Proper quicktime component to view footage

Since the search tool is currently down, I thought I'd post this here since I haven't heard any answers on the quicktime discussion board:
I recently shot some footage with the Sony EX1. I have been able to transfer the footage to quicktimes but for some reason I cannot view the footage in final cut or quicktime. I have quicktime 7.5 but when I try to view the footage in quicktime it is a black screen telling me to get the proper component on the apple site and in final cut it is just a white screen in the viewer when i select a clip. Any idea which component it is that i need?
If it is of importance, the camera produces MXF files and the codecs on the quicktime files are called XDCAM EX 720p24 (35 Mb/s VBR), Integer (Big Endian), Timecode. Thanks.

6.0.2 introduces support for the EX components BUT you need the Sony plugin:

This plugin states that it is recommended for FCP 6.0.3 and above.

"Missing HD QuickTime Component"

After recently performing a clean install of Leopard, I'm getting an error in iMovie HD 6.0.4 when I try to create a 720p project:
"The QuickTime component to view, edit, import and export high-definition movies is not installed. It is included with the iMovie HD installer; please re-install."
I've reinstalled iMovie from the original media, but I still get the same error. A little digging suggests that this might be to do with the appleintermediatecodec.component file, which I don't have on my system.
Anyone got any ideas?

Scrap that - I found the file in the Library/QuickTime folder of an old Tiger backup. I have no idea why iMovie HD wasn't reinstalling it, though.

In CRM 7.0 EhP1, Perform Check showed error in UI Configuration that:
"Context Node Attribute does not exist: STRUCT.ZZFIELD in Object type: BP_ACCOUNT, Subobject type: ZZI5TEEWCONTACT
Role Config Key: <DEFAULT>, Component Usage: <DEFAULT>".
Please help on how to resolve this.

I selected the edit button, which lauched the UI Config tool. I noticed that the field attribute properties is not Hidden.
I do not see an assignment to Design layer. I tried to add Assignment.
Selected the object type BP_ACCOUNT & expanded it. But did not find the sub objectype ZZI5TEEWCONTACT.
What is the assignment I should make?
Information I'm looking for is to how to work with the transaction. It is intuitive, but I'm looking for information as to how to navigate to various places and fix issues.
For Eg: Error during check of component BP_EEW view RelEL was the error message.
I couldn't find any clue to proceed with this.
Please tell me the needful information I should be equipped with to understand & resolve issues.

Viewing footage on desktop and external monitor at same time

Maybe i'm missing something, but is there any way to view footage simultaneously on your desktop monitor and your external broadcast monitor (via blackmagic output)?
Right now when I enable mercury transmit, the viewer within speedgrade goes to grey and I can only see the footage on the external monitor. This makes it impossible to draw custom shapes around objects (rather than just use the stock circle masks) which I use quite a bit...I would like to have the view on both monitors like I have in resolve.
If this isn't possible, is there a quick shortcut to toggle mercury transmit on and off without having to go into the settings menu?
Any help would be appreciated...I am enjoying a lot of the controls that are in speedgrade but there are some workflow hurdles that I need to get over in order to be able to use effectively in client sessions from time to time.

I waited expectantly and patiently for Adobe to enable Mercury Transmit in SG and to be able to make use of my BM card and external monitor.
O.K we got it in CC2014.1...but it is either Mercury Transmit or Dual Display!
I think this half-arsed solution is an absolute fail that we cant use desktop and an external monitor simultaneously.
Has anyone on the SG team actually been in a real world CC and Grade Suite?
At least we got consistency with the blue color scheme if not how Mercury Transmit works across the suite of apps.

Making a component to view my Own Map !!

I am developing a website with jsf and richfaces, but now, I'm in a state that I need to show a detailed map of my city to the user. I looked around to find a component that make it work, but I couldn't find one!
Is there anyway to show my own detailed map (except google map) in a jsf component and what is it?!?
or, if there is not one, how can I make a component that gives an image as input map, and makes available zooming in and out on the map, and selecting a point.
my second question is, how can I visualize addressing??! I mean that, how can I let user to make an area selection on the map and I write the address with the user's selection ?

Such a JSF component doesn't exist yet. Look at the Google map API and integrate it. Basically JSF components does nothing much else than taking some variables and outputting some plain vanilla HTML, so it shouldn't be that hard to put all the HTML/JS of the Google API together in a JSF component.

Well, it actually depends on your configuration. The Interaction Center does not have a "home page" per se. Rather you can configure which screen shows up first. Normally though it is the Identify Account (customer search screen). Depending on your CRM release you can press the F2 button to get the technical details for any screen or field. Just a tip.

Standard WD ABAP component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT View CNR_VIEW

I have one application using the standard component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT View CNR_VIEW. Having two buttons Save and Close.
I need to add a pop up message to close button.
But when I look into the view of the component I am not able to see any button UI element over there. Insted i a seeing one transparent container but no buttons.

I would strongly recommend you to go through the [FPM cooKbook |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/90f3cfd2-46d0-2b10-b3ab-eabf3452cc50]to read about how FPM works and how it is configured.
Once you navigate to Component Configuration of OIF component then you can add Save button as a toolbar element.
Do you know your WD component name which is being called from the application. if yes then you can navigate to Process_Event method of component Controller. This method comes when your component implements the interface IF_FPM_UI_BUILDING_BLOCK.
In Process_Event method you can write code for Save and Close event handling, code would be something like this -
CASE io_event->mv_event_id.
WHEN if_fpm_constants=>gc_event-save. "Save button is clicked
* you coding for pop up
When if_fpm_constants=>gc_event-close. "close button is clicked
* you coding for pop up
Endcase.

Scrolling component into view programmatically without using javascript

Hi,
Is it possible to scroll an adf component into view programmatically without using javascript?
I know of <af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehaviour> that can be added to a command component , but is there a way to do that programmatically in a bean?
Problem with using javascript is its not guaranteed to work in different browsers.

If i use the af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehavior, then i wont be able to achieve my desired functionality.
In my use case, i want the id, of the component that needs to be scrolled into view, to be determined in the server listener of the button which is not happening.
Code snippet in jspx page is as follows:

And the java code for method doScroll is something like :

So, the problem here is "compId" is set to some value when bean is loaded and the id in the af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehavior will be set to that value forever.
I cant find any way of telling it to re-read the "compId" value, say after clicking the button. I can refresh the button in the server listener to update the compId .
But the updated compId will come into picture from *next click*. This is because, after the button is clicked, "scroll" action happens first and then serverListener executes.
Is there a way to change order of this execution like "execute server listener first and then do the scrolling thing" ?

1. Download the Component from Service market place
2. Uncar it and put it in EPS\in directory
3. Use the transaction SAINT to install the component

no you should transcode those files into an format that os suitable for editing. Like proRez. Although you might need some Flip4Mac or perian or something to do the conversion.

Anyone know how to use the QuickTime Component Manager

I have been reading that you can somehow enable the DV out in QuickTime to play video out via Firewire, but have had no luck. I guess by using the Quicktime Component Manager you can enable certain features and disable certain features. Does anyone have any idea on how to do this? Thanks everyone for the help.

You can send a .dv file over Firewire (back to a camera for example) using iMovie.
Maybe if your better explained your objective we could offer some suggestions.
Many third party hardware devices can also be used to move .dv files to tape drives (like a VCR) or send the signal to broadcast devices.

QuickTime Component problem for iMovie'08

We developed a QuickTime component for importing our format video into iMovie. It works well with iMovie HD, but does not work with iMovie '08 now. When I want to import our video format files into iMovie'08, I cann't select them.
And in the meantime, I find that the ElectricImageComponent, apple's sample code, also got the same problem.
I think perhaps iMovie '08 need some new features of QuickTime component. Am I correct?

It seems that imovie 08 is extremely sensitive to the purity of quicktime. with one or two 3rd party component/codecs it fails to launch or import from camera. Hope apple addresses this issue.
