Properties: Metadata: Print or Web?

What is the difference in choosing Advanced Metadata, either Print or Web?
The documents we are working with will become downloadable digital content. Does either Print or Web place restrictions on a document, or does the choice of Web compress it?

Thanks for that everyone you were right! I was being super-DUper sMart and Brilliant there and had only been trying to re-arrange within the layout window of the Print and Web areas. I think I was just assuming I was having the same trouble from Lightroom 1 and just stopped trying since it seemed the files either never moved or didn't stick (can't remember now). In any case, Thank you!

Printing a web page results in several pages when it should only be one page. How to adjust?

When I try to print a web page, the result is several partial pages. I've tried to adjust the scaling, but nothing seems to work. Where do I go to make this type of adjustment?

Three possible causes. 
1. The page is made with Frames and each Frame is printing separately. If you right click the page you would see a menu item for '''This Frame ''', if that page has Frames. You'll see that on this test page. http://www.draac.com/framestest.html
2. A wide page margin setting. You might be able to see that in Page Setup > Margins/Header&Footer, but some printers manage to get weird settings that don't show up there. When you look in about:config these prefs are way off print.printer_''printer-name''_Printer.print_margin_left and print.printer_''printer-name''_Printer.print_margin_right
3. A non-standard '''Paper Size''' is set in Properties for that printer as viewed through Firefox. Might set to Custom or to a Photo size.

Make sure you reset all the prefs for that particular printer.

When I try to go to properties when printing, an error message comes up, "Prop Res DLL not loaded"

When I print a web page, and click on Properties in the print window, the error message "Prop Res DLL not loaded" comes up. I can still print, but I can't change anything in the properties menu. I'm using a Dell AIO Printer A960.

I would know how I can print a web template made with Web Application Designer 3.X and that it is in the Intranet.
Actually I'm printing that page with the option of the browser (Internet Explorer) but it print only I see, no print all the chart and the rest of the columns.
How can I print all the data that compose the web template?

First check whether you have change authorizations for WAD, check you user name is added in the role for web templates and also check the authorizations.
then in the web template in the menu bar go to view option ,select web items and properties , so that you can find them in the left hand side, then replace the chart item with the table and assign the query to the table.

The printer works fine with the Safari Browser and with woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages. Help please! It used to print fast with earlier versions of Firefox.

I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

I only get a blank page when trying to print a web page

I have looked up how to print a web page and did exactly as shown on the screen (I did select my printer) but when I want to print a Web page I only get a blank page. I also cannot save as PDF in the Print Dialog Box because I get a blank page there too.
I have tried to disable all my add-ons and extensions and re-enabling them one by one and it did not change anything.
Although I did not specifically notice the exact date, I feel this has been happening since I have upgraded to Mac OS 10.6.4

Wow! After several different attempts to solve my printing problems , the one that worked was the suggestion that I hit "Reset Firefox" button on the Troubleshooting Information page. Once I did that and got back in I was able to print pages correctly. Thank you for all your help and patience.

My wireless HP Deskjet 3050 printer will not print from web sites.

My HP Deskjet 3050 J610 printer will not print from web sites - it prints ok from WORD, etc. I keep getting the error message: "An unknown error occurred while printing." This problem only arises with Firefox browser.
The printer is connected wirelessly to a network and this occurs when I use a laptop on the network. It is also connected via cable to a desktop computer but there is no problem in printing from the desktop.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

That sounds as if you need to investigate to see if you were able to clear all of the paper that was causing the jam.

Firefox won't allow me to print a Web Page. The only option I am given is to Save the Web Page as a PDF File .

In FF 16.0.1 when I try to print a web page I get dialog box to save it as PDF. There is no other choice in the ‘save as type’ box. I do not want to save it; I just want to print it. This happens whether I use ‘file/print’ or the print button on FF. I use Win XP and HP all in one C7280 and no changes have been made recently to either. I looked for FF add- on to disable called ‘hp smart web printer’ that I read about in a closed FF support thread about this same problem but it is not on plug-in or add-on list. I also read in another closed thread on this issue to remove SWP using add/remove programs but its not listed. I believe this problem began when FF upgraded itself to 16.0.1 recently. The problem does not exist when I use I.E. or Chrome so logically it must be a FF issue. Its driving me crazy and I cannot find a solution that works anywhere. HELP please.

The NAME of the printer showed 'document converter'. WELL DUH! That was the problem all along. I have no idea how it got changed but I won't dwell on it. I have never had to look at those 'choices' because I don't need to change anything when I print but its never too late to learn.

Trying to print from web, Instrutctions say first click on F'Fox button but this button is not visible when on the beb page

how do I print from a web page Firefox "help" says 1. at top of f'fox window click on f'fox button however, when at the page from which I want to print, there is no visible f'fox button! What can I do?

Direct Print a webi report, from InfoView

Hi,
I want to direct print a webi report after I open it with InfoView, but i don't know if it's possible.
Right now, when I open a webi report in InfoView I have a button saying "Print to PDF", which will open that report as a PDF document.
But I want to print directly to a printer and not to open the report in a pdf viewer.
Is there a way to have a direct print button in InfoView for webi documents ?

At this point it is not possible.
Here is SAP Notes which clearly state that SAP BOJ is aware of it and got several enhancement request and these requests are reviewed every six months. Since these requests require major changes in the software, SAP BOBJ has not given any time frame of availability of this feature.

How we can print directly a report without preview to a local printer in web-environment, whith Oracle 9ias Report server release 6i patch 11.
The user want to print ticket, built by Oracle Report, without previuw on PDF format, in a web three-tier environment.

When printing a web page, I only get blank pages

I have a new iMac with MAC OS 10.4.11. I connected an HP psc 2175xi all-in-one printer, and when I try to print a web page from Safari, I only get a very small portion of the header and all other pages are blank. When looking at the Print Preview, every thing looks like it has printed fine, but when it is sent to the printer only blank pages come out. I am able to print from other applications fine. It seems to be related to printing web pages only, because I have also tried to print using Firefox, but the same problem occurs. Can anyone please help?

I did not have the HP printer software for Mac OSX installed properly. Once installed the problem went away.

When I try to print from web page I get a dialogue box "Printer not activated - error code 30" followed by a dialogue box "An unknown error occurred while printing". The printer works on websites when I use Internet Explorer. Also, if I copy the web page and paste it into a Word document, I can print a copy. This issue just started this week; I have not encountered this problem prior to this week. Please advise.

Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock), then open Print & Scan
Click the + button at the bottom of the printer list
If your printer appears....not all printers are supported....click on the name to highlight it
Click the Add button to install the printer at the AirPort Express location
Try to print. You must choose the correct printer at the AirPort Express location since the printer is "installed" at other locations on your network.
If you open Print & Scan again, and select the printer at the AirPort Express, there is an option to make the printer the "default" location, so you do not have to choose which location to select when you want to print.
