Properties shell for 64-bit version?

Hi,
I am currently running Adobe Reader X for 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit but it the PDF metadata that used to show is in Explorer is not showing (title, author, keywords, etc.). I read on another forum that this is caused by the fact that pdfshell.dll is still a 32-bit version even though the product states that it is for 64-bit systems. I really need these properties to show. Is Adobe going to update this anytime soon?
If not, can you please tell me about a reasonable alternative that I do not have to pay for? I want the information to show like it did on XP in where you could right click on it and then select properties and all of them would be there. But I think, because Windows 7 and Vista support it, could the information also show in column view and at the bottom by the properties bar.
Could someone please help asap?

Photoshop CS4 32 bit settings work for 64 bit version?

Anyone know if Photoshop CS4 32 bit settings work for 64 bit version? I just installed Windows 7 x64 and I want to use my backup Photoshop CS4 settings from the 32 bit version. Will there be any problems?
Also, it seems that since I'm on 64 bit Windows 7, the installer forces me to install the 64 bit version of Photoshop CS4, although the 32 bit version is optional. Are the 32 bit settings stored in a different location from the 64 bit version? Or will both version use the same settings from the same place?

I think you are misunderstanding me. The sharing happens via the user home directory (C:\Users\[You]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe ...). 64bit specific settings will be denoted with an X64 in their file name, 32bit settings will be without any extra tags. Beyond that, the programs do not access each other's program directory, which shouldn't be required in the first place, as the default templates are the same for both to begin with. You can of course also copy your brushes and presets to the program directories, but then you will have to worry twice about keeping them in sync.

I assume you have tried everything here?
iPod: Cannot restore or update in iTunes with error 1415, 1417, 1418, 1428, 1429, 1430, 1436, or 1439
It doesn't mention 1442, but the same troubleshooting applies.
It wouldn't hurt to also try another available USB port on your machine and another sync cable if possible.
Lastly, try restoring the iPod on another PC or Mac running iTunes.
If you know of somebody with a PC running Windows XP still, ask them if you can download the reset utility and use it to reset the Shuffle.

Doublechecking. What's the filename of the installer you've been downloading? (The 32-bit installer is called iTunesSetup.exe, and the 64-bit installer is called iTunes64Setup.exe.)

Looking for 64 bit version of firefox, pre-release or Beta ok

I have Win7 Pro 64bit. Was having issues with continuous crashing of flash. I installed Adobe Flash Square version10 64bit with Firefox version4, reduced # of flash crashes.
When firefox pushed out version 5, I installed it & the browser kept dragging/crashing all over again. looked up Adobe Flash Square to see if any info avail, Adobe had Adobe Flash Square version11 64bit, so I uninstalled version 10 prior to installing version11 per Adobe instructions. Although it has helped, it is not where it was prior to installing Firefox 5.
I have tested Firefox 5 with the current Adobe Flash 32bit release as well, and what can I say, it's not work the effort on my 64bit system. for some reason this combo maxes out my cpu (2.8 dual core) & memory (4 gb + virtual), causing me to hard boot my system.
I understand Firefox devs are working on a 64bit version for Windows. I would like to volunteer to test it. I have many years of SW design & QA experience so any bugs I find I will fully document.
The 64bit version of IE works well with the 64bit Flash, lots better than 32bit version, but I prefer to use Firefox or Chrome (I often utilize both simultaneously, each on own screen).
Please let me know if a 64bit version of Firefox is available (pre-release/beta ok) & if it is not is there an expected availability date?

Nightly is a pre-release testing version of Firefox: bleeding edge and not necessarily stable. It is Firefox -- a rose by any other name, and all -- but it is buggy, as all testing software is (I'm using it right now). New Firefox versions are born from Nightly, so when a 64-bit version of Firefox is released, it will have come from Nightly development. Use it for general browsing and send feedback (Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General) and you will be helping to beta test a new baby Firefox.

Update to 14.2 only worked for 32 bit version of Photoshop

I have just run the updates for 14.2 through Adobe CC. CC now says all of my apps are up to date, but when I run Photoshop (64 bit) it is still only version 14. The 32 bit version has updated to 14.2.
I have tried quitting the cc app, re-booting, signing out / in etc and I still have the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can choose either 32 bit or 64 bit install before you use the Product Key.
But as Hans mentioned, if you use the product key on both, it will count as two installs of Office and you may get the error like "The Product Key is invalid".

Can't install latest patch, "Patch Module for 32-Bit Version of Lenove Patch Utility" v 1.0.3

I'm hoping someone can offer some help: I am unable to install the above patch on a T61 w/XP Pro/SP3. Error is simply, "1 Package did not install." Manual install gets same result. In the past when a patch did not instaqll I have had success by downloading and manually installing it, but I can't find the executable for this particular patch. Can anyone make a suggestion? Or point me to the executable?

This is how I was able to successfully install the Lenovo Patch Utility:
1) Enable if necessary and log into the built-in Administrator account.
2) Run System Update. Download and install the Lenovo Patch Utility (unsure if this is a necessary step,)
3) At this point, the Lenovo Patch Utility is not installed. The previous version of the Lenovo Patch Utility will display in Programs and Features.
4) Run System Update under an administrator account. Download and install the Lenovo Patch Utility (I ran this under a user-created Administrator account; unsure if works under built-in Administrator account..) Lenovo Patch Utility will no longer appear in Programs and Features. This indicates it has been succesfully installed.
5) Disable built-in Administrator account if desired for security reasons.

How difficult is it to find drivers for 64 Bit versions of Windows 7?

Do you need 64-bit? Snow Leopard's Boot Camp 3.0 provides the basics. Whether you need add'l drivers or not...
You as good as possible, whether BC 3.0 is is another story.

I can't get a laptop PC to see my Airport Extreme. When I tried to download Bonjour I got an error message to check if the PC is 64-bit, which it isn't. Any ideas on where to go?

Hello I recently contacted NIabout installing Mathscript and Signal processing toolkits for my Labview 200964 bit that I am running on Windows 7. From this link it is my understanding that I cannot run any programs thatcontain an astrestik, since they only work for 32 bit version of Labview? In particular I really need to use Mathscript. Is there any workarounds? Do I have to also install the Labview 2009 32 bit version? Doesanyone know when Labview will allow me to run everything in the 64 bit versionof Labview? Thanks.

Hello Kevin,
There is no workaround available, and there are no released dates as to if/when Windows 7 x64 support for the toolkits in question will be introduced.
The LabVIEW Mathscript RT Module is not supported in LabVIEW 64-bit as mentioned at the bottom of the following page: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361F-01/lvhowto/labview_mathscript/ .

There is only 32-bit Firefox. It works the same regardless of whether you have a 32-bit version of Windows or a 64-bit version.

Problem upgrading 32 bit version moved to Windows 7 64 bit machine

I used the PC Mover program I bought from Dell to move all my applications from mu old Dell Dimension with XP SP3 to my new DellStudio with Windows 7 Professional. The 32 bit version of iTunes won't uninstall or repair. The message says "This iTunes installer is intended for 32 bit versions. Please install the 64 bit version." However, when I try to download and install the 64 bit version, it downloads and starts the install, but then I get basically the same message that the installer is a 32 bit one. Can someone please get me the steps to fix this?

Have you tried downloading and saving the installer then runnning it, rather than selecting Install from the download screen?
