Properties Panel is missing pieces!

Hello~
Until recently, when I was building CF forms in Dreamweaver I
could click on a cfinput field in Design View and set validation
rules, etc., directly in the Properties panel. However... now, all
I see when I click on a cfinput field is a little CF icon, the word
cfinput, a button "Attributes," and a dropdown menu to change the
class of the object. Is there a way to re-expand this? The
Attributes button isn't really even very helpful! Has anyone else
had this problem? Thanks.

Which version of BOBJ do you use? Which is the exact workflow to reproduce the problem?

Properties panel missing things in css mode (CS4)

Hi - I'm doing a tutorial in css with a Dreamweaver CS4 pre-designed layout. I want to make a nav bar by using an unordered list and hyperlinking the words in the list.
My properties panel (bottom of the window) in css mode does not show a box for links or a gizmo for making lists, indents, etc.Shouldn't those be available?
Do I have to use the menus at the top? Do I switch to <>HTML to get the features that are missing in css mode?
Insights would be appreciated.

They are when you click on the HTML button on the Property inspector.

Missing Dynamic Lighting Bolt on properties panel

Hi all,
CS6 on windows XP. PHP/MySQL local site setup and working fine. Only problem, I cannot bind a recordset to a select list because the lighing bolt / dynamic icon is missing from the properties panel.
At the moment I am opeing an old CS4 version to get around this problem.
All other dynamic behavoiurs etc are working fine in CS6. Updates are done. My version of dreamweaver was purchased a few months ago via cloud membership.
Any help greatly appeciated.

Dreamweaver's server behaviors use deprecated code, which PHP and MySQL recommend should not be used for new projects. The other main problem is that they don't validate the user input. Also, they frequently query the database when it's not necessary. But perhaps the worst aspect is that they give a false sense of security. That's not to say they've got security loopholes, but many people use them without understanding any of the code that's generated.
Adobe's recommendation is to hand-code the PHP or to use a third-party framework. The one I used in my Dreamweaver CS5 book is Zend Framework. A new version of the Framework has just been released, so I'll probably have to update that book, although it's still valid for Zend Framework I.

Is the Advanced Answer Option missing in CP7? (I'm looking in Properties panel.)

Hello there,
I'm new to CP7 but I've seen some online tutorials and they clearly show an Advanced Answer Option for multiple choice question (so I can provide feedback to wrong answer).
Unfortunately I don't see it anywhere in the Properties Panel as I'm supposed to. I just see Character, Format, Shadow & Reflection, Transform.
Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction. (BTW, I have multiple attempts selected in Quiz Properties).

I assume I'm on a normal slide (I am VERY new to CP but I have checked this 2 ways. First, the timeline is not on the Master tab. Second, I have gone to menu at the top for Insert > Question Slide and while there, I noted that Insert > Quiz Master Slide was greyed out and not an option).
I'm afraid I didn't find the 'utils' folder. I looked in all six locations where Captivate has folders (mostly put there automatically) but I may have missed it. I will list those locations below FYI.
However, there has been a solution of sorts. I went into the second folder on the list below and cleared the cache as you suggested. I then ran CP7 as Administrator (advice I'd seen for a different problem on another thread). I created a new blank slide and inserted MPQ. The Advanced Answer Option was there. I then went back the original slide that was giving me problems (still running program as Admin) but once again, no Advanced Answer Option. Strange, no? Luckily, I'm still just at the playing-around stage so it's no problem to kill that first slide and start afresh.
If there's anything else you think I need to know or if you want me to try something else to satisfy curiousity, let me know. Otherwise, I appreciate your advice till here.

On start-up there is no "Properties Panel"
Where is it? How do I turn it on?

I hope you've found it by now. When you have the Object and
Document panels
in a group, the group is call the Properties panel.
Perhaps someone has rearranged panels. You can organize and
rename panel
groups by using the menus in the top-right corner of panels.

CS4, Half Missing Target button in Properties Panel

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody has ever since this: my target button in the Properties Panel is only half visible (and not the good half). I have tried to change the view, even rest it, close and re open the Properties Panle, but nothing works. Anybody has any idea ? Thanks !

CS4 Property inspector fields truncated (Windows)

Character Styles in CSS Properties Panel are not correct

I am using Adobe Illustator CC.
I am trying to export all of the charter styles as CSS. However the CSS panel is not generating the correct style.
Right now, in the Character Styles Panel and CSS Properties Panel I have 3 styles (Default, h1, h2)
This is how they are defined in the Character Styles Panel:
1. [Normal Character Style]:Helvectic Neue LT Std, 55 Roman, 16px
2. h1: Helvectic Neue LT Std, 25 Ultra Light, 35px
3. h2: Helvectic Neue LT Std, 45 Light, 18px
HOWEVER
When I go to the CSS Properties panel the code is not showing the Font Style:

CSS cannot render typographical multiple weight fonts simply because that's just not how it works. All CSS does is reference a physical font file and its properties and while it's possible to use the font-weight and font-style attributes to make standard fonts lighter or bolder it does not compare to anything you would do with the font in a real design environment. That and of course you still need to define fallback/ substitution options - the Helvetica Neue you are referencing is exclusively available on Apple systems only and even if what you are trying worked off the bat, it would be useless on alternate devices that have no access to the font.

I can't edit a Line with the Properties panel - Flash CS4

I have created a line on the stage with the Line tool, and then want to edit the Stroke and Style in the Properties panel. However, after creating the line these options are greyed out and not available to me. Even if I then select the Line with the Selection tool, I cannot edit the Stroke or the Style. It seems to me I should be able to do this, what am I missing?

Normally after drawing the line you only need to click once on it to select it, and with it selected you should be able to access its settings in the properties panel.

Properties panel doesn't show dimensions

Usually when I create a rectangle I can see the dimensions and coordinates in the properties panel. However on my machine at work the dimensions and coordinates are not showing in the properties panel. I think someone has turned off a configuration but I don't know how to turn it on again. Please can someone help me with this because I need to measure a design. Thank you

Good call. This question seems to come up regularly. You're viewing the "collapsed" version of the Properties Inspector. If you double-click the tab, or single-click the arrow in the upper-left corner, you'll see the full, "expanded" version, which includes the dimensions and coordinates that you're missing.

Css properties panel won't allow changes

Every time I try to make a change within the CSS Properties Panel, everything disappears and will not work. I have brought this to my teachers attention, and he says I have done everything correctly, so I am completely unaware of what the issue is. On top of this, it seems like DW CC has had quite a number of problems, including it quitting itself and not being able to restart. Any help would be appreciated!

Run the validators anyway, "missing apostrophe syndrome" hits the best of us. I'm not saying your professor missed something, but it's possible.
If the code comes up clean, it may be time to move onto some general catch all troubleshooting steps...

Properties panel vanished and other new installation questions

I have installed CC 2014 in a new computer including DW CC. When I open a file, the properties panel, normally at the bottom of the page is missing and I have been unsuccessful at restoring it, which leads to question one: How can I resetor the properties panel? Secondly, for most of the other programs I have found a way to move/copy/ preferences, etc. to the new computer. I have not found that for DW 2014. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

Murray, the AHA moment! Ctrl-F3 does the trick. I looked for properties in the Window menu previously but it did not show. Ctrl-F3 puts it back.

What to do when my new iphone 5 came damaged, is missing pieces, and apple won't help me?!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Apple. I preordered my iPhone 5 as soon as it was available, but did not receive it in the mail until yesterday. I excitedly met the UPS man and ran inside to open my new phone. Upon opening the package, I found that my iPhone is damaged (with dings on the front/side - and it is a white/silver iPhone, not black), the SIM card is missing, AND the earbud/mic/remote is missing!! I spent who knows how long on the phone with Apple customer service, only for them to tell me that my best option is to go to an Apple store and they'll switch it out for me. I was told that they will hold an iPhone identical to mine so that it is ready to go when I get there. I called both of the Apple stores "near" me (both an hour away) and neither would hold a phone for me - so I called later in the day when I was actually able to make it to a store, and they were out of stock. I was told that I should make an appointment with a Genius - but then I would have to come back later to get a phone. Like I said, this is not a short drive for me. I was then told that I could go online after 10 p.m. and reserve a phone, without paying, and pick it up in the store. It seems that is not the case. I have to either open a new account or see if my AT&T account is eligible for an upgrade - which it isn't, because I used that when I originally ordered the phone. So now I'm stuck with a damaged phone with missing pieces that I can't use, and I can't seem to get anybody to easily help me get a new one. I'm about to just call and ask for a full refund and go buy the Galaxy S3 that my parents love so much. They asked me what was so great about the iPhone 5... and I really don't know what to say.
Now what do I do? I'm tired of dealing with people over the phone who won't help me. And the Apple Retail stores aren't being very helpful themselves. Ugh!!!

ConfigTool Login problem..SecStore.Properties file is missing..!

I am unable to open Configtool since the SecStore.Properties file is missing which is supposed to be available in /sapmnt/<SID>/global/security/data/SecStore.properties..
Below is the error being thrown while starting configtool.sh...
Error while loading the securestore..
Msg: File"/sapmnt/<SID>/global/security/data/SecStore.properties" does not exist although it should
The OS is Solaris 10..How can i resolve this issue..Can i just copy it from some of colleague or just create it with the necessary parameter ( if yes,what is the procedure to create such file )

Hi,
I am a new user having super admin role.Ours is EP 7.0 Standalone JAVA with LDAP.
Actually, the file SecStore.properties is not been created or not been used for my user.
when i try to start configtool with my own UID/PW i get this error.
My question here is..Am i supposed to use Administrator (since, its standslone JAVA ) or the <sid>adm as per everyone's suggestion.
I guess i can use both Administrator and <sid>adm for configtool since both needs master password to login. but, why not my UID/PW which has Super admin role..??!!

I tried to delete the layer attempt again. I am in a Photoshop class, but the work is all online, so all my teacher is going to do is send me to this site. I am trying to edit a photo for this class, and without this working, i go to filter>render>light effects. the bar and panel will pop up for about 2 seconds, then disappear. How do i get the options bar and properties panel to display?

I was about to suggest resetting LE from the Workspace drop-down top right corner, but if you can't see the Options Bar, I guess that is not going to happen. The normal Tool reset is grey out for LE, so it might be a case of resetting Preferences.
Reset Preferences
Windows — Hold down Shift Ctrl Alt immediately after starting Photoshop
Mac — Hold down Shift Cmd Opt immediately after starting Photoshop
