Project Info data

Hi:
Two things:
1. I need to add a copyright legend to a manual, I though in putting it into the Info section of the Preference window, but the space is too small for it, is there a way to specify more characters for that field?. Then I change it to the Description field but it does not appear in the window.
2. How can I make increase the info window width, because the Company's name is too long and the user need to use the scrollbars to see it complete.

Hi there
The window may be hijacked and modified. But not from inside Captivate. You will need to export it to Flash and do it there.
* If you have Flash handy
* AND you know how to use it
I've seen it done but can't tell you how as I'm not "Flash Savvy" quite yet.
If you aren't Flash capable, Configuring a slide is probably your best bet. You might even want to create a Rollover Image or Caption or even a Slidelet to do that. You would then simply either configure it to display for the duration of the project or on each slide.

  • Sorting projects by date for syncing

    I'm a new Aperture user and have recently imported a few years worth of iPhoto pictures. Everything went smoothly and I am really enjoying Aperture. I do, however, have one concern - syncing with iTunes. With iPhoto I could have the last 12 months events synced with my iPad and iPhone. This automatically changed as time passed so I always had the last 12 months of photos with me. But with Aperture if I select all projects from the last year, or month for that matter, ALL projects are selected. I assume this is because Aperture sees the projects as all newly created because of the recent import. But when I check the project properties the correct range of dates is listed.
    Is there any way, other than manually sorting, to have Aperture sync projects like iPhoto did albums?

    I've experienced the exact same issue when I moved from iPhoto to Aperture last month. Here are the steps to recreate:
    1. Import your iPhoto library to Aperture, copying the photos into Aperture itself
    2. Open iTunes and attach your iOS device
    3. Go to your iOS device in iTunes and click on the "Photos" tab
    4. Check "Selected projects, albums and faces", and select "projects from the last 6 months"
    What should be included are projects with photos from the last 6 months. However, since the Aperture import created all new projects for each Event it imported from iPhoto, iTunes sees all projects as being from the last 6 months.
    I've rebuilt the Aperture library by holding Option+Command when opening Aperture, that didn't work. I even wrote a script to manually fix the project dates in ApertureData.xml using the dates from iPhoto. While that works temporarily, opening Aperture eventually overwrites the project dates with the incorrect recent ones.
    There is no way inside Aperture that I can find to change a project's creation date. The only thing close is right clicking on a project and clicking "Project Info". If I do that, they show the correct dates (i.e. photos from 1972 have a project date of 1972).
    This problem is seriously annoying and makes syncing photos to my iPhone essentially impossible without manually selecting albums. Apple, any input here is appreciated!

    Is there a way to edit the Project Info PDP on Project 2010 in the following manner?  I would like to add an explanatory description under the "Start Date"  when a new project (EPT) is initiated in PWA.

    Depending on how critical this need is, you could also consider using Javascript to add these decriptions. Here is an article that shows how to do it:

  • Project & WBS data

    Hi All,
    I have project & WBS data in my Datasource. I have checked using RSA3 for a Datasource, and i c that the Project and Wbs data appear exactly as the Table Data like
    For Ex: Refer this Record values for WBS and Project respectuvely.
    (WBS)P000254A1 and P000254(Project).
    But when i replicate this Datasource in BW,,these above said values change to (WBS)1463 and 316(Project)
    Y is this change involved when the Datasource in R.3 shows correct Data but while In BW it shows Something Else,,
    Please Help on this Issue.

    Sorry for the delay In reply!!
    Im Checking the data in BI at PSA level.I just replicated the datasource then scheduled the infopak to DS to see it.
    The DS is a Zdatasource which is made thru a Ztable. The table & ZDS in R//3 contains correct P******(WBS) and P****(project) data's,,but y is it wrong in BI??
    Is there any conversion exits!!,,,Bcoz,project number starts vth P****** but earlier in my Ztable it was showing the same numerics which is as of now in BI,,So i checked on the SEttingsUserparameterthen Check on conversion exit Box,Then finally the Data gt changed to P********.So is there any technique like this in BI??

  • Can't Open "Project Info"

    I am unable to access PROJECT INFO (command-I). Whenever I try to open PROJECT INFO, iDVD crashes and dumps me out to the Finder. I was able to access PROJECT INFO until a week ago. All other aspects of iDVD seem to be working properly.
    I have tried creating new projects and have had the same problem.
    I have deleted the iDVD & imovie preferences from the user perference folder AND boot disk Library (I have two physical drives). Rebuilt permissions. Also have erased iDVD & iMovie apps & reinstalled iLife '06 suite from master install disc and performed all of the current software updates.
    I am running iDVD 6.0.3 (791)
    Any suggestions?

  • Error in Loading Project master Data into BW from R3

    Hi Experts,
    Actually I am trying to load Project Master Data from R3 to BW through a BW Process chain, Its a daily activity which we are performing since long time.
    But since last 2 days loading is getting failed with an error in ST22 in source system (R3):

    What happened?
         Error in the ABAP Application Program
         The current ABAP program "CL_CGPL_TASK==================CP" had to be
          terminated because it has
         come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    Error analysis
        An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
        The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
         caught in
        procedure "PREPARE_FOR_RELOAD" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
         clause.
        Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
        exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
        The reason for the exception is:
        You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
        access a component (variable: "ME->OUTLINE_PARENT").
        An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
        before it can be used to access components.
        Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
        CLEAR statement.
    I tried to reload the data but no help, I am not sure how to reolve this issue, I also contacted to BASIS even they are not aware of this error.
    I am seeking help from you guys.

    The original image files are missing form your iPhoto library or iPhoto cannot find them, because the link to the originals has been broken. The image info is stored in the internal libraries, independent of the original files. That is, why you are still seeing them.
    I restored the whole library from my backup.
    Try restoring from an older backup, from before you first noticed the problem. 
    How large is the library, that you restored? Is the file size large enough to hold all your photos, or has the size been reduced?  If the library is still large, the photos may still be inside, even if iPhoto cannot find them.
    It's says that file does not exist. How come?
    What happened, before your iPhoto library got deleted? Which applications have you been running, or which new software have installed or upgraded?  Have you moved the library to a different disk or tried to use it from different user account or access it over the network?

  • How does the project expiry date work?

    I am looking to buy Captivate. But I first need to know how the project expiry date works.
    I am currently producing a short course for a company in my area, but our agreement is that they get to use the short course for a period of 3 months. If I create the short course in Captivate, will I be able to set an expiry date on the project? For example, person A buys my short course. After 3 months (or however long) the course expires and he will no longer be able to open the short course. Is this what the expiry function does?
    Also, does the expiry function work even if the project is copied from one hard drive to another? For example, if someone makes a duplicate of the project onto a friend's hdd, will both projects still expire after 3 months?

    I have been a Articulate Storyline users for several years now and am new on the Captivate forum. Someone told me that Captivate can set an expiry date on the course content after being downloaded on an iPad for offline viewing (so without an LMS). In Articulate SL this is not possible unfortunately although a feature request has been made by quit a few. Situation is that I deliver course content to clients operating in remote areas (shipping). It is essential for me to have this feature and will seriously consider changing over to Captivate if this is true.
    Could anyone help me out on this one?

  • IDVD project info doesnt show content and wont burn properly

    I am using iDVD 6 on a macbook. have successfully burned DVD's using iDVD in the past and now here is the deal I cant resolve. My imovie is first in DVD map and it is looped. It plays fine when played from this and other locations. I go to project info and it is .8GB for a 26 minute video on the DVD capacity.(which doesnt seem right.) When I burn it, it goes thru the paces and kicks out the DVD and it says current operation-done. In previous projects it has asked me if I would like to burn another copy. I press cancel and it says "cleaning up" and I end up force quitting iDVD. What am I doing wrong this time. i aprreciate any help, im racking my brain for hours. Thanks.

  • Can "File Info" data be deleted?

    Hello,
    Currently using FM11 and creating unstructured documents.  We make custom types of equipment and tend to start a new document from a previous version.  We'd like to delete the previous "File Info" data and update with current data for the new document.  We delete the "File Info" data and save the document, but when reopened, the data is still there.

    Is this a book, or a single FM document file?
    If a book, make sure you delete file info in the Book dialog, and just for good measure, if leaving empty, also make sure all of the component files have no File Info. I haven't tested it, but it wouldn't surprise me if FM uses the first-found when building the PDFinfo.
    In our release process, we routinely process the PDFs in Acrobat Pro, Examine Document, and let it remove (only) Metadata and File Attachements (since it's buggy on everthing else). Removing Metadata deletes almost all of the PDFInfo (FM File Info).
    We end up pasting the desired values back in, so that search engines can find our stuff. Some search engines may only index PDFinfo, either because that's all they do, or because that may be the only plaintext available if you have certain security settings.
    I suspect Google indexes everything, as long as it can open the PDF at all, even if it needs to OCR the whole thing.
    Attention Authors: on the Windows platform, your user/login name is often written to the PDFinfo by default. This is either a benefit or a hazard. If it's a benefit, it's not my problem .

  • FCP project creation date

    Hi all,
    1 have an installation with three MDC Xserves (10.6.2) ,8 Mac Pro clients ( 10.5.8 ) with XSAN 2.2.1 and Open Directory .
    The MAC pro clients have Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 installed.
    When we modify a project in FCP and save it then the creation date of the file changes to the modification date. This behavior happens only in the XSAN volumes and only for the FCP projects, if we create a text file , edit it and then save it the modification date changes but the creation date is not affected .

    It seems the created date not stored in Project object in TFS API. To get team project created date automatically, you can query the date from
    [Tfs_DefaultCollection].[dbo].[tbl_projects]
    table>> [last_update]field use coding.

  • Update SharePoint list with project finish date on Project.Updated event

    Hello,
    I want to update a column in a SharePoint list with the project finish date when a project is updated on Project Server. My OnUpdated event handler is being called ok, but if I change the project start date Project Server runs an asynchronous republishing
    on the project, and my event handler ends up being called before the finish date is update by the republishing job, so the code writes the "old" finish date on the SharePoint list. The solutions I could think of are:
    Identify the republishing job on Project Server queue, pool the queue waiting for it to finish, then read the finish date and update the list item in SharePoint.
    Include a custom job on Project Server queue after the republishing job, that reads the finish date and update the list item in SharePoint.
    I don't know if any of the solutions are feasible and how to implement them. Has anyone coded something like this and/or have a better solution?

  • Unable to Change Project Start Date in Project Server 2013

    Dear All,
    I have created new EPT in Project Server 2013. After that, when i am creating any new project in PWA 2013 by using newly created EPT, then i am not able to change Date as per my requirement. 
    Basically, EPT created on 02/18/2015 & even though i am changing Project start date then its again showing same date (02/18/2015)
    Kindly suggest what i can do.

    Does this new EPT have a project plan template associated? What happens if you set the EPT not to have a plan template then create a new project from this EPT? Does that let you update the start date? The start date should default to today (date the project
    plan was created). If that works as expected, add the plan template back to the EPT (if you had one to start with) and test creating another project to see if that then works or you then get the same behaviour. This will point us to the cause hopefully.
    Do other EPTs work as expected?
