Property ignoreHostnameVerification not working when set programmatically

Hi, I'm using weblogic 10.3.2.0. In my code I've tried to set this system property with
System.setProperty("weblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification","true");as I've seen in many places online. However, if I try this and then make an https request afterwards, I still get the exception:
Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: [Security:090504]Certificate chain received from <snipped> - 192.168.184.170 --> <snipped> failed hostname verification check. Certificate contained ...If I just set the system property when starting up the server ("-Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true" as JVM parameter), the https connection works fine.
What can be causing this? Why aren't I be able to set this programmatically?

Thank you Betino, that would explain my problem if indeed it's a "non-dynamic" property as you say. However, I've seen many examples, even in oracle documentation, where it is suggested as a way of setting it programmatically. Pause / Resume button combination not working when set to display for "rest of project"

Good day,
I have created a set of four objects on slide2 of my project
1. Smart Object rounded rectangle with text "(playing) - CLICK to Pause" [this is the graphic the user sees]
2. Smart Object rounded rectangle with text "(paused) - CLICK to Resume" [this is the graphic the user sees]
3. Smart Object rectangle, transparent, used as button, set to not display in project - btn_Resume
4. Smart Object rectangle, transparent, used as button - btn_Pause
A. Script assigned to btn_Pause hides btn_Pause and the "CLICK to Pause" graphic, shows the btn_Resume and "CLICK to Resume" graphic, and pauses the project by setting the system pause variable to 1
B. Script assigned to btn_Resume hides btn_Resume and the "CLICK to Resume" graphic, shows the btn_Pause and "CLICK to Pause" graphic, and resumes the project by setting the system resume variable to 1
C. All items are set to display from the beginning of slide2 for the "rest of project"
On slide 2, the buttons hide/show and pause/resume behaviors work correctly.
On slide 3, the correct initial button and graphic appears, and the click sound works when clicked, but no behaviors (show/hide/pause) occur until a good amount of time into the slide: you can click all you want for 20-30 seconds, but nothing works except the click sound. Eventually, the behavior will work.
On slides 4 and following, the correct initial button and graphic appears, and the click sound works when clicked, but no behaviors EVER work.
If the behaviors NEVER, EVER worked, I would keep looking for what I did not have set correctly, but the correct working on the slide where they are set, delayed behavior on the next, and no behavior on the remainder of slides following has me stumped.

I hope I'm missing something obvious here, and I'm more than willing to face-palm if you tell me . Otherwise, I have not been able to find any setting that makes any difference. I would REALLY rather not duplicate the buttons and scripts on every page of the project. Given the blog posts I have seen saying this method should work just fine, I'm hoping there is a side quirk somewhere that I'm missing.

Without clouding with too much explanation, this technique arose out of a need to deal with (in a different project) objects that were grouped, and wanting to deal with the groups in as simple a way as possible, allow for easy swapping of group assets, and having a few buttons do multiple things. The idea of being able to have multiple interactive buttons stacked on top of each other while appearing for the rest of the project led to trying this simple construct before trying something more complex.
You are correct, that there is a simpler solution, which we ended up using because we were not able to get two interactive buttons stacked on top of each other while displayed for the rest of the project to work properly (although that is SUPPOSED to work, as far as I understand).
Here's what we ended up doing:
A) Two smartshapes used as messaging graphics
B) A single (one) interactive smartshape used as a button
C) A conditional action to pause/resume and show/hide the appropriate messaging graphics
D) All three objects (A&B) stacked, B on top.
E) All objects set to always appear on top, and to display for rest of project.
Our hypothesis, then, is that you are not able to stack interactive objects on top of each other and then display for the rest of the project.
If anyone has evidence to the contrary, we would, gladly, take a look.

Voice Control in Messages means you are using Siri, which is where that feature comes from on the keyboard. What languages does it show in Settings > General > Siri > Language?

Justification property is not working when using a format mask

Hi all,
I have a text item with number data type and right to left reading order,
I put the justification property to right.
I used a format mask to set two decimal places for the entered number.
The problem is the justification property is not aligning right, I noticed that it's aligning right only if i removed the format mask or changed the reading order to (left to right).
I hope there is a solution for this

Format mask and justification will not work for Non english character sets.
To support bidirectional languages such as Arabic, do not use Left or
Right justification (numeric text items can use Right justification). Use
Start and End instead.

Mail for Exchange does not work when set to manual...

I set up mail for exchange and it works beautifully when set to always on, however many times I want it on manual so I can only check at specific times when I'm away from a pc, but it doesn't seem to work.
When I click synchronise, it appears as if it syncs and disconnects, but it doesn't update anything. If I try the same when I'm looking at the mail for exchange settings, then it tries to connect and says error connecting, try again later.
So i switched to always on, it worked, back to manual, and it seems that the first attempt was successful, but I know it'll stop working later.
Any idea what the problem is with manual checking?

NcSetAttr not working when setting Transmit mode

I am using a NI-USB 8472 (low speed CAN @ 33333kbps) device and am trying to set it up for the wakeup mode which states in the devices spec that it has this capability. However, attached is the quick test code that returns and error when using the ncSetAttr.vi to change the transciver mode from normal to wakeup
The error returned from the ncSetAttr.vi is 0xBFF62104: The property ID, attribute ID, or operation code that you provided is invalid. Solution: Read the function description and verify that you provide ad valid ID.
As far as I can see I have everything configured and set appropriately for it to work. Anyone that could help out with why the hardware is not properly being configured for this mode would be appreciated.

Issue with Reminders not working when setting it to arrive or leave a location in iOS7.

Hi all,
Tried everything: Called support and reset All setting. Made sure all "location settings" are set. Restored via iTunes as a new phone, checked all setting again, set a reminder to remind me to get gas when I leave my home, and it never reminded me. Also, doesn't remind when I arrive at a location. I have tried this with my wifes phone (iPhone 5) and my daughters (iPhone 4) all running iOS7 and it doesn't work. I never had this issue with iOS6. All other locations services like GPS, maps, & weather working fine. I strongly believe it's a iOS7 bug. Has anyone else experianced this issue?

Jump to page 5. There is a solution by ben812 that initially worked for me, but after restarting my phone I was back to square one.
I visited the local Genius Bar, and they claim they have not heard of this problem. Whether that is true or not, they know now. One of the employees confirmed that WiFi would need to be on, as the location service checks it first (before using GPS). Seems like a bug, but for now having WiFi on and leaving Reminders running in the background seems to solve the issue.
I hope Cupertino addresses this in an upcoming iOS release.

Cascading LOV does not work when setting the value of the parent LOV with DA

Using APEX 4.2.2.
I have tow LOVs
Parent LOV item is: P50_TYPE
Child LOV item is : P50_PROJECT_ID
In other words in the attributes of the item P50_PROJECT_ID we have :
> Cascading LOV Parent Item(s): P50_TYPE
> Page Items to Submit: P50_TYPE
> List of values definition: something similar to:
Select * from mytable where type = :P50_TYPE
I use DA that execute JS code to set the value of the P50_TYPE item
something similar to:
> $('#P50_TYPE').val(2);
Having done this, the P50_PROJECT_ID item does not get refreshed, when the value of P50_TYPE is changed. Namely, P50_PROJECT_ID remains empty, unless end user manually changes the value of P50_TYPE.
Any help please ?

QUERY ONLY = YES not working when set in CUSTOM.pll

Depending on the responsibility the user is logged on as I have set the element entries form PAYWSMEE to query only = yes within the custom.pll. This seems to work in so far as the elements screen is display-only but when i go into the entry values they are updateable. I have tried setting query only at WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE event and also on WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE but same results.
Would really appreciate any help.

[Bug?] Defer Panel Update not working when changing scale property

Hi,
I found that Defer Panel Update [when True] does not work properly when changing the scale fit property of an intensity graph.
Try the VI.
When Defer Panel Update is True, and you change the Numeric controls, the Intensity graph is not updated (as expected).
But now change the "Z Scale.Scale Fit" button and.... the Intensity graph is updated (only the Z-color, not the axis).
This looks to be a bug to me!

restore your phone as new through itunes. if the issue persists after a factory restore via itunes, it means you've got a hardware issue and the phone needs to be repaired

But still the Horizontal and Vertical Scroll Bar is not working when i run the Form.

You should show block property
and set block scroll bar

Flash catalyst cs5.5 not working when i run the project

when i ran prodjects in flash catalyst cs5 it came up as a webpage that could scroll, now in cs5.5 when i run the prodject it cannot scroll and it doesn't scroll when you export for web servers, help much apreciated.

Css3 animation does not work when triggerd by backing bean method

Hi,
I use Jdev 11.1.1.4 (but I guess the Jdev/ADF version does not matter in this case) and Firefox 15.0.1.
I tested some parts of article https://blogs.oracle.com/groundside/entry/css_animations_the_panel_flip from Duncan Mills.
The CSS3 animation for styleClass "rotateOut" works fine when I trigger it from mouse hover.
The problem is that the animation does not work when I set the styleclass in a backing bean.
In this case the UI component to rotate (in my case the calender component) changes immediatelly to the transition target without the transition-duration of 2 seconds and therefor there is no animation effect visible for the user.
Here the backing bean code:
