Hi Divyesh,
There is no specific procedure for dashbord with prompt on mobile.
Create Dashboard as we normally do and make sure to use the mobile supported components and connections.
Check the mobile compatibilty tab for components that you have used but are not supported.
And check the dat manager for connections. Ones marked with * are supported.
Save the dashboard to platform for desktop and mobile.

Activating mobile datanetwork not possible after downloading 3.1.2 software

Hello,
Realy hope someone can help me out here. I just installed the 3.1.2 software on my i phone 3G and now i cant use internet anymore! Everytime i try its giving me the message "mobiel datanetwerk activeren niet mogelijk" wich means activating mobile datanetwork not possible. Realy weird because i didnt change anything other than downloading this software.
Does anyone know how i can solve this?

Prompting issues on dashboard pages

I have a 3 page dashboard that conform to a form of hierarchy
-- Page one summarises the highest level of date by month (based on a dashboard prompt)
-- Page two shows the middle level of data based on a prompt from Page one
-- Page three shows the lowest level of data based on a prompt from Page two
For example:
Page 1 shows Car sales by Maker (Ford, Chrysler VW etc), clicking on one of these will take you to Page 2 which shows the sales per Model (Focus, Fusion, Taurus etc) and clicking on one of these will take you to Page 3 which shows the sales by Package (S, SE, SES, SEL etc).
This all seems to work fine, the date selected on Page 1 is passed to the other pages. The problem arises when I go back to Page 1 after drilling-down to either Page 2 or 3. Returning to Page 1 after this means that the chart & table there only shows data for the Maker for the Model and Package selected on Pages 2 & 3.
The only prompted field on Page 1 is the "month" field that takes its prompt from the dashboard prompt, I can't see why this is picking up selections from the drill-down & not just returning the full data set. Can anyone help?

Hmmm, further Googling suggests it may be an issue with Dashboard Page State Persistence in config.xml. Has anyone else come across this?

They're column based & each page has a seperate report. I hadn't protected the filters on the top level report - I have now & that seems to have sorted it.
Thank you, that was really bugging me. We're still in UAT & all these little niggles that aren't in the manuials are cropping up.

Clear the Prompt values in dashboard page

Hi Experts,
In our Dashboard page has 5 different table view report with Prompt option for each reports and clear filters option, when I click the any clear filter option it affect all the (5) prompts.
But I want to clear for each prompts separately, is it possible means pls tell me how to fix this issue.

In implementing Clear button functionality, I think your using PersonalizationEditor.removeDefaultSelection (provided with samplesales).
This logic is similar to Clear Selections in Page Options. So, upon clicking this (both) it will refresh total page.
As far as I know, it can be implemented if we can able to identify section id. (too advanced).
You can get more information about the BI inbuilt methods defined in Java Script file.

Note: Careful if your trying to make any changes. Better to have a backup of it.

Prompts issue in Dashboard

Hi All
I need your advice immediately.
We want to add two prompts in dashboard and both the prompts is of the same column.
ie : Freeze Period , i am not able to add this prompt for the 2nd time , is there a way i can add it for the 2nd time?
Please suggest me asap.

Hi Mano,
This is how I did at my work place....instead of creating logical column in RPD and all the way through the process....
IF you want to drag the same column as 2 prompts...within the prompts page you can do like this.....
First Add the column (in mycase which is number data type) and lable the lable1, then drag any other column that is also the same data type and put the name as LAble2 and copy the formula expression from label1 (ie..table.columnname) to Lable2 forula expression...
Basically you are using the same column with different names..thats it...I hope this helps and this is what you are looking for...

Prompt Preview and Dashboard prompt Date Format.

Hi,
When seen in its preview, a Dashboard prompt based on Date data type is shown using format 'mm/dd/yyyy' which is the expected format. However, when seen on a dashboard page, the prompt's format becomes 'yyyy/mm/dd'.
Does anyone have idea how to fix this or what could be the reason?

In the prompt window there was a little clock icon symbol. I first had to go to the BI admiistration in the physical and change (the specific column/field) from a timestamp to date. We also needed to a default date to be applied to our application so I created a global variable and made it a string so that it would appear in the application in the format like you stated in your thread: Select to_char(sysdate,'mm/dd/yyyy') from dual. But overall I think the real trick was changing the physical from a timestamp to date.

Popups / User Prompts In Mobile Projects?

Is there a quick way prompt the user in mobile projects? For example, if a user forgets to enter a field in a form before clicking the submit button. I've reviewed some of the mobile project examples and noticed that it's usually handled in a separate view (the Employee Database comes to mind). Is there a way to do it with a popup of some sort rather than pushing another view???

Prompt requirement in dashboard

Hi Experts,
I have one requirement,
We have one dashboard page in that 6 reports are there and also we have one prompt ( in prompt values Y, N ). if we select Y then first 3 reports should display in dashboard page
remaining should be disable, if we select N then second 3 reports should be display
How will get this in dashboard please help me on this

Prompts issue in Dashboards

Hi All
We have an issue in Dashboards.
We have five dashboards for Project Accounting module.
For all the five dashboards we have five different prompts. For couple of prompts we have selected default values and this varies from one dashboard prompt to the other.
Now the issue is , when the user navigates from one dashboard to the other , assuming from 1st to 2nd , the 2nd dashboard prompt is taking the 1st dashboard prompt values as default even though that is not what we have selected as default value. Why is this happening?
Ex: Freeze Month is the dashboard prompt and we have two values "20-FEB-2012" , "15-MAR-2012" as values.
1) For 1st dashboard both the values has been selected as default values for the user.
2) For 2nd dashboard only "15-MAR-2012" has been set as default value.
However when user navigates to the 2nd dashboard , the 1st dashboard values are appearing as default which shouldnt happen.
Hope my explanation is clear , can somebody help me on this.

Try to duplicate the filter columns(at rpd) for each dashboard and see. In that case the values will not be passed from one dashboard to another. for eg. Freeze Month_Dash1, Freeze_Month_Dash2, etc.

UC560 Extension Mobility Logon Button, Possible?

Is it possible to have either a softkey or replace a line button with an Extension Mobility logon button?
Our customer has UC560 (CME 8.1) with SPA504G handsets.

yeah I would like to know this too, its crazy that you have to go so deep into the menu to just logon or off.
I thought that's what the login softkey was for!

Filter Page Prompts based on Dashboard Prompts Presentation Var

I have a requirement where in I need to filter the multi-select values in the page prompt, based on the presentation variable that is set by dashboard prompt. Oracle said that its a bug,
that once a presentation variable is set, we can't use that in SQL, when using multi select. But, I am wondering if anyone has some work around solution for this?
TO be more clear, here is the explanation.
I have a dashboard prompt that is selected initially in a page, which sets a presentation variable. Now, in another page, I want to use a multi-select prompt, which take the SQl values that filters based on the presentation variable set initially. But, this is not working. I am not able to filter values when I use the SQl like, "select .. from ..where var = presentation_var."
If anyone has any workarounds, thats appreciated.

Sorry, no such functionality, at least not yet.
Build two dashboards, one for the business users and one for the technical users. Then build a third "cover page" dashboard with two links using the Link or Image object. One link will say "Business Users" the other "Technical Users" and the links will take them to their own dashboard with just the prompts that concern them.
If you want to bypass the "cover page" idea, you can use Portal Path to direct all business users to the "business" dashboard and the technical staff to the "technical" dashboard based on their login.

Prompt scope between dashboards

I have several dashboards with the same prompt.
User have to re-select his prompt filters each time he move between the dashboards, since the prompt can be only in the scope of certain dashboard.
How can make it in the scope of all my dashboards?
I considered using presentation\session variable to save the selection and then in the request criteria ask 'is equals to' variable instead of 'is promt'.
The problem s that I have multi selection prompts.
Any ideas?

No, if it is a multi-select prompt, you can not re-use the inputs across multiple dashboards. But my question is, if the prompt is same that means it is coming from the same subject area. Thus the reports where the column is prompted also comes from the same Subject Area. Then why can't we have those different dashboards converted as dashboard pages under the same dashboard. I understand there might be access restrictions, but you can control access at Dashboard Page level also.
Please let me know if this workaround works.

Authentication Prompt on Mobile Devices

On my public facing SharePoint 2013 site, I have anonymous authentication enabled, however mobile devices are prompted to authenticate credentials when they visit the site.
All non-mobile devices the site without receiving the authentication prompt, regardless of the browser it uses. Mobile Browser view is deactivated.
I did trace the connection through Fiddler and it looks as though I am getting 3 401 errors when the mobile browser tries to load the page. These errors are triggered when the browser tries to access a css and 2 js files. When I traced the connection
from a pc, I received 404 not found errors when the browser tries to access these files. I'm trying to find where those files are located at, to check to see if they are there or if permissions to that folder/files is the issue, but am still trying to get
an understanding of where the files are stored (I'm still a SharePoint newbie). Based on the info from Fiddler, they are stored at /ui/1.10.4/jquery-ui.js HTTP/1.1, however I don't see that folder in the site contents and structure when I search the site settings
of the SharePoint page.
Lastly, mobile devices had been able to access the page fine for several months, however several server updates and patches were applied to our SharePoint environment recently, which coincided with this issue starting.

According to your description, it continues to prompt for authentication When Windows users tries to connect from mobile devices.
For your issue:
Close all instances of your browser, restart your browser.
If you use apple products with ios8. The problem is Safari.
It works fine under ios8 when using Chrome.
You can change windows authentication to basic authentication.
