Projector hook up and no more spaces

Whenever I hook up projector to my MBP running the newly upgraded snow leopard, and then unplug the connector, I always find that spaces stops working. My hot corner doesn't pull up spaces even though it's all enabled. Any ideas? I'm really not liking snow leopard, there have been so many bugs and no updates to fix them yet...what is it with this version??

Log into the iCloud on your MacBook Pro and enable Photo Stream:
Then launch iPhoto and set iPhoto's Photo Stream preferences to the following:
Then check the Photo Stream section of iPhoto:
This is to confirm that the photos are still in Photo Stream. If they are they will be imported into the library.
NOTE: not all photos in an iPhone will be in the Photo Stream. PS only keeps photos in it for 30 days.
If you have the missing photos in your library put them in an album. Connect your iPhone to the Mac and open iTunes. In iTunes you can select that album in the library and sync the photos to your iPhone to get them back on the iPhone.

I have had the same problem, and I had to create a OSS message to SAP in order to solve this issue, until now I don't have an answer. They made me to change a lot of configuration in Java and BW without luck. To tell you more, when we try to export to excel the java instance restarts aumotatically.
But we have this problem, when we try to export a huge quantity of data, so I found a note which says the limitation of exporting to excel. Take a special attention to the Performance section.

Bought ssd and want more space on bootcamp

Hey. I just bought new 500gb ssd for my mac book pro. I want my mac to work more fast and especially I want to have more space for boot camp as well. I just wanna know is all as simple as I`m thinking.
So when I ll get my ssd I just need to connect it on my mac via usb for example and copy my hdd disk there. After that I just need to put ssd inside my mac and start it. Everything should be as before and Boot camp should be there as well?
After that I want more space on boot camp so easiest way might be just buy winclone and clone my boot camp partion. After that just simply delete boot camp partion and start boot camp and do new partion for 200gb for example without installing windows? Then just put clone of boot camp back there and everything should be as before expect I have a ton of fast and free space to use for windows and os x?
Could it be that simple or am I missing something?

I`m just wondering may I do resize with boot camp assistant and then but clone back there? Are u recommending Paragon CampTune for me cause it`s easy and fast or cause it won't work out as I think it should?
Just wondering I already have to buy winclone ~20$ and Paragon cost other ~20$ so if It`s possible without Paragon I`m happy
Edit: I`m also pretty sure I won`t have any space issues anymore I`m getting that 500gb ssd and if I`ll give 200gb for windows and rest for os x. Meaning I don`t have to change size of partions in future anymore. I can deal space issues with usb hard drives if I ll have some

We have many design files and need more space

We are sharing files which include many design files. When we upload, we can no longer access each other's work. Can we increase storage space so we don't have to break links by moving design files?

HT4972 i want to update my software version to 6.1.3. but my c drive runs out of memory and i cannot upgrade it at the end, but having to delete the files and gain more space for the computer to operate... plz help me :(

i want to update my software version to 6.1.3.. but i have never updated this before and this is my first time.. im having 20 GB apps and music in my ipod. so when i click 'update and download' tab it starts downloading the new version and upgrading,... but afetr some time it says im having a very low memory in c drive and i would have to stop the upgrading...
can i use my external hard to save this download and upgrading files without using my c drive? plz give me a solution as im only having only 7GB of space left in the C drive

I would rather you delete/move other files to the external HD rather than downloading the update file to the external HD.
First try going here and delete any update files to regain C drive space.

Also, make sure that you have emptied your computer's recycle bin

Can't find content in ATV and no more space

All my content on ATV has disappeared but there is only about 500mb of space left to download things. How do I get my stuff back or clear up space?

Is there a "New" button at the top right of the Playlists section of Music?
There is no Edit button to delete music, swipe sideways on the song to reveal the delete button. Tap and hold on the artwork in Artists and albums to reveal the (X) button to delete. Or connect the iPad back up to iTunes on the computer and check your sync settings for music to ensure you are syncing the right content.

Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown asBackups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Reboot and it should go away.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size with the largest at the top. It may take a few minutes for ODS to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

I am getting a warning on opening my mac saying I need more space as my setup disk is full. I have emptied many files as well as my Trash. I am planning to get an external drive for my photos, but it has been suggested that I check Console and under the system log the following message (of which they say 4000 messages have been logged in 2 days) '06/06/2014 16:08:23.341 com.apple.dynamic_pager: dynamic_pager: Need more space on the disk to enable swapping'. This is a copy of one of the items. It is from the system log. I really do not think I have enough files to warrant this warning, with the exception of photos. My storage shows 143 MB free out of 120.47. Thanks for any help.

First off, no MacBook Air can run 10.3 or earlier.
Secondly, are you sure you only have 143MB of storage free? That's seriously low. With MacBook Airs of 120 GB hard drives, or even 140 GB which is often the case when it says out of 120, you shouldn't allow your free space to go down below 20 GB. MB is 1024 fold less than a GB. So if you really have 143MB free on a MacBook Air, you are long past the minimum space you should be keeping it at, and need to start clearing a lot of space now*:

This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your device that is causing the backup to fail. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, tap your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup. Then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app or something in your camera roll that is causing the backup to fail. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.
In the meantime you can back up your phone to your computer by connect it, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Back Up. Also be sure to transfer your purchases (File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). Then set up your new phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iTunes Backup and follow the prompts to restore this backup to your new phone. This will be much faster than using iCloud anyway.
