Project Sienna crashing like the Hindenberg
After a successful in place upgrade from win 8.1 to 10TP, I've discovered MS Project Sienna fails to load from the app icon. If I load a project directly from the project file, it will load and a few moments later will completely crash, closing the program.
I did an uninstall and then reinstalled from the windows store, no change in app behavior.

Do you have a large app in Siena, say, over 15 screens? I do and get a similar experience.

X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( X( [/ALIGN] [/SIZE]I've got the same problem- except this board NEVER worked properly- I re-installed windows ME on a clean drive, installed video card drivers, installed via 4in1 (version 4.42), and system wouldn't boot into windows- hit the reset switch, was told that windows couldn't find user.exe- rebooted again, harddisk no longer is a valid boot disk! Booted into dos from floppy, change to c:, pull a directory- NADA- drive is empty.
Disconnected ALL drives (including hard disk), running only video card (ASUS V7700 GeForce2GTS, 64 mb)
Rebooted system, tried to set FSB to 133mhz (for an Athlon XP 1700)- no boot, no post, nothing, black screen. Reset CMOS and stepped up through from 100 mhz to one step at a time- system becomes UN-BOOTABLE at 110 mhz!!
Tried with two different power supplies- (both 300 watt, +5v rail at 15 amp).
I think I've a majorly screwed board- the CPU is brand new, brand new 512 mb DDR 2700 stick, Samsung.
Any ideas? I'm ready to return this dog- MSI KT3- ultra 2. X( X( X( X( -

For the questions, I have posted here, and no one have
answers for it.
It would be great to have a direct contact to someone
that had the "know how" for me, so I can finish my app, and publish
it in several markets. It should be in Microsoft interest to help me to get
there to, so I hope there is a support for Project Siena somewhere. Or how do Microsoft
follow up on us newbie developers directly? It is important that I get this to
work in a good way, so I do not give up on my project. I think I have a good
one, that many will want to have on their devices!!

Azure Mobile Service in project Siena
Thanks for everything you have done in Project Siena, it is a great and very productive app.
I was very happy when I first saw that the known limitations on connecting Siena to Azure Mobile Services was removed in the presentation of Project Siena beta 3. However it seems that there are still many limitations and it still only imports first
500 records. Actually I can not see any development on the Azure data source functionality since beta 1?
I have asked the question before and was informed that Azure Mobile Services was strategically important to Project Siena.
Please let me have some indications for what we can expect so we don't work towards something that will never materialize.
1, Will the limitations on how many rows can be imported be removed in near future?
2, Will write back to Azure Mobile Services be enabled in a future version of Project Siena?

RoboHelp 9 crashes during the publish of a project
Greetings friends,
I am in a serious bind. I have a project that was created in Robohelp 9. I started encountering crashes on the evening of Jan 30th when attempting to publish the project.
I have been working in this same project without issue for 3 months without issue. I suspect the issue is related to some topics that were updated or created on that day.
Here is what I have tried:
1. I am able to successfully publish other projects
2. I was able publish the project in question earlier in the day. From modified times, I can deduce the batch of topics that may be involved.
The problem is there are 32 topics.
3. I have evaluated each of the 32 topics, seeing an earlier thread that referenced potential issues with tables. I did find 2 topics where the table looked a bit odd. I edited the properties on the tables and saved the topics. The issue persisted.
4. For grins, I checked the properties on the tables in each topic to be sure they matched the format in known-good topics.
5. I have tried renaming the project's .cpd file - based on other posts- the same issue occurs.
6. The project is pretty good size, so recreating it is NOT an option.
So I am stuck!
I have some questions to try to resolve this:
1. I noted in another thread that a user with a similar issue was able to publish via command line. Any suggestions on the string to use?
2. Is there a way to test this project by removing the suspect topics, then readding them one-at-a-time - aside from manually re-creating the topic in RH, then copy/paste from the original?
Any suggestions on how to achieve this goal?
3. Are there any debugging/compiling tools available to help troubleshoot this type of error? This seems like a fairly common error where topic formatting can cause trouble. It would SEEM logical that a tool would exist.

Newforma, Inc.To create the tag, right click a topic to which it is to be applied and click the options shown.
In this screen click New and create a tag called Exclude.
OK that and the tag is created and applied to that topic.
To apply to the others, open the Topic List pod and select them. (Use the CTRL key to make multiple selections)
Right click, select Properties and apply the tag in the Advanced tab.
Open the layout and go to Content.
Click Define to open the window shown. Exclude will be listed. Click the arrow to move it to the right. Generate the help.
With those topics excluded, it should all generate OK, in theory.

I have a project that crashed on me when I was about to finish it. When I try to reopen Final Cut Pro it wouldn't open until I took the project out of the Final Cut Project folder. Can somebody tell me if this is a problem that has a solution? I cannot go back to the project at all.
If you are using 10.0.3 or above Apple added a backups folder that for a little extra protection in cases like this. If you quite FCPX go to your Final Cut Pro Projects folder. Find the folder that has the project in question. If it has a backups folder there should be a file with a date stamp and .fcpproject extention, that is your back-up. Just move the back-up from that folder one folder up to the place where you deleted CurrentVersion.fcpproject from. When I have had to do this I haven't renamed the backup but some people to recomend that you rename it to CurrentVersion.fcpproject and it seems to work both ways. Ofcourse it wont work if there is already a CurrenVersion file there you will need to delete that one first.
If you don't have the backups folder or there is nothing in it I am not sure if there is anything that can be done. -
Error in saving and Project Siena close/crash
I am new to Project Siena and when I try to save my work, I receive an error:
"Error: test.siena cannot be saved. The file may be in use by another application"
Another problem is when I load a WADL, the Project Sienna closes or crashes. The WADL I am loading comes from the WADL generator tool.
Any thoughts on how to resolve these problems?

We fully support Windows 8.1 Enterprise, therefore it is alright to use that SKU. As long as you have Windows 8.1, all that Siena needs, will be provided by the Operating System.
As a follow up for you, on the other laptop, if you do the following what happens?
1) Reboot
2) Start Siena, once the machine comes back up
3) Start a new document and save as something other than "test.siena", on your desktop
Does it save? If it does not, you may have to post on the Windows Forum and see what suggestions are available.

Logic Pro X project crashes all the time
I'm running Logic Pro X (10.0.7) on a Macbook Pro (2.8 Ghz Intel Core i5, 8GB Memory) on Mavericks (10.9.5). Logic has been behaving reeeaally strangely lately, for example whenever I unplug my interface (a Pioneer DDJ-SX), it would crash during reinitializing Core Audio.
This specific project's tracks would play at seemingly random volumes, and it would crash especially often. At some point the project would crash instantly whenever I tried to reopen the auto-saved version. Eventually it opened, and then crashed shortly after giving a different error.

Try not using waves plugins and see if that resolves the matter...
Otherwise you will have to wait until another update to Massive comes along.. to fix this kind of problem.. -
I create a project w/iMovie and I have two problems: When I try to finalize the project iMovie crashes; when I share to DVD sometimes it crashes also; if I can successfully send it to DVD and then burn a DVD there are wavy lines on the screen. I'm uising photos in my project, not video. Help!
You can split a project in two by doing this.
1) Go to the Project Library View.
2) Select your project, and click FILE/DUPLICATE PROJECT. Give it a name like "your project name - part 1".
3) Do this again. This time name it "your project name - part 2"
4) Open Part 1 for editing. Delete everything in the second half.
5) Open Part 1 for editing. Delete everything in the first half of the project.
At the end you should have your original project, plus the same project in two parts. -

My NWS-NOAA Weather Prediction Mini Center Windows 8 app lets you quickly view the National Forecast Chart for three days, shows the Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts for up to 7 days, and view Excessive Rainfall Forecasts. It’s available now in the

I finished adding my transtions to my timeline. I was having crashing issues so I shut down everything before I rendered the project and now it tells me that the project is unreadable or the file is too new for this version of final cut. What Happened?
What Happened?
No way for us to know. But if your system was crashing, there definitely was a problem. The FCE error message you got normally indicates the FCE project file has been corrupted. This probably happened due to whatever caused your system to crash & shutting down the system.
First, make sure your system is running correctly. Then, use the Finder to navigate to /users/yourusername/Documents/Final Cut Express Documents/Autosave Vault and find the most recent backup copy of your FCE project file. Copy the file to your Final Cut Express Documents folder (copy the file, don't just move it). Then double-click the copy to open it in FCE. It should open ok, but will probably not have your most recent edits (transitions). You may have to rebuild the transitions, but at least you will be back in action. -
I would like to use GarageBand to remaster downloaded music files that are in iTunes. Poorly mastered files keep clipping and damaging my speakers. When I try to use an iTunes file as a new project, it greys out the iTunes songs so I can't select them. Any ideas?
As I said - look whether your original file is damaged or not. If not, I wouldn't change it and find out what in your system makes it sound like it's clipping.
Good sound file, with volume maxed out. No need to change anything.

The printing of .pdf file from Project 2013 stops when the file name should be written. Project 2013 crashes. Does someone know what is wrong between Project 2013 and Adobe Acrobat 9?
The Acrobat 9.x product family passed into "End of Support" mid-year of 2013.
Acrobat 9 support of MS Project via PDFMaker stops with Office 2007.
For Office 2013 support you must use Acrobat XI (11.0.1) or newer.

This message appears when an update has been sent for his approval and is pending. It could happen while opening the project plan, or when clicking on something like "retreive tasks updates" from the backstage menu of MS Project Pro.
The PM should go to his approval center and check for any approval pending.
