In my business scanerio, i have an project in which there is sub- activity( eg planing, designing, testing etc. all are service activity) my resouces ( employee in service project) will be allocated in subactivity level & their invoice should be raise at the top level.
Do i need to create network profile /network. pls tel me the each t-code & step one b one.
Pls. suggest me how to proceed.

You want to collect cost at network header level ???
If so then,
Maintain network type in OPSC.
Maintain parameters in OPUV and donot select "activity acct assignment" check box.
Create netwok profile in OPUU and maintain netwok type in this and complete the required parameters in other tabs also.

Customer Enhancement in Project Network Activity

Hi Gurus,
I add a new subscreen in project network activity(cj20n). I use the structure CI_AFVU as field structure.
It contains two fields 1) CI_AFVU-ZZSALES_DOC
2) CI_AFVU-ZZSALES_ITEM.
The exit is CNEX0008 in which I have two function exit for PBO and PAI for that subscreen.
EXIT_SAPLCONW_002 for PBO
and EXIT_SAPLCONW_003 for PAI.
My problem is in PAI I am not able to import data from screen. I use the following code:
CNCI_AFVU_EXP-zzSALES_DOC = CI_AFVU-zzsales_doc.
CNCI_AFVU_EXP-zzSALES_ITEM = CI_AFVU-zzsales_item.
and one more thing is that Different Activity takes the same Value in both the customer fields which should be different. Although in debugging mode CI_AFVU display the values, but when I am trying the above code it give me a compile time error 'Field "CI_AFVU-ZZSALES_DOC" is unknown. It is neither in one of thespecified tables nor defined by a "DATA" statement . . . . . . . . . .'
I need a solution for that, Pls help.

How to delete Open/WIP Projects/Network Orders/WBSes using program PSARCHP1

Hi,
We have multiple open or WIP projects/Network orders. Program PSARCHP1 is used for this purpose. Can anybody suggest how to delete all these projects/networks that are open/WIP.

I think it's not possible to remove for the data base in sap. However you can delete the records for the tables which is not suggetable. which server do you want to do this??
if developement yes you can delete the table records.
As per my experiance we should not delete the table records because it's linked many tables and diff modules in sap.

SD PS Integration: How to copy material text in Project Network?

Hi
We are creating project from contract where every material from contract creates a Network/ activity in project. The requirement is to pull material text in Network. Does it require user exit because I was unable to find any thing in configuration? If this is correct then how can I apply user exit here?

this is not standard SAP and hence exit needs to be looked at or some development or exit on substitution to replace the text from material

How to upload and download Long text for WBS, Project, Network

Hi all,
I have two isssues.
1) I am extracting Projects, WBS , Network , Network activity and network activity element from a SAP 4.7 system using bapi's
BAPI_PROJECTDEF_GETDETAIL
BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO
BAPI_NETWORK_GETINFO
BAPI_BUS2054_GETDATA
I am able to get all the details except long text. I want to know how do i extract the long text other than getting it manually by using select_text and Read_text Function module, is there any bapi to achieve this.
The reason why i am not using Function modules Read_text and Write_text is, object name( TDNAME ) value stored in STXH table for project, wbs and network are the project, wbs and network itself so i dont have any issues with this but the TDname value for activity and activity element are completely different ( Routing number and counter is stored respectively ) which i am not getting as the part of the bapi(BAPI_NETWORK_GETINFO) output.
2) I have to upload the extracted Project and it sub object data to ECC 6.0 system , i am able to achieve this by using BAPI's BAPI_PROJECTDET_CREATE, BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN and BAPI_NETWORK_MAINTAIN. I am not able to load the longtext for the same, is there any way to load the long text .
All help will be greatly appreciated and rewarded.

Delete project/network from assembly processing

Hi'
We have a situation where we have created a contract line item with an assembly material = we have a project and network created.
But - the material is wrong and we want to delete the contract line item and create a new line item with another assembly material.
I know it is possible to delete the line item - but the project is still not deleted and it is not possible to create a new line item.
I cannot delete the project because it has connection to contract line item (but I can delete the line item anyway - strange but true).
How can I solve this problem in the contract?

When I delete the line item, the Network are marked as deleted - but not the WBS-elements.
If I try to create the new line item after deletion of the old, I get this error message:
"Project TM-40102872 is allocated to standard WBS TM-00000008."
The material I want to add at the new line item is connectec with standard WBS TM-00000009 (another standard project and WBS)
Then Im asked to enter WBS acct. assng an billing WBS. I can choose from existing operative (not templates/standard WBS)
After this input I get an error:
"Error when processing Network
Message no. V1380"
I can only choose "Exit" and I leave VA42 without any changes
I have tried to mark the old WBS-elements with status deletion flag - and the old Project Definition the same. But I still get the same error messages.
I need to be able to deleted the old project completely.
I cannot delete the old Project/WBS because the network is allocated to them.
I cannot remove the allocation between network and WBS (no changes are possible because the network still have connection to a deleted line item).
Im feel Im in a deadlock

Workflow based on project/network updates

Dear experts,
i need to trigger a workflow from 2 events in the project:
- Change of status (release + user status)
- Assignement of an employee in the person assignmemt tab of a network activity
Does anybody know which user exit or function i couls use for that?

to do this you have to map your user status in T-code BSVW with BUS2054 (BOR of WBS).
for your second requierment please rey using BOR AFVC_NETW for network activity i am not sure it will work not please chek if your workflow get trigger then fine.

ME51N - PR against Project Network not yet released

It appears that its possible to create a PR against a Network and an Activity for a Project that has not been released using ME51N. (PR with account assignment N Network and Activity)
However in MIGO you are not allowed to receive the parts ordered as long as the Project has not been released (makes sense).
Is there an easy way of preventing the creation of PRs against Networks that has not been released yet?
(In Project material demands registered as PRs will not be released into the system before the Project is released.. so it may look like there is some kind of inconsistency here)
Any ideas?

Rename a Project Network ID

We have a project that has the Network assigned with the wrong network Identification.How to rename these networks?

Is does not matter if it is external or internal numbering - changing the number afterwards is not possible at all, because it is stored in a key field on the database in several tables during creation.(in difference to WBS elements which provide internal and external identifiers)
If it's not about changing the network number but only the WBS assignment: this can be changed in CN22 on the header assignments.

Unit of measure missing for LagDuration in ES for Project Network Activity?

I just tried the Enterprise Service "Read Project Activity" (ProjectProcessingManageProjectIn) from ESM ERP 604 in the ES workplace. The field LagDuration in the NetworkRelationship consists of only a number, but no unit of measure. I changed the unit from Hours to Seconds via the Web Portal and watched the results of the Service: the number did not change although one hour should result in different lag time than one second. IMHO the unit of measure is missing in the service definition. Or am I getting something wrong?

It is even worse: There are several duration fields in the "Manage Project In" Service Interface (e.g. Activity BaseDuration). In the responses these fields always contain a naked number (no unit of measure). In the WSDL these fields are of type "Duration" which has a pattern restriction of "PnYnMnDTnHnMnS" - not an int type! In a request if you pass e.g. "PT20M" (which is a valid Duration according to the samples) you will get a nasty parse error. Can anybody explain? Has anybody worked around this issue?

Validation of Network Profile against Project Profile

Hi,
I would like to monitor the creation of Networks with regard to the Project Profile, based on the Network Profile, so that when a Network is created with Profile "ZCN00", for example,it could be saved only if the Project Profile is "ZPS000" (taken from the Project Definition to which the Network is assigned).
I have used Validation/Substitution for similar logic regarding WBS elements against Project definition, but I cannot use Validation/Substitution for Network Header for this purpose because the Project Profile is not accessible in the Data for this Validation.
I have also tried Validation/Substitution in "Consistency check project structure" where all data is accessible - but validations here cannot be assigned in customizing to various profiles (Project/Network); as stated in thread "Validation for Proj. structure" in this forum, these can be activated using transactions CNC4, CNC5.
This does not solve my problem because I need to PREVENT the creation of a Network in the "wrong" Project - and not to trace the inconsistency AFTER the network has been created.
Is there a way to use the Consistency check project structure for my need without any other means, or do I have to use one of the exits provided in that tool?

Thank you for your reply.
In our work processes, there is a main function who creates and manages the Project Structure, excluding Networks, and in many cases, certain people may work on several different projects where they create networks, so I cannot limit their authorization to specific profiles, be it Project definitions or networks.
I know my issue can easily be solved by a simple development (like the Badi suggested in Virendra's message)- but I want to make sure I have covered the possibilities in the standard system - specifically VSR - before I go there.

Netbeans + Open Remote Project

I'm trying to open a project in NetBeans 5.5 that's stored on my company's network. The project is contained in a folder named 'myProject', and I'm certain that it would run correctly if I were only to open it the right way.
When I go to [File-> Open Project-> \\network-drive\...\projects\myProject ], I'm unable to open the project. Apparently, this folder isn't recognized by NetBeans as a "project folder". However, since it contains sub-folders named 'build', 'dist', 'nbproject', 'src', 'test', 'web' and a file named 'build.xml', it does appear to be a valid web application project folder. (Right?)
Interestingly, if I create a new project, save it to \\network-drive\...\projects\, close NetBeans, and then try to open it through the "Open Project..." dialogue, I'm unable to do so. The reason: That folder isn't recognized by NetBeans as a "project folder." However, if I create a new project, save it my local hard drive, and then try to open it through the "Open Project..." dialogue, I don't have any difficulties. This appears to suggest that the locations in which these folders reside dictate whether or not NetBeans can open them as projects. What's the deal with that?

Open My Computer, click Tools -> Map Network Drive. Where it says "Folder" type "\\P" into that box and click finish. Try to access the project using 'P:\Projects\ESAO_ITS\Legal\myProject' instead of the double slash in the beginning.

Error while Saving Project

Hi Expert,
When i am trying to Save the Project in CJ20N i am getting an information message that there in "Error in commitment check".
System is not allowing me to save the project.

I am also getting the same error..
I have created the project, network costing done, Budgeting done through CJ30, budget released through CJ32.
There is long lead materials attached to generate PR for preliminary requirement for advance procurement.
Now When I am trying to release and save the project I am getting the error CO634
When I checked the detailes in log it is showing the error
E BP 603
Item 010 WBS Elemnt XX.XX.XXXX budget exceeded.
Any idea what could be the reason..
There is commitment management activated from CO.
I have run CJBW and removed the availablity control, then this message is not coming.

Change Profit Center in FI/CO document for Network or WBs

The client does not want to change the profit center assignment on the network or WBS.
Finance would like the ability to change the profit center when the FI/CO document is created.
When trying a FI or CO substitution , we keep getting an error message stating that the profit center cannot be changed on the object.
The account assignment from the object will overrride any attempt to change the profit center via substitution.
Does anyone know a solution to the problem.
We are investigating adding an enhancement when the error message is called.

But, have you maintained 3KEI settings for derivation. This would give you additional flexibility to define your default account assignments. If still 3KEI is not sufficient, you can try amending the following message KI399 in OBA5. Before, making changes, you should know the implication. My question is what is the business need to change the Profit Center. Why cannot the users enter the correct WBS Element / Order, which contains the correct profit center?

To post the data to profit center FD999, assign the profitability segment, cost center or other object to that profit center as well.

Goods Receipt allocated to a project. MIGO (501-Q)

Hello Experts
I want to make a good receipt without reference to the PO. I use the movement type 501 - Q becuase I want to take of from the project. Then I want to to create again but take out only from a Network and I havent seen any customizing point to create new Special Stock Indicators. It is possible to create new one?
If it is not possible, perhaps I can use the Q but allocate to a network instead of the project. I dont know if it is possible too.

If you want show it as project/ network speicifc stock then make an entry with movement type 501 (GR without vendor)/ 561 (initial entry) and then issue that material to project/ network using 221/281 mvt types then it will come under special stock. But directly receipting to network option is not available, only project stock (501Q) is available in standard SAP.
