Prompted 'Warning' when launching Photoshop Elements 8

Please help! I had downloaded Adobe Elements Inspiration browser (Trial). But when i tired to launch it, there would be a pop-up that said, 'Warning, The Elements Inspiration Browser works best when launched directly from your Adobe Elements Software. Please open Photoshop or Premiere Elements 7 and open the inspiration browser from there.
Does that means that i have to download Premiere Elements 7? Kindly advise.

You access the inspiration browser from the Help Menu in either Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements.

A window opened indicating that many of the photos had tags, and asking if I wanted to add the tags. I said yes, and the process began. When it reached 60% a window opened indicating that "Elements 13 Organizer has stopped working", with the only option being to "Close program."
I've since tried to open organizer several times, but it goes immediately to "Elements 13 Organizer has stopped working". I was able to open Editor, and tried opening Organizer from Editor, but encountered the same problem.
FYI, I have an open case (#0214505556), but have not received the help I need.

This issue is with respect to Elements 13.

Installation OK but nothing happend when launching Premiere Elements 13

I have an issue when launching Premiere Elements 13.
Installation was ok, serial ok.
When launching
- i choose Premiere instead Organizer
- Pop up ask me to connect to my Adobe id account to activate => next
- i enter my id for connection => ok
- Software License Agreement => I agree
And then nothing happen, the dialog box close and ... nothing.
I work on win7 64bits.
I buyed both Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements together.
I install Photoshop on my job computer and i install Premiere on my personnal computer.May it come from here.

Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 64 bit.
Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements? And are you running the programs as administrator?
Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?

I now am able to open the old catalog again!! I tried now several times with the new shortcut.
Thank you very much indeed for ALL YOUR EFFORT and patients with me.
You suggest now I should click on the repair button. When I do so, the catalog will be overwritten, or I can choose not to overwrite and than the catalog will be twice as big. So I decided not to click on the repair button. When I see afterwards that some functions do not work anymore, I allways can use the repair button. As far as I can see now nothing is lost.. )
As far as I understood it is only possible to repair with a backup. Happily I made that allways, but I am afraid to use it, for the reason above.
When I have more time to spare, I will look for all the foto's from the apps of my cellphone and delete them.
Now I can finish my fotowork, what I had started before, and make Photoshop Elements again the main fotoprogram on my desktop.

OpenGL issue when launching Photoshop CS5 Extended from Lightroom?

I noticed about 2 weeks ago that the scrubby zoom and rotate commands stopped working. Obviously OpenGL was not
enabled and was greyed out, not letting me enable it. I have a 295GTX video card with dual GPU's and I have updated all drivers NVidia 280.26. When I went through the Adobe troubleshoot doc I reset my preferences/defaults by holding <CTRL><ALT><SHIFT> when launching Photoshop and it allows me to enable it. I can even open a bunch of images and everything works but only if I open them FROM within Photoshop. If I pick an image from Lightroom (Latest Version) and launch it to photoshop it will not allow me to run OpenGL features any longer and the only way I can get it to work again is to reset it doing the <CTRL><ALT><SHIFT> move.
Any suggestions or knowlege of issues / bugs?

As a temporary workaround, you can uninstall the driver and try using an earlier release. Sometimes they break new things with new releases.

Ralph9430 offers a good suggestion. But you may need to do this before taking his advice:
Check in iPhoto's Preferences (which you can open from the iPhoto menu). Look in General, and make sure "Connecting Camera Opens" is set to "Image Capture").
If it is set to "iPhoto", you won't be able to get to Image Capture easily.

Trouble launching photoshop elements 13

I'm having trouble launching photoshop elements 13. I'm on a PC and I'm double clicking on where it says setup.exe, it then asks me to sign on with Adobe ID and I do that and then I just have a circle of small boxes showing on my screen.

See if this helps any. Substitute 13 for 12 in the file path:

I just bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. I have a Macbook and I have Mac OS X 10.6.8. When I attempt to install this software I get the error below. I restarted and try a few more times and got the same error. Any suggestions?

Did you remove the bits of the failed install before going on? Try creating a new admin account for the install. If that doesn't work, try doing a fresh download from Adobe's site. Even if you bought the boxed version you can install the trial and enter your serial number.

My serial number is not accepted when installing Photoshop Elements 12.

I just purchased and downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac. The serial number provided, which I entered by copying and pasting when prompted, is not recognized as a valid serial number. Please help.

Can't Launch Photoshop elements 12

Installed Elements 12 on a Win 8.1 computer and the installation seemed to go perfectly. Brand new paid for serial number, all antivirus disabled, no other active adobe or other programs... BUT when I click on editor or organizer - nothing launches - driving me crazy. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still same outcome. I note others here have this problem. I've called adobe about 2 years ago with the same problem on photo elements 10 and they never solved it. Hope it was solved on Elements 12 with Win 8.1 - Come on Adobe Please PLEASE troubleshoot this. Wasted over 3 hours trying to use photoelements 12. There is a cause and there is a solution please post it. I added this question in support of others with the same problem - you are not alone.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH - SOLUTION:
I have found a workaround. I am so relieved. Solution - forget the shortcut adobe gives you on the desktop of windows 8.1, forget the WINDOWS 8.1 start menu shortcut too. I found that if I went to the C drive programs folder where the adobe folder exists then browse to the executable files for the editor ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe") and in a separate folder for the organizer ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe") - then right click on each executable file and send a shortcut for each to the desktop, then click on each. The editor will ask your username (email address) and password again ONCE then from then on it will open editor for you. The organizer shortcut does something different, it requires a download of a microsoft component that loads, then, from that point forward the organizer shortcut works too. this is an adobe programming error of some sort. but the workaround above appears to work really well. good luck!

"Failed to initialize" error message when installing Photoshop Elements 12

Hi,
I kepe getting an error message when trying to install Photoshop elements 12. I have re-downloaded the files multiple times from different places and none work so I know it isn't a corrupted file. Tried a system restart. Tried using support advisor but it found no issues.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.9 on a 2012 Macbook Pro that meets system requirements.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I have gone through the install logs and the error I am getting is 'PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path'. I have gone to the PDApp folder and it does not have any permissions on it. I have gone to the folder PDApp and it doesn't have any permissions, I'm not sure what to do from here. The PDApp folder is a alias that leads to the Adobe Application Managers folder. Sorry for the font being bold, it wouldn't turn off after pasting the error message.

Color space change when using photoshop elements plug in

When I select photo and edit with photoshop elements, Aperture makes a copy of the file as expected, but I can see the image color/hue etc. has changed, why? Is there some setting I am missing? The color of the image shouldn't change, should it? Just doesn't make sense!

Where do you see the color change of the copy?
In the thumbnail or preview before it is send to the external edtor?
When the image is opened in the external editor?
Or after it is send back from the editor?
I do not see any color changes when I use PS CS5; it may help to see a screenshot.
