Proper Way to Set Up DNS

Windows Server 2008.
I have two domains (goodnewsjail.org and gnbristol.org).  Workstations in one domain are assigned IPs of the form 10.251.0.x and in the other 192.168.1.x.  I have installed DNS, DHCP, and WINS on the domain controllers in both domains.  Both
domains are on the same WAN (a branch office VPN tunnel).  I have created a forward lookup zone for both domains on the DCs of both domains, and the workstations and their addresses show up in these zones when in the Server  Manager console.
HOWEVER, when I try to ping a workstation in one domain from a workstation in the other domain, the ping does not resolve, unless fully qualified.What must I do to make sure all names resolve across the domains.  What settings have I missed?  I would
really appreciate the help!  Thanks.

Hi,
When you provide a server name without DNS suffix, the name will either be resolved via Wins or append its own DNS suffix. So,
a server name from another domain cannot be resolved. You can configure DNS suffix via GPO:

  • Proper way to set up an InDesign document for performance?

    Hello there,
    I'm wondering if I am using the product wrong, because I am having a heck of a time with the performance of my documents grinding my computer to a halt.
    I'm starting a new project, it's a 92 page book. On each page will be one or two *hi-res* pieces of art, at around 450dpi. Multiply this by 92, and you get something big. In the past I have simply placed the artwork which creates a link back to the original, and update the original as needed. However the last time I did this, when I got to like page 22, the InDesign document was no longer usable, it just killed the PC (a modern one).
    In that case I was placing Adobe Illustrator .ai files. Maybe that was the reason? In this case, I need to place PSD files.
    So my questions are a) what's the best way to place the files and b) what format should I place the PSDs? I need to export this in PDF form for print.
    Thanks for any help! It's been ages since I've done print work.

    Well, there a couple of vague statements in your question, but I am going to take a quick stab at it before we get into that.
    Yes, when you drop an image (photo, illustration, etc.), into an InDesign file it creates a link and you can edit the original as needed and it will be updated in the InDesign file.
    First make sure you're updating the files one at a time. Select the element you want to "fix", click Edit> Edit Original and make your changes. Save the original file, then check in with the InDesign file and see that the image has updated, then move onto the next.
    Second you can set up these linked files to display within InDesign as low-res versions to keep your system running faster. Give that a try also. You can set it up from View > Display Performance or by Right clicking on the image and selecting Display Performance > Fast Display.
    As for the vague statements, because others will ask.
    What version of InDesign?
    What type of system specifically? Processor, Ram, Video Card, Video Ram, etc.
    What is it doing to your system? Locks, crashes, explodes into pieces?
    p.s.
    Why 450 dpi files?
    What type of files? Tiff, PDF, JPEG, etc?

  • What is the proper way to set up to capture from Flash cards?

    I'm using a 7D for video. This camera uses flash cards. When I choose 'capture' from the file menu the error message says video deck is not connected. Should I plug in the camera to read the video or can I use (preferred) the flash card stuck in a card reader? Obviously just a beginner with this and want to get off to the correct start.

    Yup! If you create a new sequence and place one of your converted clips in it, it shouldn't have to render. If you find that you are struggling with the learning curve of FCE, I would recommend getting one of two training books:
    1. [Final Cut Express 4 Editing Workshop|http://www.amazon.com/Final-Cut-Express-Editing-Workshop/dp/0240810775/ref=sr12?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240436986&sr=8-2] by Tom Wolsky. This is how I learned the program and I can assure you that it is a comprehensive guide with everything from basic to more advanced techniques. I highly recommend it. Tom is a frequent contributor to this forum, so if you had any questions about a lesson then he'd be here to help you out.
    2. [Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Express 4|http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Pro-Training-Final-Express/dp/0321534670/ref=sr14?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240437118&sr=8-4] by Diana Weynand. Though I can't vouch for it personally, I have heard from many people who were pleased with their experience learning from this book, and I'm sure it is quite good also.
    This is amazing, First: 1.) A clip doesn't have to render if it is imported using those settings? But it will have to render if I make changes to it and want to view it? Every time I edit and then want to see the changes played back, I have to wait for.....ev.......er while it renders again and before I can see it. That much is always a pain but a necessary one - I thought.
    2.) I always struggle learning new things so nothing new there. I do have Tom's book and that is what is guiding me to be where I am now. I am on page 62 studying 'Strategies for Capturing" today. I must say that what you have added here to my understanding is beyond what is included in the book, so I feel reinforced with the basics of set-up now and even the comment you made elsewhere about "M for Mark Clip." I'm furiously writing notes into Tom's book as I go along and accumulate clearer understanding thanks to your added explainations.
    I know nothing about the "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Express 4" book by Diana Weynand, but am off on my way to look it up and check it out.
    As evidenced by our discussions here, there are different ways of saying things, and different pieces to every puzzle, so while Tom's book may be complete, I am also getting more by paying attention to the answers I am getting here also.
    Thank You,

  • What is the proper way to set character encoding in an HTTPService request?

    I'm trying to get an HTTPService object's request to have
    proper character encoding. If I do nothing, I get "null" inside a
    Java servlet when I call getCharacterEncoding() on the request
    object. If I do this to my Flex HTTPService:
    httpService.contentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded;
    charset=UTF-8";
    then I get a valid character encoding (UTF-8) in the Java
    servlet as I should. But the problem is that my HTTPService's POST
    parameters are no longer coming along with the request. If I drop
    the charset value and set this instead in Flex:
    httpService.contentType =
    "application/x-www-form-urlencoded";
    then I get my POST params in my servlet just fine, but of
    course, no charset info.
    (For completeness, I am also setting: httpService.method =
    "POST"; and httpService.resultFormat = "e4x"; as well as the URL.)
    How do I send charset info without interfering with the
    transmission of the POST params? This is a serious flaw for anyone
    doing UTF-8 content, because most servers are going to assume
    ISO-8859-1 if you don't send anything specific. It's interesting
    that Flex is actually encoding in UTF-8. I know, because I am
    currently working around the problem by intercepting the HTTP
    request in my servlet and forcing the character encoding to UTF-8
    before binding the params. That's a lousy workaround, though.
    Hint to Flex 3 developers: It would be much more preferable
    to have a setCharacterEncoding method (or characterEncoding prop)
    on the Flex HTTPService.

    Hello,
    I realize this is an old thread, but the problem still seems
    to exist in Flex 3 and I run into it
    Unfortunately I don't understand the workaround.
    Could someone point out in a bit more detail how this should
    be done?
    Many thanks indeed,
    Peter

  • What is the proper way to set up an encoder on an Elvis prototyping board with Labview 2010?

    I am using a PCI-6024E with an Elvis I and MCU Project Board. I've tried using the quadratureencoderm-series.vi as well as experimenting with the counter channels in the Measurement and Automation Explorer; however I have been unable to find the proper channels to read the data from this encoder. I'm having trouble configuring the counter to work properly. Can anyone tell me which pins I should be connecting the encoder signals to? I've attached a datasheet for the motor and the encoder. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi jns0086,
    I see your problem.  I believe that example was written using Traditional DAQ, a set of drivers and functions that have since been replaced by DAQmx. What version of LabVIEW and Windows are you using?  There are some compatibility issues depending on your version on LabVIEW and your operating system.
    In the meantime, if you have everything connected properly, you should be able to count your edges using one of the built-in LabVIEW examples.  Go to Help>Example Finder and then browse for Hardware Input and Output > DAQmx > Counter Measurements > Count Digital Events > Count Digital Events.vi.  See if that helps.
    Have a great day,

  • Proper Way to Set Up SSD and HDD Raid0 on P965 Platinum

    I have a P965 Platinum board in my system.  I would like to install Windows 7 on a new Intel SSD, keeping the SSD for OS and programs and a separate RAID0 for storage.  How do I do this using the ICH8R?  I'm confused on what I have to do in the BIOS vs. using the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.  Do I connect all three disks before OS installation and then enter into RAID setup with ctrl+I, only selecting the HDDs for the RAID?  Is the SSD then seen as a non-RAID drive onto which I can install the OS?
    Thanks, in advance, for any help.

    The first thing you need to do is to actually set the Intel ICH8R Controller to RAID Mode in BIOS Setup (Integrated Peripherals -> On-Chip ATA Devices ->   Configure SATA#1 as ....).
    After that is done and all the drives are hooked up, you can access the RAID Configuration Menu and select the disks that are supposed to be part of the Array.  If you do only select your hard drives, you SSD will simply be not part of the RAID Volume and will be handled as a single non-RAID disk.

  • 301 Redirections - Proper way to set up?

    Hi - I have an quick and hopefully easy 301 redirect question.
    Here is the duplicate title Notice from Webmaster Tools (and this is also showing duplicate content in SEOMoz).
    So obviously I need to do a 301 redirect.
    The top level menus on the site point to the /about version and not the index.html
    the /index.html is NOT the one I want to use for the 301 if possible - does anyone have a suggestion for how to accomplish this?
    Thanks!

    Have you just tried doing the basic issue there and changed title tags?
    Had someone ask this on the forums before and over complicating looking at 301's when they just changed names of items and page titles and fixed it
    Not sure what you mean about /about etc.
    If you have an about page you got several pages related to it? You have a dropdown menu? So you made a folder /about and the landing page index.html?
    If not and it is just one page and you did that you do not need to. /about as a page is all you need.
    You got to remeber that when  you post on the forums you see all your information and sites, we do not so you need to be detailed or exact in your posts so we can get to the same pooint as you in our heads

  • What is the proper way to set up how to stop a web worker?

    The example here uses a pair of bools which is simple and does the job.
    The sample code created when you create a web worker shows using a CancellationTokenSource & a ManualResetEvent which is quite different.
    What's the suggested approach. And if it's CancellationTokenSource & a ManualResetEvent - is there something that explains how best to use them? The sample code provides no hints about how to do this.
    thanks - dave
    What we did for the last 6 months -
    Made the world's coolest reporting & docgen system even more amazing

    Hi David,
    We usually use the worker role to host the long running application process, and we can use the Sleep method to reduce the resource usage like below:
    public class WorkerRole : RoleEntryPoint
    public override void Run()
    { while (true)
    Thread.Sleep(10000);
    //your work .......
    public override bool OnStart()
    ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit = 12;
    return base.OnStart();
    If you prefer to use the CancellationTokenSource & ManualResetEvent with WorkerRole and make your application more consecutive. There is a excellent example provided by Bibhu, I suggest you take a look at it.

  • Integrated Iviews in portal to set in proper way.

    Hi Experts,
    I integrated URL,webdynpro,Transactional,Bw&BSP iviews into the portal.
    Here my question is how to set these iviews in a proper way. i mean i need to give first priority to Transactional iview.then webdynpro,BSP,BW and Url iview.
    I heard that there is a sorting option to get this but i didnt get that address.
    can anyone suggest me to solve this.
    Thanks
    Sreenivas.

    Sreeni,
    You can use sort priority property to arrange the objects. The sort priority is by default numbers between 0 and 100.
    Set the least number to the iview/Workset/Role if you want display them first.
    Make sure that you are setting  sort priority to the corresponding level to arrange them example:
    For example, if you have two roles Role1 and Role2 and each of them havingTwo worksets WS1 and WS2 then, Least sort priority should set to Role2 if you want to display Role2 first over Role1.
    If you want to display WS2 first over WS1 then the least sory priority should set to WS2 .

  • Spa112 proper way to provision

    History
    We have been using PAP2t and they worked and provisioned well.
    I create the file on my tftp server and then plug the PAP2T into my network.  In 5 minutes it has downloaded its config, upgraded its firmware and is registered.  The IVR works after about 5 seconds of plugging it in.  On a rare ocasion or when we are in a rush we get the ip and do a admin/resync
    Using the spa 112 this does not work
    I create my tftp config file and plug in the spa112.  After between 1-20 minutes (usually closer to 10) the IVR comes up and I can get an ip address.  Now I do a admin/resync  to get it to pick up the /spa112.cfg file.  now the spa112 has the profile rule a with all my default configs, profile rule b with the ata specific stuff.  I have to again wait the 1-20 minutes to get IVR to to an admin/resync.  now the spa112 has a firmware (1.1.0) file saved.  I have to do another admin/resync to get it to get the firmware
    It literally takes us 45 minutes on average to get a spa112 provisioned vs 5 min (and no work) on the pap2t
    What is the proper way to provision, shouldnt this work like the PAP2t or the spa50x phones do?
    Shouldnt the spa112 request the spa112.cfg file on boot up as the defualts contain resync at boot?
    Just tired of the spa112
    If anyone has a batch of PAP2T's please contact me 714-338-8807
    Sage

    At the first, 5minutes for PAP2T is so long for me. So I developped procedure to minimize the delay that works for PAP2T. Now, it works for SPA112 as well for me with no modification, I ha snot been affected by problem your described.
    I can describe my procedure to you, it may help you to solve your problem.
    Following data are taken from SPA configured to "factory default" via IVR, then disconnected. Time is in format M:SS
    SPA in question has 1.2.1 firmware, but if I remembered correctly, it worked even with 1.0.2 for me.
    +0:00 - device powered on
    +0:40 - DHCP started by device
    +0:49 - DHCP handshaking completed, device has IP address and option 66 with TFTP server name
    +1:04 - NTP query started from device, got reply from server, completed
    +1:08 - DNS query with TFTP server name, got reply from server
    +1:08 - TFTP RRQ /spa112.cfg, data transfer
    content of first-time configuration file downloaded from TFTP:
            Yes
            30
            30
            Yes
            No
            Yes
            https://test-provisioning...cz/Cisco/Provisioning.php?PRVST=-2
    The trick is "flip/flop" of Enable_CDP. As this attribute require rebot on change, this force device restart. You can use any other attribute that force restart on change. As Resync_On_Reset is set to Yes, new provisionign request will be issued after reboot.
    In advance, there is Resync_Periodic and Resync_Error_Retry_Delay set to 30s, just to be sure.
    +1:09 - first-time configuration download complete
    +1:54 - DNS request for test-provisioning...cz, resolved succesfully
    +1:55 - HTTPS request
         final device configuration downloaded from HTTP server
    +1:55 - device reboot
    +2:43 - DHCP started
    +2:54 - DHCP completed
    +3:02 - NTP started & completed
    +3:52 - SIP REGISTER sent, registration completed, device ready for call
    You can compare my results with yours. It may help you to solve the problem.

  • What is the proper way to record line numbers in Master/Detail records?

    Guys and Gals,
    Been thinking about this for awhile, but thought it best to ask the people who really know what they are doing.
    What is the proper way to record & show line numbers in a Master / Detail record set?
    For example, take Master/Detail relationship Orders and OrderItems. Orders has a column Document_Number and OrderItems has Document_Number, Line_Number. Line_Number should contain the row number 1,2,3,4 ... etc. for each row in a document.
    Should I ...
    <ol><li>Add a sequence and a trigger in the database? The FusionOrderDemo does this, but then the sequence never "resets" and I've got row numbers that keep incrementing. So one document has rows 4,5,6 and the next document has 7,8,9 when they should both have 1,2,3.</li>
    <li>Programmatically take care of the row numbers? This seems like I'm asking for trouble. Anytime an insert or delete operation gets done, I'll have to iterate through rows and re-assign row numbers.</li>
    <li>Is there a way to assign row numbers in a table iterator (or data collection?) to an entity?</li></ol>
    Any suggestions would be appreciated. It's looking like #2 is my only option, but if anyone knows different I'd love the input.
    Will

    Thank you both guys.
    As John said, I believe I'm looking for a gap-free sequence per master record.
    The line number of the OrderItems table is the second half of the primary key. The first half of the primary key (DocumentNumber) is the foreign key to the Orders table.
    Think of it like line items on an order or invoice. For example, if you were talking to someone on the phone concerning an invoice, you might say, "The pricing for line item #3 is incorrect." In this case, it's good to have a common reference. Or imagine a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with no row numbers displayed! You'd never get anywhere if you had to explain something over the phone.
    If this is tricky to perform, I take it using a sequence and trigger such as the Fusion Order Demo is the best way to approach the challenge for simplicity's sake?

  • What is the proper way to extend 2nd generation time capsule network to 2nd generation Airport Express?

    I have a Simultaneous Dual Band Time Capsule. Up until now, I have been extending the network with the Airport Express (2nd Gen, the 802.11n model). Since it was not simultaneous dual band, it was extending over the 2.4 GHz band so as it could extend b, g, and n and support my iPhone at 2.4 n as well as my iPad and MacBook Pro at 5 GHz.
    I just bought the new simultaneous dual band unit, which theoreticalkly should be able to extend both bands.
    Now, it is not that simple. I also run a guest network, which I assume also gets extended when WDS is on. I also still have the old Express which I have relegated to another part of the house.
    When I set up the new Express, it asked me which one of the networks I want to join, either <SSID> or <SSID 5GHz>, the automatically generated name for the the 5 GHz band on the Time Capsule. Which one do I join? How do I know that both are extended? When I connect to the <SSID 5GHz> now my iPhone can see that one and connect to it, so I am assuming it is NOT going at 5 GHz.
    And I have no idea at all what the guest network is doing....
    Does anyone have any insight into tthe proper way to configure all the units, and what I can expect? My network is as follows:
                                                                                             Airport Express (Simultaneous Dual Band)
    Cable Modem > Time Capsule (Simultaneous Dual Band) >
                                                                                             Airport Express (802.11n, last gen)
    I want to run guest network (hopefully simultaneous dual band) and personal network. I want the new express to run both bands just like the Time Capsule, and for the old express I want to know which of the two bands I am extending.
    Thank You!

    I also run a guest network, which I assume also gets extended when WDS is on
    Unfortunately, the Guest Network cannot be extended.
    When I set up the new Express, it asked me which one of the networks I want to join, either <SSID> or <SSID 5GHz>, the automatically generated name for the the 5 GHz band on the Time Capsule.
    This likely indicates that the Time Capsule has been setup to use separate names for the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands, instead of the default, which uses the same wireless network name for both bands.
    In order for the AirPort Express to be able to extend both bands, the Time Capsule will need to be configured so that both bands use the same wireless network name.
    Then, configure the AirPort Express to extend the wireless network name of the Time Capsule, and it will extend both bands.  At least, that is the way an AirPort Extreme works, and I assume that the Express is the same. I don't have an Express here to test, but will in another day or two.
    The location of the Express is important, since the 5 GHz signals are not as strong as 2.4 GHz signals. You may need to experiment by placing the Express closer to the Time Capsule than normal.  With an AirPort Extreme, I find that the Extreme must be located no more than about half the distance from the main router to the area that needs more wireless coverage.
    If you continue to use the previous model Express to extend as well, it too must be configured to extend the wireless network name of the Time Capsule. Configured this way, the Express will extend the stronger of the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz signals, so it will likely extend the 2.4 GHz band unless it is located close to the Time Capsule.
    To find out which band the previous model Express is extending, locate a Mac laptop close to the Express and hold down the option key on your Mac while you click on the AirPort icon at the top of the screen. The info displayed will indicate whether you (and the Express) are connecting using 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

  • What is the correct way to set a web application to use HTTP or HTTPS?

    In the past I've always created an HTTP web application as the default zone. Then extended the web app, creating a new IIS website on port 443 and enabled SSL. This seems to have worked fine, but I recently read an article stating that it is not good to
    extend a web app unless absolutely necessary. So can someone tell me what the proper way is to configure a single web application to work with HTTP and HTTPS?

    Extending the web application to support both HTTP and HTTPS is a perfectly good method and in fact is the only way to have a web application support both so what you've done is fine.
    If the web application will only use HTTPS, you can set this up when you first create the web application. Specify port 443 and the SSL option (and ensure the URL has an https://) when creating the web application. You'll need to install the certificate
    in IIS once the web application has been created.

  • Two Xserves running 10.5 Server and setting up DNS...

    Hello.
    I have two Xserves (a G5 and a new Intel), both with fresh installs of 10.5 Server on them.
    Xserve #1 not going to be hosting any external services (FTP, web, email) and only housing internal, mission critical & confidential data (the server is set up with a mirror RAID on the OS drive as well as mirror RAID on the storage drives + nightly tape backups for offsite storage). Right now there are no plans for enabling iCal on this server as we're trying to keep the server as basic as possible (as we can afford zero downtime on this server), but if the initial setup of 10.5 requires configuration at first run to allow this type of thing, I'd like to deal with it now so as to keep my options open (as I know iCal on 10.5 requires Open Directory enabled).
    Xserve #2 is going to host FTP (for external clients) and internal file sharing for the design/production department (basically, for transferring files back and fourth between departments, so no data via this share will be "critical" as it's only temporarily on the server and will always exist in other locations). Even though this server will not host "critical" data, it will share the same backup/RAID scheme as Xserve #1.
    So, I'm curious as to how I set up DNS in this situation (so we can associate a domain name to our static IP address). We already have our main domain setup via 3rd-party hosting service (for web & email as we do not want to bring these services in-house), but we're purchasing a second domain that will be associated with company (via a static IP, so we can give a domain name instead of IP address for people needing to connect to the FTP server, make it easier for employees to remember the address for remote connections, etc.).
    Because Xserve #2 is going to be hosting FTP, would it make sense to setup DNS on this server and not set it up on Xserve #1? Also, and this could just be me being paranoid, but because Xserve #1 will be housing "critical & confidential" data I want to eliminate as much contact with the outside world as possible with this server, so this is another reason I feel Xserve #2 should have DNS running instead.
    Oh, and not sure if this makes any difference, but between the WAN and the LAN is a SonicWALL firewall and currently it deal with port forwarding, etc. depending on what services are being requested from the WAN (ie. remote machine connections, FileMaker remote connections, etc.).
    Any advice would be appreciated!
    Regards,
    Kristin.

    There's a couple of things in your post I don't understand:
    the server is set up with a mirror RAID on the OS drive as well as mirror RAID on the storage drives
    How are you doing this? Both XServes support only three internal drives and two mirrors require 4 drives. Where does the fourth drive come into play?
    I'm curious as to how I set up DNS in this situation
    There are numerous ways of doing this, but with a single static IP address your best bet is to leave DNS where it is - managed by your hosting provider. Just add a record in the domain zone (e.g. ftp.yourdomain.com) that has the IP address of the public interface your SonicWall firewall. You don't need a separate domain for this. You also don't need to setup internal DNS for this (although you may need internal DNS if you're running Open Directory.
    Because Xserve #2 is going to be hosting FTP, would it make sense to setup DNS on this server and not set it up on Xserve #1?
    Assuming you're referring to setting up a DNS server - use them BOTH. Make one of the servers the primary server (I'd pick the internal-only server for this) and set the other server to be a slave (so it copies all the zone data from the primary server). That way you have a replica of the data to provide additional resilience.

  • JDBC & setQueryTimeout - or is there another way to set query timeout?

    I am trying to set query timeout for TimesTen using jdbc library. But it seems like TimesTen jdbc library does not support setQueryTimeOut. Is there a way to set it without having to set it statically in the DNS?
    I tried to set the SqlQueryTimeout in the connection string but it doesn't work either:
         Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
         "jdbc:timesten:client:TTC_SERVER=bleh;TCP_PORT=17013;TTC_Server_DSN=blah;TTC_Timeout=0;SqlQueryTimeout=5;");
    Thanks for your help!

    Thanks for replying. I don't know have good knowledge on Cache Connect. I will have to read on that first.
    It seems like TimesTen does not support jdbc setQueryTimeout. Calling this method on TimesTen jdbc library will return false: supportsQueryTimeout().
    I created a test class for testing the SqlQueryTimeout. I set the TTC_Timeout to 400 seconds and SqlQueryTimeOut to 5 seconds. So after 5 seconds it should time out.
    The way I test it is by putting a break point before executing the query, do a route add DBServer to an un-connectible gateway to simulate the network delay/connection problem and then continue after I added the route.
    After executing the query, instead of timing out after 5 second, it will wait for a few minutes before timing out.
    The code for testing the timeout is as follow:
    public class TTTest {
         public static void main(String[] args) throws ClassNotFoundException {
         Class.forName("com.timesten.jdbc.TimesTenDriver");
         try {
         Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
         "jdbc:timesten:client:TTC_SERVER=server;TCP_PORT=17013;TTC_Server_DSN=server_dns;"
         + "TTC_Timeout=400;SqlQueryTimeout=5;");
         System.out.println(connection.getClass().getName());
         Statement stmt = connection.createStatement();
         //com.timesten.jdbc.JdbcOdbcStatement stmt = (JdbcOdbcStatement)connection.createStatement();
         System.out.println(stmt.getClass().getName());
         System.out.println("Query started " + new Date());
    // Pause here, put a route add and continue
         ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("select count(*) from mse");
         rs.next();
         System.out.println("there are " + rs.getInt(1) + " rows");
         rs.close();
         stmt.close();
         connection.close();
         } catch (Exception x) {
         x.printStackTrace(System.err);
         System.err.println(new Date());
    }
