Project summarization configuration

Dear Experts,
Please guide me on configuration for project summarization step by step. To my knowledge, this will allow us to report by WBS master data attributes e.g. business area
How do we go about configuring this? And, then how do we get a summarization report by a desired characteristic??
Please enlight me.

Monica

  • FLEX Builder Pro 3 New Flex Project cannot configure J2EE

    I have FLEX Builder Pro 3 installed on a Windows XP machine.  LiveCycle Data Services is installed (with Tomcat) on a Linux RHEL 5 machine.  When trying to create a new FLEX project and configuring a J2EE server am very confused on what to put in Root Folder and Root URL.  I have tried various paths on the Root Folder (with a drive mapped through windows and also with just using the servername) and keep getting the error message:
    Invalid root. The WEB-INF/flex folder must contain either flex-config.xml or services-config.xml.
    I've located the flex-confing file in the tomcat5\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF directory, but still get the error.
    Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Are your new classes referenced from the old code? Mxmlc employs a questionable form of "as-needed" linking, so classes that are not referenced from the main application are not even compiled. This referencing requirement is recursive; that is, any classes that are to be included have to be referenced from the main application, or from classes referenced by the main application, or from classes referenced by classes referenced by the main application, and so on. But if your new classes are not referenced at all from the old code, they will be ignored.

  • Primavera Project Summarization Problem

    Hi friends,
    In our company there is an interface between Primavera and SAP via EPC connector. Here in the every month end we transfer values (Budgeted non labour cost and Earned values) from P6 to SAP.
    Before we transfer the projects we get all the projects to one EPS node ( which has been created for transfer projects from P6 to SAP, according to the program logic the projects which are supposed to transfer from P6 to SAP need to get copied under this EPS node). then they summarize all the projects together and transfer via EPC connector by executing SAP transaction code.
    Here the problem is when ever we transfer the projects, suppose we transfer 100 projects in which 2-3 project values (Budgeted non labour cost and Earned values) are not transferring properly (while executing the transfer there is no error or waring it is showing) then when compare with both software reports and  finding out the unmatched projects then again summarize  those unmatched projects in P6 and transfer to SAP then this time the SAP values are matching with primavera values.
    Here my doubt what exactly summarization does for projects, while transferring, only 2-3% of the project values are not matching rest of the project values are transferring  properly why..? (I have checked with the concerned SAP consultant, from SAP side interface program is all right since rest of the project values are being transferred properly). Then after summarization, the unmatched projects are being transferred properly. I request you to please explain me why this is happening like this. Is it related to any data base issue or performance issue, in order to over come this one, what I need to do..?
    Note: this scenario I am not able create in Test server because I am creating 1 to 10 projects and transferring from P6 to SAP, the values are being transferred properly, this is happening when I transfer huge data.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srikanth.

    I'm almost suere that ORAPMDB is not database, is an alias that points to your XE database. Anyway, you can create more alias to configure more databases with Database configuration wizard.

  • Removing unneeded configuration files from project (in configuration folder)

    Last week, I took the LabView basics I and II class.  During the class, I created a project with a pre-existing vi of mine (that I had previously written).  When I arrived back at work, I load the vi and the vi is looking for configure waveform.vi, configure waveform format.vi, and the read waveform.vi.  These waveforms must have been on the computer during the class, and are unneeded.
    Is there a way I can prevent the project from trying to load these files?

  • ChaRM Project Phases - configuring what can be done during phases

    Hi
    This is a pretty simple question.
    Where do I change what actions can be completed during phases?
    For example, a ZMCR for a Maintenance Project can be created in Development with Release phase but it cannot be created in Go-Live phase.
    Where do I view this configuration?
    I used to know but I can't remember
    I went into transaction SM34 and accessed /TMWFLOW/VC_PHMD  but this is more for lower level actions (i.e. releasing transports). I'm looking for transaction type status (i.e ZMMJ can be changed to this status in these phases).
    Cheers

  • Migrate Project Server configurations

    Hi,
    I would like to export the configuration elements of Ms Project Server 2010 such as EPT, Custom Fields and Lookup from one environment(DEV) to another. I have used Playbook tool for migraition. However, Playbook doesn't work with https site.
    Are there utilities, add-ons and approaches to migrate Ms Project Server elements across environments? I would appreciate any help in this regard.

    Hello,
    For Project Server 2010, Playbooks is the only free tool, others such as Fluent Pro are paid for. The other options you have if Playbooks is failing on your HTTPS site are:
    Make PWA access via HTTP using Alternate Access Mapping
    Write your own backup and restore tool
    Migrate the whole Project Server data and config using the rollover approach.
    http://pwmather.wordpress.com/2012/04/10/projectserver-2010-environment-rollover-steps-powershell-ps2010-msproject-sp2010/ - probably only suitable if you are going from Production to DEV etc.

  • Dr. Damien's Development - The Xylophone Project VIII - Configuration Dialog

    The Configuration button was made active in this installment. The following changes were made.
    A full complement of Get and Set members were added to the NoteCalculations class. These were simply copied from the original members and the names and icons changed. Front panel controls were copied directly from the class control cluster.
    In the previous version, an error condition during initialization of the sound acquisition loop would cause a hang. This has been fixed in the loop “start” and “stop” cases.
    The configuration dialog concept was modified to include a data analysis time period. The code behind the dialog was then written and the whole thing added to the main library.
    The main code was modified to use the configuration dialog.
    The sound acquisition loop was modified so that no changes to acquisition occur until the apply configuration VI is called. Previously, the object was queried for the number of points taken, which was calculated from the sample rate and acquisition time. This led to incorrect behavior if the sample rate or acquisition time were changed in the configuration while data was being collected. Now the number of points is cached in a shift register and changed when the configuration changes.
    The pulse analysis code was modified to filter out frequencies below 20Hz. See Xyl.lvlib:ConvertNotesToDisplay.vi.
    The configuration dialog is a simple dialog pattern. Initialization takes place before an event loop, cleanup afterwards. This design pattern is suitable for simple dialogs. You can already see the scalability limits of this type of design in the large numbers of wires going around the event structure. Use of the sound acquisition and note calculation objects made writing the dialog simple and straightforward. Adding new parameters would not be difficult, but would stretch the ease of maintenance if many more were added. Using a state machine similar to the main program loop is the next step, if this dialog gets too large.
    The dialog is modal by design, but is also live — changes to the configuration are immediately applied to see the result. This is why the original configuration is cached so it can be restored on Cancel. An unfortunate side effect of this design is that if an error condition occurs, the user must cancel or change the settings, close the dialog, run again from the main panel, then relaunch the dialog to make changes. There are two straightforward ways to fix this — make the dialog nonmodal or add a restart button to the dialog. Making the dialog nonmodal is easiest, but then the user can lose it behind the main window. Adding a restart button creates a more complex dialog. I am tending to the second option. What do you think?
    Note that the dialog close events are discarded by the event structure and handled as if the dialog were cancelled. Cleanup is then properly handled.
    Tabbing between controls does not work well with this dialog. Programmatic tabbing would be a good option, due to the presence of the tab control. Setting the tab order using the Edit»Set Tabbing Order... menu item is not easy due to the presence of the tab control.
    Neither the OK or Cancel buttons are mapped to the keyboard at the moment. The OK button is usually mapped to <Return>, but this leads to frustration when filling out the dialog. So this binding was removed.
    As always, comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

    Hi All
    I have a query on Project summarization.
    I need to exclude project from project summarization as soon as its status gets TECHO or CLOSED.
    If we canu2019t do it on status then just any one help me out how to exclude it from hierarchy.

    Create a summarisation hierarchy using a seperate status selection profile which excludes the TECO

    Create status selection profile and use it in KKR0 for projects.

  • Export OSB configuration from eclipse using ant script

    I am trying to export an OSB project from eclipse using ant script
    I followed the link below http://biemond.blogspot.com/2010/07/osb-11g-ant-deployment-scripts.html
    It is using com.bea.alsb.core.ConfigExport to do the export. This export is always set to resource level.
    I see it generates a file ExportInfo setting some properties. It has a property that set the export level as below
    <imp:property name="projectLevelExport" value="false"/>*
    How can I export the project in project level? basically setting projectLevelExport to true?
    So that if a file does not exist in the sbconfig.jar file , then while importing the jar to OSB server it will delete the file from the server instead of skipping it?
    I appreciate any help
    here is the ant script snippet that gets executed to export from eclipse
    <target name="exportFromWorkspace">
         <delete failonerror="false" includeemptydirs="true"
    dir="${metadata.dir}"/>
                   <!--eclipse.refreshLocal resource="${config.project}" depth="infinite"/-->
    <java dir="${eclipse.home}"
    jar="${eclipse.home}/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.1.0.v20100507.jar"
    fork="true" failonerror="true" maxmemory="768m">
    <jvmarg line="-XX:MaxPermSize=256m"/>
    <arg line="-data ${workspace.dir}"/>
    <arg line="-application com.bea.alsb.core.ConfigExport"/>
    <arg line="-configProject ${config.project}"/>
    <arg line="-configJar ${config.jar}"/>
    <arg line="-configSubProjects ${config.subprojects}"/>
              <arg line="-exportLevel true"/>
    <arg line="-includeDependencies ${config.includeDependencies}"/>
    <sysproperty key="weblogic.home" value="${weblogic.home}"/>
    <sysproperty key="osb.home" value="${osb.home}"/>
    <sysproperty key="osgi.bundlefile.limit" value="500"/>
    <sysproperty key="harvester.home" value="${osb.home}/harvester"/>
    <sysproperty key="osgi.nl" value="en_US"/>
    <sysproperty key="sun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax" value="true"/>
    </java>
    </target>

    yes, I specified the project name to export the whole project.
    Here is few lines from my properties file
    # properties for workspace export
    config.project="OSB Configuration-GW"
    config.jar=D:/workspace/osb/scripts/gateway/mycode2/ant_osb/dist/sbconfig.jar
    config.subprojects="GatewaySecurity"
    config.includeDependencies=true
    workspace.dir=D:/workspace/osb/gateway-workspace
    But this property does not make it to export at project level ,it export the specified project at resource level.
    And while importing this jar to OSB server, if a file is missing it skips the file instead of deleting the file from the OSB server
    If I unjar sbconfig.jar file, open ExportInfo file and update the line in bold below to true then it deletes the file from OSB server, if not exist in sbconfig.jar
    <imp:property name="exporttime" value="Thu Dec 29 13:57:44 EST 2011"/>
    <imp:property name="productname" value="Oracle Service Bus"/>
    <imp:property name="productversion" value="11.1.1.4"/>
    *<imp:property name="projectLevelExport" value="false"/>*
    Here is few lines from Oracle API java doc
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13171_01/alsb/docs26/javadoc/com/bea/wli/sb/management/importexport/ALSBImportOperation.Operation.html
    public static final ALSBImportOperation.Operation Delete
    Indicates that the resource is deleted in the importing domain. This is the default operation when the project is exported in its entirety and the resource exists in the target domain but not in the jar file
    public static final ALSBImportOperation.Operation Skip
    Indicates that the resource is skipped meaning the resource is not touched in the importing domain. This is the default operation if the jar file was exported at the resource level, and a resource that exists in the target domain, does not exist in the jar file.
