Promotion Management schedulation cause space outage in Output Filestore

Hi All,
Recently I had some space outage problem on BO 4.1 server caused probably by Promotion Management nightly schedulation. I've scheduled an export of some reports folder every night to an ftp server, but seems that BO saves lcmbiar files also in local output filestore location.
It takes morer than 50Gb of space and I need to free it, and I'm searching for a safe way to do it. I've also removed promotion job but files still remain on the server, and the RDT didn't give me any inconsistent file.

are you trying to do any Backup strategies with the Promotion Management Application?
Yes, thats true. If you have scheduled the Job nightly there will be an Instance created for this Job. If the PM Job has a size of 50 GB your FRS will be filled pretty quick.

I am trying to schedule a job in Promotion Management but nothing happens. checked the servers and everything ok. I press schedule and nothing happens. Tried in a different browser and localy in the server and from a different machine. Any suggestions ?

Need a little more info to Tshoot this.
What do you mean "Nothing Happens"? when you click on schedule nothing happens?
Can you save the job and see if you are able to save the job?
Could it be a UI issue and can you try using different Browser and different machine and things like that basic tshooting steps.
Can you try with a single object like a UNV/UNX and related connection and see if that woks?

I am using Promotion management tool to migrate report/universes, users group from BI4.1 Prod to BI4.1 Test environment. I am getting the following error when i try to add objects in Promotion Management tool.

Power management schedule reset on startup. How do I stop this? Running 10.6

Having updated to 10.6. The power management schedule setting (created by eyetv) is reset/deleted when the mac mini powers up and shuts down before the scheduled event.
How can I set the power management system to save the settings regardless of how often the mac is started up/shut down in the interim?

NI Configuration Manager: Insufficient disk space to perform backup

Hi,
I'm having an issue with my PXI-8110 controller running LabVIEW Real-Time 10.0.1. On start-up, I receive a message is displayed saying "NI Configuration Manager: Insufficient disk space to perform a backup" This message just appeared. Upon starting an FTP session I was able to see that there is only 181 megs of data on the hard drive. In MAX, when I view the system settings of the remote PXI controller, it says that there are 0 bytes available. I'm not sure why this is the case. I'm not able to deploy any Veristand projects to the controller as a result. Has anyone experienced this problem?

I have now had 2 different systems develop this exact error. After the first occurrence, I assumed that it was a problem with the HD and replaced it. Now, I am starting to worry that there may be an issue with the file management routines in LabVIEW RT. I understand how to fix the issue, but do you have any idea of what causes the issue. In my application, I create a temporary file to store DAQ data then save the data to a log file. After a test is complete, the log file is transferred to a "Host" computer and the process is started again by the user when they initiate a new test. My question: can the continuous creating and deleting of temporary files be causing the file management in the RT system to become corrupt?
It is annoying for a customer to have to go through the process of formatting the hard drive and re-installing the software. Not to mention that it makes the software appear to have issues... Which it may have, but I have been very careful to close and open new files as to not develop open file references.
Any Thoughts?

Promotion Management Push or Pull?

Hi Pro's,
I would like to know what's the best practice when using Promotion Management in the Central Management Console (CMC) with regards to what server to use to host the Promotion Management jobs. Source (push) or destination (pull) ?
Lets say I'm migrating folders, reports and dashboards from Development (source) to QA (destination) on the same network, do I:
Create the Promotion Management jobs on Development (push)
or create the Promotion Management jobs on QA (pull)?
The outcome should be exactly the same.

When You are migrating object from same version of SAP BO server. that time Promotion management toll will be helpful. Through Promotion Management Tool, Both can be possible (source and destination as well. But generally you have to go to the destination server and connect to source system and then select object which you want to migrate and promote it. You also can scheduled promote.

How to remove the extra space in the output pdf file?

Hi All
In our RTF layout template we have both static content and dynamic content.
In RTF template we have used many if-else,choose,For each loops.
On the account of that,In the output pdf file, we are getting lot of empty space in the place of that coding(if-else,choose,For each loops).
Is there anyway to reduce the space in the output pdf file?
Please suggest some ideas.

White space is NOT your friend!
Make sure you don't have any unwanted whitespace between commands and especially tagged on the end of lines. Chain your commands together with no whitespace and let them wrap, do not enter carriage returns.

BADI for Claims search in trade promotion management

Hi Experts,
I am enhancing the Claims search in trade promotion management with a custom field. I added a custom field in the search screen of claims.
I want to filter the records based on that custom field. The component is BT311S_CSR and the search query is BTQCSR.
Is there any BADI for claims so that I can filter the records.
I tried to put a breakpoint in the badi CRM_BADI_RF_Q1O_SEARCH and searched but it is not stopping.
Does this badi works for claims? Or first do i have to create a implementation with the filter object as BTQCSR then try to check whether it will stop in the badi while searching the claims.

Now this becomes tricky. Since your requirement is very specific there is no way that standard sap can help. You may end up in enhancing n number of classes.
I can propose a solution though Please put of in front of your business/ functional team and then go ahead..
Now we will change our approach...Please follow below steps:
1. Add a altogether new field to your claim transaction using AET for sales office (description as 'Sales Office').
2. Make this field search and result relevant.
3. Whenever a sold to party is selected for claim transaction, based on the sold to party you would set value of this field.
4. Since your field is search relevant it will automatically appear in your search query (control this in view configuration.)
5. You may or may not display this field to end user in claim detail screen, You can control this by configuration.
6. Depending on your requirement you can show/hide standard sales office field in search query.
If you follow this approach then it will serve the purpose.

Extra white spaces in JSP output

Hi,
          My JSPs contain a large use of JSTL and other custom Tags.
          The problem is that the output contains too many new lines and spaces.
          I found out that APACHE Tomcat has a servlet parameter (trimSpaces=true) that solved this problem.
          Does Weblogic (9.1) have something similar ?
          Does JSPC / APPC have a special options that can solve this ?

Before diving into this, one thing I would ask you: Why does it matter if there are extra spaces? Did you determine that your primary users are using a slow connection? Before trying to optimize this, make sure that you really have a problem to solve. You might try saving off the currently generated HTML into a test page, and compare it to a similar one with all ignorable spaces removed. If you see no difference in performance, then don't bother doing this.
          Nevertheless, one strategy for reducing empty space in JSP output is to put the ends of the JSP directives and actions on the next line, with no newlines after them.
          For instance, a pair of lines like this:
          <%@page import="foo.bar" %>
          <%@page import="bar.foo" %>
          Would be instead:
          <%@page import="foo.bar"
          %><%@page import="bar.foo"
          %>

If you have Sol Man installed in your project, you might find configuration documents over there. Also, there should be implementation guide provided to your client when they purchased TPM There is no ConfigGuide for TPM yet.

CMC - Promotion Management Tool

Hi,
I created a user account in CMC for promotion management tasks. Promotion is successful only if the user is a member of Administrator. I have given all rights for the user under CMC--->Application -->Promotion Management tools.

Yes Veena, I think Users may not have to be part of Administrators group in order to promote the content from one environment to another if they are provided with access to the Promotion Management through CMC>Applications area and also if they have access to the content to be promoted.
Refer to Promotion management section(15.1.3 Application Access Rights) of the below guide for more details on granting access to other users to promotion management.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have modified the ITAB with that logic and I see the indentation now (in Debug Mode of T_PLAN).
However, when I display the ALV output though, it disappears.
I am using the following method.
