burner. I am trying to add my imovie project to my 1st dvd burn. When I try and open the imovie project folder none of my projects are highlighted and I can't pick them. Any suggestions?What do I have to do now?
Find out what the "unsupported" format is and convert it to one that is supported if you can. (I.e., open the file in QT Player if it will open and check the "Format:" information line in the "Inspector" window to see what audio and video compression formats are contained in the file. If the file will not open in the QT Player, then check the Finder "Get Info" window to see what it says about the file contents. -
Print Completed list not sorted correctly
When I try to check the Completed list, it seems to be sorted numerically instead of by date. For example if I sort for most recent printouts first I get:

Where are you getting this list from, or how are you generating it?
First, you'd have to give the Month & Days a 2 digit number... a zero before a 1 digit date.
How I'd do it is with Tex-Edit Plus...

CONTACTS 'Custom Label' list not sorted alphabetically ? ? ?
In both I/OS 6 & 7 the 'Custom Labels' I created to more accurately identify new Contact phone number I enter, that list is no longer sorted alphabetically (like it use to be in previous operating systems for my iPhone 5). Does anybody know a work-around?
No way to move any buttons in iOS devices.

Pro cc expired project folder does not open in licensed cs6 purchase, any solution?
I licensed my software of c56, but now cannot use the project from Premiere cc... do I have to start over?
If you know someone with PPRO CC or have another computer where you can install the trial, then you can export the CC project to FCP XML, which you can then load in CS6.

I have had my MBP for just over 3 months now! Yes, I made the switch and up until now I have been quite happy.
I now have my Time Capsule, Apple TV running and am generally getting used to life as a Mac user.............even bought Aperture and loaded all the family photos. Now time to make some Travel movies.
I have been working on a particular IMovie project for a few weeks now. Size is 365MB. Yesterday I closed IMovie and when accessing later that project is not available in the Project Library window. It does appear in the IMovie Projects folder but I cannot open it. I have copied the file to DVD just in case. All up I have 4 Projects, the other 3 are practice files, smaller but they do appear in the Project Library.
I have scoured the bulletin boards and tried many suggested fixes to no avail. Main suggestion was to remove the following files from Library/Preferences
com.apple.iMovieApp.plist
com.apple.iApps.plist
However, this did not sort out my problem. In the end I put back the original files.
Does anyone have a straightforward fix for my problem or is this one of those ongoing issues that that needs Apple's attention.
After all the file is there with the others. They are available.
I realise that I can restore from Time Capsule but I am missing the last three days thanks to 'drop out'.

You can report the problem by providing feedback to Apple. In the iMovie app, from the menu select iMovie > Provide iMovie Feedback. This will take you to an Apple page where you can complete a form and submit it to Apple.
The fix for this will probably turn out to be simple/easy.....................so why doesn't Apple comment and/or address it????
Other than the forum moderators, Apple doesn't normally monitor these forums, nor make comments on posts. So, it's up to us to report the problem to them directly (using the feedback form mentioned above).
As the problem has affected me just the one time (touch wood), I haven't bothered to report it as yet. But, after seeing your posts on this, I'm now reconsidering that. Something must be triggering it. My system is in pretty good shape, so I'm guessing it must be a glitch of some sort, either in Mountain Lion or in the iMovie app itself. Perhaps it's a 3rd party app causing the problem? It doesn't give us much confidence now, in that we may start worrying about losing other projects.
A good practice is to duplicate the project from time to time (something I'll be doing more of), although Time Machine backups also provide the necessary security. To duplicate, in Project Library view (where all the projects are listed) click on the project name so that it is highlighted, then select File > Duplicate Project. Alternatively, right-click (or Control-click) on the project name and select Duplicate Project from the pop-up menu. Of course, you may already know this. Duplicating probably won't guarantee that the copy will not also disappear from the Project Library, but is worth doing anyway.
As I mentioned in the post I linked to earlier, when the problem arose with my iMovie project I was using ProRes 422 clips I had imported from a Final Cut Pro X Event. My immediate thought was that ProRes 422 had caused the problem. But this of course may have been coincidental - reinforced now by your experience, where you are probably working with Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) clips.
Anyway, glad to hear that you've recovered your project through Time Machine. Unfortunately, I had to start from scratch as I had Time Machine turned off during my editing sessions (that's a story for another day).

How Can I put an Artists Live Albums in a separate folder, so they sort by "Concert Date" in iTunes and do not "intermingle" so to speak with Studio Albums? Is this possible?
That is about the best way I can phrase my question.
I put year/month/date at the beginning of a show, hoping for them to sort by date and I get mixed results.
Would creating a Folder within the Artists' existing folder that said "Pearl Jam Live", inside the "Pearl Jam" folder in iTunes Media help this "Date Sorting Issue"?

you do not move the masters into a references library - you turn your current library into a referenced library. As Terence Devlin said:
File -> Relocate Masters
What you should set up:
Select a folder, where you want to store your referenced files - probably on an external drive.
Decide on a hierarchical folder structure inside this folder - that is completely up to you.
Select a project from your library and use the command "File -> Relocate Masters/Originals" to move the original image files to the folder where you want to go them to. Only take care not to send two projects to the same folder.
Alternatively, if you do not care about the folder structure Aperture will use, select all images at once from the "Photos" view and let Aperture decide how to assing the folders - in the "Relocate Originals" dialoge you can specify a subfolder format.

Images folder in Robohelp 7 project only lists a small fraction of the images actually there
I added an image to a topic. The image had an identical name to an existing image in the project. The image appeared in my main project folder, which is where all images initially show up in my project. I then move them to an images folder. I moved this image, expecting to get a message asking if I wanted to replace the exsting image with the same name. i wanted to update all instances where this image appears. Instead I got a message that this file was in use and could not be replaced. I clicked on my images folder to see if the original image was in a topic that was open and maybe that was why it would not overwrite. At this point i noticed most of the images in the folder were not listed.
I can use Reports Used and I see all the files that are supposed to be in my images folder, but when I go to the Images Reports tab, only the files that are listed in my images folder in the Project Manager are shown. So Robohelp knows the files are in the images folder and that they are in use, but it does not recognize them as images and will not list them as such.
i have no idea how this happened or how to fix it.If RoboHelp allowed you to replace the image and it were a different size, you could have problems in the existing topics. I suspect that is why it is not allowed to replace it in that way.
As far as "missing" images are concerned, try renaming the folder to say Images2. They will likely all appear and then you can revert the name.

I have several PDFs in Baggage Files that are linked to topics in the Table of Contents. When I generate the CHM file and 'View Results' I am able to pull up/access the PDFs with no problem. When I go into the project folder and just double-click on the CHM file, I cannot pull up/access any of the PDFs nor can I access them in the product help. Any ideas? Is a setting "off" somewhere in my project?
I am using RoboHelp 10.

Well, first off, even though it would be WebHelp, it would be inside a CHM container. So for all intents and purposes it would be a CHM file. But having said that, I'm not sure there is a way to merge these hybrid types of CHM files.
If your statement about Adobe fixing the issue is meaning that they can either remove the Print icon from the CHM Viewer, I wouldn't hold my breath because as I said, that's in Microsoft's lap and they haven't updated the CHM viewer in a long while. Doubtful they ever will.
The only hope would then be for Adobe to update the code used for the Mini TOC. The only way that will happen is if enough folks submit this as a bug via the following link:

Until that would happen, your likely best bet is to simply avoid using the Mini-TOC feature or just insert a warning that if the topic is printed, it will cause issues. Or, you could use bookmarks and links to establish your own verision of a "Mini-TOC"

New folder is not visible inside my project but shows in Windows Explorer.
I created a new folder under another folder. The new folder is not visible inside my project but shows in Windows Explorer. Also, if I try to add another folder of that same name, it denies the action since the folder (although invisible) already exists. My co-worker can access the same file (on a share drive) and see the new folder just fine. This error occurs whether I was the one creating the new folder or she is the one creating the new folder. I am new to RoboHelp and she has used it for years. I suspect something is not yet set up right on my side. Ideas? (I thought I posted this yesterday but I can't find it anywhere)

is there a way to address email (i.e. a word or some code) that would place that email in a specified inbox folder? not using internal rule, rather the beginning of this sort happening as it comes in?
In other words
I tell a friend if he is emailing me on a particular subject, is there something he can do at his end ([email protected]/research)
like adding the word research at the end of my eamil address that would tell my inbox to place that in the inbox/research folder?
If I have to use a rule on my end, then do I tell him to just place the word research in the subjct line and then I write a rule to place anything with the word research in the subject line in my inbox/research folder?
will the subject line be required to only have the one word research to work, or will the rule look for any presense of that word in the subject line?

So your friend could just add '+research' to the username part of your email address, and you setup a rule at icloud.com to put all emails sent to that address into a particular folder.
For example:

Try creating a new Flex project and dragging the files from
the zip into the
src folder. You may find that you need to rearrange things a
bit, depending
on how they set up the project, but this should get you
started.

Robohelp 9 - Entire project folder of articles not publishing in Webhelp
This is a little convoluted.
I am running Adobe Robohelp 9.0.2. I have a project that has been working well until today. The HTML files are divided into folders. I added a simple snippet to one article in each folder. I published to Webhelp.
At first, I noticed that all the articles in one folder (which start with the same name [IACH]) are missing from search results. All other files in the project itself are working in search without difficulty, but this one entire folder was missing from search, but ALL of the articles from that folder were available via the Table of Contents. I also noticed that the snippet wasn't publishing on the one article in that folder that I'd put it on - though it appears in the article in Robohelp. At that point, I toggled to the Snippets module and my snippet list is blank. Though the snippet files are still in the actual project folder, they don't appear in the module anymore.
I thought that the snippet being on that one article might be the issue, so I converted it to HTML text and published again. Now? Now all the file names appear in the ToC, but I can't open any of them AND they still don't appear in search.
It looks like somehow this one, single sentence snippet has done severe damage to my project.
Any ideas?All very weird but I doubt your project is broken. I see no connection between adding a snippet and search going awry.
First you can simply right click in the Snippet pod and import the snippet back into the project.
Then I would close Rh and trash the CPD file. Reopen the project and regenerate the help making sure you hadn't accidentally changed anything in the Search settings.

Template does not appear in project folder
Hi
My template has disappeared from my project. Therefore, I
have tried reimporting the template to the 'Templates' folder in
the project folder. When I do this, I do not get an error message.
But the *.htt file does not appear in the 'Templates' folder and I
cannot attach it to help texts?? When I open my file manager I can,
however, see that the *.htt file is indeed placed in the current
project. Can anybody help?

LenaYep! These forums are littered with problems caused by
working over a network. RH is essentially an Access DB and this has
well documented problems with networks. Work off your hard drive
and back up to your network each night. That's works for me. Try
importing your template once you've copied your project to your PC
and come back if you still have problems. You may have to recreate
your template as it is not impossible that the .HTT file has become
corrupted.
