Prolem with iphone s/w update

Hi !
I recently brought an iphone5 from Dubai (Jumbo store) and I asked for an unlocked phone and i always thought I got the same, I paid a nearly USD 800 for the same. After few days when i opened the SIM cover, I found a verizon SIM inside the iphone5, But anyways I was able to use my iphone5 with other SIM card in UAE, India & Malaysia, But when I called up Apple customer care they told that its not factory unlocked and its with Verizon, and If I upgrade the software or ios or reset to factory setting the same will get locked. they told me to contact Verizon customer care, can someone let me know how to proceed I was not able to reach the Verizon customer care.

You do not need to look at the log file.
Are you trying to hack/jailbreak?
Connect and select your iPhone in computer iTunes (use the latest version) and in Summary tab, click Check for Update button.

The" may need service' meand there is a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Issue with iphone 4 to update IO S 4.1

I just got the new iphone over the weekend and since there I cannot update the new OSI 4.1 update for my phone, I try everything listed on apple site and I only get this warning "this iphone cannot be updated at this time because the iphone software update could not be contacted or temporary unavailable", I try in different networks beside mine and still this warning keep it coming, is anyone with the same issue?

I'm having the same issue. Alot of you claim to "know" about Apple and there software/products. Where's the help here? This post has been up for quite a few days now. Where the **** is Apple's support team on this? Or is it fAilpple?

Need some help desperately
Was syncing my iphone through itunes and it wanted me to update the version which I thought it did
Now my phone keeps telling me to connect to itunes which I have tried without success.
In device manager it's showing as apple mobile device in recovery mode with an exclamation mark
Have tried so many options from this site but nothing works.
When I tried to update in device manager it says access denied
Have also tried reboot without success

Yes. I had an iPhone 3G and when upgraded to 6.1 the bluetooth connectivity failed progressively and eventually the phone just wouldn't connect. I broke and reestablished the pairing am few times and each time it would work for a while then disconnect to the extent I thought the bluetooth hardware in the car was failing. I then got an iPhone 5 and the same issue remained. In the last few days I've paired an old Blackberry with the car kit to rule out the BMW hardware. Blackberry is fine so it has to be iOS incompatibility.

Cellphone-Roaming impossible with iPhone 4 after updating to iOS5.

After updating to iOS5 I'm unable to connect my iPhone 4 to a cellphone-network when in foreign countries (roaming), I only get a network in my home-country Germany?
When trying to select a cellphone-network manually, it shows me all the available networks, but as soon as I choose one it says: "the choosen network is no longer available. You may choose another network in Settings."
This happens with all networks shown.
Before updating to iOS5 roaming was possible without any problem as I have the option in my contract with T-Mobile Germany since the beginning. I checked with T-Mobile Support in Germany and was told that from their side there are no restrictions.
How can I fix this problem (which is obviously a software-problem)??

Call your carrier & have them remove International Provisioning from your account, once they've confirmed doing so, turn your phone off...wait 30 seconds or so, then turn your phone back on. Once done, have your carrier re-provision your account for International Roaming...all countries you intend to roam in...once your carrier has confirmed re-provisioning your account, turn your phone off again...wait 30 seconds or so, then turn your phone back on. Make sure, before you go through this that Set Time Zone Automatically is on in Settings.

Sync files with iPhone 4s after updating to itunes version 11.1.4

after updating iTunes to version 11.1.4 it wont automatically sync files with my iPhone 4s

After updating to the newest version of iTunes which is 11.1.3.8, I can no longer edit song information because whenever I click Get Info, the program crashes. It says, "iTunes has stopped working...". I literally tried all the troubleshooting techniques here but to no avail!
I already:
Reinstalled iTunes and other related programs like a hundred times
Scanned my computer for viruses
Opened iTunes on another user account
Opened iTunes on safe mode
Removed unusable configuration files
BUT STILL, the problem persists. I have the same version of iTunes on my office computer and it works perfectly fine but I want my iTunes here at home to get fixed. Never had problems with editing song information until I updated it to 11.1.3.8.
I just don't know what to do anymore. I updated this program last January 1 and until now I haven't found any solution. It's really getting on my nerves!!!

Frustrated with iphone 2.1 update

I've been trying to update my Oroginal iphone with the new update. After the update is downloaded to itunes, it start to extract the old iphone files, then after a few minutes I get a box that says....
The iphone "My iphone" could not be updated. The disk you are attempting to use is full. Removing files and emptying the recycle bin will free up additional space.
Here's the thing. My computer is almost bare bones. I removed all of the uneeded prgrams and emptied the recycle bin. There is really nothing else for me to remove. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks for the help!!

It means your iPhone is too full, not your computer. Is there anything you can take off of your iPhone that you don't need? Hope that helps.

I'm working with IPhone 2.0 Update!!!!!

Like many of you, I made the mistake of downloading the 2.0 update today think this should be pretty easy. What was I thinking! FYI...I'm a Quality Assurance Engineer for a leading software company in Pa and I know better then to update on the very first day(my mistake #1) Take it from me, no matter what it is DO NOT TAKE A SOFTWARE UPDATE ON THE FIRST DAY!!! Give it at least a few days to a week to get the kinks out!!
Anyway, I downloaded the 2.0 updated around 9:30 AM EST. Everything was fine until I had to reconnect to ITunes to finish and wham I got the time out error. I kept trying to get to ITunes over and over again. Well after 6 hrs and a number of different ways of trying, I got connect. Note: I've been reading the post and reconnecting my IPhone seemed to help.
After finally connecting to Itunes I got a messsage saying Restoring IPhone from Backup....My IPhone displayed a message say Activation in progress, this may take awhile.
Once that was completed my IPhone rebooted and I got a message saying Restore Music and Videos from backup...this was about half way done and I started getting my text messages that were missed. I did not get any phone messages.
Now after almost 7hrs I'm back to normal. So please be patient, try disconnecting your Iphone and waiting a few minutes. That seemed to work for me.

Having stuck it out for 7 hours, I now have a viable backup for the first time in weeks. The backup that I did after updating my iphone took a matter of minutes rather than hours. I've not had a chance to see if wifi or 3G is any better as updating took all day. I'm just glad that my backup problems seem to have been fixed!

this condition after update my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.1.1n
1. sometime screen unresponsive , i press power button to sleep, wake up using home button it will work, but if i press power button for wake up screen still unresponsive.
2. Setting for sleep 1 minute , but after more than 1 minute still not sleep i have to press power button to make slleep.
3. if i don't press home button for sleep suddenly iphone will open some application like mail, search app (type some letter), open passbook, play music and the stranger thing is suddenly make a call.
anyone else having this issue?   any solutions?

hi Franxis . . . below is what I had to do . . . I believe that my crashing, perpetual rebooting and reset loops was due to some combination of my iPhone 5's hardware, iOS 8.1.1, and some applications.
I upgraded to iOS 8.1.1 upon release.   approx. 10 hours after this upgrade, the iPhone 5 displayed a bright white screen. tried hard reset & phone would not turn on. iPhone eventually turned on, to display lines & colors, but iPhone was inoperable - would not reset using sleep / home key combination or connection to iTunes
I brought my iPhone to the Retail Store - RS was able to reset phone, and then began the process of restoring from my last backup there & said it would continue throughout the day. After the restore from backup completed, the crashing, perpetual rebooting and reset loops started again.
1. I was eventually able to perform a DFU & installed the phone as new (factory reset, I believe).
2. I did NOT perform a restore from backup.
3. The phone seems to run fine now
The long story is that days 1-3, after the DFU / factory reset, the phone ran fine. And, on day 4, I began installing Apps again. When I installed the fourth App, and the phone crashed, changing colors, perpetually rebooting, and unable to start / get into a functional mode.   On day 4, I had to leave the phone alone for a while - was eventually able to perform another DFU - factory reset - and again no restore from backup. Today - day 5 - my iPhone is running fine again and I installed 11 Apps now (not the one that crashed my iPhone), accessed them all, and phone seems fine.
For me, it seems like an App, or some Apps that I was running caused the issues for me - it could be a combination of everything (certain Apps + iOS 8.1.1 + hardware not getting along).

My Calendar doesn't update with iPhone sync even though it then updates my iPad

My Calendar on my iMac doesn't update when syncing with iPhone (the most updated device on my Calender), even though it then updates after I sync my iPad? By this I mean it updates the system on my iMac because it then passes it onto my iPad. Help PLEASE??????

Might help if you stated which App this was.
In the email iTunes receipt that you receive there is a Report a Problem link with which you can communicate a problem with each purchase to Apple.

About three days ago the ability to connect came and went and the connection never lasted more than 10-15 minutes; it has not been able to connect since last night. I do not think it's my wifi router as non-mac lap top has no issues. I have seem many similar questions posted.

Reboot your router by removing all power from it for about 15 seconds. Also, if your router still has its default SSID (such as LINKSYS, DLINK, NETGEAR, etc) change the SSID to something unique. Note that all other devices on your network will have to be reconnected if you change the name, but if the name is still the default that is most likely your problem.
If the SSID is not the default then the reboot should fix it.
