Project Stock - Order Transport

Hi experts,
We have project stock and we would like to transfer it to another plant as Unrestricted Use stock.
We have create a Stock Transport Order (STO) in me21n with account assignment Q.
But in transaction MIGO, while doing the Goods Issue we are getting the message: "M7242 - Valuation control in material master and special stock differs"
How we are suppose to solve this issue?
Thanks a lot

Hi Virendra Pal
We would like to make the goods issue (for the stock transport order) against the Project.
When you say issue first from project you mean to make movement 411Q? Or is a proper way to do it?
Hi Gokul Pillai,
The note you told me talks about STO from Unrestricted use to Project Stock. But we would like to do the inverse movement, from Project Stock to Unrestricted use.

  • Project stock in SO/Delivery

    Hi,
I need to create delivery for project stock, but I'm not able to create PGI for that.
It has project stock in the inventory, but system only check the normal stock, and telling not enough stock for PGI.
What I need to maintain in SO and Delivery in order to let the system knows this is a project stock order? I've maintained the WBS element in SO's account assignment already.

  • Goods Receipt against Purch Order with WBS not posted qty in Project Stock

    Dear Gurus
We have recently implemented SAP in our company. One problem which we have encountered is at the time of GR of material against Purchase Orders with WBS assignments. Our requirement is that the goods at the time of GR should undergo the QM process and after Usage decision in QM, it should be available in project stock till the time we consume the material.
Contrary to above, the current behaviour of the system is that at the time of GR, the quantity on order is reduced by the GR quantity but nethier the project unrestricted stock nor the project quality stock is updated.  Apparently it seems that the stock is consumed immediately at the time of receipt.
It will be appreciated, if any one of you can advise on above.
    Muhammad Asif Nakhuda

    Hi!
As Nag has correctly pointed out, the account assignment should be 'Q'
Consumprion also occurs if you have acct assignment category as 'N'
Now, if you are raising the PO with reference to PR that is thru PS, hen select Item Category 'L' (stock item). This will
trigger the acct assignment category 'Q'

  • Change of Production Order to Project Stock from unrestricted stock

    Hello Experts,
I need to have a workaround of transaction CO02. Actually, we have already implemented PS by using Project Stock but the problem is that we have almost thousands of production orders  that will come into unrestricted stock after production. For these orders we want to make an account assignment for a project and we want that MRP to see all these production orders as entering project stock after production. If I do the same by CO02, it is very difficult for me to do it individually for each production order. So, is there any way to configure our need for passing from using unrestricted project stock to project stock ?
    Thanks,
    Kumar Srinivasan

    Hi,
Then try implementing the following logic. Not sure if this can help you.
Use a material that is set up to trigger the production order and attach this material to a network activity that is set to be reserved for project stock Q and can only be GI to that WBS element. The planned costs are recognized in the project but the Actuals are only recognized when the finished material is GI back to the project. You can use your planned production orders and MRP in exactly the same way but they are just linked back to the project when they are completed.
If you need to transfer planned orders that are already in place then it can be done in MM. There’s a goods movement type specific to where you need to reference the WBS element that is set for requirements grouping.

  • Change PP order from PLANT STOCK to PROJECT STOCK ?

We are creating a production order via BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_REF.  We are using an existing production order as our reference.  The existing production order has account assignment to WBS, and the existing production order is listed under PROJECT STOCK in MD04.  The newly created order does not have the assignment to WBS, and also is showing up as a fulfillment of PLANT STOCK in MD04.
We attempt to update (via CO02)  the newly created order by populating the WBS and settlement rule, but  it remains in PLANT STOCK.  How can we get the production order removed from  PLANT STOCK and show up in PROJECT STOCK for the correct WBS?

    Hi,
I doubt the BAPI - BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_REF will help for your need, as WBS element is not one of the inputs for this BAPI.
    A suggestion which might help:
    - Create a planned order using BAPI - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CREATE by specifying the planned order type as PR. Here you can give the details of WBS & other things as needed.
    - Next use BAPI - BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_PLORD where-in you can convert the planned order create in the earlier step into a production order.
This will ensure that the order will be in project segment.
    Regards,
    Vivek
    Added
Just to inform you, SAP confirms that the BAPI - BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_REF simulates CO01 & not CO10. Hence you will be unable to use this BAPI to meet your need.
You can use the option suggested earlier or go for a BDC recording.

  • Project Stock from production order

    Hello Experts
Am facing a issue in PP where i have created the production order manually and have entered the WBS manually in to that and have confirmed it. Later i have done MIGO against to that Production order and have built the stock but the stocks are taking it has normal stock and not the project stock where it has to be in the WBS element which we had taken in production order. And we have used movement type 101 and its not taking 101Q in background.
If we check in MB51 it wont show the stock in project stock.
Could you please let me know where am going wrong please as we are doing in Production we require a help
    Regards
    Praveen B M

I have seen this kind of issue with Production order manually created. Best way is to use the production order which is created from planned order generated from MRP run.

  • Valuated or Non Valuated Sales order or Project stock?

    Hi,
    a) What factors should i consider before deciding on whether my Sales order or Project stock should be Valuated or non valuated?
    b) If i have decided to have the Project and Sales order stock as valuated how can i go about doing the settings for the same in SAP? How can i assess its value in financial accounting?
    Thanks

    Hi
As per my knowledge, the Material type controls whether that material is valuated or not.
    Thanks,

  • Requirements in sales order stock instead of project stock

    Dear all,
we are attaching components to our network activities. Do you know if it is possible to generate sales order stock requirements out of the project instead of project stock (special stock indicator should be E instead of Q)?
    Thanks for your replies.

Yes man, there is a way, have a look at Project Profile, OPSA, there are 4 tabs --
    Control, Organization, Plg board/dates, Controlling.
In Control tab 3options are there in Project Stock.--
no stock -- non-valuated stk -- valuated stock - or automatic grouping.
check which settings you are having in your project profile which is assign to your project.
tick which ever you want to assign according to your needs.
    hope this will help you.

    Ansar

  • Project stock "Q" and Internal order

    Hy,
we are trying to use the Project stock indicator ("Q") for make-to-order ; the Project stock seems to work properly.
We are also trying to insert the "Internal order"  and we modified the "Q" account assignement category to add the 'internal order'.
In the Purchase order we insert a 'real' internal order and a 'statistic' wbs.
When we make the good receipt we have only a CO posting to the 'statistic' wbs but do not have any CO posting to the 'real' internal order.
Can someone help me to solve this point?
    thanks in  advance.
    Mario

    Hi Gianmario,
What you can try is to change the consumption posting indicator in the account assignment category from P to V. But I am not sure how the system then behaves in combination with special stock Q.

  • Project Stock to Sales Order Stock

    Hi,
I need to convert Project stock to sales order stock is any T code for direct conversion of Project stock to sales order stock,
and my client don't want convert project stock to unrestricted stock he want directly convert the project stock to sales order stock
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Go to MB1B and use Movement Type 413 Q to transfer Project Stock to Sales Order Stock.
Else In MB1B - Transfer Project Stock to Own using Movement Type 411 Q and then transfer from Own to Sales Order using Movement Type 412 E.
Note: - E and Q are Special Stock Indicators.

  • Project stock components in a production order

    Hi Gurus,
can anyone help. We have the following situation. Raise Purchase orders for components with reference to a WBS. We then raise Production orders which contain this component without reference to the WBS element. So MRP tries to order twice as much stock as it does not consider the project stock for plant stock.
This all makes sense to me so I need to solve this problem either by updating the PO component reservation to reference the WBS element or allow MRP to consider the project stock in its calculation.
Does anyone know how I can do either of the above?
    Ben

Hi everyone - thank you for answering so quickly. I have already set the MRP4 coll indicator to 2 but it still does not meet my businesses requirements. The best way to explain my issue is if I show how MD04 currently shows the situation
    Stock                                                             10
    Ordres                                                           20 -
    Purreq                                                           10
    Projst                                                              0
POitem                                                           10       (exception message 20 - so system does not think we need the PO)
If I delete the Purreq then MRP just creates it again. The production order does not reference the WBS element (however if anyone knows how to link individual order components then that would probably solve my issue as well)
My requirement would be for the 10 pieces coming on the PO to be available for the production order.
I can not do this as a transfer posting as it is too late in the process. A TP would only be once the stock is booked in.
Is there some setting I need to be looking at in the MRP group I need to be looking at?
Also what also confuses me is that if I raise a 222 movement reservation with reference to the WBS element it still does not consume the PO even if it is the same WBS element.
THis is a real head scratcher!!

  • Moving avergae price updation in material master for project stock

    Dear All,
My query is pertaining to updation of MAP( moving average price) for project specific procurement ( as project stock) for valuated project stock.
As  definelty the cost of procurement gets consumed by project .but i want to know does the project stock procurement still updates the moving avergae price or not.
Ex:-Suppose MAP in material master is 10 USD ( with qty 1)and i procure the same material ( qty 1)for project with account assignment Q for 9 USD . now will the MAP in material master becomes 9.5 USD or it remains 10 usd.?
    Please reply urgently
    Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
If your Project Stock is valuated, then, the valuation data for it is stored in a different table: QBEW.
The normal, anonymus warehouse stock (the unrestricted use stock which is not assigned to any project or to any sales order) has its valuation data stored in MBEW.
The "Accounting 1" view in the Material Master MM03 ONLY displays the data of MBEW.
In the material master you will never see the valuation data of the valuated project stock (table QBEW) or the valuated sales order stock (valuation indicator "M" - table EBEW).
The valuation data for the tables QBEW and EBEW can be seen in SE16 or in the transaction MBBS.
Also note that these valuated special stocks are managed independently of the normal stock. If, for example, you change the Moving Average Price of your normal stock in MBEW, this will not have any influence on your project stock, as the data is under a totally diferent table QBEW.
    I hope this helps you,
    Esther.
