Prompting for Bluetooth Password - I never set one???

My blackberry 8830 WE is constantly prompting me for a numeric or alphanumeric password to connect to my Acura's Hands Free Device. The problem is, I never set one. How I can I either reset the password or disable the feature?

Thanks for the reply on the default code. I determined that the issue was with the Acura and not the phone. I went in and deleted all paired phones. I still had issues getting through the voice prompts because it kept kicking me out. However, I finally was able to get through the prompts, establish a passcode, and reestablish my bluetooth connection. Not a fun process, but I should be good to go.

Backup asks for password but never set one

All of a sudden, iPhone back up asks for password even though I never set one. When I click on "cancel" on the sign-on screen then it starts back up anyway. How can I avoid the unecessary delay in the back up process?

New iPad asking for passcode but I never set one - how do I unlock a code never set?

Just got my new iPad yesterday, have no kids or anyone else around who would mess with it while I'm in another room - go to wash the dishes, come back and it's asking me for a passcode to unlock. I had it running all last night - turned off, turn on, sync with macbook pro, blah blah blah, everything is great until tonight. What's going on? How do I unlock it?

Is your iPad new in the sense of being brand new or is it the latest generation?
If you do not have very much on it you could connect it to iTunes on your computer (if you use one) and on the screen that pops up starting with the Summary tab click on the Restore button further down. Be sure to set it up as a new device? You will lose any saved data but at least it will unlock your device. Alternatively, you could could do it through Settings on your ipad. Either way, you my have to redownload your purchased apps again.

Is it asking for your Apple ID password or the passcode to unlock the phone?

How can I set my iphone to prompt for a password when viewing a selected email account?

I can see a lot of people complaining about adhoc password entry when using email but nothing where people actually want to be prompted for a password. If I have multiple email accounts and a phone where others can pick up and enter the top level security 4 digit number, I would like one of the email accounts to be slightly more secure than the others, hence need it to prompt for a password. Does anybody have any ideas how I can do this?

Try erasing the device using iCloud.com - assuming that you were using iCloud and the Find my iPhone app on the device.

Has anyone got any idea if there's a default passcode as I have never set one myself. I have tried many simple codes i.e. 1234 but nothing seems to work

I have just done the iOS 7 update to my disabled son's iPad, which he uses every day for therapies, and now its suddenly asking for a passcode too! After update had finished there was jut suddenly this keypad on the screen asking for passcode, and I have never had or set one before!
Madame as you I tried generic ones, 0000, 1234 etc and all I managed to do was get the iPad disabled from entering too many wrong codes!
Ridiculous that this update sets a passcode lock yet doesn't inform you in any way of what it is!
I have been locked out for days now and I don't know how to get in!
Now apple have release iOS 7.0.2 as a "bug fix" which excited me when I initially saw it this morning but turns out their idea of a big fix for this passcode problem is to create a fix that stops people being able to bypass the passcode!!
God I wish I COULD bypass the thing, but I can't and yet that's what apple decides to do a big fix for, not the fact that I and from what I can see online, many others, have been locked out of our own devices since doing their stupid iOS 7 update!!
Links that are for forgotten passcodes are no help at all as they are for people who have had one and forgotten it, when you plug your device into iTunes, if you've ever created a passcode, there is a button you can see to "change passcode" but for me this is grayed out because I have never created one!
If anyone has solved this problem above, although not exactly the same as mine, pleas please reply and help!
Or if you've seen talk and fixes about this same issue with iOS 7 update please let me know? My son really needs his iPad! I'm also too scared now to update my iPhone in case same thing happens and I'm left without a phone!

Have you encrypted the backups files from your iPad? If so, that is likely the password needed.

That would be the password for your FTP server. You can only get this from your web hosting company. You should contact your web hosting company and ask them for your FTP Publishing details.
Then select your web site name at the top of the list of web pages in iWeb. You'll see input fieldd for your FTP details. Enter what you get from your web hosting provider in those fields.

I fixed it!!
While not connected to any USB cable I put the iPad in recovery mode.
To do that turn the iPad completely off. Press and hold the home button while turning the iPad on, once you see the apple logo release the home button.
Turn on your OS X mac after it boots up connect the USB from iPod to Mac. iTunes should start. If not launch itunes.
Perform the factory restore process paying attention to all of the screen message windows. Then set up the ipad like it was new.

I had no issue putting in my new Apple ID everywhere else, I could sign out of the old and inactive account and then sign back in using my new and proper one. However, after the update to 7.3 it did a whole welcome to yr iPad and a set up thing and it went to set up iCloud and had my old Apple ID in grey where I can't change or edit it, it wants the password, when I put in the old password, it say yr Apple ID is incorrect but yet it won't let me change it??????? Sign out and back into your apple id from Settings>iTunes and App stores>(Your apple ID)>Sign Out and then sign in again with the new address. Close app store from running in the background (or restart the phone if your unsure how to do this). If when trying to update any apps they are still asking for the old apple ID, delete and re-install those apps.
