Project in two languages.

Hello, I have a help project to produce in two languages
(English and french), I have two files with each version to be
imported into my help project. Is it possible in a single file CHM
display my help in English or french whichever is ask or I must
make two different CHM file for each language!

I don't work with other languages but I believe you will need
two projects. Whilst you could use build tags for most content, the
stumbling block will be Topic Titles (not Topic Headings).
There are some recent posts on working with multiple
languages so take a look at those.

i am building a vertical site, if you click on a tab it scrolls to that page using tags. So far so good. But now comes the part I am busting my brain over. This site has a dutch (main) version and an english version (the english version is not created yet). How do I make an english version inside this project? So when people click on the english button they will be directed to the english version of the site. Or do I make two different projects and link the language button to it. But how do I do this?
Creating a b-master does not allow me to edit the menu or text...so I cannot change the menu text into english...

I have created 2 websites one is in english and the other in russian how can i link these 2 so that on each page you can choose to read the page in russian or english??? like how do i put the two language flag toggles?

On each of the English pages add a Russian flag and link that flag to the Russian equivalent page with the Inspector/Link/Hyperlind pane.
On each of the Russian pages add a US or British flag and link that flag to the equivalent English page.

I have been editing project for two weeks and now I get ghosts of other images fromt eh project coming up in the wrong places even though the thumbnail looks right. Help.

Help. I have been editing a project for two weeks and now it gets ghosts of ohter images from the project coming up in the wrong places. The thumbnail has the correct image but the image either does not display and its black or an old image or another one shows.

When I have problems like this I do two things. First I shut down and restart iMovie. Sometimes that rejuggles the date. But I am sure you have been doing that in such a long project.
The Second thing I do is delete iMovie preferences, which can get corrupted.

WebDynpro for java project - with 2 languages

I have WD project with 2 languages(xlf translation) :English and Hebrew.
The project have one Application.
I want to create Role with 2 iViews : The first one with The application in Hebrew and the second one the application in English,
the differences between the iviews is in the "Logon Language" iview property, the first one set to Hebrew the Second one to English.
My problem is that if i navigate to the Hebrew iview ...the English iview is shown in Hebrew to,
After logoff/login If i navigate to the English iview the Hebrew iview is shown in English to,
Any suggestions how to use 2 iviews of the same application in a diffrent language ???

Hi F.F.,
if you use the Web Dynpro in the Portal, the application is not change the language if you has start the application on time.
You must close the portal (all browser sessions) and start the application in the new language.
If you want to try that without the portal you can load the application direct, means the link you got if you deploy it and select run.
At the end of the url please add sap-locale=<locale> sap-locale=EN or sap-locale=HE than you will see the translations.
That the language switch is not supported in the Portal is bug since 2006. You must start the login with the new language. Only than it will work.

Column header in two language not shown correctly

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to create a template with column headers in two language(english-arabic). i created the template in xmlpublisher desktop and get the translation from google translate and paste it under the english word. The correct translation is shown when i pasted it but in the preview special characters are seen instead of the translation. Please help me solve this. examples are below:
in the rtf:

What should i do to reflect the exact translation.

This issue was solved....
I just use printscreen and mspaint then treat each translation as picture, cut each translation and pasted it on my original template.

Split Project in two Projects

In one of my projects there are about 2000 pics made in two different countries. Because in Places view I always see both countries on the map, I decided to split the Project in two Projects - one for each country. How can I do this without losing the Places assignments? Thanks!

Each Image in your Library carries its own Places assignment. You can move any Image into any Project and it will retain its specific Places information.
All you need to do is select all of the Images you want to put in your new Project, and "File→New→Project" w. "Move selected items to new project" checked.
There are several ways to select the Images for just one or your two countries. If you need suggestions, post back (the best way depends a bit on your use of Places and other metadata).
Generally, users have found Aperture works better with Projects kept to fewer than 1,000 Images. This was the case when 3.0 first came out -- I haven't tested any later versions, as I stick with the generally recommended "One Project for each out-in-the-world Shoot" and I rarely bring back more than 500 exposures per shoot.
(For what it's worth -- the human world had a very different level of material sophistication -- Ansel Adams took 12 plates with him for a day's shooting expedition in Yosemite. Twelve shots for the day, including mis-takes.)

Dividing a project into two projects

How do I divide my project into two projects so that I can burn it to a DVD? I have 2hrs 40 mins and this is too long. thanks!

Go to the Project Library View and select your project.
Then FILE/DUPLICATE PROJECT and give the duplicate a name like "your name - part 1".
Then duplicate it again and give the duplicate a name like "your name - part 2"
Now you can open "part 1" as a project and delete everything that is in part 2.
Open "part 2" as a project and delete everything that is in part 1.

Using IWeb to publish a site in two languages

I have used IWeb successfully to create my new website and am using mobileme as the domain provider. I want to produce this website in two languages, ideally having a 'button' to press where you can choose your language option if the site appears in a language you cannot read (ie it is published firstly in indonesian language but there are people who want to access it in english).
Does anyone have nay experience / ideas about this?

WD2013 shows dialog with words from two languages (and badly worded message) when notifying of an editing conflict when saving to SharePoint

during testing of a solution för Office/SharePoint we noticed that the dialog that warns that an editing (change) conflict has occured at saving, contains words from both swedish (the version we use) and english. (The sw grammar is abysmal btw.) Does any
of you know if that is a localization bug that has been corrected in some patch ?

Is there two language packs installed on your PC?
First, you can try to repair Office 2013 from Control Panel > Programs and Features >Office > Change > Repair. Then make sure that Office and Windows are up-to-date.

Error Message to be displayed in Two Languages

I am writing my code in an User Exit. My requirement is that when ever an error message is displayed it should be displayed in Two languages i.e in English and Portuguese.
Can I do this... if yes then how.

1) Translate your message into the language you want. (like 'hi!' is 'oi!！' in portugese) use google language tools.
2) Put it in same message in a message class.
3) just display the msg.
MESSAGE E000(ZTEST_MSG_SUMIT). " in ZTEST_MSG_SUMIT msg class write the error/wrng in both lauguages.

Display the webdynpro screen in two languages?

NOTE: you cannot switch the session locale of a running Web Dynpro Java application in the same browser window. The only solution is to start a new Web Dynpro application "from scratch" by executing a new browser instance NOT "browser window" instance. So with Browser -> File menu -> new window you will keep the same session locale even when passing another locale-parameter with the URL-param sap-locale. Sorry, but this is an unsolved restriction in Web Dynpro.
