Probably time to get a backup program and back up your device and then do a hard reset.  There's http://www.spritesoftware.com/products/sprite-backup/full-edition Sprite Backup, http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/backup/ SPB Backup, http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/backup/ Resco Backup.
I use Sprite myself.  A good idea is then create a backup of the essential apps you MUST have so that you can always restore that backup and be working asap.

    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Neither Palm, nor any of us volunteers here can help you unlock a phone - this can only be done from the carrier!
You will have to call AT&T to get the code.
(I've removed the IMEI number from your post to prevent others from copying it)

I am not familiar with your provider, but it's possible that the "modem" settings need to be changed. If you go to Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections, and click Manage Existing Connections, can you match the device settings with the settings from your provider? (Note: that is based on WinMo 6.1, so your menus may vary.)

    i have a palm treo 750 unlocked
recently i updated it to windows mobile 6.5
and i am in problems with it
i want to reset it to wm6
pl send me the original os link

    1. There was never an *official* WM 6.5 update for any Treos.
    2. Have you tried a hard reset?
    3. Are you sure its the OS, not an application?
    4. I see disclaimers left and right on hacking-related apps, sites, etc.
    5. Try the 750's Palm support page, maybe an update will help.

  • How can I transfer my photos and videos from Palm Treo 750 to iMac OS X 10.9.5?

My old Palm Treo 750 which does not have any service has very special photos and videos I would like to put on my iMac OS X 10.9.5. I plugged the phone into the USB adapter and the phone is not recognized. Can anyone give me direction?

Your phone is in recovery mode. You won't be able to get anything off of it until you get it out of recovery mode. Try this:
    http://jaxov.com/2010/05/recboot-iphone-recovery-mode/
If that doesn't work, you have no choice but to restore the phone. But, you'll lose all data on the phone going that route.

  • Using the Treo 750 with no SIM CARD

Please advise on how I can use the Treo 750 for everything except what I would need a sim card for.  I am currently upgrading my smartphone, but would like to have my wife use the PDA functions and apps on the Treo without having to insert a sim card until she is comfortable with using the smartphone for everything else.
The features I would expect NOT to have is phone service, wireless data service - wireless exchange email and wireless internet access.  Associated services that would be great to retain - Outlook Exchange Server synch/update via USB when tied to a PC that has internet connection.
Sort of like turning an iphone into an ipod touch.
When I boot the phone without a sim card, it basically says I cannot use it without a sim card.  Would I need a "dummy" sim to make the thing more than a paperweight?
    Please advise.

    Hello!
Quickly hit the start menu button twice and that should go back to the today screen and use like a PDA.  Due note that a restart and/or using cellular stuff could trigger the SIM card requirement again.

  • Activsync 2 Palm Treo 750 to 1 computer IS THIS SUPPOSED TO WORK ?

Is it possible to have 2 palm treo's 750 to sync to the 1 computer.
Origanly I wanted to have two Smartphones that would sync between 2 computers for myself and my wife but this is not possible as the data allways gets stuffed up or duplicated.
Now I can not even have one PC for the 2 Palm Trio's as the data integrity is not there and things go missing or get doubled up and the sync time can run for anything up to 3 hours before it can finish syncing.
Or are Palm's only to be used as 1 PALM to 1 PC ONLY ?????

Sync issues Outlook 2007 running Windows XP Pro. Service Pack 3.
    1.  A lot of times when syncing it will duplicate contacts, not all of them just some about 40% to 60%.
    2.  When syncing the two handhelds we found that in the Calendar a lot of appointments / Meeting times were just disappearing
    3.  Sync time can very between 15 Min and 4 hours or more usually I just get sick of it and take it out of the cradle and try again the next day.
I have even removed all data and started from scratch but it still made no diffrence.
This has been going on for the last 16 mouths.
I thought that Palm were better than this

  • Palm treo 750 will not pair with Motorola H500

I followed all directions and the Palm recognized it but refused the passkey (0000) which was in the instructions.  Now it won't recognize the device at all.  Help!
Post relates to: Treo 750 (AT&T)

I have no other Bluetooth devices at all and nothing will pair with it and I followed the directions to the letter as have several other knowledgeable people, one being the AT&T tech in the store.  You say the connection is locked to the last device paired.  Is it possible that it's locked on the device even though the passkey didn't work?  Can it be in some kind of limbo - recognized but not paired and the connection is locked?  I don't know all the technology about that - but something happened when I tried to pair it the first time - it recognized it just fine and then rejected the passkey and it won't pair with anything, even a Palm earpiece. Of course, if that were the case, any of the 3 master resets I have performed should have cleared that huh? There are no devices listed and both devices are fully charged.  The ebayer who sold me the phone is willing to let me return it so if you have any other ideas, please let me know.  Thanks.

  • Sending/receiving Googlemail from my Palm Treo 750

    Hi folks
Some months ago I set my Treo to connect to my Googlemail account.  For a time it sent and received emails happily.  Then it stopped receiving Googlemail (despite the fact that, logging on at a PC, I could see that there were a number of new emails in my account) and more recently my Treo now chokes when I try to send emails on my Googlemail account (when I log on to my account on a PC I can see the email in my Inbox having been "returned" with a "fatal error").
Any help and advice to rectify things would be gratefully received.
    Thanks

  • How to use your Treo 750 to browse the internet on your mac

    Hi There,
I am by no means an expert on this, but this is what has worked for me. I'm on Vodafone in New Zealand but I think this setup (or very similar) should work with Cingular in the states or other Windows Mobile v5 devices.
    1. Install The Windows Mobile Modem Scripts Onto Your Mac
Download the Generic Windows Mobile Modem Scripts (3 of them) from: http://www.taniwha.org.uk/
The scripts are under "Windows Smartphones & BlackBerrys" called "Scripts for Windows Mobile phones" (half way down the page)
Once downloaded, put the scripts into >Library >Modem Scripts
    2. Start Bluetooth on the Treo
    Go >Start Menu >Settings >Connections (from the bottom) >Bluetooth
    Tick "Turn on Bluetooth"
Tick "Make this device discoverable to other devices"
    Click OK
    3. Pair The Treo with your Mac (done on the Mac)
If the Bluetooth menu is not already on your mac (near the date and time, top right) go to >System Preferences >Bluetooth
Under the "settings" tab tick "Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar" and the menu will appear
Once the menu is there, choose "Set up Bluetooth Device..."
Click "Continue" and on the next screen choose "Mobile Phone". Click "Continue"
Make sure the screen on the Treo is on (I've found the mac has trouble discovering the device otherwise)
Choose your phone and click "Continue"
Click continue and enter the pass code on the Treo and click "Next"
Once pared, on the phone click "Finish"
On the mac, make sure "Access the Internet with your phone's data connection" is ticked and click "Continue"
Enter your Vodafone (or Cingular) account username and password (see notes below)
Under phone number enter: *99# (this invokes GPRS or the 3G data connection)
Choose "Windows Mobile GSM 460k" from the "Modem Script" pop up menu
    Click "Continue"
    Click "Quit"
Select the new phone from the Bluetooth Devices list and press the "Edit Serial Ports" button from the left
Click the plus sign under the main window
Name it "Treo750" (or Cingular or Vodafone or whatever you want)
Choose "Modem" from the "Port type" pop up menu
Tick "Require pairing for security" and "Show in Network Preferences"
    Click "Apply"
    4. Configure The Bluetooth Port
    Go >System Preferences >Network
    Choose "Network"
A "New Port Detected" window should pop up, click "OK" (if it doesn't and you have a new "Bluetooth" port, don't worry)
Select the "Bluetooth" port from the list and click "Configure"
Under the PPP tab, click the "PPP Options" button from the bottom
Untick "Send PPP echo packets" and "Use TCP header compression" under "Advanced Options"
    Click "OK"
Click the "Apply Now" button from the bottom right
    Close System Preferences
    5. Connecting to browse the internet from the mac
    Go >Applications >Internet Connect
    Click "Bluetooth" from the top
Tick "Show modem status in menu bar"
    Quit internet connect
Make sure the Treo is on and bluetooth is on (and your data connection is on, see notes below)
Go up to the internet connect menu (the little phone icon) and select "Connect"
    Notes
For the carrier account name and password, I just used the same account info that was on my phone under >Start >Settings >Connections >Connections Icon >Manage existing connections >Edit "VFNZ Internet" (or your carrier name) >Next Screen >Next Screen >Next Screen. On this third screen, I found my account details.
If for you there is nothing, then more than likely your carrier doesn't require a name and password - so on your Mac, leave these fields blank and just enter *99# for the phone number. Although, I think you may have to use something (for Mac & Windows Mobile compatibility) so just try entering username: guest and password: guest. There is much more info regarding this in the readme file that comes with the Windows Mobile modem scripts. Or contact your carrier for your specific details (probably the best thing to do!).
I have found the connection to be a little bit unreliable when the Treo's screen goes to sleep - so I tend to hit a button on the treo every 30 seconds to keep it on - But Vodafone here in NZ has flashed the ROM to make it HSDPA compatible so others may not have this problem.
I had trouble the first time I tried to connect through internet connect. But after I connected through >System Preferences >Network >Bluetooth >Connect button next to the configure button at the bottom, it worked every time from the Internet Connect menu.
Also, you may want to check your email or browse a page on the Treo first, just before connecting from your mac to make sure the data connection is on - I haven't worked this out fully but I'm not sure the Mac can open the data connection itself. Again, this may be a region/carrier specific issue.
    Cheers
    Ben

I've also found The Missing Sync to work much better than Pocket Mac for syncing the Treo to the Mac.

  • Which sync software downloads do I use for Palm treo pro?

Hi ! I mentioned before on the forums I have a used palm treo pro. I have just realised I do not have the synchronisation software. I looked on the net and found different windows synching softwares 'free' for windows. Am I supposed to look for the software which states it works for the 6.1 windows mobile operating system (on palm treo pro)as I cannot see that sort of thing recommended on the different downloads. The link below seems to be the closest but I cannot imagine a mobile running 6.1 windows using this.  I am fairly clueless as I have never synced before. I am going to hotsync some CoPilot sat nav software . Can someone help me out.  Thanks very much !  http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-ActiveSync/3000-2094_4-10031823.html
Also just to say this is what I am attempting with CoPilot- http://www.alk.eu.com/buynow/download-instructions.htm . Scrolling down this link to the title under STEP 2 saying Alternative method it shows the type of hotsyncing I need to do. Anyone with any knowledge should understand this and hopefully could advise. I have put the link in this message as I am looking for the correct hotsync software.
    Thanks again!

Alpine23, I've moved your post from the Windows HotSync section to here, due to the fact your device does not use that software - "Hotsync" refers to devices that run PalmOS.
Your device runs Windows Mobile.  What you use to sync it depends on the operating system on your computer.  Older OS's like Windows XP use a program called "Microsoft ActiveSync".  Newer computers running Vista or Win7 use "Windows Mobile Device Center:

  • ActiveSync won't detect my Treo 750

    Help!!
I started with Windows Mobile 5 before with Activesync 4.2 and it worked just fine.
a year ago, I updated my palm with WM 6 and Activesync 4.5 and it worked just fine.
Recently, I have got new laptop from my company and try to re-install activesync.
During the process, I accidentally deleted the connection in my palm and everything is gone!!!
I tried to install activesync 4.5 in my new laptop and try to connect them, however, activesync won't detect my device.  It did not even charge my mobile.
Curious enough, I tried to connect it with my other laptop at home (using Activesync 4.5) and it did not detect the device as well.  Running out of idea, I removed Activesync in my home laptop and install Activesync 4.2. Try to connect and it worked!!! However, an error message came out saying that I need to have ActiveSync 4.5 to synchronize with WM 6.
I uninstall the ActiveSync 4.2 and install 4.5 in the laptop and try to synchronize again.  But this time, same situation happens again where Activesync did not recognize my device!!!
What to do, I am running out of idea.  Help me please...

Post relates to: Treo 750 (AT&T)

I went through all the recommended steps I found online and spent 2 hours with palm support and 1 hour with Dell support and still was unable to connect my att palm treo 750 using activesync when I had successfully done so in the past.  I am using a treo 750 with winmobile 5 ver and activesync 4.2  connecting to win XP pro. I would see the phone in my device manager but it would not connect. This is what I discovered that fixed my problem and not just on my Dell computer but another computer I have as well. I would go into the phone to  Start/Settings/Connections Tab and found USB to PC and check the box to allow advanced connections. I would then remove the battery. unplug the USB cable and reinstall the battery. After phone boot up, plug usb in and attempt connection again and it would fail. Again open on the phone the  Start/Settings/Connections Tab and found USB to PC and uncheck the box to allow advanced connections. If connection fails (it probably will) pull battery from phone and unplug USB. reinstall battery to reboot phone then plug the USB cable back in. My device would again connect.. This needs to be done every once in a while because of the buggy phone and/or activesync software. I hope this helps anyone and prevents them from wasting as much time as I have on keeping an otherwise good phone in sync with an xp computer. Peace and long live a free internet and quality software....
