Promotion and report schedule job goes to pending state

hi everyone,
we are using BO4.1 SP02 Patch 1 platform, suddenly now report schedules and promotion jobs are not promoting and it goes pending state.
we restarted the LCM APS and AJS , but still promotion job in pending state
we also restarted Webi APS and AJS but still schedule in pending state.
anyone faced this problem before, could you please help us to find the cause.
Regards,
Ganesh

HI Ganesh
Can you make it 1 and try out once
Because 1 = OUTPROC and 100 = MIXEDPROC
Outproc causes the job server children to shut down after every job
Mixedproc causes the job server children to shut down after every 100 jobs
and Job server children will be automatically shutdown if left unused for more than 2 hours
Can you check the taskmanager for the jobserverchild.exe is created or not ???
Please get back

  • XL Reporter Scheduled Jobs and connection settings

Company needs to decommission current SQL Server and move to new box.
Company has many XL Reporter scheduled jobs that run on a client machine.
When the new sql server is in place, what will happen to those jobs? The client machine SBO installation will be directed to the new sql server and the license server there. Will the scheduled jobs "know' from the SBO client to go to the new server for data? Or is the connection string somehow encapsulated in the scheduled job such that they will still try to access data on the old server?
    SBO 2007 A SP 00 PL 48
(Yes, I know it's old. There are reasons.)
    TIA.

Your 2nd guess is true: the connection string somehow encapsulated in the scheduled job such that they will still try to access data on the old server. It will not automatically find the new server unless new server has the identical settings.
You probably need to re-schedule those jobs.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Scheduled jobs are in released state only

    Dear Experts,
we shedule jobs in background periodically. But for a particular time, all scheduled jobs are in released state only. Please suggest what might be the issue. Even some SAP std jobs have have not started.

    Hi Raghavendra,
Have you checked enough BTC work process available in your SAP system.
Use SM65 transaction, goto =>Additional Tests ;check mark "Determine work process status" and "Determine no of jobs in queue"
and see the test results for any problems.

  • Logrotion and Backup schedule job does'nt work?

    Hi,
I have schedule the Syslog Logrotation and CiscoWorks backup jobs to run weekly via LMS, but they are not working. BUT I can manually do the log rotation as well as Backups via LMS.
    I am using LMS:3.2; RME:4.3.0
    Thanks

You don't see any other issues?
    Maybe post a pdshow -brief
I would say the jrm is responsible for lauching these jobs, post the jrm.log
Do you see any errors in the dbbackup.log at the time the jobs are scheduled? If so, post  it.
Not sure if it requires the task scheduler services to run. You may want to check if it is on.
    Cheers,
    Michel

  • Scheduled task going to running state in OIM

    hi all,
After running the Target reconciliation it is going to running state ....how to fix this?
    Thank you.

For how much time it shows Running status ?
Check the status of schedule task using http://localhost:7001/xlScheduler if OIM is deployed on weblogic on 7001 port.
I have seen couple of clients who are using OID connector and never heard such issues in OOTB connector.
    Try with restarting the server.

  • Why my BPM related job goes to sceduled state in sxmb_moni?

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing a unique problem in a sample BPM scenario. When I run this scenario my corresponding request in sxmb_moni goes to sceduled state. I have to go to QRFC monitor to unlock it. After this my BPM request runs to success. I am not able to understand why this is happening. Why it does not run in one go without getting locked in QRFC?
My BPM scenario is like this: I am sending a customer number from a ABAP program from SAP R/3 system to XI system via outbound Async interface. This inturn sends customer number to BPM via abstract interface. The BPM then gets customer data from MSSQL server via JDBC adapter and inbound interface.
    This scenario is Async-Sync type.
I don't see any problem with the mapping, interface etc.
The scenario runs successfully once I unlock the request in QRFC monitor.
Can somebody help me identify the reason why my BPM request goes to sceduled state in sxmb_moni?

Can you try activating/registering your queues .
    sxmb_adm -> manage queues -> activate queues / SXMB_ADM -> Manage Queues -> Register Queues.
Also in SMQ2 activate individual queues if any.

  • ODI 11g Scheduled job stays in running state

    Hello All ,
In ODI operator in the integration process ,there arer 3 scenarios scheduled .
When the first is completed it switches to second ,but the next step/process keep running and never comes to an end, though the corresponding backend activity has been completed(which the scenario is supposed to do).
    Which ultimately results into timeout.
Please suggest a solution for this.
    Thanks in advance ,
    ABHIJEET

    Hi,
Actually your syntax is exactly right for running a single run-immediate job.
it looks like the slave running your job may have crashed or terminated unexpectedly. You should do a stop_job (force=>true) on your job and you should look through your job slave trace files j0trc for reasons why your job slave did not finish the job. You can also try grepping your job slave traces for the job name 'TEST_JOB' to find the right trace.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Remodelling job goes in canceled state

    Dear experts,
I'm trying to remodelate a Cube in DEV, but the process (seen via SM37) goes canceled state as soon it started.
I suceeded to remodelate some time ago but now seems to be a different story .. The system is BW 7.01.
    Thanks,
    M

    Hi,
During remodeling time is any loads are loading to your target?
Can you check at your target level and see is there any failed request at info cube level?
Remodeling means your going to add or delete char or key fig.
Can we know what your doing mean adding or deleting?
if your adding info object, what about history data for added info object?
if you need historic data then you can delete the whole data from cube, without remodeling also you can directly add info object into cube and later  you can activate whole data flow.
You need to maintain proper transformations or routine to fill  added info object.
    Thanks

  • Waiting for scheduling job to complete. Job ID...and it never completes

I have created my first Publication. It's a pretty basic single source document, single Dynamic Recipients list publication.
When I run it in Test mode (I haven't tried it in non-Test mode yet), the document(s) are never delivered.
When I view the Log File, everything looks fine. The second and last entry in the log says
"- The global delivery rule for this publication was met; publication processing will now begin."
The Status Message I see in the Publication History is:
"Waiting for scheduling job to complete. Job ID:3,879, name:Unviewed Invoices Report (Copy), kind:CrystalReport in Pending state (FBE 60509) [0 recipients processed.] "  and it never changes. I've tried this several times, creating new publications with the same source documents, and the same thing always happens.
    Any help would be appreciated.

All of the servers were configured correctly.
It turned out to be my source document, a report, had some field in it that BOE didn't like.
I removed a bunch of fields and added them back, one by one, and couldn't make the error occur again.
    Go figure.

  • How to find what sql statement is currently running by scheduler job?

    Hi
I scheduled a stored procedure to run every 5 minutes using dbms_scheduler.
The stored procedure internally call serveral other stored procedures.
The scheduled job is in running state and right now I want to find out what is the sql statement the job executing.
Is there any sql query to find out what is sql query the schedular job is running?? Please help me.
    Thanks in Advance.

The previous sql id is null in this case.
I already quoted as I am running a pl/sql block in my scheduler job.
    begin
    usp_test('praram');
    end;
I am using the pl/sql block as above in my scheduler job. The USP_TEST inturn calls some other stored procedures and each stored procedure has several inserts and update statements.
The scheduler job is still running. I know the sid of the running scheduler job.
I want to know the job is at which stored procedure and at which insert/update statement.
Please let me know is there any query to fulfil my requirement?
    I greatly appreciate your help
    Thanks

  • Batch is in pending state forever

HI i had submitted a batch control LTRPRT through "batch job submission" page ,i had checked the batch job table and found that it is in pending state,I waited for one day and again checked but it was still in pending state
    1.what would be the reason?
2.where can i configure batch server?
3.what are essential settings for batch server?

What CC&B version are you on?
Pre OUAF 2.1 (until CC&B V2.0.5) , you needed the command based cron utility to be running - cdxCronBatch
Post OUAF 2.1, you still have Command based daemon called submitbatch in addition to Online Batch Daemon.
    I assume you are on FW 2.2+, execute %SPLEBASE%\bin\submitbatch -e %SPLENVIRON% -s 60
and look at 753301.1 white paper on Metalink for more details on configuring Online Batch Daemon.

  • STUCK Threads.... Web Logic goes to overloaded state

    Hi,
We are facing production problem with struck threads and WL server is going to overloaded state very frequently. When this happens, we have to restart the server to void this issue. Since we dont know when this problem occurs, our support team has to keep monitor the server all the time.
    The environment details are:
    JRocket:     jrockit160_R28_0_1
    WL:      WebLogic 10.3.0.0
OS:     Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 8)
We are extensively thread using the thread pool in application. These threads are being used to write the logs into DB, file system, monitor the timeout of external connections, etc. The issue has been seen various places like log4j, httpClient, etc. Here am sending the thread dump of an issue.
If you could help what is the an issue, it would be great help.
Thanks for your help in advance

This is your own logging environment?
Well this is what you get when everything is synchronized.
You have to debug the logging in your environment, for example, by using JRockit Mission Control in particular a flight recording
Example of using the flight recording tool can be found here: middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=6930 (Good luck!)

  • Standby CM Hangs in pending state

I have a Standby CM running 4.0.9 that we just installed. Tried to upgrade it to 4.0.19 and it just sat there in pending state for a long time. It appeared to be hung because I couldn't get to it remotely any longer. Rebooted the box and set it up as an AA instead. The game plan was to get it upgraded, then convert it to a Standby CM. So now the box sit's, showing online via the CM as a Standby CM (even though it's set to AA) and it still sits there in pending state. How can I get this resolved? TIA

The Primary CM is running 4.0.19. I managed to blow it away in the Primary CM. Forced a CMS de-registration on the AA. Re-registered it as an AA and got the code upgraded to 4.0.19. (I did hit what I believe is a bug her which I will explain later). Now I need to change it's funtion to a Standby CM but I don't know if I can do this from the Primary CM.
So the bug I hit was that when the WAAS was rebooted to load the new code I lost connectivity for a long time. Check the switch that it was connected to and saw the interface was up/down. Bounced the interface on the WAAS and it came back. Fortunate for me the box is in our DC. Had this been remote I'm not sure a bounce of the switch interface would have worked. FYI - I have my interfaces on an etherchannel with the load-balancing set to ip-dst (round-robin didn't work).

  • Scheduled reports (DeskI) remain in status "Pending" in SP4(FP 4.3)

    Hi,
I am facing a weird problem with a BO XI R2 cluster installation (2 Windows Servers, one CMS, 2 DeskI Job servers on one node) after installing SP4 + FP 4.3. The users are allowed to schedule DeskI reports they created themselves. The scheduling works out fine at the beginning but at some point overnight the DeskI servers (although empty) completely ignore the fact that there are available jobs for scheduling. This means that the DeskI reports remain in status "Pending". Changing the "maximum number of jobs" setting at the CMC in the DeskI job servers properties tab seems to work like a wake-up call and the scheduling starts again. After a while though (can take up to a day to get there) the job servers start again to ignore the pending jobs.
Is this a known issue in SP 4? Anyone had similar experiences two?
Any help/ideas & hints will be highly appreciated.
    Cheers
    Stratos

    Hi Will,
Quote: "In any case, in normal circumstances, you should not having pending jobs if your number of running numbers is below your max number of jobs setting". Exactly this is what we are expecting but the job server seems to sleep not caring about the actual number of pending jobs und wakes up only if we use a high setting (40) for the maximum number of jobs.
Have found some references about similar problems for both the Web Intelligence and the Crystal Report Job Servers but not a real solution so far. It may be a problem with the CMS but I am not really sure. Restarting the CMS does not help neither.
    Cheers

  • How to create schedule job and event trigger in XI to start a ABAP program?

    Dear All:
Here are what i need to do:
1.To run a ABAP program to start an XI scenario per hour.
2.To run a ABAP program to start an XI scenario per day at 6 PM.
3.To run a ABAP program used event trigger to make sure that XI scenario has finished the process and after that wait for 10 min later and run again.
only i know is used sm36 & sm37 to set up a schedule job.
but what i don't know is how to do it step by step.
    especially point 3.
are there any step by step example can show me how?
it better be simple and details...
    thanks you all
    Regards
    Jack Lee

    Hi,
If you want to trigger the event manually from within SAP, use transaction
    SM64
in SAP this is done by scheduling a job
once a new customer is entered
your scheduled report sends customer master data
you can schedule your report (TCODE - BD12 I think) to one day or every 5 minutes... it depend on your needs and the system performence
