Property inspector not loading

Hi
Newbie question.   I am reviewing a mapping and want to see the join criteria between two objects.  I'm told it's displayed in the Property Inspector, but for some reason the Property Inspector wont load when I go to View > Property Inspector.  Nothing happens!   All the other toolbars etc load fine.
Would this be a security issue?
Cheers

Hi,
Your OWB design client layout would have been changed. Delete the OWB preferences from your client PC and restart the design center.
Path to the OWB preferences is as shown below:
c:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\OWB
You can delete the system* folder in this directory and restart the design center.

  • Property inspector not working correctly

The property inspector in CS3 is not working correctly. When
I select text or any other object the property inspector does not
change for that object. But when I right mouse click on the
selected object it does. Do I need to change a setting?
    Thanks!

Yes, me too. I can't find an answer to this anywhere.
If I right-click or double-click on an item the property
inspector shows it, but if I single click, nothing happens. It's
    bad for productivity.

  • Property inspector not appearing

When i design a shape(a rectangle for example) the property inspector appears in the borrom of fireworks window.
If i import though a picture the property inspector does not appear.
    Why that?
How i can fix this issue and the property inspector be appearing in the case also where an image is imported?
Or this cannot be done by definition in Fireworks.
    Thanks.

There's always a way. It just may not be very "automatic" and depends on the bitmap you're trying to replicate.
In FW, you can trying using the bitmap selection tools to select various bitmap elements, then choose Select > Convert Marquee to Path.
Or you can use the vector tools to manually trace over the bitmap.
In AI, there is an Live Trace feature but depending on the complexity of your bitmap, you may not get exactly what you want, so manually editing/tweaking will be needed. Indeed you may end up with a far more complicated vector than you expect. You'll definitely need to experiment with this feature and the Live Paint counterpart to get what you want.
I believe Flash also has a trace feature.

  • Inspector not loading

The Inspector does not load anymore. It stopped loading during a full day of editing Keynote files. The toolbar inspector icon does not trigger anything anymore. Nor do the various options under "View". I tried to correct this by removing iWork 09 and then reinstalling it. Did not help. Apparently I did not get it fully removed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trashing the preference file worked for me temporarily. But as soon as I inserted a table again (or switched to the table inspector), I got the "Keynote has encountered an unexpected issue" again. I tried for almost a full day deleting files, reinstalling iWork etc to no avail. In the end I think I fixed it by going into the "Language and Text" control panel and disabling all languages except for the ones I use (English, Spanish, simplified Chinese). I have no idea how that solved the issue.

  • Property inspector not displaying properties

Trivial problem: DAK why DW8 (8.0.2) Property inspector
sometimes displays just "Div ID, Class and an Edit CSS button" when
within a DIV? When in Code view in a correctly functioning
page, most of the code will have detailed HTML properties displayed
as usual. But in one section - which has multiple nested DIVs with
some other HTML inside, Property inspector displays only the DIV
details instead of the other HTML details - as if it were still
inspecting the DIV tag itself instead of being within the DIV?
The page validates with no errors and the DIVs are closed
with </div> in the right places.

Yes, me too. I can't find an answer to this anywhere.

  • Property inspector not working in fireworks

    Hi folks,
I am using Fireworks CS 5.1 on a MAC Pro. I haven't used Fireworks in ages but I can't for the life of me figure out where the Property Inspector has gone. I'm creating a very simple button. I put a simple line of text on my page, a box and a line. I have selected each one and then clicked the Windows menu and clicked Properties. The Properties box appears but it has nothing in it. Doesn't seem to matter what I click on there are no properties showing up.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Sylvia

A lot of glitches in Fireworks can be solved by deleting the preferences file. First you will have to make sure your Library folder is viewable and you are accessing the root folder on your hard drive. In recent releases of Mac OS, it is hidden by default.
First, show your Hard Drive by following these directions:
In the Finder, choose Preferences from the Finder menu.
Click the General icon on the toolbar.
Select "Hard disks" in the "Show these items on the desktop:" section.
    Close the Finder Preferences window.
Next, you'll have to unhide the library folder by following these instructions:
In the Finder, choose View > Show View Options (or press Command-J).
Near the bottom of the resulting View-Options palette is a setting called Show Library Folder. Enable this option. Your Library folder is immediately visible.
In that folder, find the Preferences folder. Then in the preferences folder, find the file with this name (or similar): "com.adobe.Fireworks.12.0.0.plist" and delete it.
Restart your machine and Fireworks and your problem may be solved.

  • Property inspector not showing classes

Though the page is linked to a style sheet, and also has css in the head, when I try and find styles to apply to new text none appear either in the html or css subpanels. Classes only appear if I put the cursor in previously styled text.
    Page is at:
    http://dp.eca.ac.uk/dp_site/mfa/MFA%20site/leftnavvennel.htm
It is part of a frameset; the complete page being at http://dp.eca.ac.uk then 'mfa' in the top menu and 'project space' in the buttons on the left.
    I am baffled.

For legacy page read page in a frameset. It's reading the css fine if I open the page alone, but not within the frameset. Is this what's supposed to happen?

  • EF 4.1 navigation property not loaded through ODAC adapter

Does anyone know if this is a known issue about EF through ODAC?
I have a parent child relationship entity.
If I find out 1 parent only, I can explore its child through lazy loading.
    But
if I search a list of parents, their children are not loaded except the first one.

The code where you open the context ,do a query, and navigate to a property that doesn't bring back any values.

Same thing started after updating to 3.6.6 on Window XP. Some pages load after doing "shift - Reload page", but not always. Error Console is showing a lot of "Errors" and lots of "Warnings" from pages that do not load. But before 3.6.6 update the pages loaded OK.

  • Not able to change values in the Property Inspector

    Hello!
Can some one please help me with this. I was working in
Director when I noticed that all of a sudden I wasn't able to
change the values in the property inspector, specifially the sprite
properties such as the x and y coordinates and the width and
height. I'll type in a value and then I will get an error sound and
it will revert to the previous value. How can I fix this??
    Thanks!

    Hi Ringerz,
I've seen the PI lock up sometimes. What usually works is to
    switch to List Viw
Mode. Never have trouble there. Then, close Director and
    reopen. Think it's jus a
bug that hasn't been fixed yet.

  • Installed ES - Error when loading adminui: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager

I just installed LiveCycle ES on a Windows 2003 virtual machine using the WebSphere application server.
Everything is finally installed, but now when I try to access the adminui url (http://xxxxx:9080/adminui/login.faces) I receive the following exception:
Error 500: com.ibm.ws.jsp.JspCoreException: Unable to convert string 'adminUIResources' to class javax.el.ValueExpression for attribute basename: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
Am I missing something?  What now?

You shouldn't have any appserver specific libraries in WEB-INF/lib (covered by the webapp's default classpath). Further on the appserver/lib (covered by the appserver's default classpath) should only contain appserver specific libraries and at highest 3rd party libraries which are going to be shared among all webapps. Finally you should NOT have added or modified anything in the jdk/lib (covered by the runtime's default classpath).
So in case of a default and unmodified environment everything should just work flawlessly. In your specific case it seems that you've unnecessarily added/copied appserver specific libraries in the WEB-INF/lib or that you have duplicated EL libraries from (another) appserver in the appserver/lib or maybe -more worse- in the jdk/lib.

  • Save file to desktop, not load in browser window.

    Hello,
I've created a page where I describe certian videos or audio files and then give the visitor the option to download that video or audio clip. These clips are saved as .mov and .wav .
My issue is that I set up a link to those files. When the link is pressed the video or audio loads into a new browser window and plays as opposed to giving the visitor the option to download the file to a location on their desktop.
I need these particular files to be downloaded as files to be saved on the visitors computer and not displayed in a new window.
Is there a setting within the Dreamweaver property inspector where I can set this. Is this a behavior that I need to apply to the link.
As far as the compression on the movie files. I used compressor in the final cut 2 suite to compress these as downloadable mp4 files instead of streaming.
    Thanks for any advice.

    Jeric914 wrote:

No. It's a behavior of the browser nad depends on how the user has configured it, plain and simple. Some browsers will play, some will offer to download, some will do neither and block the content. Anyway, it is good practice to contain data files in Zip archives, if they are meant for downloading. This will also prevent cross-platform compatibility issues and avoid possible damage of the data files.

  • Property Inspector - Missing

How do I load the Property Inspector?  It was there, but now it is not.  I checked Adobe help file.  They talk about the P.I. and how to use it, but they do not say anything about how to load it back onto your window if it does not appear.  (I even rebooted my system and reopened DW, still not there.)
    Thanks.

    Window > Properties
Almost all panels in Dreamweaver have an on/off toggle via the Window menu.

  • Select an Image? Proportional Resize in the Property Inspector?

I'm working in Dreamweaver CS 4 on a Mac. My problem is that I want to resize a jpeg while keeping it's proportions but I can't select it (so that the resize handles appear). When I click on it, I end up selecting the div it's wrapped in (or a div further out in the code). I can select it in the code, but the resize handles still don't appear - just the info in the property inspector shows. So I have two questions:
    1. Is there a keyboard shortcut that helps you "drill down" to select the item you're looking for - like in some print layout programs where you can hit a few buttons while clicking on it with the mouse and it keeps giving you lower and lower objects?
    2. Is there a way to change size in the property inspector where the proportions remain constant?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Max

That's a cool trick - only specifying the width - thanks!
(Eventuallly, I would resize the image in PS so it would not require the browswer to do resizing for me).
In answer to your question, pziecina, no - it's not a background image.
One of the images has a z-index specified because I thought that might help, but it didn't.

MHR was asked to fix a “spongy” area of the floor by the bathtub in a tenant-occupied, rental apartment.
<p>Once opened, it became clear that the spongyness was a symptom of structural damage done during installation of original plumbing. Sections of load bearing joists had been removed to make room for plumbing, leaving the floor system with critical structural deficiencies.
Sponginess was caused by the separation in the toilet waste flange during flushing. </p>
<p> Structure had to be reengineered but replacing the floor joists entirely would have been prohibitively expensive and time consuming. Instead, MHR shouldered the broken part of floor from the apartment beneath and then added posts in the basement which carried the load all the way down to the basement concrete slab. <strong>This re-enginneared design provided a level of structural integrity that exceeded building code requirements and was far less expensive than any alternative approach.</strong></p>
