Project started in Terminal session stops responding while saving to maped network drive from user wokstation.

Project is installed on Windows 2012R2 and is used as RemoteApp.
If rdp file is configured to connect all or any user local drives Project hangs just after pressing "Save" button. If i forbid local drive mapping in collection settings or just rdp file - everythig works. The problem is that we need to map local
drives because we use file associations.
I've seen a lot of same questions about different Office applications hanging while saving to \\tsclient without solutions :(

Thanks for the post! Let me confirm that I understand the issue, when drive redirection is enabled and you attempt to save a file to the mapped local drive the RemoteApp application hangs?
If my understanding of the issue is correct, this should not happen. Does the app, for example, Project ever recover or does it always remain hung?

I suggest you bring Acrobat up to 10.1.2 by appltying the most recent maintenance.

Final cut pro HD, application stops responding while attempting to open

I was using fcp 3.0.2 on a 10.3.5 G4, added the updates for os 10.3.6,10.3.7,10.3.8,10.3.9, then upgraded to QT 7pro, all yesterday. then upgraded to fcpHD from a production suite that I had but hadn't installed for about a year. now fcpHD stops responding while its starting up, always at the same spot when it says" loading audio filters", i tried starting fcp3 and it also stops responding during the application start up. any suggestions on ressurecting fcpHD or even 3? thanks, TB

It sure sounds like your software is all messed up...
I'd trash your preference files for FCP found here: User/Library/Application support/Final Cut Pro User data folder, then see if it opens... if not I'd erase the hard drive and start over ESPECIALLY if your mac didn't come with Panther, and you just "upgraded" to it from an earlier OS long ago... You'll need to backup everything you want to save first... or install a new ATA in your Mac, and install Panther on it, then the FCP software you have. You'll not need to install any earlier versions either, just have your serial number for the older version you're upgrading from ready when you install FCP HD.
You also should be running QT 6 NOT QT 7 unless you upgrade to Tiger.

Internet Explorer stops responding while using CodedUI test builder to record a test

Here is my problem description:
Internet explorer (9, 10, 11) stops responding while using CodedUI Test Builder to record a test scenario in IE. I am not able to input any values or click any buttons or perform any action on IE while recording a test on a remote desktop (visual studio
and IE are both on remote machine). Also tried by directly accessing the machine but no luck. The test builder says 'could not record the last action...'
A hand-coded script plays back fine without any problem.
System Details:
OS: Window 7 Professional with SP1 64-bit
Browser: IE 11 (tried with IE 9/10 also with no luck)
Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate Edition
I have tried the following from my past similar experiences.
1. Checked that I am recording on 32 bit IE
2. Tried with IE 9/10/11
3. Reset IE to factory settings
I will appreciate if someone can share some thoughts on the likely problem(s) and any recommended solution.

Actually it means that the coded UI test builder doesn't record the actions, I met this issue before when my machine is so busy, so I will get this issue if I record the steps so quickly.
I'm not very sure that how you connect to your remote desktop and record the actions, but like the above actions, we have to make sure that the steps were recorded in the Recorded Action window like A.
If not, please delete the steps from the no-recorded steps and re-record them again, maybe you could record the steps slowly.
I doubt that the remote connection impacts the recorded actions performance.

the update might be choking on a song file (or files).
finding which song file is involved can be tricky. but some folks have been having some success using Roy B's instructions from the following post:

But if I try to load this site after browsing some other sites, the problem seems to resolve automatically. The website loads without any problem in Chrome or IE. I encountered this problem first with firefox 14 and with firefox 15, the problem persists.

Mail Stops Responding While Sending Messages

Mail has been freezing on me a lot lately when I am sending a message. I tried to find a pattern, and it seems the problem is multi-tasking. Since I have Activity Viewer open all the time, I can see what Mail is doing. If I send an e-mail and try to do something else in Mail before the message is sent (as shown in Activity Viewer), then Mail stops responding. This something else could be opening the original message, opening a different message, deleting a message, filing a message, viewing a different folder, etc.
Does anyone know why this happens and if there is anything I can do?

I am seeing the same issue just as you described. Have you managed to find a solution? It just seems to be a recent problem.

Automator Stops Responding while trying to perform "Get Image URLs from Webpage"

I have seen it in many tutorials, and it seems strait forward enough, so here is my order of events for my scriptl;
Get Current Webpage from Safari
Get Image URLs from Webpage [linked from these webpages]
Download URLs [Downloads]
However when I run this script it returns the get current webpage quickly but then hangs on Get Image URLs from webpage either never passes or takes 700+ seconds to move to the next step.
The times it did pass to the next step it worked 98% still missed images occasionaly.
After I figure out how to fix this issue, I am looking for a way to make it create a new folder, and name it according to the sub directory of the webpage, for example:
http:\\www.mypictures.com\Birthday\01.JPG
http:\\www.mypictures.com\Birthday\02.JPG
would create folder Birthday, and save images 1 and 2
Then in the future I want to download another set such as;
http:\\www.mypictures.com\MothersDay\01.JPG
http:\\www.mypictures.com\MothersDay\02.JPG
As these are both named 01.JPG the sets would overwrite, or add strange numbers and not divide by set by default;
So I need this script to create folders based on Directory (portion of url) In my example it would be MothersDay, and Birthday folders.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I should add, it has simply frozen and stopped responding about 95% of the 20 times or so I have run it. I have tried rebooting (not sure if that helps on Mac, I'm still new to the OS been a windows user for a long time but so far I love my Mac).

Actually I have done one enhcement in the User exit of the Sales order in the form Routine...

From this depending upon the some validation i am populating Error message,
I am creating sales order through service order from the Transaction IW51.
When i Try to save the service order i get the error messages which is coming from my validation which
I had put in the MV45AFZZ.
After the error messgae i press ENTER and then try to change the order by clcicking on the advance shipment.
As soon as i click on that i get a STOP messgae.
Which i as below.
System: Status object does not exist
I m not getting why it is coming.

Could you tell me which version of Office? Office 2010 or Office 2013? If Office 2010, you may install the security updates mentioned in the following link.

Since Oart.dll is not a system dll file, and is stored in the location of “[system drive letter]:\WINDOWS\system32”.
We can try these methods to check if it’s helpful.
1. Repair Office from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Office >Change > Repair.
2. Download Office installation source from Microsoft website and reinstall it.
3. Perform a clean boot in Windows to avoid conflict with other applications.

LabVIEW hangs while writing to unavailable network Drive

Hello,
I am trying to write data at the end of my test sequence run to a file and storing it on a network drive.
If there is a problem with the network drive (busy or disconnected), then my application hangs for around 10-15 secs before giving out error that the drive is unavailable. This is causing the hardware to stop functioning which is dependent on my application. Is there a easy way to check if my network is present and my drives are present? I have tried using the file/directory info VI's present on the file I/O palette and they also cause the application to hang for 10-15 sec before giving out the error.

   nice question!
   I think the problem is that is not only your LabView application which stops, but the Operating System which hangs, if Storage device access fails. I experienced this problem under many OSs, Win, Linux, Dos-like...even RTOSes (try to access a corrupted Flash card in PharLap ETS for FieldPoint!).
   To check if drive is present, you can ping it... it's quite naive, but at least you avoid the "drive disconnected" problem... I think a ping shouldn't hang PC...
   What Hardware are you controlling? You know, some NI boards (many...) have onboard memory, and can sample independently of PC control....for a while, of course!
   I hope some guru will answer to your question (which I didn't answered, I know! ), because I'm interested too!

Qosmio X500 - Stops responding, while watching video

Hello everyone! This problem occurs not very often, but it is quite strange and annoying, so I decided to post it here.
When I am watching a video file, the screen suddenly blacks out, the speakers start crunching disgustingly (don't know, how to describe this sound more precisely), and the computer does not respond to any of my actions, like pushing buttons or using the touchpad. The only thing that helps is to shut it down and reboot. Does anyone else have the same problem? Please, tell me, if you know what can be causing it and how to fix it.

Thats really strange and I dont know why this happens... Maybe your notebook is overheating. Have you tried to clean it using compressed air spary? This could blow out the dust from the cooling ventilators and therefore its not necessary to disassemble the notebook.
Furthermore try to update the display driver and BIOS. Both you can download on the Toshiba website.
Another interesting thing: Which OS you have installed? Does this happen with factory settings?

Can't start Time Machine - Preferences stops responding

I've set up a Time Capsule.
It's connected by cable to my modem/router to extend the network, the setup went OK and it seems to be working fine but I can't carry out a backup. It doesn't matter whether I'm connected wirelessly or via ethernet.
When I switch on Time machine I just get the rainbow spinning disk and Preferences not responding. No matter how long I leave it. In the end I always have to force quit Preferences.
In Finder the time capsule shows up under SHARED not DEVICES.
Have tried resetting etc but to no effect. Am I missing something out here?

The time capsule is working fine to "increase" my wireless network. I know that the setting isn't "extend a wireless network". I can turn off the wireless access on my Sky Netgear modem/router and my iMac connects to the internet through the Time Capsule which is connected to the Sky modem/router by cable. I think this part of my set up is fine.
I might be wrong.
What I can't do is get Time Machine to run a backup whether connected by ethernet or wirelessly. As soon as I slide the Time Machine switch across I get the spinning rainbow disk and then nothing happens. No matter how long I wait the message through Activity Monitor or Apple | Force Quit is System Preferences (not responding).
I can copy files and folders to the Data Folder on the Time Capsule so presumably the disk is not at fault. Perhaps something is wrong with Time Machine and I need to reinstall or perhaps I haven't set it up correctly- I just don't know.

IMovie stops responding while my camcorder is connected

I have a Canon Elura 60 that I have used in the past to work with movies on my PowerMac G5 however I just went to put some more home movies in iMovie 6 and whenever my camcorder is connected, iMovie just hangs. As soon as I unplug it, iMovie comes to life. Like I said, I have used it in the past with no issues. I've restarted my camcorder and Mac and in the camcorder display, it shows DV In meaning it sees the Mac.
On a related note, the same thing happened awhile ago when I tried to use my camcorder with iChat which I also have done in the past. I just don't know if I have tried to use my camcorder with iMovie 6. It may have been with iMovie 4 or 5.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I just connected my Camcorder to my iBook and ran iMovie with no problems and it connected fine if that helps.
I do need this to work with my PowerMac though as I dont like the thought of movie editing on the timy 14", low brightness LCD monitor on my iBook...

Cfolder do not respond while saving redlining layer

We have installed Cfolder 4.0 and ECL viewer 5.1.3 for viewing and redlining DWG , jt,.stl files.
I have changed or created a redlining layer, and try to exit the ECL Viewer.When I press "finish viewer session", to save the layer the application goes into not responding mode.
