Properties in TDMS file not visible in Diadem

Hi,
I'am using Diadem 2011 to read a tdms file created in LabVIEW 2011.
In diadem i cannot see the properties (file, group or channel) i added myself to the tdms file, in LabVIEW withe the TDMS file reader they are visible.
Attached (in the zip), the TDMS file and an word doc with some screenshots.
Somebody knows what i'm doing wrong?
thx

No Properties in Diadem 2011.docx ‏186 KB

Hello Ben,
the properties are loaded but not all properties are displayed in the Properties node in the tree control automatically. The context menu offers the ability to display properties in the tree.
But if you klick on the main root/group/channel node in the tree the properties are displayed in the window right bottom. There you will see your properties.
But in the DIAdem/DataFinder naming conventions following happens.
If you use one of the following characters in a custom property name, DIAdem replaces this character with an underscore: ., :, ,, ;, ', \, @, <, >, #, [, ], %, (, ), {, }, |, *, ?, =, !, ", ^, $, &, +, -, /, and a space.
So if you do not want to run into this you should rename the properties

  • Newly written tdm/tdms file not found

    Hi,
    I am trying to save some simple thermocouple data to a tdm/tdms file.  I run my vi and it seems to work just fine. I am using the NI 9213 getting started example as a basis and have added tdms open, tdms set properties, tdms write, and tdms close.  I can see the data streaming on the waveform chart but when I hit stop and go look for the saved file I can't seem to find it.  What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you

    You are specifying a folder?  You should be giving a full file path (like c:\temp\blah.tdms).  What you might want to do is build a file name based on the data/time.  This way you won't have to worry about overwriting files and what not.

  • Why are shared files not visible when iPhone4S connected to iTunes?

    What makes this problem mysterious is that I have exactly the same settings on the same or eqivalent Apps on iPad2 and iTunes4S but when my iPhone is connected to my iTunes (running on my PC under Win7) it shows no files on Apps like Pages, iBooks, Keynote, and Print-n-share.  Each of these Apps has files and each shows files when  I connect my iPad2.   I cannot export or import filesto/from itunes and iphone because the list of files inside the Apps is not visible in itunes.
    PS I CAN, btw, export and import files by using the amazing App and service "DropBox" which is the only route in and out of my iPhone (I am not ready to use iCloud).

    This is not a reply but an addition.  While searching for answers as to why "Shared" files in original Apps in my iPhone4S did not appear on itunes I came across a similar discussion on another Forum in which Jim described in some detail how to get the two devices (my iPhone 4S and my iPad2) to recognize similar embedded files in similar Apps.  https://discussions.apple.com/message/16690584#16690584
    I went through this promising procedure but it did not help.  Since the two devices are independent (I think -- they are on the same accoubt but ar different devices) I should be able to make them work the same way with regard to what is seem in iTune.

  • Airport Extreme files not visible on USB drive.

    Airport Extreme files on Toshiba USB powered drive not visible through Windows. I disabled antivirus with no change. If I copy files onto it they go but then disappear. If I copy again it asks if I wish to overwrite the file as its already on the drive I just can't see them there. I tried another computer, also Windows 7, on our network with the same results. It is formatted as Fat32 and is recognized by the Airport. It is a 1TB size drive.

  • SQL Developer export files not visible

    Hi All,
    I've started using SQL Developer recently and I am completely new to this tool.
    I've noticed a weird problem. All the export files and the folders I create from SQL Developer is not visible from the normal windows. Say I've executed a query and I need to export the output to a file. I right-click on the data grid; select Export Data -> xls/csv (anything) . I get a pop to mention the Location of the file. I click on Browse ; then select the location and then click on apply. I expect the file to be created. But when I go to that folder; I do not find any files.
    To add on to my suprise; If i click on open a file and navigate to the above mentioned path; the pop-up shows that the file is present in that folder. But it is not visible from Windows. This is of no use as I cannot use those files.
    BTW; version is 2.1.1.64
    Note: I've also enabled the option of viewing all hidden files and folders in Windows.
    Regards,
    Arun

    Hi Arun,
    If you are using Windows Vista, Windows 7, or higher, and writing to a directory (like C:\, C:\Windows\, C:\Program Files\) that Microsoft wishes to protect from malware or just simple clutter , then you are running afoul of a redirect feature in the OS that puts the unwanted file in a VirtualStore folder for your user name, specifically:
    C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\<full path where you think the file got stored>See the following for details:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/folder-redirect-in-windows-7/95218744-37e6-40cd-b890-2e647351df16
    I just ran across this myself for the case of C:\ and perhaps this applies to your situation also.

  • DNG files not visible in Lightroom 2.5

    I've installled Lightroom 2.5 in my old desktop (Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP Home SP 3). After I've imported my camera RAW (NEF) images into Lightroom as DNG, I can see the photo info but photos are not visible.How can I make them visible?

    I wonder if you have been using sidecars, as I had assumed. Maybe you've got a metadata template? "XMP files" norrmally refers to sidecars, but could refer to templates too. So which is it? How exactly have you been assigning this file to images in Photoshop? I don't know the detail of Photo Mechanic, though I'm betting your friend has been applying a template. If you do this first, you can then use that Read metadata technique. Once you've done that once, in LR you can save the metadata as a preset, or sync it to other images. Sadly LR can't read metadata templates directly.

  • TS1493 files not visible on ipod nano after disconnect from itunes

    I have an iPod Nano (6th generation - 16 Gb) which was purchased in early 2011. All of a sudden all files in all categories (music, audiobooks, podcasts, etc) are no longer visible once it is disconnected from iTunes on my laptop. When reconnected to the laptop the files are visible again in iTunes - so they are still on the device.  I have searched the Apple online support info and that only seems to provide complicated and unhelpful information about redesigating hard drive network maps etc., which is an action I am not prepared to risk for fear of making a bad problem worse, or contacting my "administrator" - which is me!  Can anyone offer any solutions that don't require a PhD in computer science?

    Here are a couple of additional pieces of information that might provide a clue:
    1) At home, my iPod shows up as having the name I used when I registered it. On the second computer, my iPod shows up with the name DATA1.
    2) I have an iPod 4GB mini. At home, that's pretty much the amount of space that shows up in the disk space bar (near the bottom) of iTunes. However, on the second PC, the disk space bar shows 10.35 GB used, 15.66 GB free! Which is just freaky, since it's still a 4GB iPod mini.
    3) According to the iTunes display, everything is transferring absolutely smoothly. Since the iPod is configured to transfer music manually, the Do Not Disconnect sign is flashing throughout, but when I'm done and click on the eject iPod button in the lower right hand corner, it turns off, just the way it's supposed to and I can disconnect my iPod. It's just that my songs aren't visible anywhere on my iPod when I try then to play them.

  • Dreamweaver CS3 Remote files not visible

    Hello,
    I have a problem with DW CS3. When I click on remote view, I
    cannot see my files. I can connect via Filezilla, and I can log
    onto the remote server control panel and all of the files are
    there. The site is working fine. When I try "preview in browser"
    command, I get a page cannot be found error. Afterward, there is a
    folder visible in remote panel with the temp file in it. Here is
    what I have tried so far:
    Deleted the site in site management panel and set up again as
    new site.
    Toggled passive FTP, same problem either way.
    Everything was working fine until this week when I started
    having problems getting DW to connect via ftp. The connection
    became intermittent, then seemed to die. Now when I use the site
    management panel to test the connections, they work fine, but I
    can't see the files.
    I have not recently installed or changed any software on my
    PC.
    I am using Win XP
    Any ideas?

    Please tell us the following:
    1. Do you have a Testing server defined? If so, what are the
    field
    contents on that page?
    2. When you connect to the site and then expand the Files
    panel, which
    server icon at the top is selected? Is it the one with the
    lightning bolt?

  • Why is a .txt file not visible on iPod Classic in its entirety once the iPod is disconnected from the desktop?

    I have enabled my iPod Classic for disc use; and previously successfully transferred .txt files.  The latest .txt file is fully visible on the iPod while the iPod is connected to the desktop, but once the iPod is disconnected only about 20% is visible.  It is as though the wheel will rotate no further to reveal the rest.  There is masses of free space on the iPod.

    Only the first 4000 characters of a longer note will appear from the device itself.

  • Edited file not Visible in Organizer

    PS10. when using the organizer I  clicked on full edit saved the file.  The file is no longer visible in the organizer.  File icon shows a broken file.   It is visible with other prgms.  I can see the edited file say in Win explorer etc.

    Hi,
    When you are saving make the file make sure that one of the options are checked:
    Include in the Elements oraginzer.
    Save in version set  with original
    As a copy
    If the first option is not checked then it will not be included in EO.

  • Sharing files between Macs: some files not visible

    I've had a PowerBook G4 for a few years now, just recently got a new MacBook Pro (very cool machine!).
    Don't want to use Migration Assistant as the versions of Mac OS X are so different, also have had a problem with corrupted iPhoto database. I just want to copy over my iTunes database so I can sync my iPod, also some general private files.
    I tried to mount the old mac to the new mac using Firewire, also tried sharing via AFP. That works, I see an icon for the old mac appearing on the desktop of the new mac. But not all the files on the old mac are visible. In particular, I don't see any of the folders under the Music folder when I look at it mounted on the new mac; from the old mac, I can see there are iTunes and GarageBand folders under Music. These subfolders just don't show up when I look at the old mac's mount on the new mac.
    "Personal File Sharing" is enabled under Sharing/Services, and it's allowed under Sharing/Firewall. I tried setting protections from Terminal to allow "group" and "other" read and execute permission, didn't help.
    Anyone else had this problem? What do you think is wrong?
    PowerBook G4 version 10.4.11
    MacBook Pro version 10.6.2

    OK, found the problem. I opened the icon for the mounted disk, and tried to click on the user folder in the side bar, but that led me to the user folder on my New computer. To get to the User folder on the old computer, I had to start in the "Macintosh HD" folder there and then drill down through the "Users" folder.

  • Downloaded MP3 files not visible in playlist. I can find them by going through my desktop Start button and typing in the name of the file and clicking on it, then iTunes opens and plays it but I still can't see it in the playlist.

    I have downloaded several files from a radio stations archives.  They download as MPEG Audio Layer 3 files.  When I go to the playlist that they are supposedly in I can not see them. But if I click Start on my desktop and type in the file names then iTunes opens and takes me to the playlist (where you see no list) and begins playing.   Any idea how I can get the list to show?

  • Custom properties added by EWS not visible in Outlook

    Hi all
    I'm a first-time Exchange and Outlook addin developer and I'm stuck on a problem.
    I'm working on a project where we use an Outlook 2003 addin that tags items; mail, appointments and tasks
    with custom properties.
    In Outlook we do this by adding the data as UserProperties.
    After the items have been saved an onsave eventSink triggers on the Exchange 2007 mailbox server and using CDOEX, checks for the tags, collects some data and sends them to an web service wich stores the data on an AX server.
    This works fine.
    Then we want the AX server to be able to update and create new items back against exchange, and for this we use Exchange Web Services.
    I've made an application that performs the operations agains EWS, and everything works smoothly except when we add the custom properties.
    We add them as extendedproperties with the following code:
    ExtendedPropertyType extendedProperty = new ExtendedPropertyType();
    extendedProperty.ExtendedFieldURI = new PathToExtendedFieldType();
    extendedProperty.ExtendedFieldURI.DistinguishedPropertySetId = DistinguishedPropertySetType.PublicStrings;
    extendedProperty.ExtendedFieldURI.DistinguishedPropertySetIdSpecified = true;
    extendedProperty.ExtendedFieldURI.PropertyName = propertyName;
    extendedProperty.ExtendedFieldURI.PropertyType = MapiPropertyTypeType.String;
    extendedProperty.Item = propertyValue;
    This worked well for the eventSink, we found the fields and got the values just like we did for items tagged by the Outlook addin.
    However, the Outlook Addin could not find them in the UserProperties object for the item, and Using Outlookspy I could plainly see that they were not present.
    After a bunch of searching I found a thread on this forum that discussed adding custom properties as ExtendedPropertyTypes via EWS using a guid as a PropertySetType.
    Here it is: http://forums.microsoft.com/technet/showpost.aspx?postid=1764780&siteid=17
    I followed the instructions here, and now both the eventSink and Outlook are unable to find the properties.
    My question is:
    How can I apply my tags so both my Outlook addin and EWS can create, update and read them, as well as allowing the eventSink to easily read them?
    The simplest way, I imagine, is if I could make Exchange Web Services place the properties in the "UserProperties" object.
    I would greatly appreciate any help.
    thanks
    Ragnar Fatland

    I first created an extended property:
    ExtendedPropertyDefinitionepdGuid =
    newExtendedPropertyDefinition(
    DefaultExtendedPropertySet.PublicStrings,
    "Guid",
    MapiPropertyType.String);
    Then I setup the service:
    ExchangeServiceservice =
    newExchangeService(ExchangeVersion.Exchange2010_SP2);
    Find all the items:
    FindItemsResults<Item>
    userItems = service.FindItems(newFolderId(WellKnownFolderName.Inbox,
    userMailbox),
    newItemView(int.MaxValue,
    0)
            PropertySet =
    newPropertySet(BasePropertySet.FirstClassProperties,
    epdGuid)
    Loop through the userItems:
    foreach(varitem
    inuserItems)
    if(item
    isEmailMessage)
    EmailMessagemessage = item
    asEmailMessage;
    Do a message load with the PropertySet (if you don't do the PropertySet you won't see any extended properties):
    message.Load(
    newPropertySet(epdGuid));
    Then you can loop through the extended properties:
    foreach(varextendedProperty
    inmessage.ExtendedProperties)
    if(extendedProperty.PropertyDefinition.Name
    == "Guid")

  • Emailed EPS files not visible

    A friend of mine has been emailing me eps files from the Mail program on the MAC but I cannot see them as attachments in the email in Outlook or in my webmail. They seem to be coming across as images in line with the text rather than as attachments. Other image types are also appearing inline with the text rather than as attachments but I can see jpeg's, then copy them to my harddrive. The images only appear as normal attachments when another file type is attached also, like a pdf. Is there anyway to make images always attach normally?

    They seem to be coming across as images in line with the text rather than as attachments.
    If this person is using Photoshop for Windows, the problem may be how they're saving the EPS files. The default encoding for EPS (why, I don't know) is ASCII. In other words, as a text description of the data. Have her change the encoding to Binary. That choice comes up when you're either initially saving the file, or do a Save As. Once selected, it will stay on Binary for all future saves.
    But not on those already saved encoded as ASCII, depending on what she does. If she does some minor corrections and just presses Command+S to save the changes, it will be saved in the same manner it was opened as. In order to change any standing files to Binary encoding, she's have to open the file and do a Save As, overwriting the current file.
