Prometric Id re-incarnation on CertView registration Webpage:

If I understand correctly, as accessed at about the time of this post, the page [https://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/ocp_interface.prometric_reg] wert certview registrations almost surprisingly mentions Prometric Id:
Prometric ID*
Full name (first & last)*
Email address*
City*I would of thought:
(1) It should actually reference Oracle Testing Id instead of Prometric Id. (with a reference to say both are the same).
(2) I wonder my the page has prometric in its title.
I may be talking rubbish - I am having a non recyclable dustcart (trashcart) sort of journey experience today.

jpatokal,
It is my understanding that when you create your web account with Pearson VUE, you will be assigned an OCXXXX ID, but if you entered your Oracle ID (prometric ID) when you created your web account, you will continue using this ID.
1. Did you enter your Oracle Testing ID (aka Prometric ID) when you created your web account?
2. Have you verified your ID with Pearson? Go to www.pearsonvue.com/oracle and select "My Account">Sign in>you will see your Oracle Candidate ID at the top of the page. If you entered your Oracle testing ID at the time you created your web account, this should be your Prometric ID - PRXXXXXX or SPXXXXXXX. Check this first.
3. If you did not enter your Oracle Testing ID (prometric ID) when creating your web account on pearsonvue.com, then you currently have 2 ids and will need to get them merged. You can contact [email protected] to get them merged.
There are 2 possible reasons that I can think of that CertView account was verified under your Oracle Tesing ID (Prometric ID):
1. You entered your Oracle Testing ID (Prometric ID) when you created your Pearson VUE web account and this is your correct ID.
2. You did not enter your Oracle Testing ID (Prometric ID) when you created your Pearson VUE web account and your past certifications are still in CertView under your old Oracle Testing ID (Prometric ID) until you have your IDs merged.
Please check your account to see what ID shows up on your Pearson VUE account.
Thanks,
Brandye

  • Interval between Pearson VUE registration and CertView Registration

Refering to [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=316] and [https://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/ocp_interface.home] seem to indicate a lag of up to 7-10 days for information to migrate from Pearson VUE to be accessible for Certview.
As an implication for this I have counselled it may be correct to wait for up to 7/10 days after successful Pearson VUE registration for Oracle before attempting to register for Certview?
Is this delay in fact necessary or is it over-cautious ?

It will take approximately 7-10 days for data to be transferred from Pearson VUE to CertView. We hope to bring this down in the future, but currently, you should allow 7-10 days.
However, if a candidate has previously taken exams at Prometric, they can go ahead and authorize in CertView - even if they have just set up their Pearson VUE web account. However, since it will take 7-10 days for the Pearson VUE info to be reflected in CertView, they should authorize in CertView with their profile information from Prometric. If a candidate updates information at Pearson VUE, and does not authorize with CertView for 7 days, it is best to be cautious and go ahead and wait the 10 days. At this point, the information in CertView may be old or may be new, so better to wait and know that the info has been updated.
Alternatively, if a candidate has difficulty with CertView authorization and enters erroneous information 3 times, the account will be referred to our service team who will process the authorization manually and should have it sorted out in about 3 working days.
    Thanks,

  • Pearson profile merging problem

    hi,
i did my OCA in 9i database in march,2009 through prometric (id: OOOOOOO )
i did my OCA in application server 10g in feb,2010 through pearson (id: NNNNNNN )
after my exams with pearson,i got my score report in 'my account' page in Pearson site.
later,i got mail from oracle, asked to contact Pearson to merge my profiles.
i mailed to pearson for the same.they merged, and said now the current oracle testing id is ( OOOOOO ) i.e. which i got in prometric.
after merging,in my profile page in pearson account,i cant found my recent exam history with pearson(which i saw before merging of profiles).
in 'My Account --> view history' page of Pearson it shows
"You have not previously taken any exams with Pearson VUE."
i keep on contacting pearson about the issue, they too keep on sending mails, that my password has ben changed,'try it now'.
also,in 'cert view' of oracle,i tried with prometric id,my account 'authorization verication' got failed(third attempt) and now i cant access the page.i mailed [email protected],but yet now no response.
am scared,as i have to submit my score report in my company, also am in the process of doing OCP.

regards -->Abdur Raoof1) Hopefully you have your certificate from your 9i DBA OCA exams. (I assume you took 1z0-007 and 1z0-031). You should have received that by may 2009; so that shouldn't be an issue.
    2) The situation on problems with Certview registration should normally be resolved by Oracle. I am not sure what you will find when you get access, but perhaps it will be useful. However remember it may take a few days (and i cannot remember wether this is 3 days or closer a couple of weeks).
    3) For the 10g App Server I assume we are talking about the exam 1z0-311. Please check this is the case.
    - Pearson VUE deal with Exam Names and Codes on behalf of Oracle, not certifications.
    - So as I understand it from their viewpoint you would currently be missing a 1z0-311 (Oracle Application Server 10g: Administration I) exam result.
    - I believe it is important you obtain an incident number from Pearson VUE; and that incident refers to the inability to track your 1z0-311 exam.
    - If you go back to them then say their attempted reslution of the incident did not work and could they escalate this. They need to be given the opportunity to escalate it. It may even need a technical person to track your accounts. If this fails then as a last resort ask for the complaints procedure. Also check if they are able to see your 1z0-311 pass.
    - Your 1z0-311 score report should also have been printed and gvien to you at the testing station; sometimes this does not seem to have happened recently (see below). (this is not proof, as (almost) anyone could mock up a forged score report).
    4) - On your Pearson VUE account you say your 'View history' is blank. Check your exam is not in your 'Current Activity'. For instance I took an exam yesterday, after I completed the exam still eight hours later it was in current activity (recent activity block) only with a status of 'scheduled'. By this morning it is in both current activity/recent activity with a status of 'taken' and also not in exam history with a status of 'taken'. It will, I assume, move on to a status of 'pass' at some point in the 'history' tab and be removed from my current activity tab.
    5) As your exam was in march it is possible you took a biometrics associated identity checking (photo taken) which was linked to your test result. I believe there have been a couple of issues wrt revised Pearson Software associated with this certainly which have included Score Report Printing and failure to deliver exam. It is an outside possibility you have suffered from this.
In summary I think you should pursu with Pearson VUE in first instance but obtaining and incident number and requesting escalation.

  • Satellite L750D - Cannot register warranty due to country code

Unsure if this is an appropriate question BUT...
I am trying to register my L750D Notebook for warranty and it will not accept my country code.
I live in Australia so the country code is 61. I live in South Australia - code 8 and my phone number is 83xxxxxx.

Would anyone know what I am doing wrong?
I have also tried about 30 other ways of doing it?

  • 2 Testing IDs from Pearson Vue

Hi all, I'm new to this community, though I've been searching the forum in case of doubts. I read a similar problem here but it was not of much help.
Here, I have a few problems regarding my certifications. Just FYI, I'm from INDIA and appeared for my examinations at NIIT (an authorised Vue testing centre). NIIT is a IT training institute.
    1. I took my 1z0-007 (SQL) exam and 1z0-042 (Oracle 10g:Adminstaration Workshop I) from NIIT, Cannought Place and was given a testing ID: AB1234567 (not actual) and then due to a server problem at this centre since a few days I had to take the 1z0-043 (Oracle 10g:Adminstaration Workshop II) at a different NIIT centre (at South Extension) and was given another testing ID: XY0011223 (not actual). Now I've verified the exam on certview.oracle.com with the second testing ID and now I'm unable to see the details of the first two exams on pearsonvue.com. How can I verify my SQL and OCA exams on certview.oracle.com to link them with my pearsonvue account?
    2. My full name is Sree Subhash K as i wanted it to be on my certificates. The name appears correctly on my SQL and OCA score reports and pearsonvue account. My OCP score Report has my name as Sree S K. Perhaps, this might be the reason for a different testing ID, and to add to my doubts, OCP(which is now on my pearsonvue account with full name) shows the name as Sree S K. Please advise how do i get the name rectified?
All the help will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sree

SreePearson VUE should be able to merge your Oracle Testing Id's.
    See: http://www.pearsonvue.com/oracle/contact/
From what you've said with regards to the names you may prefer that AB1234567 is you're preferred choice for survival; however if this is the case you might have certview issues to resolve on survival.
( XY0011223 survival might help you have less certview issues, but their is more chance of you being stuck with a name issue).
Basically Pearson VUE will need to do the merge; if there certview registration problems certview support at oracle will hopefully help. But be aware you certview profile is managed from updates from your Pearson VUE profile.
I think its too late at night for me to (try) to explain more fully.

  • Automate typing in web browser

    Hi,
I'm trying to use automator/applescript to repeatedly type 1-3 specific 5 digit numbers into a webpage. That may sound sketchy; what I'm really trying to do is have automator/script type 3 CRN (course registration numbers) into my college registration webpage and submit it over and over again. Basically all my classes are full and the only way to get in is if someone drops the class. However, it really has to be luck of the draw if you get in as someone else almost immediately takes the seats and I can't keep refreshing the class schedules page all day long to see if someone drops and then rush over to the registration page to try and get the seat.
If I could get automator to submit the CRN's over and over again I would be able to get the seats as soon as they became available. Is it possible to do this with automator/applescript? If not is there another program I can use to do this on mac? If anyone is worried about policy violation, I checked with my counselor and he said there is no rule against this at my university although he did not know how to do it. This is a very important issue to me so if anyone can come up with a working solution I will gladly tip $5 to paypal for your time and effort.
My course registration page basically just has 7 or 8 exmpty boxes in which you can put CRN numbers and then a submit button. If you submit the CRNs and the classes are full it will come up with the same page and have an error saying they are full but still has the same empty boxes in which to put CRNs. I think it should be easy to automate this since I just need the program to type or paste 1 (or 3 if possible) 5 digit numbers, click submit/press enter and then repeat. The page layout for this website is always the same so I think a simple set of commands/automator flow with repeat should be feasible.
    Thanks for reading
    Sam

Alright... well, i can't tell you how to do the entry part, but i used to work for an ISP and my boss had us "monitor" upcoming domains (ones that are expiring that he wanted to acquire).
I once had to monitor a web page for changes to appear in order to purchase domains.
I wrote a simple shell script that used wget to fetch a web page, run grep on it to look for data and upon seeing the string needed ("available now"), sends an email to me with the subject "Domain xxx available now".
I ran this script every 3 minutes.
We had blackberries so we got notification anywhere and could execute the purchases on the fly once the notification mail was received.
We were successful in capturing 100% of our targets.
So, using that method, you can at least know the moment your class is available.

  • A few Questions about OCA DBA

Hello everyone, I currently passed the second test required for my OCA-DBA certification, 1Z0-052-ENU, sadly my 3 attempts on singing onto http://certview.oracle.com were invalid " and not sure why because all my Info was properly given ", My 4 questions, *#1* : is my Certification Kit gonna be delayed because I cant log into certview ? *#2*: why does perasonvue.com show my oracle tests as "taken" and not passed ? all of my other certifications show passed in the Status tab. just thought it was a little weird. *#3*: To Download My logo I have to wait for the kit correct ? *#4*: was I suppose to do something else but going into certview after passing my test or are all of the steps I tried to take properly in place?

This is quite normal. Automatic authentication by certview only happens if everything is perfect and the weather is fine. Otherwise Certview send goes off for a manual check.
My 4 questions, *#1* : is my Certification Kit gonna be delayed because I cant log into certview ?Your authentication should be sorted in 3 working days or so. It won't affect the delivery time of your certification kit ( 6 to 8 weeks or sometimes a little more) (Unless things work in more mysterious ways than I can imagine!)
*#2*: why does perasonvue.com show my oracle tests as "taken" and not passed ? all of my other certifications show passed in the Status tab. just thought it was a little weird.I assume here you are talking about the PearsonVue website.
I think 'taken' is fine, it may eventually go to passed. I recall this being brought up some time ago. I am too busy to check this out.
Pearson vue from an oracle viewpoint doesnt deal in the 'certification ' entities. It only deals with 'exams'.
*#3*: To Download My logo I have to wait for the kit correct ?From once you are authenticated on Certview, and the Certifcation database has received your passed, and the Certification rules process has deemed you to be certified and entered your certification ino the certifcation database and certview then you can download the logo from certview.
*#4*: was I suppose to do something else but going into certview after passing my test or are all of the steps I tried to take properly in place?certview registration is optional but ever so strongly recommended. It enables you to confirm quicky the certifcation is awarded.

  • Merging Prometric and Pearson VUE data in CertView?

Background: I passed one exam (SQL) for my OCA under Prometric last month, signed up for Pearson VUE last week, and passed the second exam (Fundamentals I) just today through Pearson. I should thus qualify for OCA.
I attempted to sign up for CertView using my Pearson ID (OCxxxxxx), but it was not accepted. On my third try, I switched to my Prometric ID (PRxxxxxx), and signing up was successful. I can now see my SQL exam there, but my "Oracle Certification Program ID" is the Prometric code, not OCxxxxxx, and there is no sign of the Fundamentals test.
So my question is: will this magically resolve itself if I wait the 7-10 days promised for Pearson data to migrate over, or do I need to pester somebody to manually merge the two accounts together?
    Cheers,
    -j.

    jpatokal wrote:
Huh? As I already said, I entered my Prometric code when signing up for Pearson. I suspect as mentioned before you did not use the form correctly .... but I have an extremely strong suspicion that the dialogue sequence makes this very easy to happen.
I would hope that Oracle/Pearson VUE take that on board and takes steps to correct and find ways of reducing this happen as it is costly to correct when it does.
If Pearson goes ahead and assigns me a new ID anyway, I have no choice but to use that ID, now do I?You have a choice of not scheduling an exam until that is resolved. That may be unacceptably painful choice for some people in some circumstances. But it is probably less pain than resolving the situation later.
And you telling me to be "grateful" about Oracle's grandmotherly kindness in permitting me to waste hours groveling to support and twiddle my fingers for weeks on end while they pass the buck before they fix their own mistakes is pretty darn rich.Duplicate Oracle Testing Id's (or Prometric Id's) as they used to be have been a problem for some time [http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2008/09/]. There was a real push to get people to get this resolved before moving to Pearson VUE [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=312#1] (My Account - I discovered that I have duplicate Prometric records. How can I get these merged?). While your case has arisen accidenly there appears to be some indications from the OCP Team is appeared to them people were recklessly obtaining mulitple Testing Id's and then complaining about not receiving a certificate. In fact I am almost certain I recall a comment that exams taken under different Id's was the single biggest cause of missing certficates. I suspect many people were simply losing there original Prometric Registrations, and rather than recovering them simply taking creating a new registration and taking an exam on a new Id and then effectively having go through the merge process with support effort needed by Oracle and Prometric. One could understand considering if a charge would reduce this group. I suspect others unwittingly acquired a duplicate Prometric Id. by for instance an online exam.
With the recent issue of Certview it may arguably be easier for people to realise there is an issue here, especially if Oracle changed procedures urging people registering with Person VUe who have exisiting exams to check their Oracle Testing Id is consistent. However this would not have been possilbe for you.
Please remember the Certification forum Moderator, who also happens to be the Certification Programme Manager, may take your comments in a different light, though over the course of a few months I do believe they genuinely do try to help people (and yes I think they tear their hair out sometimes at their own systems!).

  • Certview Bug examing score reports

I was prompted to test Certview Score reporting this following reports of people with difficulties viewing core reports in certview. At around the time of this post i find the following either bugs or IMHO bad behaviours. I am using Chrome Version 23.0.1271.95 m from a Windows Vista PC at this time.
A am able to get to the Certview - exam history page entitled "Oracle University Exam History"
I see exams I have taken here under the oracle certification program under both prometric and Pearson Vue ( i don not see earlier exams taken under sun / MySQL before takeover; though I do see them on the certification page, this is all as I would expect).
So I have a table of exams as follows:
Test Start Date     Exam Number     Exam Title                      Grade Indicator     Score Report
17-MAR-10     1Z0-047             Oracle Database SQL Expert      PASS                     View
    ...[1]
When I click on the 'view' link for the score report on an old exam previously taken under oracle when prometric was the provider I get a pop up Tab page with the message:
"There are no registrations associated with your student information."
_OK_I can understand what is going on here, though the message is not informative.
    [2]
When I click on view link for score report for the exam above (taken under pearson view) I get a background tab attempting to open with a 'Loading....' message on the tab title ... which goes 'untitled' for an instant and then disappears completely. That tab near reaches foreground and I remain on the exam history page.
[3] I haven't taken an exam for one taken after the new results regime introduced in november 2012 .... but other forum posters seem to have at least got some issues here. I seem to recall from blog links others were initially unsuccessful but later successful with recently taken exams.
I am concerned the update to this area may not have been fully tested, and may be pleased to recommend prize of extended visit to Australian Bushtucker trials with opportunity to develop and test escape software from tunnels full of bandicoots. Of course I am unfairly jesting ;-)
I personnally an not too bothered on this but others may be. I may raise an SR anyway and will leave the number here if I do. I understand it is the weekend, and that software updates take some time to develop and test.
    .....

I have several certifications that I have completed from 2002, 2005 and most recently 2012. I am not able to view the results and get the same error mentioned above :
"There are no registrations associated with your student information."
    OK
I don't think this is a browser related issue since I have tried this with Chrome, IE and Mozilla. Can anyone help with the solution to view my old results ?
    Thank you,
ShashiFor the 2002 and 2005 examinations these will have been with a pre-pearson vue exam provider and the detailed exam results will not be available.
For the 2012 by best guess you ought to have had a Pearson Vue exam with results available, but their may be exceptions ( eg one thought is might happen if oracle testing ID's were merged). Suggest raise a specific service request with Oracle Certification to investigate. This is new so behaviours will be emerging ... however you have not hit a browser issue here as far as I can tell ).

  • Question about Pearson Vue registration

    Hi All,
I read some of the threads here and it sounds like there were some problems merging exam history with Pearson Vue.
I'm OCP certified and I had done my exams with Prometric. I registered for a web account on the Pearson Vue website and i'm not waiting for an email. During the registration process, there was a question asking if I was certified and I said yes but the prometric ID didn't get accepted.
I'm sure a lot of people has gone through that same process...After you got your email, were you able to see your exam history?
    Thanks.

Thanks. The problems occur if you take examinations under 2 different Oracle Testing Ids.
The result of this is the Oracle Certification Database see the owners as 2 different entities and if exams from both are required for a certifcation that would not be delivered.
So it is kind of important (actually near vital) your Pearson VUE account has you Oracle Testing Id. matching the Prometric Id you used in previous tests.
Now with the answers you've given you may find it gets corrected 'automatically' .... but if the 2 are different it seems to give problems downstream with the merge.
I am a bit unclear what is meant by I am not waiting for an email. Does this means you registered with Pearson VUE twice?
    Now while
    Patience is a virtue,
    virtue makes a saint,
    Saints are a football team
    And I'm sure Pompey aint
is not true as Pompey have avoided liquidation via administration patience is a virtue in this.
When someone who registers with Pearson VUE who has previously tested with Prometric one of 3 things happens (sometimes because of the form):
    - They register saying they have not tested with Oracle Before:
---- They then get a New Oracle Testing Id and take exams and wonder why certifications do not occur as they expect .. and eventually they get a merge. Thankyou for increasing the exam costs.
    - They register with Pearson VUE, say they've tested before, enter their old Prometric Id, wait for the email saying all is sorted and they are abl to register and take exams.
---- This is fairly seamless with a 3 or 4 day delay.
    - The say they've tested before but do not enter an Oracle Testing Id.
---- My understanding is registration occurs and the're Oracle Testing Id. typically is updated with the correct old Pearson VUE automatically. But I cant be sure of this. I think some people say this has happened. If this happens they are find, if it doesn't they are stuffed.
The pearson VUE history will only ever show exams taken with Pearson VUE. It does not know about Certifications, only exams.
Oracle Certview system will show exams taken with Prometric and Pearson VUE. It is derived from the Oracle Certification Database which was initialized from Prometric history. Certview knows about exams and Certifications.
Access to Certview is obtained by your Oracle SSO being account linked with your Oracle Testing Id though a Certview Profile. Certview Profiles are updated via the Pearson VUE website updating the your account which has your oracle Testing Id.
These systems are not real time linked and their are delays while batch updates occur.
Having a single Oracle Testing Id. makes all this go well. Having 2 means chaos results.

  • How can i publish my webpage to a website I just created a page in iweb

how do you setup a webpage using the iweb page i made

You want to publish the website you created so it appears online, right?  Here's what you need to do:
    1 - find a hosting service.
2 - get a domain name. Unless you have a MobileMe account you will need a domain name in order to publish a site and have it accessable online.
3 - get the ftp address of your account on the server, put it into iWeb 3's publish to section and publish your site to the server.
There's a hosting service that inlcude a domain name (free registration) with every account.  Contact HostExcellence.com about their basic package for $3.95/mo (with a 2 year committment).

  • No Registration Using Adobe ID & Password!

I am in an administrator-priviledged user account in (x32) Win XP SP3, on the Internet.  I have my Adobe ID and password in a spreadsheet that is open in one window.  I open the newly purchased, installed, and activated Adobe Acrobat XI Pro in another window and the sub window for Registration of that program is open (either on its own or through the Help menu, it makes no difference) and the boxes for entering my Adobe ID and my Password are showing.  I have opened the webpage "http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html" in another, browser, window, on which I have clicked "Sign In" so it shows the boxes for entering my Adobe ID and my Password in the browser window.
I copy the Adobe ID from the spreadsheet and paste it in the appropriate box in the Registration window and also in the appropriate box in the "Sign In" window of the browser.  I copy the Adobe Password from the spreadsheet and paste it in the appropriate box in the Registration window and also in the appropriate box in the "Sign In" window.  Identical entries in both windows.
I click on the "Sign In" button in the "Sign In" browser window and it returns me to the previous,  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html webpage, but that now says "Welcome .........." and gives my name.
I click on the "Sign In" button in the Acrobat-XI-Pro Registration window and up comes the message, "The Adobe ID and password do not match. Please try again."
My system (x32) uses WinXp SP3.  The Acrobat XI Pro was an upgrade from 9 with the uninstal of 9 done as part of the XI install process in what appears to be the normal way.
Does anyone have any thoughts?  Is this behavior a sign that I will face other problems with Acrobat XI Pro down the road?

    Poo jain or other person:
The exact problem of Oct. 2013 has reoccurred!
In 2013 I apparently solved the problem - apparently entirely by accident later that evening (because I had no need to return to this thread) - but I made no notes of how it was done.  I used Acrobat XI Pro for 14 months, extensively,  with no problems.
Now (10 - 21 Dec 2014) I have the exact same problem as in Oct. 2013.  (I had to uninstall Acrobat XI Pro as installing a recommended Adobe update for it caused a constant stream of error windows to pop up.)  No matter what version of Acrobat XI Pro I now install (11.0.0, 11.0.07 or 11.0.08) I get the problem just as stated above.  (As I got a stream of error windows when originally upgrading to 11.0.09 and then when upgrading to 11.0.10 [but it was a different stream of error windows, as I recall], I do not want to install them.)
It appears I must make a new post to upload the files requested.  The last install of Acrobat (done today, 21 Dec 2014) was version 11.0.07.
Sharing a file:  I found a link involving sharing a file under Community Guidelines, but that link led to instructions that said I could not attach a file to a post.  It said I could share a file by using Acrobat.com, but the link given there led to an Error Page.  I will keep searching for a way to share the files needed and when I find it I will report back here.  I do notice that my most recent install (of version 11.0.07 done today - 21 Dec) is not reflected in amt3.log and the other two files date from Oct 2, 1213, apparently my initial installation.
This is looking like a very dead end that I have spent many days on.  It looks like I must abandon using any Adobe software to manipulate PDF files and PDF-file content and go with software by other manufacturers.
