Prompt on dock says update, but no internet.....?

Occasionally, I see a prompt on my dock ( i-mac ).  It is a photoshop logo with a large X on it.  It also says: update.   When I click onto that ,  it tells me that I have no internet connection.  Obviously my network is always on.
What does this mean ?
Thanks,
Gregory Crawford

And what does this have to do with InDesign, which is the topic of this forum? Try the Photoshop forum.
