Property Editor is missing from page editor

Hi,
We are on EP7 SP10. Strange one - the page editor does not have a property editor in it.
I've logged a call with SAP but was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue?

Hi Milan,
Navigate to User Admin --> Identity Management, and select a user. In the general Information tab there is a property called Activate Accessibility Feature.
For an end user, they go to the portal personalziation link (Personalize) in the masthead, and then go User Profile.

If the file was also on a mac, then there was a local copy of the file in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. If you use Time Machine or any other backup program on your computer, then try restoring the file(s). Similarly the same thing would be done on a PC, but I'm not sure where the icloud local copies are kept.

Publishing page from Page Editor in Web Page Composer

I am developing a proof of concept web page in WPC (SPS14). I have followed the configuration steps and granted myself Full Control in the KM toolbox and the PCD. I've granted myself the wpc_editor_role, and granted myself Full Control to the Sites folder in the web content.

I am not able to see the Publish button (as well as Finish/Unlock, Preview, Versions, and others). I only see Add, Edit, Change Layout, Change Cache Properties, Check Links, Clear, and Information.
Has anyone else encountered this? It seems like a permissions issue, but I've turned on Full Control everywhere I can find.

I had figured out the same work around(copy and paste) when I worked on EP 7.0 sp13, that was the only option.
The other alternative to that is to integrate the TinyMCE editor, check this relevant link.

Harvard List Style missing from Pages

I am a student. I went to try to create a new document to take notes for my classes this semester and saw that the Harvard list style was missing from the list of styles found on the side bar. I believe this is an issue with iWork 9.3 update. I tried going to iWork on the Cloud to impliment it there, but it was not listed there either. I tried to uninstall and reinstall iWork, but to only have the issue rise again. Is this just missing from the update or am I missing a file?

Harvard is a List styles. You also have a template named Harvard

IDoc Message Structure Missing from Condition Editor - SWCV Dependency

I have an issue whereby I am missing the Message Structure in the Condition Editor Dialog while doing Receiver determination. I have seen others posts with the issue but none of the solutions seem to apply to me. My config:
I have a SWCV called MY_SAP_BASIS, which is defined in the SLD with SAP BASIS as prereq. I import this SWCV into IR and build some objects. I wish to use an IDoc, so I import it into SAP BASIS, and it appears under my SWCV (MY_SAP_BASIS) in the "Basis Objects" section, but not directly under "Imported Objects" - as I would expect because of the relationship created in the SLD.
My issue comes when I try to create a Rec. Determination. I want to use the condition editor, for multiple receivers, but when I click on the button to bring that up, first I get the error "Message interface does not exist in any software components installed on this business system", then when I try to use the Structure of the IDoc for an XPath, the structure browser is empty.
I can't see why this would be. If I look in the SLD, and look at the Business System in question, it lists MY_SAP_BASIS and SAP BASIS as being installed.
Also, when I do a "Where used" in IR on that IDoc, using my own SWCV and SAP BASIS, I get the same list. I have also checked the GUID's between the SLD and IR, and they are identical (except fpr hyphens in the display, which I am assuming don't matter).
Anyone have any ideas? I assume that if I import the IDocs directly in MY_SAP_ERP, I will be able to solve this. But I would rather the Software Dependency worked!

Many thanks for your replies. But unfortunately I had already checked this and I don't think it is the issue. My first message probably wan't as clear as it should have been: I have a Product "MY_SAP_BASIS" - this has one SWCV under it, also called "MY_SAP_BASIS". This SWCV has a dependency on "SAP BASIS 4.6c". Now, on the Technical and Business systems involved, the Product "MY_SAP_BASIS" is installed. This, as you would expect from the dependency, brings across the "MY_SAP_BASIS" SWCV and the "SAP BASIS 4.6c" SWCV, so they are both installed on the technical system . So I don't know what else I should be adding? Unless my understanding of Software dependencies is incorrect, I think my config looks right in the SLD. The SWCV under which the IDoc imports are done is "SAP BASIS 4.6c", and this is installed on both the technical and business system. The only difference is that it gets there through a software dependency, and is not added "directly". In IR I can see the imported objects under the "MY_SAP_BASIS" SWCV - in the "Basis Objects" section.
Is there anything else anyone can suggest?

My Sharepoint data is missing from pages. How do I get it back?

I have been putting together our firm Sharepoint site and nearly completed it when all of the sudden my site data disapears.
On any article page that was created, the text and images are simply gone. If I go in and edit the page, all of my applets are gone and I cannot add or edit anything for that page. Any page where a web part is seems to be fine.
Before this all happened, I added a data view web part using SP Designer that connected to our database and pulled down user information. I also may have edited one of the main default control pages on accident while trying to accomplish it. I have verified that the files are physically there on the server and tried doing a restore from with Central Administrator but no luck.
Any clue what I did wrong. At this point, it looks like I will be rebuilding the entire farm from scratch unless there is a simple answer. I have no server backups to restore to.
ADDITION:
This is a publishing site with Office SharePoint Server Publishing active.
I also reverted everything back to the way it was before adding the data
view but the problem persists.

Now that I think about it, I may have messed up the Master Page (or the file
named PageFromDocLayout.aspx, if they are the same thing)

Still missing from Pages ...

One of the (very few) things I miss about Publisher is the ability to place objects on the work area that remain constant across the pages of the document in page layout.
As far as I can see this is still nor present in the latest Pages - in Keynote you can move things to the work area, though they don't remain there across slides, so I'm not sure why this function couldn't be "turned on" in Pages unless it relates to the fact that it has both Word Processing and Page Layout modes.
Does anyone know if this is a hidden functionality that I could turn on somewhere?

I understand making capturing masters but it is not quite what I want.
Say I have a 10 page document. I have an object on page 2. At some point I decide I do not want the object on page 2 but I don't know where I want it yet. I would like to be able to drag it off the actual page onto the grey area and leave it there until I've decided where I want it. Then I might be on page 6 and decide i want it there and I can just drag it in.
As it is now I have to keep a library of objects in a folder and if I want to move an object but don't know where I want it yet I have to delete it and reinsert it when I've decided where it goes.
I guess I could have a master page with lots of objects on it, and that is probably what I will try doing.

Flash file missing from page/layout difficulties

I'm working on posting a new site and have a few problems
that are holding me back! First, when tested online via DW, the
flash movie I have in center of page plays (and is placed)
perfectly. After uploading the page

My tech support for the server said I had it in the wrong folder
and that I should move it "using code." Any recommendations on how

My second difficulty as evident by the page posted, is with the
layout. I cannot seem to keep the banner image cells at the top of
the page aligned properly when I add the 4-row table on the right
hand bottom side of page. If I try to "remove table hts" before
adding the lower table, the banner image at top also gets botched
up! Please help, I'm stuck! Many thanks in advance!

"Save As..." missing from Pages

When I downloaded the 4.1 update I lost the "Save As..." option in my File menu.

I thought that everybody was able to understand why my sentence ended with a smiley.
If I remember well, in this thread, I explained the difference between update (which we got six) and upgrade we weren't delivered so, I just wished to recall to Peter that we weren't asked to pay for something since january 2009.
The removal of Save As… wasn't designed to fix something, it's the way designed to embed the new features delivered by Lion.
I would be surprised if Apple move back.
Given the way I use documents : never use Save As… to create a doc starting from an other one, the new scheme fit my needs.

After applying full scroll bar to the page including header and footer, Text editor ribbon actions cause page to automatically scroll down (while applying formatting)

After applying full scroll bar to the page including header and footer, I have provided content to
the page more than 100 lines and try to format the text from ribbon actions(format text area). On mouse over of font or fore color, the control jumps to the highlighted content area and not able to select the color. The page scrolls down and not able to click
on any action.
Consider this scenario also.
A content editor web part is added toward the bottom of the page.
Text is added to this (direct in the web part, not via a 'content link')
You highlight some text and go to the Markup Style dropdown...
Everything is fine until you hover over the "Paragraph" markup style, and suddenly the page scrolls to the web part you are editing, and you didn't have a chance
to click and apply the "Paragraph" formatting
I have tried testing this with text typed directly into the Content Editor, text pasted in from somewhere else, and text pasted in from somewhere else using "Paste as
Plaintext" option in the ribbon. In each scenario, I get the same results.
Furthermore, I have also tested this in both IE8 and IE9 and get the same results.
I can get it to occur most regularly with trying to apply the Paragraph "Markup Style" but
I've also seen this happen with Font Size (any font size). It's very frustrating since you aren't able to actually apply the formatting you need because the page jumps before you can click. Has anyone experienced this before. Any feedback would
help.

I try to apply full scroll bar to the page including header and footer, the ribbon is missing after I scroll down to the web part. And I cannot apply the "Paragraph" markup style to the content.
I recommend to use the SharePoint core styles to preserve the native functionality and GUI.
By design in SharePoint, the ribbon is always at the top. When you select the content, you can apply the "Paragraph" markup style in the ribbon.

Runtime Error in Web Page Composer (WPC) : Page Editor

Hello,
We are using the Web page Composer to design our portal homepage. The portal version is 7.02 SP6.
We created a site, some site content like banners and articles, and a blank web page. When we try to add the site content to the web page from the "Page Editor" by clicking on the pencil icon -> "Add", a runtime error occurs on the Web Content Browser pop up page. The drag and drop feature to add content is not working either.
The error message is as follows:

Unable to see layout design in page editor

I am using JDeveloper version 11.1.2.0.0.
I downloaded the hands-on practices from the site Tuhra2 – Sample application for the Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook.
When I open the jspx files under Web Content, the visual design does not show up in the Design tab, instead I can only see the tags in text form.
What can I do to see the visual layout of the page?

I'm having same strange behavior.
Before my JDeveloper 11g R2 Design Page work OK. Than I checkout application from SVN to another folder in FS (my JDev was closed meanwhile). I opened JDev and closed "old" app and open "new" (from that different folder) app and my Visual Design Page Editor does not work well (it is rendering well unusual with some kind of structure view).
I have checkouted my app on another computer which has JDev installed in designer works ok. So obviously this is not app-based issue but JDev-vbased issue. What now?
And if I enable Tools -> Preferences -> JSP and HTML Visual Editor -> Show Design Time Messages in Log I'm getting:

Tinymce and similar web page editors

Sites using Tinymce and similar web page editors do not work on the iPad. Is there a fix for this?
Bit of a pain if I want to use my CMS system to update pages on the go (half the reason I bought the iPad) and I now find there are several sites I use regularly that I can't now (from the iPad).
So...any ideas?

How to pass query string from content editor webpart to another?

Should I change the DOCTYPE in the Page Editor Options?

The Document Type Declaration I now have for my two sites is XHTML 1.0 Transitional. On the Authoring tab should I change this to HTML 5? Can this affect the pages I created several years ago with EW?
Also on the Defaults Fonts tab I see I have US/Western European (ISO). Should I change this to (UTF-8)? If I do that, should I also change to UTF-8 in the Site Settings?
I ask these questions because I see these settings in a new book I'm reading about Responsive Web Design. I haven't changed my sites for years and am way behind in my knowledge about how to do it.
One more question - I just read in a book published in 2007 that if I use the default UTF-8 bad things may happen. The author said that EW adds Byte Order Marks to the top of each page. She said that this may cause problems with some web servers and all
PHP pages.

The doctype setting affects new pages created; it does not change old pages. There is no need for you to change your old pages unless you want to / have a reason to.
The language character set under Default Fonts tells you which character set you are setting the Default fonts for, which determines what fonts EW uses in Code View, and in Design View if you haven't specified a font. [This doesn't tell you
what fonts a user will see on your site if you don't specify fonts.] This setting does not determine which character set your pages are actually using. (If you look at UTF-8, you'll see it also has default fonts.)
Site Settings is where you would change the charset if UTF-8 is not what it is currently is set to. (You'll see the encoding in the "Content-Type" meta tag in the page.) This affects new pages you create, not existing
pages.
A book from 2007 does not relate to the current EW4. Using byte order marks on normal pages isn't an issue. Make sure you have php pages unchecked for byte order marks in Page Editor Options. That should be the default setting for EW4.
